Guest Reviews
- SEYED (1/5): Never recommended. - Nothing to Like!!!! Very impolite staffs. Even I had to call Police for their behaviour.

- Felina (10/5): - Friendly staff, great location, easy and flexible check-in, the price is very reasonable. The kitchen was well equipped. It's a good place to meet other travellers and has a welcoming atmosphere. The room felt a bit tight but apart from that everything was great.

- Tereza (8/5): Very cute centric hostel! - It’s a cute small hostel with an excellent location! It’s just around 200 meters from Galata Tower in the heart of Istanbul. The price I paid for the 4-bed female only dorm with a private bathroom and shower (hot) was very reasonable! The bed in the dorm was super comfortable, the room had a good heating system and everything was very clean. In winter I felt like there is no common area apart from two desks at the reception and the kitchen, it was very cold on the outside terrace, must be better during summer definitely. The guy at the reception was not welcoming at all. He was obviously bothered by someone even coming in.
- pascal (9/5): Au top pour petit budget - L emplacement..l ambiance..la tranquillité..sanitaires ok
Special dédicace a hasan...c est ici que je reviendrai Un petit effort sur le ménage des chambres

- Anuj (5/5): Nice place but check for bed bugs in your room/bed - Great location away from the super touristy spot. Would recommend going up towards Taksim Square and taking a ferry to the Asian side. Right below Galata tower you can see it from the balcony. Amazing sunset views Room-3 had bed bugs when I was staying there. All of the roommates got bitten by bugs, one person even showed a video to the receptionist of the bugs but the receptionist offered no alternative bed or compensation.
The guest checked out and the bed was offered to another guest the next day so they are not even cleaning the beds with bugs. Obviously this won’t be for all the rooms but be careful.
- SOYEON (8/5): - This hostel contains every beauty of staying in a hostel tbh. It's true the room is old, but I definitely could feel that the room and bathroom is well-cleaned. Bathroom smelled nice too!
Additionally the staff is super friendly, help out the travelers in every way possible. Little rooftop hangout zone has grt vibes too :)
I would stay here again
- Hammali Ahmed (1/5): Terrible and Dirty - I liked only the location and the price. The hostel was terrible and dirty — there were no comfort facilities at all. After I checked in and placed my luggage on my bed, I went out for a while. When I came back, I found someone sleeping in my bed and my luggage had been moved. When I spoke to him, he said the reception told him to sleep there. I then spoke to the reception, and it turned out his friend had taken my bed and moved my things. It was one of the worst hostel experiences I’ve ever had.
- Steffie (8/5): Recommend highly 🤗 - Very nice vieuw and good value for the money u pay. Friendly people and cats around the hostel. I been here more then once and i like it. Someone took without asking all my chocolat at of the fridge and ate it. It was a gift from another country and someone ate my gift😐 an arabic man.
- Anthony (9/5): A real find and very good value - Excellent friendly staff. Nice terrace where travellers who stay there can relax and share stories.

- Aikaterini (8/5): - Tahsin is super helpful and very welcoming to all travellers. The location is perfect. Having a kitchen and a terrace is so helpful - not many hostels do!! Also, sheets and towels provided - very clean :-) Sometimes, the water was too hot (due to backflow issues with water pressure in the area). There is no oven, just a 2 burner gas hob, and it is small, so it may get a bit crowded.

- TEAGHAN (10/5): I had a lovely stay for my first few nights in Türkiye! I met lovely people and the staff were so helpful and happy to h - Very friendly travellers here, staff also very kind and helpful. Air conditioning was lovely too :)

- Aamir (10/5): Best place for solo traveller - The staff and the place are very nice N/a
- Gabriela (8/5): Very good - I really like, that it’s close to Galata tower, haha. From this hostel you can really easily go to nice places around. Also super close to Karaköy port, from where you can travel to the Asian side of Istanbul. So location is perfect!
I stayed more nights and it was okay for me. Can sleep easily, but minaret is close and woke me up a lot of times. Badsheets were clean. Staff offered me towels for free and also a cabinet locker. People here are so nice and always helpful. This place also have beautiful terrace from where you can see landscape of Istanbul. WiFi was working without problem.
I can recommend this hostel! Will stay there next time. I didn’t like the bathroom that much, it was bit moldy… but I understand, it’s an old building…

- Muhammad (7/5): Good -

- Gerard (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rahul (7/5): Good - the staffs were very helpful, very kind. i appreacite it a lot. I went there at 3 am in the morning and the staff took me to the room and help me in check in. nothing much but if the could provide drinking water just by insatlling a water filter for all their guests that would be great.
- Ali (5/5): Passable -
- Kseniya (8/5): Very good - Everything is fine. The place is just close to Galata tower. In the center. People who work in hostel are really nice, friendly, always ready to help. From terrace you can see stars and all the city. Sometimes a little noisy
- Apikoon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ibon (8/5): Cheap and reasonable for short stays - The location itself is magnificent (although it took me a but of a time to find it) and the price is super competitive compared to the rest. The staff were nice too and it was pretty comfortable. The cleanliness of the common areas and the bathroom of the room itself were a bit 7/10 but anyway didn’t use it much. I personally had the 4-bed bedroom and I definitely did a good choice because the rest looked a bit overpacked.
- Aljaž (8/5): Very good -
- Vajira (7/5): Good - hostel situated at very close to galata tower, and the staff were very friendly and always helpful. and hostel rooms and beds are ok. and all the rooms have guest lockers. and you have to have your own padlocks. and rooms are air-conditioning. booking.com not working in Turkey 😭
- Aljaž (9/5): Superb -
- Abeer (7/5): Good -
- Hamza (1/5): For location like this, they should be doing more better and increase the price too - Only the location Everything else also I want to add that it doesn’t look like in the pictures and they did not give me a duvet
- Ibroontheroad (7/5): Good - Location is good Common area and kitchen is very Small.. kitchen tools are not enough
- Khanh (5/5): Cheap accommodation for a long stay - Location next to galata west, 5’ walking. Complicated as a dorm but cheap
- Hongqing (1/5): not friendly, a lot of mosquito - not friendly, a lot of mosquito
- Hongqing (1/5): not friendly service,a lot of mosquito - not friendly

