• Barbara (10/5): Phänomenale Unterkunft in Gjirokastra 😄 - Wunderschöne Hotelanlage inmitten der Altstadt von Gjirokastra, alles bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen, Parkplatz vor der Türe, gutes Frühstück, außerordentlich liebe Betreiber/Eigentümer Leider sind wir erst spät abends angekommen und mussten erst die richtigen Zufahrtswege zum Hotel finden, steil bergauf, für mich mit Nervenkitzel.

The pool had an amazing view and was so nice to sit around! The location is perfect - right between the castle and the town! Could not ask for a better stay from such a lovely family!!

• Guy (10/5): Prachtig verblijf op een top locatie met een super host echtpaar - Dit is echt een top locatie, vlakbij de bazaar en het kasteel, alles op loop afstand. Het was lastig vinden via Google maps (advies: linksom het kasteel rijden) de eigenaar heeft ons telefonisch begeleid en had een parkeer plek voor de deur voor ons. De kamer was super schoon en op het terras konden we een drankje doen.
• Dennis (9/5): Schönes Hotel - Sehr schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage. Man ist in wenigen Minuten an der Burg oder bei den Restaurant. Personal sehr freundlich. Frühstück war reichhaltig und lecker. Ausblick vom hotel war sehr schön und es war sehr schön eingerichtet in der gesamten Anlage. Wir haben die Anfahrt als schwierig empfunden und haben dann in der nahegelegenen Tiefgarage geparkt.

The hotel staff were incredibly generous with helping direct us to drive toward the property when we contacted them, they helped us settle in very quickly, and the pool area was lovely! Breakfast was delicious and everything about the hotel made us feel relaxed and set us up for a lovely time wandering the city. Nothing at all! It was perfect!

• patrice (10/5): A beautiful comfortable hotel with amazing staff. - This is a beautiful hotel, in the family for generations, and beautifully looked after. The breakfasts were amazing. We had to leave early on the last day and they were up early to make breakfast and see us off. A great hotel.

Google Maps kennt leider viele Einbahnstraßen nicht und ist keine große Hilfe. Unbedingt exakt an die vorab Infos vom Inhaber halten um stressarm das Hotel mit dem Auto zu finden.

The room is beautifully decorated, featuring a stunning traditional carved wooden ceiling that gives it a very special atmosphere. At the same time, the bathroom is modern and even has floor heating, which was a great touch. ​The location is perfect—very central, yet tucked away from the noise. We also really appreciated the incredibly detailed arrival instructions, which made finding the place so much easier. The family running the hotel is very friendly and welcoming. And as a bonus, they have a very sweet cat! ​We would definitely stay here again. Only minor thing is that a squeegee in the bathroom would be helpful to dry the shower area more quickly.

• Stephen (9/5): Hightly recommended family run hotel in a great location. - Nice small family run hotel. When we arrived we were given a choice of rooms - all were nice with some larger than others and some with views and others without. The one we chose was a very decent size with a very good large bed. Room and bathroom were spotless. Very nice shower! Breakfast was very good - good selection and nice coffee! Parking was on street directly outside the hotel. When we arrived they had "reserved" a parking space for us with a traffic cone. Location is excellent, just below the Castle and right next to the Bazaar with loads of shops, bars and restaurants. Pay attention to the diriving instrucitons provided by the owners. We used Google Maps on our first day and this brought us up some very steep cobbled roads right through the old town - definitely not the best way :-) The route recommended by the owners was much better (still a little narrow in places, but definitely better than through the old town). The rooms are distributed across several buildings and some of these have a lot of steps leading up to them.

Der Inhaber schickt vorab per whats app detaillierte Anfahrtsinformationen, die man nutzen sollte. Damit ist das dann kein Problem. Nichts zu bemängeln.

Het is wat lastig vinden- rijd om het kasteel heen- je hoeft niet over hobbelige wegen.

• Graham (9/5): Lovely hotel for visiting the castle and old town - I found the breakfast outstanding: eggs and pastries and cakes and fruit all brought to the table. I loved the wooden furniture and wood panel ceiling, and the bed was comfortable and the room warm. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from both the old town below and the castle above. Nothing - this was all we could have wanted in a hotel in Gjirokaster.

Couldn't recommend this hotel enough!

Para repetir. - El estilo tradicional de la casa en la que está el hotel, la amabilidad de la pareja que nos atendió, la ubicación, las instalaciones, las vistas y el espectacular desayuno. El calefactor tardaba en arrancar y no era de fácil manejo. El acceso al hotel es por calles empedradas y empinadas, pero pudimos llegar y aparcar sin problemas.

Los dueños muy atentos, ayudan en todo. El aparcamiento lo gestionaron muy bien. En una de las duchas (cogimos dos habitaciones) se salía el agua, ya lo habrán arreglado.

Balkondan bütün coğrafyayı izleyebilirsiniz. Konumu mükemmel. UNESCO listesinde yer alan mahallenin içinde. Kaleye, Old Bazaar'a, güzel et pişiren lokantalara ve kafelere birkaç adım mesafede. Otelin sahibi Kazım'dan lokanta tavsiyesi istemeyi unutmayın. Banyo biraz küçük. Navigasyon, şehre girdikten sonra otelin bulunduğu mahalleye çıkış için zor yolu gösteriyor. Halbuki daha kolay bir yol var. Otelden bu yolun tarifini mutlaka alın.

• Edi (7/5): Not for the winter visit. - The hotel is centrally located and offers a nice view. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Parking is available in front of the hotel; however, it is public street parking, not private hotel parking — the same as with all other hotels in the area that state they have parking but actually offer public street parking. The hotel is definitely not suitable for visiting during the winter. There is no heating in the bathroom. The room has air conditioning, but it was turned off when we arrived, and the bathroom window was open, so both the room and the bathroom were freezing. The AC unit, which is also noisy and located near the bed, did not manage to raise the temperature significantly. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The road in front of the hotel is paved with stone blocks, which makes a lot of noise when cars pass. There is heavy local traffic late in the evening and early in the morning, and unfortunately, the windows are not soundproof, so the noise level in the room is quite high.

• Maide Mugenur (10/5): Otelde tüm görevliler çok güleryüzlüydü. Otele gittiğimizde restoran kısmında bize dağ çayı ikram ettiler. Odamıza geçti - Otelin konumu kaleye ve old towna çok yakın, iki konumun tam arasında. Çok ideal. The location is excellent, as it sits perfectly between the castle and the old town. Beğenmediğim hiçbir şey yok. There was nothing to dislike.

• Carolyn (10/5): Best hotel stay in Albania!! - This has been my favorite hotel (and city) during my 3 week stay in Albania. The rooms were very quaint, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. The owners were super friendly and welcoming . The hotel is only a 2 minute walk to the bazaar and excellent restaurants. They even have a pool which was amazing during the hot afternoon Loved all of it!
