Algunas áreas necesitan mantenimiento como el aire acondicionado que emiten ruidos dentro de la habitación o cortinas que no abren adecuadamente debido a los rieles y con que mejoren un poco el desayuno sería perfecto .

Podrían mejorar la calidad de la comida del restaurant, que en si no era mala, pero ofrecían platos complejos que no llegaban a un buen nivel.

Good air conditioning. Lovely pool with comfortable lounges around it. Great breakfast and dinner options. Easy access to taxis for getting to the falls, etc. Time to leave!

Staff were very helpful, rooms well appointed and the included breakfast was plentiful. • Brooke (10/5): The ultimate relaxing getaway & great access to Iguazu falls. - A beautiful location tucked away in the jungle🌳 Taxi service outside with excellent and friendly drivers, and the reception staff were so welcoming and kind. Gorgeous room and lovely pool. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant had excellent options and lovely food making it easy to go for dinner in the evening a short walk from the lodge. My boyfriend was unwell while we were staying here and the team was so incredibly helpful to take us to the pharmacy, extend our stay, and bring whatever he needed to be comfortable.

After a very delayed flight and arriving at the hotel as the restaurant closed, they were still willing to stay open and served us the most delicious meal. We were so grateful. Our room was pretty large with effective air conditioning, and very comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean, although it took us a while to work out how to get hot water! Pool area nice with lots of loungers and parasols. Considering how good the restaurant was for lunch and dinner, we thought the breakfast was fairly poor. Some nice fresh fruit, but then mainly cake and bread products, and some sorry looking tepid scrambled egg.

• Leif (8/5): - Nice location, in general staff were very pleasant to deal with. Restaurant is good and priced ok. We arrived late afternoon after a rainy day, and it did feel like a rundown place, but the next day with the sun shining, the place was transformed. Walls are not very well insulated in the rooms, as you could easily hear neighbours showering, flushing toilets, talking etc. Air conditioning system is very noisy. The rooms feels like they are in need of upgrading (especially at $300+ per night). The other areas are better, although some of the outdoor furniture needs a lot of help. But it has to be a continuous struggle to run a "jungle" hotel.

Special mention to the taxi driver the hotel assigned to us, Ramon, who felt like a private chauffeur for the time we stayed. Would recommend and added to the experience with the location being in the rain forest.

• MARISE (9/5): Encontrei o que buscava, descanso e curti a natureza. - Correspondeu minhas expectativas. A natureza é linda, gostei do silencio, era o que eu estava buscando. Minha sugestão é que se faz necessário o funcionamento do interfone, pois como estava chovendo no dia da saída, precisávamos guarda chuva para chegar a recepção. Poderiam pensar em aquecimento da piscina também, pois o hotel é excelente. Com certeza é um lugar que voltarei, inclusive ja recomendei a amigos.

• Achim (8/5): - Super schöne Lage in Mitten des Waldes. Die Architektur der Anlage ist außergewöhnlich. Der Blick aus den Zimmern geht direkt in den Regenwald, einfach ein Traum. Wir können die guten Bewertungen für das Restaurant leider nicht nachvollziehen. Das Essen kam und aufgewärmt vor, der Salat zwar hübsch angerichtet aber nicht frisch. Die Qualität passt leider nicht zum vermittelten Anspruch des Hauses. Das Frühstück war ok, allerdings haben wir in einfachen Pousadas besseres bekommen

• Patrik (10/5): Wunderbare Lodge in großartiger natürlicher Lage im Wald, ideal zum Relaxen! - Großartige Lodge inmitten eines dichten Waldes, wunderbare Atmosphäre und ein sehr großer Pool. Die Drinks der Bar waren hervorragend, das Essen im Restaurant auch sehr gut. Die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig und über sehr schön angelegte Holzstege erreichbar. Es gab natürlich auch Insekten, aber das liegt in der Natur der Sache eines Hotels mitten im Wald. Wer aber auf gar keinen Fall Insekten in der Anlage (teils auch im Zimmer, wenn man die Türen und Fenster nicht rechtzeitig schließt) haben will, der sollte vielleicht woanders buchen. Uns hat es aber wirklich sehr gut gefallen!

