• Schuh (5/5): Residenz ????? - Leider enttäuscht: -> der Vermieter hat uns die Skiaufbewahrung nicht ermöglicht; -> Küche im Erdgeschoss war versperrt (keine Möglichkeit sich selber Tee, Kaffee oder Milch zu erwärmen); -> Keine Möglichkeiten für die Schischuhe zu trocknen, mussten die Schischuhe ins Zimmer mitnehmen; -> TV Geräte funktionierten nicht (erst nachdem der Vermieter darauf aufmerksam gemacht wurde, nach einem mürrischen "i weiß eh" hat er am letzten Tag den Fernseher eingeschaltet); -> Gastfreundlichkeit lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig;

• Volodymyr Stupen (8/5): - Overall, everything was as described. The host was very nice and friendly. He met us at midnight. There are wonderful cats in the house, which you should take into account if you have allergies or simply don't like animals. Please note that there is no soap or shampoo, which surprised us a little. However, there is a large store nearby where you can buy everything you need.

• Lucie (7/5): - We received many tips for hikes, dinning and maps from the owner. Bad Mittendorf is close to many phantastic touristic spots. The room was tidy and warm, very spacious. Very close to the main cross-valley road, no kitchen, but the owner provides small fridge, boiling cattle and some dishes if requested.

• Alun (9/5): Great place to stay and explore Austria - Great place to stay while exploring the mid-Austrian mountains and lakes. Helmut is a very considerate and enthusiastic host and is willing to help and give advice and recommendations if you ask. The property is located near the main road which will take you from Bad Mittendorf and allow you to quickly explore the surrounding area, but it’s also within walking distance of the town so you can go out for food or the pub. It’s such a beautiful part of Austria close to Hallstatt and Styrian mountains as well the Salzburg region and lakes There is limited parking space at the property - space for 3 cars. If push came to shove then you could probably park on the road/grass but if you have a rental car like we did then you might be reluctant to do so.
• Cristian (8/5): - The host was super ok! The rooms and bathroom are large and spacious. The host has two cats, beautiful ones, by the way, but their smell may create discomfort for thse who don`t like animals or who are more sensitive to smells.
• Marius (7/5): There are some disadvantages, but all in all the owner’s friendlyness and all the mountains around made this part of our - Very friendly, helpful and talkative owner: very interesting lovely person! The property is in front of amazing mountains view with fantastic sunset to them (visited in August). Unfortunately have some negative observations about this property: no even basic facilities (dishes, hands soap, trash can) - need to go and ask for everything. There cooking is prohibited - so don’t thing about having and preparing your own meal there. Rooms don’t even have a fridge (owner offered us to bring a mini Red Bull fridge by the request - thanks for that!). We even didn’t have a kettle that had to be by the property’s description in booking.com. Another thing - the house is right near to the regional road so the noise from it is significantly high. And finally - the smell (I think it's the smell of smoking) in a house wasn’t the best.

• Reinis (10/5): I would definitely love to return there. - Great location. Host extremely nice person alone worth the reservation. 2 separate bedrooms, balcony, spacious bathroom. It was a bit hot because of lack of air cooler so I would go to sleep naked and cover myself with blanket only during night when room had cooled from outside air.
• Elena (10/5): Excellent accommodation in the amazing region - We stayed at Helmut's house in a family room. The apartment is large, bright, with two separate rooms and a large bathroom. Everywhere is perfectly clean, comfortable beds, a big balcony. There is a separate dressing room, where there is enough space for the things of both children and adults. You can order breakfast separately, but we do not have breakfast in the morning, so we declined. Helmut, the owner of the house, is very caring and responsible. I will start with the fact that he quickly responded to all my requests on the Booking website, and when we arrived, he told us in detail about all the interesting places of this beautiful region, gave us advice on where to go, what to see and provided us with all the necessary information in the form of brochures, maps, etc. Special thanks to him for this advice! Despite the rainy and rather cool weather, we truly enjoyed our three-day vacation. I can only recommend this accommodation to couples and families. Convenient location and private parking allow you to spend a week or two in this hospitable house. Helmut, thank you so much! -----------

• Wenyi (10/5): Exceptional - We had a truly wonderful stay during the Easter holidays. The host went above and beyond to help us throughout our trip. Despite our train being delayed, he kindly waited until late at night to open the door for us. When one of our suitcases was left on the train, he stayed calm and helped us track it down in a very organized and efficient way. The breakfast was also exceptionally delicious and abundant. We are so grateful for his hospitality and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

We were given a space heater and an extra duvet. You don't like the S&W handcuffs. No problem to take them off :-) The breakfast was plentiful. Recommended. Nothing

The host Helmut was amazing, friendly, open hearted and very helpful. The breakfasts he served every day were amazing and very tasty! Highly recommended.
• Helen (9/5): A fantastic base to enjoy Austrian leisure, culture and cuisine. - Very welcoming, conveniently located within walking distance to a small town including small supermarket, restaurants and bars. Helmut was friendly and knowledgeable about local culture and leisure activities available, providing us with numerous leaflets on arrival. He was happy to advise us throughout our stay of places to visit or eat, also rang a restaurant on our behalf to check availability for a table. He speaks German and excellent English too. The room was comfortable, clean and modern yet traditional. Clean towels were supplied but sadly no handwash. The bed was very comfortable, just the right amount of support, I slept well. The property is set back for the main road , some people have commented that they found the road noisy but personally it didn’t disturb myself or my husband, even when the window/patio door was ajar. It was lovely to be waited on by Helmut at breakfast, very traditional cuisine of salamis and cheeses, yogurts, fresh berries and homemade syrups. We found that the property was an excellent base to explore the culture and outdoor leisure of Austria. I have already recommended holidaying here to friends, so Helmut expect more English visitors soon. Little niggles only: I would have preferred woven cotton sheets, had handwash to be provided in the bathroom.
• Jana (10/5): Just perfect! We will come back. - We liked everything. Before we came we read all these excellent reviews about Helmut and were wondering, whether they were true. And they were! Helmut was really the best host. He spoke perfect English and really was trying to help with everything we needed. For example he arranged a fridge and an electric kettle for us, because we needed it to prepare food for our child. Also, he made the best breakfast, everyday with different local cold cuts. What we couldn’t eat, we could take with us for lunch. So everyday we did not have to worry about lunch, because there just was so much really good food. He also tried to entertain our baby with children books and gave us great advices for our trips. We had the family suit and it was perfect. It was spacious and clean. Although during the day it was around 30, the place always cooled down in the evening and the night was pleasant.
• Ram (10/5): Hope to stay there again - It was my second time I stayed in k&k residence. The residence is in a nice valley,surrounded by fields and streams. Very near to a supermarket and gas stations.and not far away from the attractions around. The rooms are large and comfortable. So is the bathroom. The owner,Helmut,invest his energy and time in his guests. He will help to plan your day and to solve any problem you have . By request he will prepare a very special breakfast,based on local ingredients. It is a very special experience to stay at the residence None

Staying at the k&k meant that we had the option of experiencing homemade/locally produced Austrian breakfast each day and with the help of Helmut had access to an encyclopedia of knowledge and discounts on the activities in the surrounding mountain regions we wanted to explore. This was a massive help considering we were new to the area! Everything is to like!
