- Anastasija (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gringobravo (10/5): Todo Tranquilo - Please do not come here and mess up how peaceful this place is. 😌 Please do not come here and party 24/7 and pretend that all of Mexico belongs to you add it's people are your servants. You will not find that here.
Clean. Safe. Secure. Welcoming. Tranquilo....paz. peaceful ✌️ Great people who act like humans and who treat you as such.
Respectful. Plants 🪴 that are green and lively because they actually care.... very rare these days.
This hostel has everything you need and nothing you don't.
This is not a place to go to party or act like the typical Gringo or Tourist. This is the place you go to find peace, truth, Kindness, love, and less mierda....
Enjoy
But don't come till I leave. 😉
Viva México Cabrones!!

- Leandro (9/5): Superb - Great place, it was very calm. The dormitories are very good, clean and well maintained. The staff was great, they were able to give me all the information I needed. The value for money is excellent, I recommend it if you want something calm.
- Stanley (10/5): I can't recommend this place enough. - I wish I could give this hostel more than five stars. The staff were kind, helpful, and accommodating. The location was perfect to access the downtown and go on tours, and the value for my money was beyond compare. I would have paid more to stay here, and will plan to stay again the next time I am in the area. The only problem I had was that the hostel was initially a bit difficult to find. It was inconspicuous, and the writing on the door was small. I can understand the desire for privacy; it might help to inform guests of how exactly to find the door.
- Ella (8/5): Very good - The staff were lovely and friendly, the room was private and nice, had everything we needed and great value for money. Good boardgame selection and a cute cat! Also nice communal outdoor space The hot water was a bit hit or miss, breakfast was quite basic (fruit and toast), facilities are very in basic and could probably do with a revamp but we were happy as still feel like this is great value!
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - Great value
- Jose (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean
Great customer service from Karina, the front desk staff.
- Wendy (10/5): Staff, comfort and value 100% - The staff here make this hostel more comfortable than it all ready is!! They are friendly and speak very good english. The breakfast included is a great bonus for the cost. Nice quiet neighbourhood with a huge park across the street. There is even 2 bikes available for rent!
- Nadia (10/5): Brilliant!! - The receptionist Karina was awesome, she was kind and helped me with everything I needed. …..
- Cong (10/5): Exceptional - it’s very quiet and clean, the AC is very good.
- Cong (10/5): Exceptional - it’s very quiet and clean, the AC is very good.
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Check-in was easy and they were friendly. There is a kitchen and filtered water. Everything was clean. The rooftop had a great breeze. The bed was a little hard for me.
- Ethan (10/5): It was wonderful, authentic staying experience and safe place to stay and keep your guard down. - the location was at an accessible place. people were friendly and i was able to make a few friends. i enjoyed my stay a lot and id probably come back to this place again. hot water for showers would've been a lil convenient.
- Bruno (9/5): Devil is on the details - Friendly vibes... Got stuck in the bathroom shower for like 5 mins bc the door lock was all oxcided
- James (1/5): Bad - showers cold and shower heads 3/4 blocked.
Staff rude and always hogging the kitchen.
Hardly ever any room in the refrigerator and they have a 2nd fridge but don't turn it on.
- James (7/5): Good -
- Dogan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Juan (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean & location
- Wendy (7/5): Good -
- Habtom (6/5): Pleasant - I like that the stuff trying to serve us better as much as they can. The facilities are not good specially, for bathrooms and kitchen.
- Gilligan64 (1/5): Nice & quiet place with the wrong people running it.. - I like the quiet & relax environment, kitchen is nice, safe neighborhood & friendly guests.. Arrogant, rude, disrespectful & only habla espagnol staff..also bad Wi-Fi that cuts all the time.. bugs all over the garden..got bites everywhere, mattress no good, wrap in plastic & bumpy..so not a pleasant or recommended place to stay & I will never return to this hostel..
- Oliver (7/5): Good - The staff was helpful and the hostel was sufficient and is a decent place to stay Just one or two staff members speak English
- Anonymous (6/5): Mediocre - Clean room. There was no hot water and the staff member that was on duty at that time didn’t seem to care about it and she was not helpful at all.
I find it overpriced.
