Ashton (10/5): Westmoreland Lodge is the epitome of South African hospitality. - This was a return visit as it was the SA JKA National tournament 2026 at Ellis Park Indoor Arena. Last year we attended the same tournament and our stay was excellent, so we decided to stay again. I cannot believe that your manageress/hostess recognised us. We felt so important and privileged. We were upgraded to another room just because we were repeat customers. We feel so valued as guests. The infused ethics of pride, passion and customer loyalty was far extended beyond the norm. Please understand that we are very well travelled. We stayed at the Santon Sun three weeks ago, all 5 stars yet nothing can top the sense of belonging. Well done Westmoreland Lodge and staff. We will return.

They need to do something about the tree at the top of the stairs It was hardto bend whilst carrying our luggage. The hot and cold water was a problem when showering,to get it at the right temperature. The place could attract much more clients if well maintained.

Ashton (8/5): I would return. - Easy booking. Easy to find. Casual, friendly staff. The accommodation was VERY CLEAN, both inside, and what I could see outside. Loved the Australian pine floors and high ceilings in the communal kitchen/dining room area. Beds were comfortable. More than enough warm blankets were provided. Thank you for the coffee and sugar. As a local South African that embraces diversity, the gathering at the communal dining area was entertaining. The accommodation was 2.5km's away from the Ellis Park Indoor Arena where we were competing at the SA JKA nationals and JKA World Federation Africa Cup tournament, the biggest tournament in Africa. Represented was Mauritius, Madagascar, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Botswana, Malawi, Angola, Kenya, Tanzania and of course South Africa. It was so quick and easy to get to the venue which drew over 3000 contestants and spectators each day. Please book me a room with three beds for next year's tournament😀. Zelda (1/5): Not fit for accommodation. - Nothing. Everything. They had an ugly old used up 2 plate stove, no microwave, a pan only, leaks when it rains and curtains as dividers. There were no cloths in the kitchen. The hostess was nowhere to be seen and sent someone to deal with us. He was very kind and helpful. He managed to get the hostess to give us a refund through ewallet which he collected for us. We left immediately and got other accommodation.

Innocent (7/5): I enjoyed the stay though it was only for a knight but the place is very neat and more secure. - The apartment was absolutely clean and very nice as well as the comfortability was also exceptional. The location is very safe and its situated in a very quite environment. The only thing which they need to improve is when you get out or when you want to get in and out of the premises you need to call someone from inside to open for, sometimes it takes some couple of minutes for them to answer the call or to respond to you.

MIYU (8/5): Satisfied! - - it was quiet and safe place. - staff are very kind and some of them are living in here and sharing kitchen and washroom with guests. So we could ask them anytime when we need them. - we have booked 1 triple room with shared bathroom and kitchen, but they upgraded to another room with private bathroom and kitchen for free. Thank you so much! - we had lots of laundry but they did it with only R80. - The accommodation fee was cheap and helpful. - the facility needs maintenance. Some lights didn't work and windows didn't close well. The shower temperature and pressure was not stable. - there were some cats from outside. One of us has allergy for cats, so it was a bit problem...but he took a medicine and we managed it.

Precious (7/5): I had an awesome stay however there’s always a room for improvement. If there were no cockroaches. - I didn’t have their breakfast. The location was great because it was quiet. I also like the payment method of not wanting to pay before going to the property. The place looked better than what is on the pictures on the app. I didn’t like the fact that they were cockroaches in our room and not having a refrigerator in the room and I don’t like sharing.

Kari-anne (1/5): Would not recommend. - Our welcome was friendly. We were moved from the rooms we originally booked. I did not mind that however the room we moved to was not what we expected at all. The double bed was broken, the wifi did not work, there were no free toiletries as the website suggests, no coffee/tea/sugar/etc, the room smelled of cat pee, the curtains were see-through, there were rats in the roof making noise all night, cats outside activating the security light on and off all night.

Phumudzo (7/5): My 1 night - My kids liked the pool and they asked his dad to extend it with another night. We booked a 1 bedroom with double bed and single bed sharing kitchen and bathroom. Wow we were offered to stay in a place where we had two bedrooms and a private kitchen and bathroom. Thanks 👍 In the pool kids were not able to play inside as it was deep. The upstairs room does not have the toilet. The comforter seemed to be old enough to be changed , and the sound of the bed.

I also love the tree bark that has grandpa's I loved the garden and the huge space the place has. This place is also great for introverts and also looking for a peace and quite place to destress. The place is close to beauty spa' s and the beautiful eastgate mall. There is plenty of parking space. The sounds of the birds when you wake up...truly amazing. There is indeed safety in the area. If you are visiting during the rainy season please pack your Doom or Raid because the mosquitos are booming.

I expected a room with a kitchen since I was traveling with kids but they said the room with a kitchen was taken. So I had to go to their kitchen when I want to prepare food for my family. There is no privacy. They use the yard as a storage. The place is not suitable for guest.
