Guest Reviews
- Roberto (9/5): Buen alojamiento - Muy buen alojamiento en el centro de la ciudad, cuidado y relativamente nuevo. Cerca de todo lo importante.
- Lau (1/5): don’t have any services - don’t have any services don’t have any services
- Rosalie (3/5): -
- francis (6/5): -
- Rintario (8/5): Very good -
- Elsbeth (7/5): Good - The shower was good. The bed was comfy. The bathroom door did not close which was inconvenient. No real greeting/check in from staff and no staff around to ask any questions. The air con was set to 17 degrees and unable to turn up or down or off, this was okay for us but would be uncomfortable if you did not like room cold. The room was very small and had no window. The entire room was tiled and a lot of them were peeling or chipped. The bathroom was dirty, the mirror had not been wiped or the soap dish. Overall this place had a very odd vibe.
- Serena (6/5): Pleasant -
- Thomas (7/5): Good -
- Gage (8/5): Very good -
- Lucas (2/5): Would never recommend, very dirty room - Very dirty room. Our room was full of dust that triggered strong allergies. Even after asking the staff to solve it, they were not able to get the room properly clean. There were also more than 2 cockroaches in the bathroom. I would never recommend this place.
- Denisa (10/5): Exceptional - Small quiet room, with a kitchen, washing machine and dryer.
There is a nail salon on the base level, and one room on every floor. The rooms have one small window in the bathroom, ac and a fan. I loved my stay there, definitely would recommend.
- Joelimsg (8/5): Very good - If you are looking for a hostel, this would be at least a 9.
Price is reasonable, quiet room. Staff are friendly. Room is slightly smaller but it's ok. Location is great. No lift only stairs but I don't stay too high so it's fine. Overall still pretty comfortable. Nice decor. So far nothing
- Carmela (7/5): Good -
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (1/5): Don’t stay here - Felt sorry for the staff member who was just relaying messages from I’m guessing his manager? - We arrived at the other branch and the staff tried to put us in a disgusting room we hadn’t paid for, which looked vile and nothing like the rooms on the listing. After refusing we eventually went to the other location.
- When we got to the correct location the room wasn’t clean, it had a toe nail on the desk, stains on the sheets. The design was okay but it just felt grubby. The reception area shown in the listing photos is actually a nail salon, again nothing like the listing photos.
- The location is down an alley which stunk of piss and was surrounded by a wet meat and fish market which was so off putting.
Overall unsurprisingly we left a day early having not being able to stand more than 24hours in that place.
- Deniz (6/5): Pleasant -
- Vilda (3/5): Poor - The room was clean and bed was comfortable We had check in at 2pm and arrived at 7pm and when we arrived the room wasn't cleaned so we had to wait, we went out to eat and when we came back there were different people at the reception and they didn't know about our booking, when we worked that out the AC in our room didn't work, we had no shower gel and a really weird shower
- Ph (10/5): Reasonable base to explore HCM - Good value for money. Yes, you will walk through a nail studio when entering and some rooms might not have windows, but you will have a quiet night therefore.
Strong AC & Hot Shower. All good. .
- Stefan (1/5): A misleadingly advertised and potentially dangerous stay. - The bed at Meow Hotel & Cafe was a reasonable size, with a comfortable mattress and a decent duvet. Having hot water readily available was a plus. The name and images for Meow Hotel & Cafe were highly misleading. Instead of the advertised cat theme and cafe, I encountered a nail salon upon arrival. The room wasn't ready at check-in (2:00 PM), causing a 25-minute wait. Cleaning staff were unprofessional (loud swearing, joking about locking someone in the room). The room lacked proper ventilation, and the bathroom had a major safety hazard: the shower was directly next to an exposed power socket. No cafe, and questionable legitimacy (no visible hotel license). Checkout was also inconvenient with no staff at the reception (nail salon). The price (405,000 VND) felt overpriced given the misleading advertising, safety concerns, and numerous other issues. This was a disappointing and potentially dangerous stay.
