- Kathryn (10/5): Lovely cabana with roof terrace - Loved this accommodation, just perfect. View of the mountains, quiet but close to town. Roof terrace and little kitchenette. Very friendly and helpful staff who gave us good ideas about where to explore and a lovely restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was delicious and served in the little cafe on the site. Nothing

- Karen (9/5): A beautiful place to stay, with fantastic views over Tilcara - This collection of rooms and cottages is set in beautiful gardens, which are well lit at night. Our cottage was quite rustic, but was very spacious inside, well equipped and had lovely sitting areas outside too, with amazing views. The owner was super helpful with directions and recommendations and there are QR codes in the room for suggesting places to eat or visit. Breakfast was lovely. It would have been nice to have stayed longer and taken advantage of the yoga classes. It's only a 15min walk into town, well lit and safe at night. There is a very steep hill for the last 50m or so, but this was well outlined in the hostel details and is what gives the place the height for the amazing views.
Absolute aanrader!! Niets!
- Wolf (9/5): - The cafecito was absolutely lovely - we enjoyed delicious bread and homemade jams from Gabby each morning. We also booked a massage after a day of hiking and it was the most relaxing way to decompress. The staff communicated well and was accommodating to our needs.

- jose (10/5): - Lugar realmente agradable y tranquilo.

- Kristina (10/5): - A wonderful place to stay. The location is beautiful, though it’s worth noting that the cottages are on a hill, so you need to walk uphill to reach them. The staff were absolutely amazing - they helped us organize a trip to the waterfall: the manager called several drivers and offered us four different options at various prices. The property itself is lovely, very green and clean, with friendly cats strolling around. Breakfast was fantastic, with a breathtaking view. The cottage exceeded all expectations - authentic, cozy, and spotless. We were a bit worried it might be cold at night, but there’s a gas heater inside, so it was perfectly warm and comfortable.

- Helen (8/5): - The location is good - only a 5 minute walk to the square where there are many good restaurants.
The owner is very nice and helpful Our cabin is at the lowest point of the property. Walking up the steps with the luggage when we left was a big challenge for me. Luckily I had my sons helping me.
The breakfast was something I didn't enjoy. The food was very limited and the coffee was not hot.
- Christa (10/5): - Everything. The location. The lovely cabaña. The good vibes and friendly staff. -

- Sheila (9/5): Superb - We stayed in the yellow two-bedroom bungalow, selecting it because as full-time travelers, we like having a living area and this was the nicest one. The unit was large and brighter than I expected, mainly as it has a large sunlight in the kitchen area. The couch and bed were comfortable but are starting to show signs of wear. The kitchen had a lot of pots & pans (5-6?), all good quality (heavier weight) and in good condition. Our unit had multiple outdoor seating areas, in front of the unit (there are now lounging chairs by the hammock), a table to the side in the sun, another larger one at the BBQ, and last, another set of lounging chairs to the rear. All of the units face a center green area, the one with the roof terrace receives afternoon sun, ours was 90 degrees to the right. We had afternoon sun on the tables at the side.
One interesting item we noted was that the floors were not cold. They look like concrete but do not feel like it; whatever they are coated with prevents the cold.
Breakfast consists of tea/coffee, homemade breads with homemade jam and fruit. Note: the owners sell the jam and other items.
Yes, the location is up a short but steep hill. However, there is a sign for pedestrians to take the street immediately before the hill and then you only have a few steps. It's much easier if you are walking. For driving, watch the video the owners send and keep your car in low gear.
The owners and all staff are very friendly and helpful. The pillows were flat and felt worn out.
- James (10/5): I enjoyed my stay here. I liked having my own casita that afforded me a lot of privacy in a very nice setting. - The stone cabins were very nice. Clean, comfortable and plenty of room. The breakfast room was also very nice and the woman who served the breakfast, Macha was awesome. She was very kind and welcoming. It was a little out of the way and up a steep hill. Too close to town for a cab, but just far enough away to be a bit inconvenient. Also, there were a lot of barking dogs surrounding the property. They usually quieted down after 11 pm.
- Joanna (10/5): Exceptional - It was lovely
- Vivien (9/5): Lovely, well-equipped cabins in great location - Lovely cabins, walkable from town but in a peaceful location. Facilities in cabins were really good. Even had tea and coffee making facilities in the cabin, which was the only place I stayed in my 10 day visit to northern Argentina that did. Breakfast could have been more substantial
- Cath (9/5): Beautiful homely cabin. - Beautiful cabin in tranquil surroundings. The cabin had everything we needed including fridge & kettle & was decorated in traditional style. Breakfast was coffee, toast & slice of fresh cake. Would have been nice to have some yoghurt & fruit.
- Belgian (8/5): Great cabins - Excellent location above the village. Very friendly owners. The cabins are great. Highly recommend! The steep turn leading to the entrance can be tricky, even in daylight. The kitchenette wasn't really useful but there are plenty of restaurants in town.
- Anders (8/5): Rustic atmosphere on a hillside - The place on the hillside is very quiet and has an excellent view of the town. The whole area with the rustic cabanas makes you feel relaxed. The huts are well organized and includes access to a lot of tourist information.
The kitchen is well equipped. If you don't have a car, the walk up on the hillside is quite a challenge, in particular the last 200 meters.
Breakfast is quite simple, just coffee and toast with jam.
- Robert (10/5): A gem in Tilcara - This is a charming group of cottages on a hillside over Tilcara. It’s run by a lovely young couple. The cottages were individually built in the local adobe style with all modern conveniences. There were nice places sit and grill. They even had yoga on site. Really a nice place to chill and explore the region. I can highly recommend. The hill climb could be tough for an older person.
- Thierry (10/5): Exceptional stay, great hosts, wonderful energy, great location. - Exceptional stay at Cabanas Malka, from the wonderfully friendly hosts to the site, comfortable room, proposed services and amenities, all made for a truly great stay. I would definitely spend more time here and would wholeheartedly recommend to travelers in the area.
- Ellen (10/5): Highly recommend staying here for exploring Jujuy and recharging - This place is so well designed and feels very serene and comfortable. We stayed three nights and very much enjoyed the property. Breakfast was great and with a nice view of the mountains. The hosts are so kind. I even did a yoga class in the studio on the premise, which I also can highly recommend. -
- Caddel (9/5): A great one night stay. They even have yoga! - Beautiful grounds. The owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. NA.
- Florence (10/5): Very charming place. Friendly staff. Exceeded expectations - Very charming place. Friendly staff. Clean