• Birgit (10/5): Wir kommen wieder!👍 - Sehr ruhige Lage, direkt im Regenwald und das ruhige Zimmer war großartig. Der Pool war sehr gepflegt und man konnte gemütlich seine Runden schwimmen. Das angeschlossene Restaurant war immer gut besucht und die Menükarte war sehr abwechslungsreich - tolle Gerichte! Nichts zu beanstanden.

They charge for water, both in the room and the restaurant. During our trip across 4 countries in South America, we stayed in 11 different hotels/Airbnb/boutique hotels, and not a single one charged for water. In a country where tap water is not drinkable, and in a hotel which location is not in the city, this is not okay.

A equipe da recepção cobrou o dobro da taxa de turismo da cidade... tivemos que pegar os recibos e argumentar para que devolvessem o dinheiro. Não são claros com a conversão do câmbio. As bebidas do bar e todos os consumos extras tem preço abusivo... cobram preços altos e fazem câmbio muito diferente do oficial.

The restaurant was a bonus, and their drivers made getting to and from both sides of the falls, and both airports (Argentina and Brazil sides) easy. The breakfast was very basic, the only hot food seemed to be unappealing mini hot dogs in a sauce and often cold scrambled eggs. Lots of yummy pastries though.

Un detalle sin grandes problemas, que los balcones no estan divididos. Pero no afecta para nada al hotel en general.

• Alessandro (4/5): Struttura molto appariscente ma di poca sostanza. - La struttura è nel cuore di una riserva guaranì e si presenta architettonicamente molto bene. Nondimeno, non posso non esprimere un innegabile disagio e senso di colpa per aver alloggiato in un territorio un tempo degli indigeni e ora sottoposto a gentrificazione alberghiera. Non ho affatto gradito la disattenzione e disorganizzazione dello staff. Al mio arrivo la camera presentava un grave danno allo scarico del water che perdeva moltissima acqua: ho dovuto segnalare il guasto due volte in reception per un intervento intempestivo, che si è in buona sostanza concluso con una mera pulizia del bagno. Siccome la perdita proseguiva copiosa siamo stati trasferiti, dopo ulteriore segnalazione, in una nuova camera per la prima notte di categoria inferiore molto rovinata (soffitto macchiato dall’umidità, stipiti delle porte corrosi e arrugginiti, bidet non collegato all’impianto). Ci era stato assicurato adeguato rimborso per il disagio, ma nei giorni a venire nessuno si è occupato né di rimborsarci né di provvedere a porgerci almeno simbolicamente delle scuse. Ho trovato inoltre poco professionale che nessuno si sia incaricato di aiutarci in tutti i trasbordi da una stanza all’altra. Punto a favore è il ristorante, in cui si mangia abbastanza bene e si è assistiti con grandissima professionalità da Fabiana.

• Andrew (6/5): Paradise hotel, lack of service training! - Really modern, fantastic location. Clean, comfy and great views on the balcony. The staff are very lazy in my opinion. Always on their phones, couldn’t care less about the guests. Asked for some fresh milk at reception, the man told me to go get it myself from the restaurant. His colleague was so shocked he jumped up and went to get it. The restaurant staff mixed, nice enough, just seem bored out of their heads. Travelled all over South America, this was our worst stay. Shame it’s a beautiful hotel. It was as If the manager was either not present or on vacation!

La camera super confortevole con ottimi letti e biancheria, ampissima, ben riscaldata (fuori la notte erano anche 8 gradi) ampia terrazza completa di poltrone dove poter ammirare la bellezza del parco. Ottima colazione sempre in un ambiente veramente da sogno. Peccato esserci stati solo due notti! Piscina enorme e contornata da lettini. Top!