- Claudia (8/5): Very good - cheap, good location, kind people. washing machine there were fish heads and other foods left in my fridge. small room with no window. suitable for short stays
- Minna (5/5): No staff, never again - Location is the only thing I liked. The guy who works there keeps his scooter on the front door so that you can't even fit to go in/out. Super annoying. The room was very small. No window even. The bathroom door was broken and stuck. Dirty bedsheets but I think they also accidently put me to wrong room, they said 5 but ment 6 and there was nobody to excort me in to the room. There was no staff. I had to carry my super heavy bags from 5 th floor alone. Very steep stairs. And since there was nobody there I decided to change the bedsheets also by myself. I found some when I checked all the cabinets. A guy was sleeping on the floor when I left. Never again.
- Leon (9/5): Superb - Quiet room, Quite dark but perfect for a good long sleep :D
The bathroom was nice and I was also always greeted friendly when entering the hotel.
There were some hairs in corners but overall it was very clean, nothing to complain about for me personally. -
- Giovanni (8/5): Good price for what you get - Very efficient and price friendly if you are looking for something where to crush and have a shower. Better option than bunk beds
- Shanks (10/5): Great price for a private room - Great value, good quiet spot in a fun location.
- Pauline (8/5): Very good - Modern, clean, well equiped and nice location ! Really small rooms, sheets doesn’t smell nice.
No space to chill outside of the room.
- Jack (4/5): Disappointing - Nice spacious rooms Bad Mould in bathroom and nobody to check you in
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (8/5): Fine for what we paid! - Decor was nice. It was comfortable. It was very barebones and basic. Room had no windows. No fridge or kettle.
- Leonie (9/5): Would definitely recommend - The room was clean and comfortable. It has no windows but due to nice lighting and a cute design it didn’t bother us at all. The air quality was good and it was quiet at night.
- Alžbeta (10/5): Exceptional -
- H (9/5): Superb -
- Hana (7/5): Good place to overnight for amazing price - The room is clean, quiet and well equiped - muggs, kettle and iron included. We also used luggage storage which helped us a lot the last day of our stay. The lady owning the place is very kind and helpful. You can refill your bottle with water in the ground floor. The room has no window and it's quite complicated to turn on the shower - there should be some manual printed on the wall. The surrounding of the hotel is a bit dirty and smelly because of the markets.
- Angela (6/5): Ok for a night or two - Owners was nice but can’t speak a word of English. Basic room and bathroom. No tv
- James (8/5): Very good - Clean, had all the essentials. Cheap. Good value. No English spoken but no issues with that really.
- Kiara (10/5): Exceptional - Room was exactly as pictured, it was very clean, comfortable and had everything you need. Nothing! Only think to note is the neighbours and surrounding can be a bit loud so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
- Mariam (10/5): Exceptional - The place is nice to stay
The lady didn’t speak English, but was very helpful
Clean and fresh
- Andre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mitchell (8/5): Quite decent, good value for the area - Good value, location, bathroom. Mattress is end of its life, no filtered water in the lobby, people will park their scooters directly in front of the entrance of the property which was quite annoying
- Bryning (9/5): Nice quiet and comfy - Friendly staff, was scammed by my driver and they listened and tried to help me. One lady had very good English. Super comfy beds, nice and quiet (was on 3rd floor). Nice clean rooms. Would definitely stay again. Maybe a number to call when you need to checkout, i still needed to pay them but couldn’t find anyone and the number didn’t work on booking .com. Apart from that was great
- Kassy (7/5): Good -
- Khaled (8/5): Very good - Clean hotel . Clean room. Good location aircon works very good Wifi not good 2 Mbps the maximum i got in room 1 and room 4
No plug next to pellow
- Emma (7/5): Good for a short stay in Saigon - Comfortable bed and air conditioning worked well. Walking distance to restaurants and bars. Need to walk down a short path to entrance, taxi picks can only be done from the main room. Small room and budget has no window.
