Ranking is a bit overrated for me as frankly, the staff was ok but wasn’t really super friendly either . Facilities are ok and good ratio price quality ok for a couple of nights , cleaning could improved a bit .

• Marie (9/5): Lovely stay - The hostel is wonderful, lovely view and yummy breakfast. The beds were very confortable and the bathrooms very clean. I was very happy this place accept card payment since it's hard to find in Albania. Only note: the staff are early risers and talk very loudly in the morning. If you get up early you won't mind but if you'd like to sleep in it might be difficult.

• Thibaut (9/5): - The warm, familylike atmosphere and the friendliness of the hosts really stood out. It felt more like a small hotel than a hostel. The place was always clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was a good level of privacy. The highlight was definitely the beautiful mountain view from the terrace and rooftop. perfect for relaxing in the morning or evening. The location is also excellent, right in the center and within walking distance of everything. Nothing major to mention. I stayed during a quieter period, so I can’t fully judge how it is during peak season, it might be busier then.

• Giulia (10/5): - The Family who runs the hostel is very cute and shared a unique atmosphere which made me feel at home. It was the nicest spot to stay in Albania. There was a nice spot inside and outside to just read and relax. The view is beautiful and they have a lovely dog who loves getting cuddles. Ich wäre gerne länger geblieben.

• MURAKAMI (10/5): 一人旅に素晴らしいホステル！！！ - スタッフさんが丁寧に対応してくれました。クレジットカードでの支払いができました。部屋（ドミトリー）は綺麗で、カーテンが付いており、プライバシーが確保できます。トイレとシャワー室が別々で、綺麗です。ジロカストラ城から450m程の場所にあり、観光に行くのに立地が良いです。今回は利用していませんが、別途料金を支払うことで、朝食が食べれます。 20時頃にホステルに向かいました。道中は人通りがほぼなく、街灯も明るくはないため、早めにチェックインをした方が良いと感じました。Wi-Fiが弱めで、ネットが途切れることがありました。シャワー室内に使用済か不明のバスタオルがあったのは、気になりました。良くない訳ではありませんが、感じたことをコメントしました。
• KAC68 (8/5): A budget but not the best way to see Gjirokaster - Located between old and new town so convenient for history and shops. Bed was quite comfy. Good linen. Flooded showers with poor drainage. Dorm balcony has a screen pulled down. Roof top is nice but dirty and neglected. When I arrived there was food allover the balcony floor bins full for two days. Toilet paper not restocked. It did get better after asking however. The kitchen although on offer as others have noted is used by the family primarily so would be difficult to use to self cater. Cutlery and dishes access is easy. No real friends vibe I guess lol Plug sockets over the beds are loose fitting and problematic.n

• Hannah Heike (9/5): Ein familiäres Wohlfühlhostel für Alleinreisende - Die Familie, welche das Hostel führt ist sehr sympathisch und aufmerksam. Als ich zur Hostel Mama meinte, das ich nicht gut geschlafen hätte, weil es im vollen 8 Bett Zimmer zu laut war, bekam ich für eine Nacht das andere Zimmer, in dem es ruhiger war und das Bett unten. Die Hostel Oma brachte mir Kuchen. Der freundliche Familienanschluss mit kleinem Hund im gemütlichen Wohnzimmer hat mir, als Alleinreisende, sehr gut getan. Der junge Volunteer war / ist sehr respektvoll und aufmerksam. Heißes Wasser ist an der Bar immer abzapfbar und der Ausblick ist wunderschön. Ich habe sehr bereut nach zwei Tagen in eine andere Unterkunft gegangen zu sein… Kleine Vögel in kleinen Käfigen zu halten, ist nicht Tierfreundlich. Nicht jede Tradition ist eine gute Tradition. Vögel wollen frei sein und fliegen. Wenigstens eine große Voliere sollten sie haben. Die Terrasse auf dem Dach und die Hinweis - Zettel sollten mal wieder schön gemacht werden.

El desayuno es ríquisimo y las camas muy comfortables, con cortinas lo cual siempre es un plus. La familia es muy hospitaliria y amable. Recomendadísimo!

C’est plutôt une cuisine familiale. Pas de place dans le frigo, pas possible de cuisiner car énormément de choses qui traînent par-ci, par-là. Je vous conseille plutôt d’aller manger à l’extérieur ou d’emporter un repas facile à mettre au micro-ondes.

• Kerrin (10/5): Gem in Gjirokaster. - Great hostel in a good location. It's uphill- but everywhere in the old town is uphill. Their location is particularly good as it's only another 10 minute walk to the castle. They have a few terraces with outstanding views & great places to hang out. The dorms are comfortable, with lockers, a/c, privacy curtains, a light & a little shelf. The bathroom was clean & plenty of hot water. Breakfast is good. Lovely hospitality from the family, too. I didn't cook in the kitchen, but it is used by the family, so be aware that it's not just a hostel kitchen. Wasn't a problem for me.

• Aisling (7/5): Hostel close to the main attractions in Gjirokaster - Close proximity to the old town centre, nice terrace in friends hostel with comfy beds. Hosts were accommodating. One of our rooms was double booked despite messaging to confirm. We were accommodated in a nearby guesthouse. The location is difficult to drive in, but there was free parking a 5 minute walk from the hostel - directed to after arrival.

The staff were so lovely when I had food poisoning, they gave me free bread as I couldn’t stomach a full breakfast and then took me to the pharmacy to get medications! También no es recomendable para una persona que tiene dificultades para subir las escaleras medievales que son altas. Hay muchos turistas entonces muchos movimientos que pueden cansar a un cierto tipo de turistas.
