Guest Reviews
- Emma (7/5): Good - Very friendly staff and good communal spaces
- Emily (7/5): Good -
- Karina (5/5): Passable - Location was nice, the little garde and rooftop as well and the open kitchen :) Room was quite noisy from the street and the squeaking and beds not that comfortable. Also the vibe was weird when we were there. Social area was super cold and in general it was not very social. Felt like there were only volunteers living there.
- Siobhan (6/5): Pleasant - It was a 10 minute walk from the main town near lots of bars and restaurants. Staff seemed nice. There was hot water. It had kind of a weird vibe. They kept the front door constantly locked so you had to try to track down a member of staff to let you out of the building.
The bed was uncomfortable and the dorm room not very clean.
It's a bit of a stretch to say that it had breakfast included. It was basically 2 tiny pieces of pastry with a little jam and coffee. I ended up buying extra food for breakfast and I saw other guests that had done the same.
There were only 2 toilets that were in the main common area so sometimes you had to wait and you could see people felt a little uncomfortable using them.
- Sarah (8/5): Good location, nice staff and good kitchen facilities - Nice kitchen area and outside space. Towels provided. Great showers. Side of room was good and good shelf space for rucksacks. Walk into main town only 15 mins and you are in the craft beer area of Salta. Beds were very thin and you could feel the springs. The staff have to come and unlock and lock the door for you every time you come in and out, which feels ridiculous - maybe a button or a way for guests to let themselves in/out would be more appropriate.
- Nadine (1/5): Bad - BED BUGS
I slept in this hostel one night after I had a bed bug incident in another hostel in Salta so I was really hoping for a quiet and peaceful night.
Unfortunately this hostel also has bed bugs. In our room there were 4 of 6 beds in which we have found bed bugs (and lots of them).
One guest talked in Spanish to the night stuff and complained about the bed bugs and she got transfered to a private room.
The rest of us had to stay and sleep in the beds with the bed bugs which I found extremely rude and unprofessional!!! Even though I showed him also my fresh bites.
The guest who complained in Spanish also said that she saw several bed bugs in the bottom bed below her and the girl who is sleeping in this bed hasn't returned yet (it was in the night) and the staff just said "Yeah, we will see". So the girl came back in the night without knowing and had to sleep in the bed with beg bugs.
The bed bugs did definetely not come from me as I put my backpack far away from the beds and there were way too many bed bugs on 4 different beds.
I really hope this hostel takes this problem seriously and takes responsibility to get a professional cleaner and professional treatment to kill the bed bugs!!!
- Jennifer (10/5): 🏳️🌈🦮 - Fantastic hostel and staff….and Murga!! Very clean and comfortable. Nothing
- Annabelle (8/5): Great place to spend a few days in salta ! - Cute hostel with friendly staff and a friendly hostel dog! No air con in the room! Got very stuffy at night
- Bryony (8/5): Very good - Friendly welcome, kitchen, multiple shower rooms, location
- Mteny (7/5): Good - The staff were very friendly. Good location near the main square. Nice seating areas. I think the property really needs a deep clean and some repainting. The pillows were just foam which was strange. Only two outlets in the five bed dorm (fine for me since no one else was there when I stayed). Breakfast very basic.
- Glenn (7/5): Pleasant Location - Location is good in a reasonably upmarket neighbourhood about 5 blocks from the centre . Breakfast was pleasant and the staff were helpful and upbeat
- Gareth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aikaterini (10/5): Exceptional - Super clean, very comfortable, luminous, spacious, great garden, lovely dog, amazing staff/people. Hostel has bikes to rent which was a lifesaver! Very safe.
- Jarno (8/5): Very good - Super friendly staff! We only stayed a day but they were happy to let us leave our bags before our bus. Location was central, and rooms/beds were comfy! Nice backyard to relax. No a/c wasn’t ideal as it got quite warm inside. Bathrooms were a bit old. Breakfast was simple.
- Lara (9/5): Superb -
- Rosalind (8/5): Very good -
- Kaya95 (6/5): Pleasant -
- Bogdan (8/5): Very good - The best parts of the hostal are the volunteers, the location and the commun area! Pretty old mattresses, pillows and towels... maybe some refreshing would not be bad 😀
- Konstantin (9/5): Superb - Spacious dorms, convenient location, lovely staff. All amenities a backpacker needs. Clean and tidy. Great value for the money. Breakfast is basic.
- Sravan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jamie (7/5): Good -
- Julia (7/5): Good value but I switched hostels. - The staff was very friendly and the hostel was well located. The beds were clean and comfortable. There are only two toilets in the hostel and they were not the cleanest. There were many mosquitoes in the room because the staff left the windows open all the time.
- Caleb (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clément (10/5): Very nice stay :) - ● The staff was very kind!
