• Danilo (10/5): Best Host ever - The host of the hostel is so helpful; he does everything possible to make your stay better and try to help you in everything you need; one of the best hosts ever! The only thing missing on the hostel is a kitchen, hope they can adapt. If you get there by bus like me go easily uphill until you find the hostel , it's tiring but possible

• Chloé (10/5): Excellente expérience - L'emplacement a proximité des ruelles typiques, la gentillesse de l'hôte, le fait que l'hôte nous ai attendu en nous réservant une place du petit parking devant l'hôtel, la chambre pour 3 tellement charmante et sa terrasse, le calme, les sanitaires communs très propres. Je recommande +++ pour une expérience dépaysante L'accès à l'hôtel par des petites ruelles très en pente pas très pratique mais qui vaut le coup.

Les sanitaires, douches et la chambre sont très propres et le gérant est toujours disponible au besoin ! Il fait un peu froid en hiver donc ne pas hésiter a demander une seconde couverture

• Nikos (7/5): Simple and cozy hostel in the old town - Perfect location, very close to the old town center andd castle. The host is very kind and helpful. The view of the terrace is beautiful. The room was simple but comfortable. Everything was very clean. The bed was not so comfy but ok fotlr one night. The re are not blindings at ag the windows so the sunlight comes is very early. There was not a common kitchen (but it is under construction).
• Teresa (8/5): Alles okay - Die Lage ist ein absoluter Traum und auch die Zimmer und Betten sind super! Es gibt einen total schönen und sonnigen Balkon mit toller Aussicht auf die Burg. Das Band hat sehr unangenehm gerochen sodass wir dort leider nicht duschen konnten .

• Leo (9/5): Gut um paar Nächte in Girokaster zu verbringen. - Tolle Lage mit sehr ruhiger Umgebung. Trotzdem immernoch sehr gute Nähe zum Zentrum und der Burg sowie die Dachterasse ist sehr idyllisch zum Zeit verbringen. Die Duschen hatten bei meinem Aufenthalt im Hostel, kein Warmwasser, war etwas schade. Man könnte noch Handtücher beim Wasserhahn hinmachen das man die Hände richtig abtrocknen kann.

Bien, la habitación y los baños, agradable terraza. Mal.. falta una zona social interior y especialmente una cocina, no se sirve desayuno ni se facilita, un poquito de  mosquitos..

• michal (8/5): - It was amazing to stay in an old authentic house. The location was easy to reach, but far from old town center. The view from the balcony was amazing. There was a bit of confusion in the beginning about our rooms. But they were nice and solved it.

It was a shame that the kitchen and roof terrace were not in use, I think this would really add to the hostel and make it more sociable.

Sheri is very welcoming and we had a chance to get to know her a bit better and learn about Albanias history and culture. She is lovely and kind :) The room was simple. What makes it special is the access to the terrace with a stunning view of the castle! -

• Ariadna (9/5): - The hostel was very comfortable and cozy. My room even had a fridge, the beds were really comfortable, and the terrace offered a beautiful view of Gjirokastra Castle. Everything was always clean, and the lovely elderly lady is such a sweetheart — she made the stay even more special.
• Delvin (8/5): - Nice roof top area but you have to climb through the window to reach it. 😂 10 minute walk to old town but up a steep hill. Of course everything is on the hill. The road to the hostel is very steep & rough! Carry-on or luggage won’t roll on it. Has nothing but a fridge in the room. No kitchen, microwave, kettle or sink. Food is cheap so I guess it’s not needed?

• Sean Maguire (10/5): - Trigona was a great place to stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with access to the roof terrace via an easily managed window - it's an old building so this is understandable. The washroom is spotlessly clear and the shower units are quite spacious. I would highly recommend staying at the Trigona. Having to move on!

