- Grzegorz (8/5): Good overall experience - Friendly room mates and private bathroom in the room.
- Howard (10/5): Phenomenal they are such kind hearted, beautiful people here and so accommodating to everyone here - The staff here are phenomenal, they keep it so clean and tidy and the pricing is so amazing too. I ran a cleaning business for 9+ years and I highly recommend everything about this place. They were exceptional in every area!
- No (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anayat (9/5): nice enough for staying. - The host and the staff were good , they checked us in immediately, the place was clean and comfortable , the kitchen had good support, the restrooms were clean and cozy, the environment and position was goodm although a good experience. The position was not directly on apple maps so we had to struggle a little, apart from that all the other things were nice enough.
- Jerome (10/5): Pineapple Hostel is the BEST! - This is the BEST Hostel I've ever been to! Extremely clean. Staff works very hard. Beds are comfortable. High quality washer and dryer. Two huge refrigerators to store food. Wi-Fi. Large table to work at night. Little markets only a couple blocks in each direction. LOVE this place!
- Luis (5/5): Passable -
- Gurjot (9/5): Superb -
- Sakeasi (1/5): Bad -
- Neda (3/5): Poor -
- Natasha (3/5): Poor - 95% of people that stay in the hostel are Russian
The staff are Russian, and they were not welcoming or friendly. The hostel is dirty, and there was no WiFi for 4 days. And the shower and toilet are not working properly. The water from the shower is slow, and it comes little by little. The toilet was blocked, and guests put tissue in the toilet, which makes it difficult to use.
The vibe and atmosphere in the hostel are dead. Especially the staff gossip about the guests in Russian language because they know we don't speak Russian, so it was an unpleasant stay.
- Anonymous (10/5): Worth the money - The staff in particular the administrative personnel was extremely helpful. Property was fine
- Nerea (1/5): FAKE HOSTEL - NOTHING It was all a scam. The address of the hostel is not correct—you have to call them first, and only then do they send you the real location. The hostel is in an industrial area full of homeless people. A neighbor from the house across the street told us that the “hostel” is actually just a residential house where they cram people into tiny rooms just to make money. There is NO parking; it’s just the street itself. The experience was horrible—we were scared, and on top of that, the owner came out to meet us in her pajamas. Absolutely no professionalism.
- Leonjaguar (6/5): “You must smoke weed because that’s a weed bag” “you can’t smoke here only tobacco” silence we advocate for a group here - Hidden location/close enough to public transport The Ukrainian embassy despises 420
- Jerome (10/5): This place is awesome! - Place is very clean. Staff is very hard working and friendly. There is a Laundromat quality washer and dryer. Bathroom in every room. Two refrigerators to store food. Stove, pots and pans for cooking. Big table for people to charge their phones and do work. No eating in rooms, which keeps them clean.
- Áulide (10/5): great place for a very good price - It was a nice Hostel, easy to find and confortable for the great price payed. Maybe the Fridge was very full and a bit messy.
- Mohammad (5/5): Passable -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - The Layout and feel.
I was comfortable, welcomed and I was smiling. Perfect.

Close to 55 and other $1.75 bus routes.

- Jerome (10/5): Pineapple Hostel is a 5-star Hostel - Extremely clean and fresh rooms. Great employees. Fantastic washer and dryer. 2 community refrigerators. A bathroom in each room. A huge table for people to charge, eat and do their work. A very nice, working stove. VERY comfortable beds. A couple tenants tried taking up too much space, but they are dealt with
- Jerome (10/5): This Place Rocks!l!!! - It's clean, the staff is cheerful and you're able to cook and do laundry in the house. Beds are comfortable.
- Kaho (5/5): Passable -
- Jerome (10/5): I Love This Place - I love this place! Very clean! Every room has a shower! Awesome washer and dryer and fantastic, cheerful staff! Also, huge community table to do work on, 2 refrigerators and a stove.
- Bianca (10/5): Exceptional - Very safe + I think I forgot something there but they keep it 😍 . The other guests are calm, friendly and kind . Perfect for a girl to feel safe and for long term ! I liked the host that was always ready to help !
- Hiroshi (10/5): Amazing price for very good facility and a good friendly community - The facility is a very clean and fairly new building. kitchen, common area, bedrooms, showers are all really nice and well taken care of. The mannerism of the hostel mates are well managed, quiet after 10 PM. The location is chill Mexican community neighborhood and you have grocery, metro line station nearby. Everything was good. There is nothing to complain!
- Nikki (5/5): Passable - I really liked the young employee (unfortunately I didn`t ask for his name) who was very kind, cleaned the rooms and the kitchen every morning, was very responsible in his work, and was kind and respectful to every guest, inviting them to visit again. 1.A woman had apparently been living in the room for many months, and her belongings, which included 2 large boxes + 3 black bags, made it difficult for guests to place their bags and suitcases in the room.
