- Caroline (7/5): - Un appartement spacieux, au calme et très bien situé dans Manhattan à côté de time square, de la high line. Manque de vaisselle pour 2 et une seule lumière qui marchait car beaucoup de prise ne fonctionnait pas.

He was happy to help the quests . Confusing address. THE Building is btw 8th and 9th ave. The number of the building is the same as a building btw 6th and 7th ave. There were no toiletries provided by the host like soap, shampoo, conditioner and the towels were thin .

- Prieto Enriquez (9/5): La ubicación de este alojamiento es ideal - Todo súper limpio, la ubicación a 2 cuadras de la estación fue realmente lo mejor. La relación precio calidad está garantizada. No nos dieron muchas facilidades para guardar el equipaje Nisiquiera pagando adicionales, nuestro vuelo salía casi 11:00pm. Por suerte pudimos encontrar otro lugar para guardarlo en el alojamiento de mi hermana pagando un cargo extra.

- Ina (8/5): Zentrales Guest House mit gutem Preis- Leistungsverhältnis - Das Guest House ist sehr zentral gelegen, Subway und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten fußläufig erreichbar (Vessel, Times Square, Macy's..). Zum Einchecken muss man anrufen und bekommt von einem Mitarbeiter den Schlüssel. Bettwäsche ist nicht inklusive. Der Preis ist aber für ein Apartment mit Küche mitten in Manhattan wirklich unschlagbar. Das Zimmer war im 4. Stock, es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl. Es war sehr heiß im Zimmer, der gelieferte Ventilator brachte wenig Abkühlung. Prinzipiell war das Zimmer zum schönen Hinterhof ruhig, es lag aber direkt neben der Gemeinschaftstoilette und man hörte die Spülung etc.

La finestra bloccata. Entra il rumore della strada a causa di un sistema di condizionamento aggiunto che lascia la finestra mezza aperta. E allo stesso tempo non permette di ricambiare l’aria nonostante nella stanza ci sia la cucina e quindi avresti piacere a non dormire con gli odori del pasto.

- Multiplumes (8/5): Une semaine de découverte de New York, avec des temps de travail sur mon ordinateur dans la chambre. - La localisation est parfaite, à quelques pas de Penn Station. Accès facile, on récupère les clés dans une boîte à clé si on arrive tard. L'équipe qui s'occupe des logements est juste formidable. Ils m'ont répondu à minuit parce que la porte de ma chambre ne fermait pas à clé. Ils ont essayé de m'aider, sans succès. Dès le lendemain, ils sont intervenus pour changer la serrure. Vraiment top. Ma chambre (la 9) était extrêmement sombre. La seule fenêtre donnait à l'intérieur d'une espèce de "cheminée" (voulue comme un puits de lumière, sans doute). la cheminée devait faire maximum 1 mètre carré, et le ciel était plusieurs étages au-dessus. Autrement dit, impossible de savoir s'il faisait jour ou nuit. Je devais allumer les lumières en permanence. Toutefois, vue la localisation, c'est un désagrément qu'on oublie, au vu de l'excellent rapport qualité prix.

- Mireille (7/5): “You get what you pay for.” - “You get what you pay for.” And I did. Let me start with the positives. Location: Absolutely perfect. Right in the heart of the city. Walking distance to Hudson Yards, Herald Square, Chelsea Market, and Greenwich Village. This is truly what you’re paying for — unbeatable access to some of the best spots in NYC. The “concierge”: Jimmy was definitely a highlight. Since there’s no elevator in the building, he kindly helped me carry all four (!) of my suitcases upstairs and assisted with fixing the internet connection issues I experienced. He’s polite, warm, and kept the place reasonably clean. Communication: Was easy and smooth. The room: A decent size, equipped with a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker — which was convenient. I personally brought my own bedsheets, pillowcase, towels, and disinfecting wipes (just a personal preference). The room has a tiny window facing the alley; I wouldn’t recommend opening it, as there’s no screen — and you probably don’t want any unexpected “Ratatouille” visitors 🐭. Shared bathroom: The toilet and shower are separate and located in the corridor. Both were cleaner than I expected. Still, I’d suggest bringing flip-flops and disinfecting wipes for extra peace of mind. Overall, if location is your top priority and you’re realistic about budget accommodations, this place does the job. Given the high turnover, a small facelift would go a long way, even simple upgrades like installing window screens and adding mirrors to the rooms would make a noticeable difference.

