- Zarki (10/5): One of my mos memorable trips ever! - Loved all the volunteers and the activity leaders Robert and Erjon! The place was clean and the beds with the curtains gave a nice feeling of privacy. Most of all I loved the tours they offered and the dinner by shkodra lake was one of the nicest things I have eaten on this trip. The location is perfect, a 4 minute walk from the city center and the place was surrounded by small shops for everyday stuff. I am so happy I did this trip and got to know so many beautiful people! - Marilene (9/5): Superb - Well located. The rooms are good and you can have some privacy. Clean and comfortable. Fantastic employees, from the girls at the reception to the guide who took us on the tour. incredible excursions. Activities every night promoting conviviality between guests.
- Kayla (9/5): Great place but make sure you’re aware you might not get the tour you want as they’re not every day. - Super social vibe, great common spaces and good bed privacy too. Great place to stay. It wasn’t very clear that every day you only do one tour, which is decided by votes, so you need to make sure you have multiple nights in case due to the voting you don’t get to do the tour you wanted. For example I never got to do the Theth hike which was the whole reason I went. The tours also leave early so whatever day you arrive you’ll probably miss them that day so you really need multiple days. The tours are also quite expensive, 60 euro for the Shala river trip yet it was pretty much just a transfer and one stop for a swim - personally not worth 60 euros at all.

- Maeve (10/5): Welcoming and social hostel - The absolute best social vibe at the hostel - everyone was so friendly and the volunteers actually made an effort to get everyone involved. If felt like a community, and we would have loved to extend our time here if our trip allowed. Definitely recommend the day tours as they really are worth it, and the location is just perfect for more self-paced days in the town. The bathrooms could have had hooks on the doors, and some of the rooms are significantly smaller than others, but we stayed for four nights and it was perfectly manageable.

- Cypers (10/5): Exceptional - The best hostel i have been to, the 2 owners are the coolest dudes. You can see the love that they put in the hostel. Its a very well equiped hostel with good showers, a good kitchen and nice beds. There is also a lovely outside chill area where everybody just hangs out en plays games. They organise day tours to a couple different spots. The drive you there with vans and they make everything so easy for you whils't also being very fun. I only got good things to say about the hostel and the 2 owners robert and aryan.

- David (7/5): Good - Great location, very central, right next to the bus station. Staff was hospitable and friendly. A dorm room is a great price at €10/night during low season, but they charge €1 to use card, which is an extra 10% fee (normal card fees are 2-3%). I’ve used cards in all other hostels in Albania, and they never charged €1 (they just charged the value). Their bus price list is also outdated; they told me €17 to Kotor, but it’s actually €20 in morning and €25 for afternoon bus. So I had to scramble to find extra cash. These may be small but important details if they want to improve their traveler experience as tourism continues to grow.
- Edgar (10/5): Exceptional - 1They all speak English and Italian, 2 the hostel is near by everything 3 despite some people leave everything dirty every day the woman working there will clean everything PROPERLY!!!! 4 the curtain really makes all the difference!!!! You just close it and you will have all your privacy... 5 for a few euros they will arrange a bus to Tirana or to the airport, they will call for you for free. Price/ service this hostel is probably the best that you can get in Albania. Ps: the kitchen has all the tools you need. after 10 days there is nothing bad
- Gaëtane (10/5): Exceptional - I stayed there as a solo traveller, and found the hostel really welcoming also thanks to the team working there. I had a change of plan during my travel and they were really helpful, caring about the safety and gave advice about what to do and what to see around there. Regarding the room, the beds have curtains that gave the intimacy needed. I did not use the kitchen and can't say anything about it except that it looked well equipped. I also so that they were games in the living room for residents to use! The shower might just need a little shelf to put our things away from the water.