2.The woman would not sleep att all from 11 pm tp the next morning, repeatedly moving her boxes and bags and making noise. This disturbed the rest of the guests :-(
3...Hostel manager`s room, the room was very dirty and messy:-(
4.The manager woman tried to charge me more for en day :-( Is it possible for a manager to not know his jobb responsibilities?!
5.It is not possible to sit in the room or on the bed. It is only intended for lying on the bed. Because 3 bunk beds have been assembled in the space where there should be 2 beds:-(
- Favour (8/5): Its a - The apartment is in a vantage location and easily accessible to public transportation. I liked that it was quiet and everyone minded their business. The free WiFi is a nice addition. Additionally, I liked there was wiggle room for checking in for people like me who arrived past the check-in time due to uncontrollable circumstances. I didn’t like the no light on past 10 pm policy a bit. I think everyone checking in should be able to turn on the light for some seconds to see who their roommates are or what’s in the room. Not a good idea to just jump into a bed in a mixed hostel, not knowing who your roommates are.
Middle bunk was a little uncomfortable for a tall person like me. I had not thought it’s be that narrow. Perhaps there should be a space indicate one’s height on the booking form so that one (possibly) get allocated a suitable space.

- Jerome (10/5): Pineapple Hostel Rocks! - The cleanliness. The professionalism by staff. They also don't allow people to walk around barefoot or eat in their beds, which is nice.
- Jaime (9/5): Superb -
- Chenxi (6/5): Good enough if you just need somewhere to sleep for the night, not ideal for a getaway. - The host was super friendly and willing to answer any of our questions. The beds were also comfortable enough despite being bunk beds. There was only 1 hairdryer located in the shared space. Because this was a hostel, the shared spaces were never empty, which made it a little awkward each time we wanted to use the kitchen. There was also mandatory cleaning every morning at 9 AM, which made things slightly inconvenient. The doors also do not lock properly.
- Igor (10/5): Would recommend to stay - Nice hostel. Management was professional and welcoming, settled in quickly, the whole place is clean, other tenants were polite. Would recommend to stay. The only issue was with google map showing a little wrong place. Asked a woman in the shop on the corner for direction so it's ok.
- Jerome (10/5): Pineapple Hostel Rocks - Love this place. Very clean. Great staff. Washer and dryer. A counter and table to eat on. Table is great for laptops as well. Two refrigerators to be shared. It's great!
- Will (6/5): It was exactly what I was looking for very inexpensive at the last minute. I was safe and it was clean. - The place was clean and everybody there was friendly and reasonable. The street parking is free and my car was fine, but I had to circle the block for 45 minutes to find a spot. That aspect was fairly inconvenient.
- Kayden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Naoto (7/5): Good -
- Jerome (10/5): Exceptional - This is a FANTASTIC place!
- Eckhoff (6/5): Pleasant -
- Adam (10/5): My trip - Wonderful suburban environment. I was satisfied.
- Lena (1/5): My anxiety was coming back to the hostel every evenings - The place is poorly located, not clean: sink + toilets doesn’t flush, shower is super week.
The worst was the staff and the people there that was execrable and disrespectful. BE CAREFUL AT YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS people still food and look at your stuff in your room.
- Jerome (10/5): Pineapple Hostel Is Perfect - Pineapple Hostel is absolutely fantastic! Clean, cool facilities. Laundry. A nice table to work at. Superior staff
- Yosuke (10/5): Excellent - Very good
- X (6/5): Sucked - The bed was comfortable I was the only black guy there, it seemed to make them uncomfortable. The house id full of Russians who clearly have been there for a while. I asked if i could get another day amd was told NO.
- Esra (1/5): Bad -
- Kumar (6/5): Pleasant -
- Siddiky (4/5): Disappointing -
- Zabolotney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kamerin (8/5): Great stay, had great roommates, comfortable bed! Fast WiFi that worked, nice yard to relax in, kitchen was also nice! W - The people were nice and friendly I was confused where exactly it was at first but that’s not the properties fault!
- Ahmad (8/5): Very good -
- Malasia (9/5): Clean and peaceful stay! Thank you for your accommodations - Easy to locate, friendly staff!
- Melissa (8/5): Easy on the wallet and available when I need it. - It was easy to find. Clean sheets, blanket, pillow and towel provided. No parking
- Maria (6/5): Pleasant -
- Reilly (7/5): Good -
- Melissa (7/5): Good -
- Trinity (4/5): Cramped. - Close to metro Too many people in one room. The bed space is minimal.
- Vitor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ivanka (10/5): Exceptional - Great hostel, clean, big room and kitchen with utilities, a few minutes to metro station, good location.
