Guest Reviews
- Family Gyenes (1/5): Jelenlegi állapotában nem alkalmas kiadásra. - The villa in the 1950s must have been beautiful. It is difficult to access, you have to drive uphill 3km on a narrow, dirt road. Although it is relatively close to Rome, as it can be approached and left on a dirt road that takes 15-20 minutes, location is not so good anymore. Francesco was waiting for us at the villa on arrival. We received a key, but we only received a remote control for the main and the second barriers after 2 days, until then we were only able to get in/out with telephone help of the owner. The villa was not ventilated befor, there is no air conditioning, so I was greeted with extremely warm, stale air. It wasn't cleaned thoroughly. The fridge was sticky with dirt, the terraces were not cleaned, the pavement was sticky with spilled drinks. Inside the house, there was cat hair all over the furniture. We put the cat out in vain, it always came back somewhere and everything got cat hair even after we cleaned it, so we couldn't even have breakfast at a table inside the house, only after constant thorough cleaning. The terrace was not cleaned this year, there was no furniture to sit outside. The outdoor furniture was worn out, rusty, unprepossessing, and in need of replacement. The stone around the pool was broken, the pool had not been cleaned. The garden is unkempt, unwatered. The entire villa is in a neglected state. It needs renovation. There was no lighting in one room, cables were hanging uninsulated. The bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned. But they need a major renovation, the joints are rusty. The many years of dirt have already ruined the bathroom. Water came out of the tap with difficulty. The furniture and paintings are of great value, but they need to be maintained. The house has not been renovated and maintained for decades. Although there was theoretically wifi, we could not use it, it did not work. And there is only few places on the top of the mountain, and even there there is minimal mobile internet access. Accommodation in the summer is unbearable without air conditioning. The uploaded pictures are either old or enhanced with AI/Photoshop. We left the accommodation at the first opportunity. For now, we are waiting for the refund to be processed. The booking.
- Jenna (10/5): We had an Absolutely incredible holiday in such an incredible villa we can’t wait to return. - The fact that we could bring our dog was a plus, he could be free and we didn’t have to worry about him getting lost or going missing as it’s all in closed . He had free run of the place and he loved it. We as a family loved how quiet and peaceful the villa was, we had complete privacy and our kids could free safe and comfortable. The view wow the view was amazing. The house is incredible and has such a lovely feel about it we felt at home, And Francesco well he was an absolute pleasure and a gentleman he couldn’t do enough for our family. The history of the villa is amazing if you ask Francesco will be happy to tell you about it. Absolutely nothing
- Philippa (9/5): Beautiful, spacious and charming house in a gorgeous rural location just outside Rome. - Beautiful house in traditional Italian style. Lots of space and different rooms to enjoy. It’s a very charming place. I could imagine it being very grand indeed in its hay day. The views of Rome are beautiful and the setting is secluded and peaceful. Francesco was amazing - spoke perfect English and was so helpful and friendly. Great little coffee machine in the kitchen too!
- Manojan (9/5): Great view and great host. You will definitely need a 4x4 to get to the place. -
- Mikołaj (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful view of Rome!! Francesco very kind and very helpful. He helps with everything ;-)
