• Martin (9/5): Sehr zu empfehlen mit lyrischem Abgang - Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral an der alten Stadtmauer und nur einige Gehminuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt, es hat einen schönen begrünten Innenhof, Parkplätze im Garten und eine Terrasse direkt an der Donau, wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit Ausblick auf die Donau und einen Balkon zum Garten, auch das Essen ist empfehlenswert, die Besitzerin ist sehr nett und wenn man Glück hat trägt sie auch eines ihrer selbst verfassten, unterhaltsamen Gedichte vor Bei einigen Details gibt es noch Luft nach oben: Im Zimmer findet man einen Wasserkocher sowie eine Sonderedition mit Hotelaufschrift von Kaffeetassen und Untersetzer der berühmten Keramikmanufaktur aus Gmunden, jedoch keinen Kaffee dazu, im Frühstücksraum dreht sich eine abgespielte Schallplatte stumm am Plattenspieler weiter aber niemand lässt sie wieder erklingen, überhaupt war beim Frühstück über weite Strecken kein Personal auffindbar
• Hubert (8/5): - Die Lage direkt an der Donaulände, wunderschöner Gastgarten und tolles Team. Das Backhendl war ausgezeichnet. Kann auch sehr gut „direkt gebucht“ werden. Das Frühstück könnte etwas umfangreicher sein aber ich war der einzige Gast, also ok….
• Cornelia (9/5): Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. - Das Hotel hat eine spezielle Atmosphäre, es trägt Geschichte in sich. Der Garten über der Straße liegt direkt an der Donau. Hier ist alles ruhig und entspannt. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, frisch zubereitet. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

• Brigitte (9/5): Sehr erholsam und perfekt für unseren Kurzurlaub. - Wunderschöner Gastgarten. Ruhig, obwohl die Bahn direkt neben dem Fenster vorbeigefahren ist. Ganz nahe beim Bahnhof. Wenn man spät nach Hause kommt, ist es schwierig, das Zimmer zu finden, weil es sehr verwinkelt ist.

• André (10/5): Sehr schönes, idyllisches Hotel mit wunderschönem Garten, direkt am Donauradweg - Das ruhig gelegene Hotel hat einen wunderschönen Garten direkt an der Stadtmauer. Das nostalgische Gebäude wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Zum Abendessen konnten wir dank guten Wetters auf der Donauterrasse Platz nehmen. Das Essen war sehr gut. Wegen des Wetters konnten wir leider nicht im Garten frühstücken, dafür laden die lauschigen Ecken überall im Garten zum verweilen ein. Das Hotel ist für Ausflüge nach Bratislava ideal gelegen. Wir waren für zwei Nächte hier. Zum Abschied bekamen wir noch ein kleines Gedichtbüchlein mit der charmanten Inhaberin als Autorin. Dankeschön für den wundervollen Aufenthalt auf unserer Donau-Radtour!

• Carole (10/5): Great place to stay - It’s a beautiful place, with loads of charm, lovely rooms and gardens and even a little dipping pond for hot weather, the restaurant was great, as was the breakfast. We were able to store our bikes, and even left them in the garage the next day while we explored the town. The room was hot at night and the train goes right past the window . The train wasn’t a problem but at little surprising at first.

Das Hotel hat auch ein Gasthaus dabei wo Preis Leistung passt und liegt direkt an der Donau! Sehr empfehlenswert, kommen wieder!

• Carol (9/5): This was a very successful overnight stop on a cycle trip down the Danube, offering great food and charm. - The cobbled courtyard for eating evening meal and breakfast was lovely and shaded with vines and greenery. The staff were friendly and helpful.The terrace right by the river was a welcome place for a cool beer after a hot day of cycling. The railway line passes between the property and the river above flood level height, but wasn’t a problem as we were unaware of any trains using the line.
• Rhona (8/5): Very good - Tha Goldenen Anker is a small quirky hotel. It is close to the cycle route that we were following. The staff were friendly and helpful. The belreakfast was very good. The room would have benefitted from having a fan because the weather was very warm.

Delicious breakfast in the leafy courtyard with a couple of cute cats for company. Good bicycle storage. Our window looked directly out on to the raised train station platform over the road. Trains were rare but sometimes people waiting for trains were directly opposite our first floor room.

• Yutaka (9/5): Enjoyed perfect atmosphere of a historic town. - Good location. Very close to the air port, Less than 40 minutes. Just 20km to Bratislava. Not so far and walkable to the city center and a big shopping center. Close to the riverbank. Walking along Danube River is very impressive. Traditional but clean and well equipped room. Fine view through the window. Really enjoyed perfect atmosphere of the hotel. No lift to the platform. Had a hard time to bring up my heavy suitcase.