- Anuranjan (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was good & located in nice locality too! Bit away from city rush. Comfy beds, well maintained property, neat & clean kitchen area too. Would recommend to stay in LA! Nothing
- Jobert (10/5): convient place !clean 🧼 and very friendly if not happy then i don’t know what to expect better from a hostel - i really loved the nice and clean environment i was welcomed in plus the staff really made everything right so i can feel safe and comfortable + i meet people that where nice and friendly so far one of my best hostel experience. at frist i wasn’t sure about the neighborhood but when i went for a walk everyone was really friendly and helpful found a convience store couple meter away plus a coffee shop what would i need more😌
- Espinoza (3/5): Poor -
- Ibrahim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Moreno (10/5): It was amazing - Location Restroom
- Melissa (7/5): Hostel was a great value! - The quiet time in the hostel. The gated entrance and availability. The lack of parking. Street parking only, if you come later in the day you might drive around for a bit until you find a spot and it doesn’t feel like the safest area to walk if you end up parking a few blocks away.
- Ticco (1/5): Bad - Nothing. Very dirty, deceptive photos.
- Nadi (10/5): Exceptional - you felt like home really, living with your siblings and family. Really much appreciated i didn’t like much the neighborhood really, i was a bit scared to go out but nothing against the hostel!
- Klaudia (6/5): Not bad - Nice location and the customers was great. Check in was little difficult.Staff can be little more welcoming and kind .
- Patrick (4/5): Disappointing -
- Sergey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Besorene (10/5): Exceptional - Everything 🤩It was in a quiet area. Close to the metro and major grocery store. Very clean, organized. Everyone was friendly and respectful.
I have used Hostels before, but this one tops them all.
- Talia (9/5): Superb - Well run hostel with good communication, good price and clean. No noise and respectful others when we stayed.
- Min (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rana (1/5): Not good - The lady welcomed us was good Its not clean, too many rules mentioned there. Its not what its look like in photos
- Tizia (8/5): Good hostel in LA - Spacious room and kitchen It’s three beds per bunk and therefore they’re quite low so that you hit your head when you’re not careful
- Deivid (10/5): Good place to stay for few nights. - It has lots of facilities, is close to downtown, and even if you don't have your vehicle you can go everywhere because it has a metro and a bus station near the hostel, also the manager is so friendly. There are triple bunks so you can't sit up to use your laptop and there's not enough space in the closet if the room is full.
- Alexandra (7/5): Good -
- Andrea (7/5): A warm, safe bed on a low budget. Typical simple hostel, no frills. - Lots of outdoor space and large picnic table. Residential neighborhood. Bright, clean rooms. Smoking area. Respectful guests. Close to transit. One bus to downtown tourist spots. Indoor space is limited. Few spots to work on a laptop. No lounge area, other than an average size kitchen. Triple bunk means you cannot sit up on your bed on a laptop either.
- Arne (7/5): Good -
- Taegar (9/5): Superb -
- King (10/5): Pineapple Express - Nice guest, Everything was fine, WiFi worked really well which was important and included in the cost Limited Parking
- Wilcho (9/5): Great value hostel. - Great value. Great location for visiting SCU. Gated parking had an extra fee.
- Matthew (8/5): Would definitely come by again. Thank you Pineapple Hostel! - The lady for check in was very friendly, cordial, and to the point. It was my first experience with a hostel and went rather very well. The other guests were friendly and respectful of my space .
-idk if they were fellow guests or staff, but the other staff were very cool and welcoming.
- the price us amazing! -The property is in a somewhat safe spot in a declining neighborhood, but if your not wandering around late night you dont have any problems to worry about anyways.
-I dont really have no problems or anything negative to say about this hostel other than when i left one day i found my laundry for wash moved from my bag. Made me paranoid that people were digging through my belongings, but i think they were just trying to move stuff around to clean. It was my first time ever in an experience like this so it comes naturally.
- Hajdi (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): My stay exceeded my expectations. - The administrative person was extremely helpful in every facet of my vacation. She was courteous available and very knowledgeable. She always approached me with the biggest smile. I am definitely staying there next time I visit California!!! Thank you Pineapple Hostel!!! I undoubtedly didn’t have anything to complain about.
- John (10/5): My stay was so pleasant from the start that I immediately thought my stay wouldn’t be long enough. - Th location didn’t provide breakfast it provided something better, the opportunity to make whatever I wanted for breakfast. I was definitely impressed by that. I absolutely enjoyed my stay there. Definitely would recommend it to anyone.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ignacio (9/5): Superb - Everything Didnt have lockers
- Melissa (10/5): Great - I usually went out for breakfast. The kitchen had plenty of things to make breakfast with and plenty of space to eat. I had problems with my bank at home and the landlady was really kind and tried to help me call them. It was close to the metro station and so it was easy to get around the city. Nothing in particular - I was there in November and would have liked a second blanket as I was cold. The staff were happy to provide this.
