Guest Reviews
- Juan Jose (10/5): -
- Noam (10/5): - Beautiful surroundings. There is a little trail from the hostel that you can take to a waterfall. It feels like a mountain refuge but with all the comforts The room was quite cold even with the heater on. But not too extreme
- Indigo (10/5): - Lovely staff, amazing garden, very clean and great activities nearby
- Morgan (10/5): Peaceful and surrounded by nature. - Situated a little outside El Bolson but very easy to get to either by car (theres lots of signs on the road there) or via taxi like we did from Remis taxis in the centre near the bus station. Means the property feels surrounded by nature, the grounds were huge with a beautiful mirador spot off the side where you could watch the sunset over the mountain and town in the evening. Staff so nice and helpful, advising on stuff to do in the town and hikes, particularly how to get places. Breakfast lovely as well. And the room was very clean, comfortable and well maintained. 10/10 would stay here for a relaxing time. N/A

- Fernanda (10/5): Muy lindo - Hermosa Nada
- EHUD (10/5): - Beautiful place, great stuff:)
- Leyre (6/5): Bien, calidad precio.
- Yuval (10/5): Surprise! - The spacious place (inside andespecially outside, the amazing condition of the building, the great owner, and the price (which, honastly, is too low for whay you get) One crew member was disrespectful toward me throught all ofy stay.
(Because it's only one, it doesn't effect the total score, but still - shouldn't happen.
- Lazarev (10/5): - Staff and other guests is the most beautiful part of this hostel, but views are also really good Poor choise of prepared food
- Fernando (10/5): -
- Fernando (10/5): El mejor hostel lejos.
- melanie (10/5): Super! - Everything was wonderful, great staff, breakfast, beautiful area. It is a drive down a dusty road away from the city square, but lovely.
- Frida (9/5): -
- Alessandro (10/5): -
- Magdalena (10/5): -
- Shoffner (5/5): - The yard is beautiful I’ve never been to a hostel such as this. The bed and pillow were extremely uncomfortable. There was a light on until around 1 am that was extremely bright right in my face so it made it hard to sleep.
Espero volver pronto
- Charley (10/5): Retreat into and Rest in Nature - Perfect place to escape for a while
Super clean and well equipped kitchen meant I could easily cook
Big property with many places to sit…tables, benches, chairs, hammocks, tree trunks, big stones
Volunteers do an amazing job
And Mario is very concerned you have a good stay
Breakfast bread/toast with butter and jam much appreciated Haggling over the price after booking
Only hostel I’ve stayed in Argentina where you must pay the taxes….yes as a foreigner and after saying no if paying cash, that then changed to a yes….
And yet the price was good, the long whats app about it not so much
- Jorg (9/5): Recommended for a stay of 2 to 3 nights - The hosts are very welcoming. The hostel is beautifully situated on the slopes of Cerro Piltriquitrón. It takes some time to get there, but the views and relaxed atmosphere was completely worth the hike/Uber drive to the slightly hard to access location.
Overall, this was probably the hostel with the best price/quality balance of my entire stay in Argentina!
- Nicole (9/5): Superb - The staff members did a great job in making you feel at home.
I loved the outdoor places!
Super quiet at night - amazing. There were only two bathrooms for all the customers.
To reach my room you had to walk through a sleeping area of others. A bit strange.
- Weiyu (9/5): Superb - I spent three nights at this amazing hostel over the Christmas holiday, and I was impressed by how impeccably it’s maintained. Everything is spotless, beautifully decorated, and exudes a quaint charm, offering a true refuge in the forest. The space is spacious, complete with its own observatory, and feels like a well-loved home where the owners, Mario and Maga, also live. They are flexible, kind, and welcoming, making the stay feel like being part of a family.
While the hostel is a bit removed from town—so it’s a good idea to stock up on groceries before arriving—it’s ideally located on the way to the Piu-Tri-Ki-Tron peak. The views from the peak are unforgettable, and this hostel serves as the perfect starting point and a cozy retreat after a day’s hike. We also shared a wonderful Christmas dinner together, making the experience even more special.
If you’re looking for tranquility, comfort, and a warm, home-like atmosphere, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!
- Catalin (9/5): Superb -
- Pamela (8/5): A great hostel. Amazing views! - The location was up the hill overlooking the town with the mountains all around you. The double room was comfortable. The hostel was well maintained by the staff and our host Mario was friendly (+ excellent English) and gave great advice for hiking and other activities in the area. Breakfast was lovely homemade bread, butter and jam. Don't be put off by the distance from town, we had a car but other guests arrived by taxi and said this was very affordable. There was a little bit of evening noise in the communal kitchen and dining area and our room was a little close to the hive of activity and we prefer lights out and rise early for hiking. Fortunately there were strict times of use outlined for the kitchen so overall plenty of quiet quality sleep.
- Mylène (9/5): Superb - Calme place and friendly staff.
- Yan (10/5): Great Hostel - Wow what an a amazing Hostel.
The garden with all the seats and hammock is amazing with astonishing views to all the valley, mountains and town.
The staff was amazing and very good. Got a lot of good recommendations from them.
Very nice style of the hostel and everything is very clean. Feels like 5 star hotel.
- Sarah (9/5): Fantastic stay! - The outside space at the hostel is amazing, they have a bbq and hammocks you can use. The owner, Mario and his wife are super friendly
- Frankie (9/5): Superb - Mario & the team were brilliant and super helpful. Felt like a really community staying here. The view is stunning but make sure you pop to the shop before arriving at the hostel to save you a trip.
- Adam (9/5): Superb - Very friendly staff, great kitchen and lovely breakfast! The view is lovely over the town and will be greater to sit outside when warmer! Note that you will most likely need a car or be happy to taxi up to the hostel and as it is quite far uphill
- Lisanne (10/5): Exceptional - Great and beautiful hostel! The staff is so nice and they make sure you have the best time;)
- Michael (10/5): great place, fantastic location - Great stay with super friendly staff in a fantastic location in the mountains with hammocks in the trees, very tranquil and quite a distance to the small city center of El Bolsón, if you seek to disconnect and relax, that is the place
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional - Very peaceful property. There are hammocks set up and a great viewpoint. Everything was extremely clean and well kept. Kitchen has everything you need, even sharp knives!
- Joaquin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daisy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruy (10/5): Exceptional - I love the people, the vibe, and the owners. Everything and everyone is amazing. They were there for every need, question o problem that happens.
I like a lot that on checking they tell you the rules and expectations of each guest. So living together is nice and with clear expectations.
I love that breakfast is in a table shared with other guest in the common room, so you get to know them and make friends. The waste system is a bit complicated but asking questions you learn a lot so, is a very minor issue.
- Krzysztof (9/5): Superb - Mario is an excellent host, very attentive and kind. The place is located in a picturesque location, a perfect getaway from the busyness of El bolson.
- Laura (10/5): Beautiful hostel - The family that runs it is so sweet. They deserve all the best. Also the beautifully green environment, well equipped kitchen and cozy common areas are worth mentioning.
- Bobsyouruncle (7/5): Good -
- Koen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (9/5): Superb - Mario is super friendly and helpful. Probably one of the nicest hostels we’ve stayed at, if you enjoy peace and tranquility. For breakfast there was only bread, butter and jam, and for the coffee only milk powder. But it’s easy to make your own breakfast.
