I stayed in one of the private rooms, which was very good value for money. Very clean and cozy. The noise insulation is not optimal, but this is the case through Patagonia and has to do with the building standards. If you’re a light sleeper, bring some earplugs.

• Mariana (10/5): - Definitivamente la atención de Eugenio fue supremamente amable, sin él no podriamos haber logrado en el poco tiempo que teníamos visitar al Perito Moreno que era nuestro objetivo, nos contactó con la agencia de turismo, nos ayudó en la consulta de tiquetes de regreso, en todo ! Además las instalaciones son muy lindas tiene un ambiente super lindo y tranquilo, y ya que no alcanzabas a desayunar por nuestro poco tiempo nos permitieron empacar el desayuno para llevar. Realmente super recomendado! Nada me disgustó, si volviera al Calafate seguro me quedaría aquí, lugar lindo, cómodo y con muy buena atención.

All in all really excellent hostel! At the time we were there, there were a lot of family members and/or staff constantly in the shared spaces. Though they were friendly, their constant presence made us feel a bit watched, which makes it a 9/10 instead of a 10/10.

A equipe que administra o local está bem preparada e disposta a ajudar com qualquer necessidade. É o tipo de lugar, que torna a viagem ainda mais interessante devido a tribo de pessoas que frequenta, só encontramos pessoas legais e de diversas partes do mundo. O Café da manhã é simples mas tem tudo que necessita para começar bem o dia. Os quartos são quentinhos, o chuveiro é muito bom. De forma geral, tivemos uma excelente estadia. O único ponto a observar, não é um problema dos anfitrões que administram o hostel, mas dos próprios clientes: a cozinha compartilhada está muito bem equipada para realizar qualquer tipo de refeição, porém, os utensílios não são muito limpos, mas novamente, reforço que isso não é culpa da administração, mas sim das pessoas que se hospedam, utilizam e não colaboram neste ponto.

Nos aconsejaron muy bien y con mucha paciencia sobre lo que podíamos hacer. La litera de la primera noche se movía mucho pero al día sigue ya estaban poniendo remedio.

Camera deliziosa che affaccia su un bellissimo giardino pieno di fiori e comodi spazi in comune. Superlativa l’assistenza all’arrivo con link a precisa ed utile guida di El Calafate e tantissime altre informazioni e spiegazioni fornite dal bravissimo Eugenio. Buona la colazione con il pane fatto in casa. L’unica cosa non perfetta non dipende dai gestori dell’ostello: purtroppo non tutti gli ospiti lasciano pulito e ordinato quello che utilizzano in cucina/sala colazione…
• Chamorro (9/5): Hogareña - Desde un principio se contactaron conmigo incluso antes de llegar al hostel, súper organizados, atentos y serviciales. Cuando llegué me regalaron un mapa con una explicación de los lugares a los que yo quería ir y los contactos con las agencias + recomendaciones de absolutamente todo. Las habitaciones eran muy cómodas y se sentía todo como si estuvieses en tu casa. Mucha tranquilidad, música buena de fondo y la cocina equipada. La buena onda de los chicos creo que es lo que más destaca y hace que sea una estadía preciosa.

Also they provide simple breakfast which is useful before a long day. Eugene was very helpful and gave a lot of tips. There was a misunderstanding between me and the girl at the reception who only spoke Spanish. I arrived in the morning before check-in time and asked if it was possible to fill out the form and get the key in advance without entering the room because I knew I would be back at night after a long tour and I was afraid of arriving past the latest check-in time of 9 pm.I was a little nervous about going on a tour in the next half hour and the girl thought I was angry with her even though an Argentinian guy was translating for me. After a few minutes her manager called me and was angry with me for not respecting her and the rules of the place and that check-in only starts at 2 and that I had to come back by 9pm to register because it was too early. I apologized 3 times but I felt uncomfortable.In the evening, there was an English-speaking receptionist who apologized and wanted to give me a discount. I expressed mutual regret due to a cultural gap and insisted on paying full price.