- Xabilo (8/5): Excelente ubicación - Excelente ubicación a 5 minutos de Penn Station (metro y Long Island Rail Road para ir a JFK) y del Madison Square Garden. Hay muchisimos restaurantes y cafés alrededor. Está en una calle (y barrio) muy tranquila en la que se puede caminar sin problemas incluso de noche. Las habitaciones son comodas y espaciosas. Una de las noches hubo alguien que no paró de gritar en los pasillos, pero entiendo que fue un hecho puntual

Bon rapport qualité prix (580 en basse saison). Ce n’était pas propre, il y avait de la poussière sous les meubles et le lit, le sol de la salle de bain et notamment le bac de douche n’étaient pas propres. Une souris nous a également rendu visite le dernier soir … Nous également eu une panne de chauffage lors de la seconde nuit, mais le problème a été pris en compte dès le lendemain par les équipes.

La cortina de baño estaba extremadamente sucia y llena de hongos. Digo, cambiar la cortina no debe ser un costo muy elevado. Háganlo, en serio. Todo es demasiado viejo. Se escucha todos los pasos y caminos por las escaleras. Dificultaba el dormir por todo el ruido involuntario que hacía las demás personas. La habitación tenía una pequeña nevera y un microondas. La nevera hacía demasiado ruido. Opté por desconectarla. Hubo uno de los días que no me salió agua caliente de la ducha No suelo ser una persona complicada ni quejona. Pero esto fue demasiado! Hay que tener mucho estomago para quedarse más de una noche.

El entorno es seguro y es facil de llegar. En mi caso, la habitación se encontraba poco aseada. Si te vas al detalle puedes observar restos de migajas y cabellos en el baño. La cama no era muy cómoda, el colchón tenia sus años ya de uso. La habitación tenia una vista hacia el patio, pese a que era una habitación con baño privado y por tanto mas cara.

The air conditioning was very nice and worked well and the staff were very responsive and helpful. The house is dated and it shows.. shared bathroom in the hall and half of the outlets didn’t work. The towels we received also had stains on them, which was fine for us as we were only there for the evening.

- Stefanie (5/5): Overall fantastic place to stay, however internet must be fixed asap. - The room was a great size, very clean and included everything I needed for a fantastic stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the air conditioning made it pleasant in the 30 degree heat. The internet connection in my room was terrible. For most of my stay the internet did not work. I communicated this with the property owner, but it was never fixed for the duration of my stay. This was incredibly disappointing as I would NEVER book a room without internet. It's an ESSENTIAL.

- Maite (4/5): - La ubicacion es muy conveniente Reservé una habitación por unas horas entre mi llegada a NYC en avión y mi salida en tren a la mañana siguiente. Busqué algo barato y cerca de la estación, sin demasiadas expectativas. La ubicación es muy buena, en pleno centro de Manhattan, y la habitación era tal como se mostraba en Booking, aunque no estaba muy limpia. Aun así, me sorprendió pagar casi 120 dólares por un lugar que se parece más a una pensión que a un hospedaje. No había jabón ni agua en la habitación, y el edificio no tiene ascensor, por lo que tuve que subir sola hasta un cuarto piso por escaleras, cargando valijas grandes. Lo que más me molesta es la relación calidad-precio: si voy a quedarme en un lugar tan sencillo, espero pagar bastante menos.
- Stephen (8/5): Decent budget accommodation that might be hit & miss - Decent budget offering in a sea of astoundingly overpriced offerings. No need to worry about a 'resort fee' here. Rooms are hit and miss, some spacious and quiet, other cramped and desolate feeling. Staff are responsive to any issues which arise and do their best to resolve them. It is a no-frills option and people should be ready for creaky stairs, aging infrastructure, some rooms with no view from a window, and mainly unpredictable other lodgers. I was unlucky enough to have encountered a middle-of-the-night violent domestic argument which eventually police had to settle. It's not that only this kind of crowd is attracted to the place but they can be expected to be here as longer term tennants. The shared shower is also tiny and no frills, same with WC but that comes with the territory.
- Léanne (1/5): Disastrous - The geographic situation 1. The heater was turning off several times during the day and the night, that would wake me up freezing in the middle of EVERY night. This is unacceptable in the middle of winter to turn off the heater and let the room getting that cold! I got really sick. I wrote to them because I thought first that it was broken, and here is there answer: «Please note that the heater in the building is a centralized system, so it is controlled automatically by the building management. It may turn on and off at intervals to maintain the set temperature, which is why it might seem like it stops working and then starts again after a while. The button in the room does not manually control the heat output.» I then asked them if it was possible to just lower the temperature instead of turning it off, and here is there answer: «We will inform our team member.» and nothing changed, I think they clearly didn't care at all... 2. The fridge smelled like rot, this is absolutely filthy! 3. The wifi didn't work well, it stopped working after about 10 minutes of using. To resume, I didn’t have high expectations for a guest house, however a basic standard of health and hygiene is still crucial.