- Nurlan (8/5): Nice place to stay again - It was nice one. The bed has curtain, plugin, light. The room has locker, big enough and even shelf to pack the bag. Location was very good, as well as the staff. Bathroom sinks are modern. Had a wall hair dryer. Had a work desk in common area room, sofas. The shower was cold. In summer it's not an issue. It had one shower in every floor. Checkout time is somewhat earlier. For such not a big, busy hostel it's very early.
- Daniel (10/5): Perfect hostel - 10/10 option, even more considering the price. Beds are super comfortable and with curtains. The common places are insane, the kitchen is big, clean, perfect equipment. Also you have an outside zone where you can chill with the other guests. The vibe was amazing, everybody super cool, and in the center of the city. Owner or manager is very nice. Big lockers in the room. The very best place in Shkoder. The bathrooms could be a little bit cleaner, the floor was wet but appart from that is one of the best hostels I've ever been and i've been in more than 40. Thanks so much!

- Jose (8/5): Very good - I believe Booking.com stated that the breakfast was included. But the Hostel guys told me it wasn't and I got a refund and a bonus: free towel. Good people both customers and the hostel crew. The family little kitten knows how to make herself loved and cuddled :) The option of planning day trip excursions to the Albanian Alps :) Ample kitchen and plenty of facilities and room. Good size dorms and beds with curtains. Good new mattresses too. A bit small shower cubicle, Likely to flood if the drain does not take fast enough the water away.

Owners are very knowledgeable and helpful and volunteers are super friendly and welcoming. Day trips are well organised and great value. Would recommend this hostel to anyone!

- Jacob (10/5): Lovely place to stay! - Volunteers were lovely, toilets on each floor (with a water-jet), comfy beds, indoor and outdoor lounge (which came in handy, as it was pouring). Very chilled vibes, but they had no issues with visitors being boisterous, playing drinking games, etc. so, it was a great balance. Their kitten was very sociable and cuddly :) Heavy rain meant I couldn't explore Shkoder at all, so I can't judge the location. Most of the guests were signing up for the day tours, which sounded fun! Wish I was there for longer.

There is an indoor and outdoor area with sofas where you can sit and chill and socialise. Bikes available to rent which is a nice touch . Kitchen with lots of utensils and cooking equipment I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Shkoder and I stayed an extra night and would visit again. There was only one shower to service two rooms with 6 guests in each.

I ended up extending my reservation and Robert went over and beyond creating a great experience throughout my stay. Will definitely be back!

- Samantha (8/5): Very nice hostel in Shkoder - The staff is amazing ! Ready to help and recommend you the best tours. They offer transportation for those who wish to do the hike in the North and great tours in the canyon (not to miss !!) we had a lot of fun. Lack of options for breakfast.
- Alinia (9/5): Superb - Great social hostel, bike rental for 5€ a day, laundry for 3€, baggage storage for 2€ a night (if you are leaving the hostel for a hike) many day trips offered Good kitchen facilities dorms equipped with curtains, reading lights, plug sockets, air con, lockers multiple toilets and 1 shower per floor excellent location, right near the bus centre and a few minutes from the main strip unfortunately my day tour was cancelled and the staff did not tell me :( I did get a full refund the showers are a little small washing machines are quite old and I had to set my clothes to drain multiple times. Not all staff are aware of how to use the washing machines either perhaps they can ensure everyone is trained to make laundry services smoother for guests?

- Arthur (9/5): A solid option with a social feel - Cute kitten Good social areas both indoors and outdoors I liked the curtains on the beds and lockers in the rings The Shkodra Canyon trip that they organised was great Pillows were a bit on the big side and I ended up with a stiff neck Also it was a bit annoying to have to take my shoes off every time I went inside (it’s split over three levels and joined by an outdoor staircase)
- Shannon (9/5): Albania is beautiful, Skhoder hostel provides the perfect base to explore. - The highlight of the trip was the day tour to the Albanian Alps offered through the hostel. Perfect small group tour, full of adventure and seeing the country through the eyes of a local. Overall the hostel was very clean and welcoming with helpful staff. Could not book in advance for the tours, but this was understandable.