• Morgan (7/5): - Très bien placé. Pas de cuisine, pas d'endroit pour laver et sécher votre linge. La porte d'entrée est continuellement ouverte (non verrouillée) et claque en fermant. Beaucoup de bruit. Il serait intéressant d'y ajouter un frein et d'expliquer aux clients qu'il faut remonter la poignée pour verrouiller la porte.... Surtout la nuit. Accès terrasse accrobatique.

• Claire (8/5): Très bon potentiel, quelques choses à améliorer - L'emplacement parfait pour ne pas se garer trop loin mais être proche à pied du centre historique. La terrasse avec sa vue incroyable sur la citadelle éclairée. Le confort des lits, le calme des lieux. La dame peu accueillante, la propreté à améliorer (terrasse, sanitaires, frigo). Une brosse à WC est indispensable pour des toilettes partagées. J'avais demandé à l'avance s'il y avait un frigo mais il n'était pas branché à l'arrivée et pas de freezer pour les pains de glace ni de lave-linge accessible.

I sent whatapp and i called many times no body answered.. I kept waiting for more than 4 hours no body answered me.. And thats very annoying for a traveller came very long way and need to have rest..

• Lief (7/5): Great location and views - Comfortable beds, amazing rooftop terrace, good views and location. We were the only guests at the hostel The bathroom would be unpleasant if it was full. There are three showers and toilets for 30+ guests. The kitchen has been permanently closed and is now another dorm room. Dinner is very expensive in this city
• Phoebe (8/5): Very comfortable and convenient! - Some of the best showers (there is a door, hooks and curtain which separates your clothes from the risk of water spraying on them). Also very comfortable beds and nice and quiet. It is worth nothing there isn’t a communal socialising space, aside from the roof top, which wasn’t an option due to the rain.

• Tlnz (9/5): Superb - Its a good location, not too far from bus stop, I had 10kg backpack and not very fit but was to walk up the hill. You can't avoid hills in Gjirokaster! Not too far to walk up hill to old town town or down to new town (really good sweet pasty shop there!) It was very clean, beds very comfortable and you have bedside table and PowerPoint and bottom bunk has privacy curtain. There is also drawers at bottom of bunk that you can lock your backpack in. Our room also had mini fridge!!! I thought this was great, keep your water bottles chill overnight for your walks during the day and also putting any left over sweet pastries for later 😂 Didn't have warm shower first day but next day it was good. The shower has large ceiling head and a hand held shower head as well! There is a hair dryer to use as well which is helpful. The Terrance is the only common area. Unfortunately no other common area or kitchen (no utensils to use). There is no staff on desk unless you happen to come middle of day when they are cleaning. But she lives nearby and the wifi password and her number are on the door. So no one to ask any questions about buses or any other simple questions travellers normally have.
• Julie (6/5): Disappointing experience after all the great reviews. - The woman who checked me in was really nice. Bed in the dorm was comfortable. The whole place was very clean. There is no common room where to hang out. No kitchen, so you can't even have your breakfast. Bad sewage smell in the bathroom. No one at reception to get some info.

• Jocelynn (10/5): Exceptional - Our hosts were very friendly! A very kind family. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the heater was great on a chilly night. We loved the balcony; from there, you can see snow-covered mountains (we went in the winter) and the bell tower. The room is close to the castle and old bazaar, and the neighborhood is quiet. Thank you Sheri & Medio! The kitchen happened to be closed for renovations; however, Gjirokaster has plenty of delicious and affordable restaurants, so no issues there!

The showers are like you’d get at a luxury hotel, with plenty of hooks and places to hold soap etc. The beds are very comfortable and there are lights and sockets and shelves for your phone. 100% recommend to anyone looking for hostel in Gjirokaster!! Nothing!!
• Ra (8/5): Very charming hostel - Lovely owner. She is like your auntie and she barely speaks some words in English. Beautiful traditional old house, with charm and very cute. On the main street to the old bazar, less than 5min away. Comfy beds with all the basics. Towel included. Bathroom would need some fixings here and there

The house is well located, in the middle of the old town and close to everything. The lady that runs it is wonderful and the terrace of the house with the castle view is amazing.
