• Vera (6/5): - Симпатичный номер. Есть кухня, но нет ни одного чайного пакетика, кофе, фужеров и штопора. Душ совмещён с туалетом и один на этаж, приходится ждать своей очереди. В районе гостиницы идёт активная стройка и грязно, часть тротуара отсутствует.

• Jovana (10/5): Cosy Charming Place - I had a wonderful stay and would happily return. From the very beginning, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They contacted me before arrival to check my timing, and because my room was ready early, they allowed me to check in before the official time, which meant so much after traveling overnight with no sleep. Being able to rest for a few hours before exploring the city honestly saved my first day and made a huge difference. The hotel itself was lovely — a very cute boutique property with charming decor, a comfortable bed, spotless room, and a bathroom with all necessary amenities. Everything worked well and I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. I also appreciated the large shared kitchen and fridge outside the room, which was very convenient for keeping snacks and drinks. Although I spent most of my time out exploring, whenever I was at the hotel I genuinely enjoyed being there. The location worked very well for me too. One thing future guests may want to keep in mind is that the hotel is currently surrounded by construction, so there can be considerable daytime noise. This wasn’t a major issue for me, as I was usually out during the day and I personally can sleep through noise, but for anyone planning to work from the room or rest in quiet during daytime, it may be worth considering. Wi-Fi was occasionally a bit on and off, though it worked. None of this was really the hotel’s fault, and it didn’t prevent me from enjoying my stay, but it may be helpful for other travelers to know. Overall, a very warm, comfortable and memorable stay with genuinely helpful staff — highly recommended.
• Jelena (10/5): A pleasant surprise! - I don't usually write reviews but since I was a little unsure about whether to book this hotel I have to share my experience with others who are in doubt. We (a couple) stayed in a room with a balcony on the 3th floor. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, which is a bit difficult when you have luggage to carry, otherwise not a problem. But the owner, who is a really nice man, helped us with our luggage. The room, in my opinion, looks even better in person than in the pictures. It was a decent size and everything was clean, and I mean spotlessly clean! Nice, clean linens, towels, comfortable bed, closet with extra soaps, shampoos and slippers. The view from the balcony wasn't the best, it overlooks Arshakunyats Avenue, but you can learn a lot about traffic in Yerevan while drinking your morning coffee and maybe think twice before renting a car. My biggest doubt was the bathroom, which is private, but not connected to the room. It is a bit unusual, but it turned out that wasn't a big problem after all. Bathroom was big and also very, very clean. Shower doesn't have a curtain, so you should be a little careful how you use it. Hotel doesn't offer breakfast, but there is a small kitchen on the 2nd floor with a kettle and microwave, for tea, coffee or to cool your drinks in the fridge. Across the street you have a Food court and a large Supermarket (open 24h) which is very convenient. Location is very good. 20 min. walk to St. Gregory's Cathedral, 30 min. to Republic Square and English Park. Although Arshakunyats Avenue is a really busy street and there are some construction sites nearby, our room was very quiet and after a long day of sightseeing we were able to really get a good night rest. The owner of the hotel is very kind and pleasant man, you can tell him if you need clean towels or have any other problems. We had a late check-in and were able to leave our luggage in the hotel after check-out. Our visit was in April, there weren't many guest at this time, it might be different when hotel is fully booked, but for us everything was perfect! 10/10 Shirbakyan hotel made our stay in Yerevan even better and we'll come again for sure!

Azt gondolom hogy aki valóban fel szeretné fedezni Jerevánt és a helyieket annak itt a helye. Beszélgetni a szomszédokkal felejthetetlen élmény. Aki azonban az ajtón belép garantáltan elégedett lesz.

• Aleksei (10/5): We would definitely recommend - Very classy boutique furniture and the whole hotel atmosphere. From the first minutes you can notice that the host family has put a lot of soul into its creation and maintenance. We took two rooms with a shared bathroom, the conditions were very comfortable. Although there are different options available, so you can always choose required level of comfort. Location is also very nice. 15-20 minutes walk from the very center of the city. The SAS foodcourt is across the street, right in front of the hotel. So you can be sure that you will never go hungry;) Although there is a fairly big road nearby, the windows are remarkably high quality, so the room is absolutely quiet. Everything is perfectly fine, the only small improvement idea is it to add some bedside light.

Shirbakyan Hotel has given me an excellent customer service during my stay there. The room was huge and spacious. The kitchen and washroom though shared was always clean and tidy. And above all, the staffs (owners) was really warmth and accommodating. They will really try to give all their customer needs the best they can. • Josh (6/5): Nice if it’s not hot and you don’t mind distance to major attractions - The hostel is very new, looks great, is very clean, and Hmayek and his parents are good people who have invested a great deal into the place, but are very new to meeting the needs of western tourists (but may be more suited to Russian and Georgian visitors?). I have no doubt they will learn. There is a lot of good things about this hostel, but I cannot recommend room 302 in summer: since it faces the sun all day, the room is as hot and sometimes hotter than the air temperature (22-38•C or 70-100*F). Until air conditioning arrives, a shade or some sort of sun block might provide some relief (the fan helps but blows hot air). You can open the window but there’s a major road and construction site very close by; both noisy. Also, Google maps shows the place 10 mins closer to Republic Square than it actually is (use Booking.com’s link for directions as it’s accurate), so it’s actually a 20-25 min walk to Rep Square and a 45mins walk to the Cascades, which is where you will want to go. Unfortunately, this hostel provides zero information on buses, trains (there’s a metro 10mins away that takes you near to the Cascades), the city’s many electric scooters (Yerevan Ride is good) or ride share (Yandex is cheap and good). For me there was a series of small issues (too many to list all): besides the oppressive heat and distance to attractions, I was told I could buy a SIM card at the supermarket across the road, when I couldn’t; I asked for a coffee, and through a chaotic series of communications I was ultimately given ‘instant coffee’ that was actually ground coffee (lots of grains in the cup); no milk available for tea or coffee; a huge breakfast of food that was more like lunch, and which almost no one ate (granted I am not from this region, but the breakfast was a variety of salads, no toast with spreads or fruit with yogurt, until I asked for it).
• Severin (8/5): A lovely family-owned guesthouse - The family owning this place is fantastic, sweat, helpful, willing to share about life in Armenia and abroad. Rooms and beds are large and comfortable. Breakfast will feed you for two days (fresh salad, eggs, bread, aubergine salad, cheese, yogourt, kinkalis, tea/ coffee... Rooms need to be equiped with fans/ aircon as summer in Erevan is very hot and it is difficult to sleep with no air stream.