- Nicole (8/5): Very comfortable bed and great value for money - The beds were unbelievably comfy! No window
- Maria (7/5): Confortable for a couple of days - The place is at a central walking distance to tourist attractions. The room is comfortable for a couple of days. Even though it is in a very busy place, it is quiet at night. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Megan (9/5): Good location, cheap price and nice room - Amazing location, good sized room, clean and cheap
- Tuong (7/5): Good -
- Olivia (9/5): Superb - Comfortable, good location, great aircon! Didn’t have any windows but this didn’t bother us
- Brooke (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect for solo travellers or those that don't need much space. Clean, modern rooms and bathrooms. Good location in that it's close to everything. Location is close to everything but tucked behind markets which can get busy
- Arianna (8/5): Very good - We liked the location and the cleanliness The bed was a bit small for two people and the bathroom too.
- Таня (10/5): Exceptional - Nice hotel, good location close to cafes and sightseeings. For those travellers who need comfortable and cheap accommodation without great expectation
The lady who met us didn’t speak English, but was nice and helpful
- Christopher (7/5): Good -
- Joel (10/5): Very good value thank you! - Very good value thank you!
- Katharina (5/5): Passable - It is okay for one night. It was quiet, although the area is loud. They gave us room 7, which is on the highest floor. So much walking with all our luggage.. when we arrived in the room, it turned out the air conditioning was broken. We had to change the room. The air conditioning worked a bit. It was still hot in the room. The bed was really hard and we were just happy to check out the next day.
- Vaibhav (9/5): Nice - The property is good value for money Nothing
- Tiernan (9/5): Superb -
- Tom (7/5): Good -
- Elliott (7/5): Good -
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, and the lady was very kind and done our laundry for us.
- Shelley (9/5): Very happy - Location and ease
- Cintia (9/5): Nice place to stay - The room was nice and clean. We came late from our flight but they waited for us. It’s located very central but you don’t hear the noise from the street.
- Allison (8/5): Very good -
- Phineas (7/5): Good -
- Sarah (6/5): Ok for one night but could be improved - Ok for the price; location is good The lady spoke absolutely no English which made the check-in hard; no elevator and the room many floors up —> difficult with heavy suitcase; no safe in room; tiny bathroom; no windows
- Martin (10/5): Just a very nice hostel :-D - It was my return visit and very happy to be back. The lady looking after the home stay is very nice and keeps it so clean.
Note that there is no cafe here but easy walk to lots of great food.
- W (8/5): Very good -
- Bush (10/5): Exceptional - Incredible location in District 1! It’s down a side alley, so a bit removed from the noise of Bui Vien Street, but within super easy walking distance to all of the restaurants, etc. Friendly host, and big/comfy/clean room and bathroom as well. Highly recommend.
- Raparthi (8/5): Very good -
- Laurentiu (7/5): Good -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Millie (8/5): Very good -
- Emily (8/5): Nice place to stay in the centre of the city - The room was small but that made it cosy and it had all the facilities we needed, the staff were friendly and helpful and it was in a great location No major problems would have been nice to have a small shelf by the bed for phones etc
- Han (8/5): So-So - The elderly woman is decent, friendly and helpful. The owner is definitely not responsive:)
She only replies your first message and ignores the rest text you send. And not even says “thank you” after you pay.
- Leonardo (9/5): Worth the money, great location - Location are nice, near bui vien area, can explore a lot of area nearby
Free water
They give you slippers to enter and stay in accommodation which are nice The room can feel a little bit dump or humid, but I got a room number 3 with window so I feel all is good
The bed scent is a bit strong for me at the beginning (must be from their cleaning powder)
- Edward (9/5): Superb -
- Chanyoung (1/5): Bad -
- Loretta (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, walking distance to the centre of Ho Chi Minh and main attractions. The room was clean and modern, and it appeared to be newly furnished. The host who greeted us didn't speak a lot of English. However, she was very friendly and was able to communicate the necessary information about our stay. There was no window in our room, but due to the light colour scheme, this didn't make the room feel dark at all. I enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this property highly if you are staying in Ho Chi Minh.
