• Frauke (9/5): Zentrale Lage, sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt! - Die Lage war perfekt! Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und ruhig (außer ein paar Geräuschen von den Tauben auf dem Dach, die ich aber keineswegs als störend empfunden habe). Mein Zimmer hatte eine kleine Küchenzeile mit zwar nicht total umfangreicher Ausstattung, aber für mich allein hat es so gereicht. Das Personal war freundlich und Probleme mit den Töpfen (ein paar waren nicht induktionsgeeignet) wurden schnell behoben. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist direkt um die Ecke. Ich kann das Hotel nur empfehlen!

Ubicacion perfecta - Correcto Las instalaciones de la habitacion estan muy mal (lampara desconectada, desagüe colapsado de la ducha, falta de enchufes para conectar telefono, escalera de acceso a la habitacion superior muy complicada, sin espacio suficiente para dejar la ropa, y los colchones son muy antigues.

• Vivienne (7/5): - Die Lage des Hotels ist traumhaft, zentral gelegen, man kommt überall sehr schnell hin. Das Personal war super freundlich! Das Zimmer war sehr schön und traumhaft groß. Der einzige Minus Punkt ist mit der Lage verbunden - direkt unter dem Zimmer war ein Lokal, wo bis ungefähr 2:00 total laut Musik war, man hat jedes einzelne etwas lautere Wort durch die geschlossenen Fenster durchgehört.
• Nicole (7/5): Decent option if you’ll be out a lot exploring Amsterdam - The room is large, with enough space for three to get ready, and is very close to multiple tram and train options and is centrally located. The bathroom layout is weird, the towels were cheap, there were no outlets by the bed and there were always cleaning supplies cluttering the hallway making it hard to move our bags.

Breakfast selection was not the greatest, but suffice when in hurry. Bad noise insulation, as expected in old building. No inside lock on door. Squeaky doors. No air conditioning, so beware in summer.

L’insonorizzazione non è il massimo, si sente un po’ di rumore, ma ok. Voglio dire grazie alla ragazza di reception Elisa. Oggi al check-out, prima di andare in aeroporto, non trovavo più il mio telefono. Lei mi ha aiutato tanto, ha chiesto anche ai colleghi, ha controllato le telecamere e mi ha aiutato a chiamare il telefono. Per fortuna alla fine l’abbiamo trovato! Grazie davvero a Elisa, è stata molto gentile e mi ha fatto stare più tranquilla perché ero in ansia. Se torno ad Amsterdam, torno qui 🥹💕 Np

The cleaner didnt replace the used teas and coffees but I asked at reception and they said to take as many as I needed.

Пліснява, подерті меблі, грязні фіранки, порвані рушники, відсутня сушка для рушників. На меблях був шар пилу при заїзді. Також паралонові матраци, дуже м'які і не дуже зручні для сну, особливо, якщо плануєте довгострокове перебування.

• Ivan (7/5): Good, relatively affordable hotel in a location that is very hard to beat. - This hotel is perfectly located inside what would be the original walls of the city. It is on the southern tip of the main "island". There are dozens of restaurants and shops around, for all budgets and most tastes. It is far from the red light district, and families can stay here without ever interacting with any of that. It is walking distance to half dozen museums, and given how gorgeous the city is, we walked to the main museums (Rijks, Van Gogh) without feeling it. It is very hard to beat this location for convenience, including public transport. Breakfast is a good value, but the local bakeries and restaurants are excellent, so though competition unless you are tired. My room had a good sizes mini fridge and basic appliances (Nespresso pod coffee machine, kettle to boil water, plates, silverware, etc.), and free decent coffee pods and tea. The front desk is open 24/7 and the staff is courteous and efficient. The photo I added was taken from my room and shows the Munttoren, which was part of the original city wall. For Americans (like me) not used to this, you can rely on public transportation to work like clock work, clean and very convenient. You can tap your phone to pay, and once you figure out your first train station, you will have figured most of them out. It is hard to describe room sizes - compared to Paris hotels, the rooms are huge. Compared to London, it is good sized, but ceilings are low. If you're American, it is a good standard size, but the bathroom and showers are tight, and watch it while taking your t-shirt off - I punched the ceiling (I am 5'10'' or 177cm). The hotel building was converted from a traditional house, and its walls are not thick or sound insulating as a modern hotel is. Combined with tourists from every time zone imaginable, it ends up being noisy. The street noise exists, but it was less of an issue. The beds are narrow (but comfy), and towels and toiletries are very basic.

Minpuntje waren de twee persoonsbedden, was ineens mijn duifje kwijt, lag tussen de bedden. Minpuntje 2 toiletpapier, voor 272,= mag je normaal toiletpapier verwachten niet een kant en klaar papier-mâché product.

On the other side: feels like little management on the premises and as result pretty discombobulated, from friendly one-person check in to not the cleanest overall. More problematic, don't sleep on the street side or you'll be up every morning at 6 when the deliveries for the larger Hotel de L'Europe in front start very loudly.