Les toilettes et les douches communes étaient, pour ma part, propres. Il manque quelques équipements : éponge, savon, papier toilette, sopalin… Et attention à ne pas avoir de valises trop lourdes ou de problèmes de dos : l’appartement est au 3ᵉ étage… Mais je recommande, surtout pour les plus jeunes.

Hyllyjen pinnat olivat myös likaiset ja pölyiset. Peittoa piti pyytää erikseen (joulukuussa). Kylpypyyhkeitä ei vaihdettu kertaakaan viikon matkan aikana. Käsipyyhkeitä ei ollut ollenkaan.

- Lior (5/5): It’s a budget accommodation in Midtown. There are pluses, and there are minuses to that. - Well, you get what you pay for, you know. It was nice to have a giant refrigerator, and while the noise on the first floor was not great, it was convenient to not have to lug my suitcase up a bunch of stairs since I was on the first floor. I didn’t have the option to choose if I wanted the first floor window facing the street or if I wanted a different location. If I’ve been given the option to be anywhere else, I would’ve probably chosen anywhere else in the building. I would appreciate it if I’m given the option of first floor facing the street with windows that certainly don’t block sound, or anywhere else in the building. I would’ve taken anywhere else in the building. So next time give someone the option to choose where they’re going to be, because I wasn’t given an option. Also, it was cold and nobody effectively did something about it.
- Corinne (5/5): Top Lage, schmuddelige Unterkunft. - Die Lage ist super. Auch die Grösse des Zimmers ist gut. Es hängt die ganze Zeit ein merkwürdiger Duft im Raum, lüften kann man nicht. Das Fenster ist voller Staub und Schimmel. Ich bekam erst nur einen Bettüberwurf als Decke, auf Nachfrage bekam ich ein Duvet ohne Duvetanzug (zum Glück war noch jemand da, den ich fragen konnte). Die Kissen sind steinhart. Die Dusche und das WC sind renovationsbedürftig. Beim Einchecken hatte ich Glück, dass die Postbotin vor dem Haus war und anrufen konnte. Trotz vorgängiger Meldung hiess es, ich müsse mich telefonisch melden. Ich hatte aber kein Abo zum Telefonieren. In der Nacht ist der Verkehr sehr laut.

- Suyash (3/5): It’s only the location which is good and it is an old property which I do not recommend to any anyone - Centrally located Shared toilet and bathroom and tables/chairs were partly damaged. There were 2 days tissue paper were not provided in the toilet causing hygiene issues and inconveniences. The AC is very old just beside the bed and making terrible noises.

Otherwise, no complaints - it's a good deal in a city where there aren't many to be had Shower was pretty rank. A proper clean would help but really, a little renovation would make a big difference

- נטע (1/5): Stay away! - Just do yourself a favor and don't book a room at this place. I booked a room that looked nice and cozy in the pictures and in reality I got a dungeon. A completely dark room, a window that couldn't be opened and a wall in front of it. Of course I asked to change or even upgrade for a fee and they didn't agree. In addition to that there was no internet. The air conditioner was very noisy and didn't work and only caused headaches. They wouldn't cancel my reservation or part of it. I had to leave after 2 nights because it was impossible to sleep there. Just horrible. A place full of scammers!

- Colin (7/5): very interesting to experience the energy and gain a sense of the economic strength of New York City - The location was particularly useful, there being a short trip on the subway to most of Manhattan, and a good choise of shops, restaurants and cafes within walking distance The only ventilation was a couple of plastic sliders about 6" x 10" in the windows, which was just about adequate, but mosquito netting would have been good.