- Alexey (8/5): Very good -
- Greta (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and very kind staff even if she doesn’t understand English well (you have to translate in Vietnamese). Anyway, she’ll do everything for making your stay perfect! I recommend this place❤️
- Charlotte (9/5): Lovely stay great value for money in a great location. -
- Charlotte (9/5): Superb - Good central location in a busy food market super close to a couple of convenience stores. Older lady who runs it was lovely and we had no problem communicating even if we had no shared language, owner was always contactable if needed. Bedroom air conditioning was great and bathroom was really nice, a bit of a trek up to some of the rooms but free refrigerated water was a welcome bonus. As others have mentioned some rooms have no windows but it does help keep flying insects out.
- Tran (9/5): It’s good for whom just need a place to sleep and go. - Location is great Very small space
- Rieshqa (9/5): Superb -
- Nikita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chương (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hieu (7/5): Good - Overall an economical option The bedsheet feels weird and the room is a bit smelly
- Ahmad (8/5): Very good -
- Beavis77 (9/5): Superb -
- Le (8/5): Very good -
- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Varvara (10/5): Perfect for solo travelers - value for money - clean and at a good location - value for money one of the nights was kinda noisy, but other than that was very good
- Davide (7/5): Good - Price
Position No elevator
Shower
- Michael (1/5): Bad - dirty! no windows small room high price vs cost( add 200000 dong and get nice room.with better location).By far the worst room I had in viatnam.
- Maitham (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
- Jana (7/5): Good location, but missing room service and interaction - The location was good, right next to a market and within a quiet street in the party zone of District 1. They helped us booking a ride to our bus stop on the last day. Also free water, a washing machine and dryer is provided. Even though the hotel seems to be quite new, the room felt incomplete (e.g. some joints of the tiles were filled and others weren’t) and already smelled pretty moldy (but we haven’t seen any).
However, what we didn’t like was the missing communication with the staff. They never even replied to a „good morning“. Hence it rather felt like an Airbnb, also since there was no room service at all and the tiny garbage bin was overloaded after a couple of days.
- Paige (7/5): lovely clean rooms but unorganised staff - very modern and clean. the staff where so friendly and tried to help with every issue we faced. On arrival to the property the room was not ready as the “aircon was being fixed” this was at 7pm after being on a bus for 7 hours. the gentleman offered to take us to their second branch for us to rest whilst we wait for it to be fixed. we were happy to wait in reception whilst this happened as wanted to get ourselves settled down asap. two hours later a man exits our room with a suitcase.
we then waited for the room to be cleaned. after being in the room for an hour we experienced a powercut and also the air conditioning started leaking very badly. (after being told someone was fixing it).
we did have a lovely stay here however the room being occupied on our arrival Aircon leaking (having to sleep with fan) and being lied to was where they let us down.
- Elżbieta (7/5): Good - Very convenient location in the backpacker's area. Free water, electric kettle, hairdryer but very weak in the room. The stuff didn't speak English, it was hard to communicate. No cleaning at all, furthermore trash bin was so small that there was no place to store the trashes.
No kitchen available.
- Kim (7/5): Good -
- Dan (9/5): very nice rooms and such a friendly lady that received us but we didn’t had a window (which we new prior). -
- Margarita (5/5): Passable - It's a safe place, even if I accidentally forgot my key on the door but nobody got it and nothing was lost.
The staffs are friendly and nice. On a very personal level, the price is good enough compared to the quality service. The accommodation is under repair and upgrading so it's unfair if giving any comments at this time.
However, I suggest that the owner can share about their circumstance to the clients for a convenience.