The rooms are separated from the main area and joined by sidewalks through it. The staff was very kind and always helpful. I just love it! The restaurant is not always open, so you will need to go out for dining sometimes.

• Agustina (8/5): Good option for a mid-range budget - The location is really cool and the staff is super kind and helpful! The rooms were spacious and clean. The furnishing of the rooms could be updated slightly, as well as the food offerings in the breakfast. There was a really strong smell of humidity in the rooms and all my clothes came back smelling like it. It would be a nice touch to put some air fresheners, candles or diffusers in all spaces as the smell is a bit of a put off.
• mjk43 (2/5): The fine manager cannot alone compensate for this hotel’s failings - Our visit did not start well when we were shown to our room by a very grumpy receptionist (Ivan). On the way to our room, he suddenly started shouting at another guest, ordering this other guest not to take two pool towels, only one. If that is the hotel rule, so be it, but the way in which the receptionist handled the matter so rudely was most off-putting and the other guest was naturally quite upset. After Ivan left us in our room. I quickly found that the room safe had completely flat batteries and when I went to test the shower, the knob for switching between handheld and overhead came away in my hands. I went to Reception (you cannot phone them, only go there or, we later discovered, chat on WhatsApp). I told Ivan what was wrong and suggested maybe the best solution would be to change rooms. He barked (quite untruthfully, it turned out) that they were completely full. He then came to our room, said that maintenance would put new batteries in the safe and, when he saw the shower, accused me of deliberately pulling off the knob, which he simply pushed back on. Luckily, it was set to overhead and we left it there for the three nights, too afraid to try to change it. The maintenance team did replace the batteries and the safe worked after a fashion. The digit zero was completely unresponsive so we had to avoid that in our code. The digit one when pressed would either not respond or produce several ones. Of course this start coloured our attitude to the hotel. But even without it, we’d have been aware of the room’s shortcomings: no drawers and hardly any shelf space; broken pedal bin in bathroom; only one mirror which was above the sink in the bathroom - too steamed up to use when the shower was going, i.e. I could not shave while my wife was showering. No mirror in the bedroom; almost no surface space in the bathroom; Dirty drinks mugs in the bedroom and a few cheap sachets of instant coffee (with caffeine only) and bags of black tea And the minibar list was what I would call “price gouging”. When a city centre hotel charges a substantial amount for a bottle of still water, that is forgivable. If, as is usual, there is a small store only a few minutes walk away from the hotel at which the same bottle can be bought for 10% of the price, the hotel charge is for convenience. But Selvaje Lodge is nowhere near any stores - a taxi would be needed to buy water. So the minibar is selling to a captive audience and it should, therefore, be priced fairly. It isn’t. The breakfasts were poor with fruit consisting solely of very over-ripe melon or pineapple. There were scrambled eggs in a serving dish which, as you’d expect, suffered from standing and were lukewarm warm and rubbery; there was a highly sugared granola, white bread slices, “plastic” cheese and “plastic” ham. We had one evening meal there which could fairly be described as “ok” but no more than that. And the restaurant lacked any atmosphere with at most a couple of tables occupied whenever we went in there. I came back from a day at the Falls and the Itaipu Dam with a very sore back and keen to see a physiotherapist the next day. Ivan was on Reception. He had absolutely no interest in helping to find a physio, making it clear that the hotel “did not do that”. Also our guide from the day trip sought Ivan’s permission to carry our heavy bags to our room. Ivan’s initial response was “no outsiders allowed in” but on this point he did give way following the guide’s persistence. The hotel raised itself in our estimation the next morning when the manager was on duty. My wife explained to her about my need for a physio and Ivan’s attitude (and all the other Ivan issues including sneezing regularly into his hand and then touching everything, unwashed). The manager herself was a star, spending 45 minutes on the phone until she had identified a proper physiotherapy practice which would see me later that morning without a doctor’s referral.