Staff very kind

Good relax zone
Compared to the price the hostel is good Clean badly
my bed outlet didn't work
- Barbora (4/5): Dont choose this hostel, there are plenty of much safer and nicer - I liked only the location Everything else, the bunk beds are covered in plastic bags, so you hear everything and you are sweating more. When you wanna open the window, you need to move the bed, its so annoying. Sockets by two beds were not working. They gave me a locker to my things, but the locker was broken. Door to the bathroom were broken, so you needed to shut them with force to close them. And the worst thing was that there wasnt any key to my room - someone, everybody could go in, I felt in danger because the hostel has poor reception (just a table), only cameras for security, but cameras dont save you if someone come in and kill you. I stayed in a room with two ladies who worked here and they had their stuff everywhere and were really loud.
- Humyra (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Claudia (6/5): Pleasant - The rooftop
Kitchen to cook your own food and free water It was not very clean in the bedrooms. The cleaning person didn't change the bed sheets and didn't clean the bathrooms well.
- Simon (6/5): Pleasant - The location is good I don't feel comfortable.
- Andreï (9/5): Superb -
- Abbos (7/5): Good -
- Alfredo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (5/5): Passable -
- Henry (3/5): Kind of a grim place in a lovely city - The location was good and the roof terrace is nice. Our first encounter with the gruff and rather unfriendly manager Mustafa was when we checked in. After some delay and hesitation he brought to our rooms, which were full of dirt and rubbish. He wasn’t sure if the sheets had been changed but told us he hoped they were. He informed us that there were no keys to the room or a lock outside to the street, which results in randomers walking around the hostel. To matters worse all the lockers were locked therefore it was impossible to keep our passports and other valuable safe. Our room on the first floor was dark and the window was covered by a tatty rag, the fan blocked the light meaning every time you turned it on we had the privilege of a impromptu disco party in a dank and dingen room that smelt worse than a school boys locker room.
Cleanliness was grim and disgraceful ( the cleaning lady was very kind and incredible helpful and did a fantastic job ) the shower head was broken and was not fixed dispute multiple guests informing by the staff of this issue the shower leaked the whole time making you feel like you lived in 1 star version of Shreks swamp.
The owner would frequently barge into rooms with out knocking and we heard from their guests he did this in the girls only rooms too…
Washing is possible if you want to play Russian roulette with ever getting your things back.
To summarise, this is a fantastic place if you enjoy dank quagmires with hospitality that died 20 years ago around the same time they ever did a repair on the place.
- Parisasadat (9/5): Superb -
- Alfredo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Camille (7/5): Great value, lacks practicality - Hostel is nice overall, location is great and make it great value for the price. There is a nice terrasse on the roof with a beautiful view on Istambul and the galata tower. The 9-bed dormitories are quite little, but It didn't affect my sleeping, which was great. It just lack some little items such as power strips on the rooms, shelves to get your stuff organized (bags were all over the floor, making the room feel even more little than it is). Little improvements that could make the experience better at little cost.
- Mehmet (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mazin1984 (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent thanks 🙏👍
- Quantumsomnium (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maiwand (8/5): Very good -
- Solo (1/5): Bad - Administrator from Lybia named Mohammed constantly bugging, asking cigarettes, stealing food from the fridge, crossing personal borders. Impossible to stay when administration discusses guests in the derogatory manner behind the guests' back. Avoid
- Claudia (1/5): Worst hostel I have ever stayed in - I have been in 30 countries in my whole life and I always stayed at hostels, I chose this because of the location , but omg… it was the worst hostel ever , 3 beds instead of 2 in one column , felt like in a prision , the bathroom inside the room had the worst smell ever , inside the toilet it was literally black , everything very old and breaking, the walls were peeling off . See pic , very weird people as guests too. The receptionist wants that gentle neither. Do you a favor and skip this hostel
- Harry (9/5): Superb -
- Somewhere-in-the-world (3/5): One night stand if you have no other options - - Location
- They allowed me to change rooms when I asked for it - long-term stayers in the rooms pushing their way of living on other guests
- reception volunteer living in my room smokes in the room. I asked him to stop, so he did ...for 1 day (I stayed for a week)
- not enough floor space for 9 people in such small room
- communal areas mostly occupied by long-termers & staff members who want it all to themselves - nowhere to socialise and even me prepating sandwiches on the table was too loud for some (nowhere to eat in peace)
- out of 9 steel cupboards in my 2nd room, six were taken by some cloth belonging to no one.
- large pile of dirty cloth under the window (...belonging to no one?)
- bathroom door cannot be locked. Later, a key appeared in the lock, but when I used it ...I could not unlock the lock
- Azamat (1/5): Bad -
- Khanzhin (7/5): Worth the price. - The location, price A lot of people in the rooms, not very clean
- E.n.shirokov (10/5): Exceptional -
- Moritz (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice and save location next to the galata tower. Dorm and bathroom were clean, the hosts were very nice and gave us recommendations where to get good and cheap food.
- Vlad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vilma (9/5): Superb - Nice people work there. The hostel has good location and incredible view from the terrace.
