- Harmen (7/5): Good -
- Anna (10/5): Lovely stay in a very peaceful environment - We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is super peaceful and calming. Ruben was also very helpful and provided us with tips for the area. The facilities were great and for us the wifi worked super good.
- Lotte (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect!
- Finn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexander (1/5): Bad - The offer was 34 usd on booking and on arrival they charged 48k, which is over 30% more than booking tells you. Besides that its very far from the centre. The breakfast is very basic just biscuits with dulce the leche. Wouldnt recommend to anyone..
- Bar (8/5): Very good -
- Thu (10/5): Exceptional - The hostel locates about 15 minute walk from the center, on the other side of the river in a transquil area. It's simple but very clean and well accomodated. Enough bathrooms for everyone. Breakfast is very nice. The owner is very attentive to his guests. Probably some chairs and shades in the garden would be nice!
- Haggay (9/5): Superb -
- Lars (7/5): Good - Nice ambience, great people, clean Very cold, breakfast very limited
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our time at El Sol hostel. Carlos and his team were very friendly and Carlos was so helpful with information on bus times/trips etc. The accommodation was so nice; everything was clean, breakfast was good, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook and the shower water was very hot. The bedroom was separate to the kitchen/dining room and had sunrise and sunset views with a very comfortable bed. There was a little heater in the room for us if we needed it. We really enjoyed the location; it is an easy 10-15 minute walk from the main town, in a safe and quiet area that had a more local feel to it. It was so peaceful and quiet- a really nice place to relax.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - The staff are great. The location is peaceful. Everything is great.
- Amir (9/5): Superb -
- Lara (9/5): Superb - Hot shower, comfortable room.
- Jelle (9/5): Superb -
- Olivia (9/5): Fabulous place to stay in Humahuaca! - A very clean, friendly and quiet hostel! Staff were helpful and let us keep our bags safe after check out, the breakfast was tasty and it had a lovely view.
- Philippa (8/5): Very good -
- Kiran (9/5): Great overall experience. - The hostel felt authentic, was very clean and the staff were excellent. Toilets and showers were also very good. There is also secure parking if you have a vehicle. Pillows could be more comfortable and bit more variety at breakfast would have made the stay 10/10.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Klára (9/5): Superb - Nice accommodation in quiet neighborhood.
- Julien (8/5): Nice accommodation for a short stay - Nice basic accommodation with breakfast. Breakfast is served at 7:30, 8:30 or 9:30. The host was nice and friendly. There is space for parking outside. Hot shower was available. Heater was provided in the room. The bathroom was outside and very cold. It's a little far away from the centre but no problem if you have a car.
- Stephen (8/5): Highly recommended - The room was clean and comfortable and staff were very helpful. Great location too
- Maja (4/5): Disappointment in many ways - not worth the trouble. - The room itself was good, top floor with good view and not cold at night. The only positive of our experience. Place is very simple and not well kept. The amenities are like staying at a camping. To go to bathroom and showers you have to go outside from all rooms, supercold at night. Hot water was not working 1 out of 2 nights. Kitchen is super small with just one camping stove, took 1 hour to cook pasta for 2 people. I found spider webs in kitchen. The place feels way out of town, not worth the walk being far from everything. As foreigner you should also be aware they do not accept cards, so the price in booking without tax is not possible to pay - you will pay 20% more than price at booking!
Apart from this, the hostel also had noone opening for breakfast our first morning, noone answering phone or whatsapp. That left us without breakfast and without access to our food in the fridge. Later that day, one of the two managers apologized and reimbursed us for the breakfast we had to buy in town which was good. The other manager didnt seem to care. Just to be clear, I am basing my review on standard I have seen in Argentina.
- Serena (8/5): Very good -
- Yanina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (8/5): Very good - Lovely quiet spot outside of the main town Wi fi did not work consistently from dorm
- Matthew (7/5): Good - Hot showers, good wifi, ok breakfast. Bit if a walk into town. Rooms were cold at night (although blankets were adequate). Toilets are outside so not nice if you need to go during the night. And the outside areas have no chairs - we had to sit on the ground to enjoy the sun.
- Dmtomazio (9/5): Superb - Good basic hostel. Located in a very quiet place, 15 minutes walk from the bus terminal.
- Matilda (7/5): Good value for a short stay, but could be more comfortable - cozy reception, good value a little out of town, had to walk past some angry dogs to get there. rooms were very, very cold at night!
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Constanza (7/5): Good -
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (7/5): Convenient, clean and comfortable - Room warm, clean and comfortable Property was called a 'Hostel' but there was no access to a kitchen, so it was really a guest house or Bed and Breakfast
- Stefan (8/5): nice place, I will return -
- Juliane (10/5): Lovely little place - I really liked this hostel. Very good value for the price. People are really nice and give you a lot of tips for surroundings. The hostel has very nice decor with lots of attention to detail. I loved Humahuaca and my stay there!
- Federico (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kieran (9/5): Superb -
- Wanderingtom (9/5): Excellent - Nice quiet location on the outskirts of town. Extremely well cleaned. Good sized dorm room with comfortable beds.. Staff were very helpful. Felt new and well kept. Juice and coffee at breakfast were lovely (and I appreciated the early breakfast the day I checked out). Could do with a few more power sockets in the dorm room. Breakfast was nice, but could do with a piece of fruit or something to add variety.
- Sofi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Salvador (4/5): creepy bad - nothing pillows and sheets were from 1990. it seems the owner hasn’t been around for many years
- Mario (8/5): Super friendly staff - Nice decorated structure and garden, good breakfast and super friendly staff the location is nonetheless pretty far from the city center, in a desolated neighborhood with a lot of dogs
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - The attentiveness and most helpful staff. 5 stars
- Jacob (7/5): Good value for local money (not for official conversion rate….) - Built as an authentic Pueblo, El Sol was conveniently & quietly located 15 walking minutes from the restaurants, bars and market. Staff fiendly and helpful. One warning remark for the town: there are no money changing facilities in town euro to pesetas. Make sure you have enough cash while visiting/staying here.
- Martyn (8/5): Not too bad. - Nice bathroom. Room clean. Quiet. Nice walk to viewpoint up the hill. Room very small.
No kitchen to use.
A bit out of town.
Nowhere comfortable to sit outside.
- Hollie (7/5): Good - Large, spacious dorm rooms with sturdy bunk beds and comfortable bedding – blankets were enough to keep me warm at night, though there's also an electric heat available for use. Lockers in the room and hooks on the wall. Staff helpful and can provide recommendations on what to do in the area. Quiet location outside of the town centre. The breakfast was too carb/sugar heavy for my liking — bread, jam and a pastry, though I've since discovered that it's a typical Argentinean breakfast. Fresher, softer bread would have been nice. Showers are in outdoor buildings so although the water can get really hot, you're cold as soon as you step outside, plus the floors are concrete and freezing cold – bath mats would be a huge improvement.
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Davide (9/5): Superb -
- Jorge (9/5): Superb -