Other staff members ( blonde girl and the guy were helpful)
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional - A new budget place with good vibe
- Andrea (4/5): Disappointing -
- Johannes (10/5): Exceptional -
- E. (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tomas (8/5): Very good -
- Larissa (6/5): It was a fair stay, difficult to get there but the hostel had all the basic facilities promised. - It was a cheap option, and the staff was very helpful with everything. The bar is also very cool. It's tricky to get there from the bus terminal, as the taxi drivers might want to cheat you with overpriced fares. I'd recommend being in touch with a driver of your confidence. Or go walking, if you can. The Internet did not work well in my room. The food in the hostel was not good, which frustrated my expectations for a Mexican hostel. No authentic Mexican options on the menu, so I wouldn't recommend breakfast there.
- Sara (2/5): I wouldn't stay here again in future travels. - Loud music until almost 3am, no respect for other travellers at all.
No water since we got there so toilets were not flushed and you couldn't even take a shower after a long travel.
The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable and the sheets were so small they didn't even fit the whole length of the bed.
- Carmen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maya (8/5): Very good - Staff was very nice, structure of the hostel was good, very family-like atmosphere, nice rooftop terrace
- Nicola (5/5): Nasty! - location near the Ado buses I didn’t like much to be fair.far too rustic, the whole place needs a huge upgrade. we have stayed in many hostels - this was expensive and in bad condition.
my ladder was broken on the bed. i reported it but it didn’t get fixed.
the garden was very noisy at night - but I expect this from a hostel.
the staff were strange.
it just didn’t feel comfortable so we booked another place on the isle of murjeres to break up our four day stay. this made it manageable.
- Giulia (8/5): Good for a short stay - Location is good. Some of the receptionists were nice and friendly No hot water. Kitchen is empty, I could not find a fork nor a plate
- Damian (7/5): Good - Helpful staff. Loud music until late. A/c works 24h in the room, but at night is too cold.
- Russell (9/5): Superb -
- Boni (10/5): Wonderful hostel - Very nice staffs, helped me a lot
- Rave (9/5): Great place to spend a day or two! - Staff and volunteers were amazing, friendly and helpful
Location is good, 10 minutes walking to ado bustation, theres a bus on the corner that goes to the hotelzone beaches. Fridge is a bit dirty, aircon is loud, nothing too bad
- Claudia (7/5): Good - I liked the atmosphere in the hostel, everyone was nice, but it's not that easy to make friends because people usually don't stay for a longer time in Cancún, mostly only 1-3 days. Nice balcony, I liked the area and good bus connection to the beach. If needed climatization is in the room, beds comfortable. Bathroom was clean Kitchen had just very basic stuff, some things missing, but was okay, fridge a bit dirty. No activities for travellers. I missed activities like yoga or games offered from the hostel to bring people together because many people travel alone.
- Sourov (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff and good vibes. I will stay again while I return In the morning there was no water on top floor washroom
- Альбертович (8/5): Very good -
- Audrey (10/5): Exceptional - Location, friendly staff, food vibes, free water
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Lukasz (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Lucas (7/5): Good -
- Pierre-alexandre (10/5): Exceptional - Nice value and the big + for the staff. They organize daily tours and take you with them to make you discover the place like locals!
- Florenciabadin (8/5): Very good -
- Mohamed (6/5): Pleasant - Friendly staff.
- Julia (8/5): Very good - there is a lovely balcony with a hammock and a kitchen (the fridge didn't work though but it should be fixed by now I guess) and a cute terrace with a bar, so it's really great to meet other travelers and the staff is also cool could have more toilets (there are one or 2 on each floor I think)
- Saray (4/5): Disappointing -
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Relaxing place with excellent food and wonderfull ounge patio with bar... Games available and cool music possibilities as well... Love the staff and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Venado Ocho!!!! nothing to not to like when you know what you want....Nothing to dislike since it is not a Five Star Hotel experience where people are rather....
- Edmund (7/5): Good - Generally very nice but there was no hot water in the showers
- Mosqueira. (10/5): Exceptional -
- Van (6/5): Pleasant -
- Zuzana (9/5): Superb - I arrived very late (1:30AM), the hostel arranged a shuttle for me , waited for me and trested me very kindly
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vincent (6/5): Pleasant -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - The location is very good, close to the bus station and the surrounding bars have good Mexican beer and live music. the hostel bar closes at midnight.
