Location, the noise from the street is too loud even though they were overall location is good. The floor was dirty

• Elliott (4/5): Room was good after we asked to move, but Location and noise is absolutely horrendous! - Room was of a a very good standard, the AC in our second room worked well and staff were accommodating. First of all, the Location of this property is not great- nothing against the hotel itself but from the room you can hear loud music from the pubs clubs and bar on the walking street until late into the next morning, it is as loud as if someone is stood outside of your room with a speaker. So, we struggled to get much sleep. Secondly, in our first room, not only did the AC not work, but the window did not close, so it was very hot and the noise from the street outside was unbearably loud. We complained about this and they moved us to a different room straight away, however it is also worth noting as if this was not available we would have been unable to sleep at all.

La habitación estaba mal insonorizada y como esta pegado a la calle de los bares, no era posible dormir. El recepcionista nos dijo que la música terminaba a las 3 de la mañana ( no nos quedamos a comprobarlo).

(4/5): you call that a mattress ? - the receptionist was friendly, the overall location was ok. we booked a room with King size bed, but what was supposed to be a mattress was only a 2in thick piece of foam. the 2 thin pillows were horrible too. We definitely didn't get any good sleep on our 2 nights there. Also be prepared to listen to loud bar music from the afternoon till about 4am nightly (we knew about that so no complaint, ear plugs help, just info for others considering the hotel). the room definitely needs some updating/repairs..

Since the owner/previous owner was no longer there, I felt that the services and the attentiveness were a bit down…we have to ask a few times during our staying for the room to be make up before it was done and the staff was not very enthusiastic about it….previously, it was done on a daily basis without asking and it should be the way.

• Williams (8/5): Very good - The room was clean, the shower was good, and the staff were friendly. The size of the room was ok and location would have been great if we were 20/30 years younger. If you love to party it's a great location right on top of the music bars. This hotel was right in the middle of the liveliest street 'walking street' if we were in our 20's or 30's it would have been an amazing location unfortunately we are 60 and it was very loud and made sleeping difficult. We found it a little hard to find initially because we arrived in the middle of party time and it's just off the main road.

I got room at the top floor with a broken lift and a single window, which allowed all the noise from the street. Room breaking down, messy under bed. I paid for 2 nights left after one.

We appreciated having an elevator and a window in the room, both kind of rare for budget options in HCMC. The property is located close to a walking street and clubs that play loud music till late, it wasn't a problem for us with the window closed and AC on, but it should be taken into consideration if you are a light sleeper. Would book again.

"CHUM" the receptionist is very helpful as for the lady proprietor she is charming.... The only drawback !!!! The night life is on the next street and it is very noisy at night, so if you are a light sleeper ask for a back room which might be less noisy

• Aren (8/5): If there for nightlife, this is the perfect place - Right off walking street night life. Plenty of food options and in a very walkable area. For the area the noise seemed minimal The first couple days the elevator wasn’t working, so it was a bit of a pain to get our bags up the right staircase, but they did have the elevator fixed the day before we left

This room was on 5 floor, but elevator did not work... Stuff and managers promised to change room, and fix elevator on next day, but as always in Asia, didn't do what, for million reasons ... and many apologies. Room was not changed, elevator didn't work on check out day. Only good thing, is discount from manager.

• Hao (10/5): I’ve been in Vietnam for a month and stayed at many different hotels. This is my favorite because it’s very affordable a - Wonderful staff. Very friendly and welcoming. Great value. I like the location because I can walk to get anything I need. It’s on Bui Vien so expect loud music at night.

• The (9/5): Superb - Staff are super friendly, the location is right bang in the centre of Bui Vien street. If you know the go2 bar, it's about a 10 seconds walk from there. It's a basic, cheap, clean and comfy hotel. Note if music from the street will disturb you then this isn't for you..however was no issue for me. Great stay and highly recommended budget stay. Would like to have been supplied cups and spoons for tea in the rooms - kettle is supplied as is mini fridge.

• Balazs (2/5): Dishonest management - Great location, just beside Bui Vien walking street. However, because of this, it is also very loud during the night - in case you want to get some sleep. We booked a double room a month in advance of our stay at the hotel. Upon arrival, we were informed that there had been a "problem with their application" and that they had only received our reservation the day before. They explained that the double room was no longer available and offered us a three-bed room, which was more expensive. After some hesitation, we accepted the more expensive room. After placing our backpacks in the room, we returned to the reception to make the payment. There, we were told we would need to pay an additional 3% for the three-bed room, which seemed absurd since the room only contained two beds. By this point, we were quite upset about the little game the hotel's management appeared to be playing, seemingly trying to extract more money from us despite the inconvenience they had caused. Their approach felt dishonest and left us questioning their professionalism. Noticing our confusion and frustration, they eventually offered us a "discount", waiving the additional 3%.

• Kuchavo (5/5): Friendly staff but loud music - The staff is very polite, friendly and helpful ready to accommodate your needs and rectify the issues, and the location is good. The hotel is right next to the nightclub which bombards the guests' ears with super loud music till 3+ am making it impossible to sleep and/or have some quite time and re-charge the batteries. I think it would be fair if the hotel description on Booking.com was reflecting that 'feature', otherwise it is not fair in regards to hotel guests and travellers in general who might get a wrong idea about the hotel when making a booking. The hotel changed the owner right before our arrival, hence there was some inconsistency re our arrangements. I think Booking.com should be more in control of the properties they list on their web-site and have more detailed information about them.

• Mitchell (10/5): Great Hotel for those willing to adjust their sleeping hours - clean room; comfortable bed; great a/c; plenty of space; owner allowed an additional hour to check out. No complaints at all as far as the hotel is concerned. The bar by the hotel has very loud music that continues each night until 3am, but the hotel has no control over this. I had to adjust my sleeping hours to account for this. When staying here, one must accept that they need to go to sleep late and wake up late.

Walking street noise at night.. so near as noise is issue at night.. I had no problem at all sleeping ..

Water pressure was very strong and made showers a great experience. Kate also helped me book Grab motorbikes and car. This hotel makes a visitor feel welcome and just so friendly. The location is good if you are looking to explore Bui Vien Street. While the location is great for someone looking to be around Bui Vien street, it can get loud at night and the music continues till 4 AM. Although the room has done a pretty decent job of soundproofing