● The dormitory was clean and spacious enough
● It was quiet
● It was close to the city center
● Murga the dog is very cute :) ● It was a bit far from the bus terminal, but the latter is anyway quite far from the city centre
- Caitlin (7/5): Cute dog, nice people, wanted to like it but it’s a bit grim - Love that it’s LGBTQIA+ friendly. Love the dog. The whole place needs a serious lot of TLC. The bedding is super old and in need of replacing, the pillows are literally just pieces of foam. The bunks are rickety and no railings which made me feel like I was going to fall out. No storage in the rooms, no plugs, no curtains, no locker in the room. Just the basics u need for a hostel. It had one hot shower. The place was definitely clean and the volunteers were friendly but very dark and kinda grim. Also annoying there was no key so every time you wanted to get in or out someone hd to let you with the master key. Breakfast may as well not be provided in my opinion just super toasty bits of baguette and jam. I wanted to like it more but it needs a lot of work.
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing staff, cool and relaxed atmosphere... Breakfast should be better
- Anja (8/5): Very good -
- Siu (9/5): Good stay - Helpful staff and cute dog Nil

- Tony (7/5): Good -
- Rosalind (9/5): Superb -
- Kristie (5/5): happy to be leaving - - good location. - our room smelled mouldy and we couldn’t open the windows because everyone sat directly outside at all hours smoking.
- we couldn’t open the curtains because people looked directly into our room from the common area.
- the door to our room opens straight into the common areas.
- the bathroom is mouldy, needs a deep clean and the shower saturates the whole room.
- the skylight/vent in the ceiling of the bathroom let noise and weed smoke in from the patio which was above our room and probably let’s any sound out too which makes it feel like you have zero privacy.
- it was often not clear who was working/on shift and who wasn’t as I think a few people lived and worked there. It made it super awkward anytime we needed to ask for anything as they sat around in a clicky group.
- the front door is generally locked with a key from the inside and if you try to let a ‘staff’ member know you’re going outside at night so the door will be unlocked and reception is unattended they seem super unimpressed that you’ve bothered them.
- the kitchen is quite small so you’re always in someone’s way.
- Becky (7/5): Good - This is a great hostal if you’re in your 20’s
- Lara (3/5): Poor - The staff was so nice The rooms were no clean at all, and the private bathroom had hairs in the toilet :(
- Julia (6/5): Pleasant - Good location to walk around in the center, big kitchen and common area, clean bathroom. Very strong and bad smell in the bedroom, not sure if it was a spray against mosquitos, but my skin reacted to the chemicals.
- Raquel (10/5): Exceptional - The staff and the dog were really friendly and the location of the hostel was quiet.
- Ebony (5/5): Good location but not the best rooms or bathrooms - - Location was very good - close to multiple bars and restaurants and only a 10 minute walk to the centre
- Very cute hostel dog!!
- Front door was always locked so seemed safe and secure but easy enough to gain access - There was lots of mould in the private bedroom and bathroom which wasn’t visible in marketing photos
- The bathroom was more of a wet room which again was not advertised
- No-where to place bags or clothes in the room
- Breakfast very basic - a few pieces of extremely dry & hard bread with 1 butter & jam each
- María (9/5): Superb -

- Aveline (10/5): staff were all amazing! Hostel has a great chilled energy. - Breakfast was basic yet sufficient. Toasted bread with butter and jam provided with teas and coffee. Bed head room a little tricky if on the lower bunk.
- Lawrence (8/5): Will stay here if I travel to Salta again - Close to bus terminal and friendly, efficient, helpful staff members. Facilities such as bath room and kitchen are really well equipped. Quite many mosquitos at night.
- Lauren (4/5): Disappointing - Staff were friendly, the communal areas were cute and the location was good. Breakfast was not good.
The bed didn't have a fitted sheet and the sheet it did have was too small and the pillows had open ended cases so by the morning you were sleeping on a matress and pillows without sheet which is unhgyenic.
The bins in the bathroom need to be pedal bins not ones you use with your hand as that is also unhgyenic.
It would be good if the rooms had bins.
- Jamie (5/5): great location, hostel needs cleaned and updated - colourful, bright hostel in a great location with strong wifi and helpful and kind staff a deep clean is needed throughout the hostel (feels quite grubby and old) and lots of things need updated or fixed . mattresses / towels / bedding need replaced, breakfast very basic with bread and jam
- Lily (5/5): Passable - In a good location with good Wi-Fi and kitchen facilities Our bedroom had bed bugs and we came out bitten. Room was not clean.
- Stu (7/5): Good -
- Judith (10/5): Exceptional - Everyone was very kind and ready to help with information. Highly recommended!
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Louise (5/5): You get what you pay for. - Good location. Dog barking in the night. Shower that didn’t turn on properly.
- Ruck (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuel (10/5): Definitely worth to stay here for your time in Salta! - Nice place with even nicer people!!
- Gino (9/5): Superb -
