• Binnie (9/5): Would Definitely Recommend - Property was incredibly central. At the heart of Amsterdam, near sites (red light district, central station, Anne frank house). The staff were so attentive and so lovely 10/10. The property was a bit loud in the evening however that’s nobody’s fault or anything that can be fixed, just a setback to such a central location in a bus city.

• Diana (4/5): - The location was good. A characterful area during the day, then increasingly busy during the night as you would expect within this district. Lots of bars and eateries VERY steep and narrow stairs to the rooms above the ground floor bar. The key "safe" was accessible without using the passcode, so anyone could have picked up an available key card! My room was very basic. Fairly clean, but the decoration poor and worn.. Neither the air con or the TV (situated above/behind the bed) worked. I reported these via WhatsApp, and got a swift reply. They couldn't be fixed, so I got a 50 euro refund for the 2 days. On the first night, the noise from the guests in the next door room was incredibly loud and went on until @ 2am. I didn't feel very safe and the bar downstairs was closed. The following night was quiet. On the second night I used the bar downstairs and liked the atmosphere and the friendly bar man. For £140 a night (midweek), for my single room I would have expected better. I wouldn't recommend Hotel 55 to single women or those with any health issues, including problems with stairs!

Both check in and check out was quick and easy. Basic but very clean rooms. Overall good value for money.

• Sheila (4/5): ok - i spent more time exploring so I loved Dam but will defo not book here again - Location is the saving grace, 5 min away from the Centraal station. Nearby food spots and easy to get too. The windows are not possible to open, so there is no fresh air - avoid in the summer, there is air conditioning, but again no fresh air. The shower is a half-meter section next to the loo. It will wet the entire floor, irrespective of if you use a towel or not, and there aren't enough places to put anything in the bathroom; the door for the toilet doesn't close. The walls could use some fresh paint, the wall was scuffed and dirty from probably normal traffic. Also be mindful as there is a bar downstairs so watch out for drunkards who will block the access to the hotel, that can be a tad unnerving, but the location is on a very busy street, so it's not enirely bad.

Kõrval valik võrratuid toitlustusasutusi mõistliku hinnaga. Väiksemat tuba ja kitsamat treppi pole vist varem juhtunud kasutama. Dušš oli hea, vett piisavalt, puudus dušikardin.

Everything in the distribution was in place and we had nothing to complain. We even got a discount for the bar 55 Because we were in the center in noisy street we had some problems with that

• Bathilde (5/5): - L'emplacement au centre ville très pratique La chambre était sale: poussière, sol non lavé, pas de gel douche, bouilloire remplie à moitié avec un reste d'eau, salle de bain sale ( lavabo douche et miroir). Le personnel devait nous remettre du gel douche mais ils ne l'ont pas fait malgres nos demandes et n'ont proposé aucun geste commercial.

The bar makes good drinks too. All around very accommodating. We could hear people from the bar all. night. long. I could hear their conversations word for word. It woke me up multiple times in the night.

• Medhat (1/5): - Rien Franchement je n'ai rien aimé du tout, la chambre en général est sale, le pied du lit est cassé, nous avons des trouvé des tâches de sang sur le lit, et les fenêtres de la chambre ne servent à rien car on arrive pas à dormir à cause du bruit. Le rapport qualité prix est absolument nul. Pour le prix je ne vous conseille pas.

• Sean (1/5): Wouldn't stay again! - The location The fact that the room we was given was not the one I had booked when you flushed the toilet sewage came up through the shower drain hole and smelt disgusting under the beds looked like they haven't been cleaned in a long time absolutely understandable really.....

Jokios spintos ar kabyklos. Kambarys neįtikėtinai mažas. Ant sienos pakabintas televizorius, į kurį aukštesnis žmogus gali susižeisti. Jo tokio minimalaus dydžio kambaryje nereikia vissi.

• Axel (2/5): Pésima - Solo la ubicación Sucia y muy cara para lo que ofrecen, la entrada es una escalera muy empinada y el check in es en un bar??? Además se escucha todo el Ruido de la calle y la música del bar del hotel de abajo! No recomiendo quedarse ahí!!

• Berta (2/5): Horrible - La localización es excepcional, es lo único bueno que tiene el hotel. Habitaciones sucias, no se ve nada de inversión en la renovación de habitaciones para lo caro que resulta el hotel. Movimos las sábanas bajeras y los colchones daban realmente asco, muchas de las lámparas no funcionaban, otras estaban llenas de polvo y suciedad y la habitación destaca por su falta de limpieza. No es acorde calidad precio para nada. Deberían mejorar sus servicios e instalaciones para pedir el precio que piden. Toda queja se queda corta para lo mal que estaba la habitación.

• Marc (4/5): The location is perfect but it’s not a great stay. - It’s in a pretty ideal location, not even a five minute walk from central station. It was quite warm with the radiator on. It looked run down inside, I had no bed sheets on my bed which looked heavily stained. I didn’t meet a single person from the hotel for check in or out. They just leave the card for the room in a key safe at the front door.

Dado a la fecha en la que estuvimos hacía frío y la calefacción funcionaba perfectamente y lo más importante que cuenta con baño privado Para saber y tener en cuenta, si llevan valijas muy grande, puede que sea dificultoso para subir las escaleras; ya que son muy verticales y angostas.
• De Block (5/5): Amsterdam was de moeite waard - Locatie en barman top, weinig tot geen last van de ligging midden op de wallen. Kamer was zeer klein, wifi en TV werkten niet. Een heel storende putjeslucht, bij het doortrekken van de wc kwam het gebroebel uit de wastafel en douche.
