• Jimmy (8/5): - Une propriétaire (et sa famille !) très prévenante et avenante. Elle a même anticipé notre arrivée très tardive en nous trouvant un transport moins cher qu un grab depuis l'aéroport. Une perle de gentillesse, idem pour tout renseignement pour vos sorties. La chambre est très propre, rue très bien située pour visiter à côté d'un joli parc et de la ruelle avec le train. Après la chambre est petite pour 4 personnes et les lits sont durs. Mais excellent rapport qualité prix et possible de laisser vos sacs après le check out pour visiter tranquillement

• Abel (8/5): - Staff is friendly and do everything to help. It's good price to value ratio for Hanoi standards. It's really difficult to park with a scooter here. If you come home later in the evening, you should talk to the owner in advance because they gonna lock the gate after around 11 pm.

• Lucia (9/5): convenient - A lovely and kind host. The room was clean and great! We felt at home here. The location is great, its near old quarters and is near a bit supermarket! When checking out we werent given change for our stay so got overcharged.

• SHIMPEI (10/5): 快適な宿 - フレンチ風な？かわいいお部屋。寝具、洗面ともに清潔！2人旅ですが、お湯も十分足りました。静かでよく眠れました。一階にオーナーが住んでおり、安心。夜、帰宅したらオーナーに一言入れましょう。what’s appがあればそちらからもok。安全のため、門が23時以降は施錠されます。 エレベーターはありません。螺旋階段はかわいいです！

• Anthony (10/5): Bon endroit pour dormir. Simple d accès. - Un endroit pour dormir simple d accès et assez peu bruillant pour une ville comme Hanoï. La propreté est impeccable et notre hôte est aux petits soins. Thuy An est une merveille et est de bon conseil.

The room was really clean, everything was working properly, the bed was a bit hard but still comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The only downside was that the window in the room was quite small and there's not much daylight. Everything else was perfect.

She sent us all the information we needed,. including how we can get to the hostel, and offered to book a taxi to the airport. The shower in the bathroom was in South Asian style, so it was a pretty interesting experience to take a shower. The apartment is a bit far away from the city centre (around 30 minutes by foot), which sometimes can be inconvenient.

The owner is very helpful and caring It is not in the old town but close to it and just 5 min walking to the train street There is no sound or light isolation in the room so you hear everything from downstairs. The bed matrace was very hard for me but it's about personal preferences

They helped us from the beginning booking a taxi from the airport to the guesthouse for a very fair price even that we arrived 4am in the morning and she was waiting there for us. The rooms are very big and clean. They changed the towels every day. Good showers. The neighbourhood is not right in the centre so it’s quiet and safe. Anyway myself and my family felt very comfortable there and I recommend it 100%. Everything was good

• Kevin (9/5): Wonderful experience with the best host you'll ever meet! - The highlight of this place is definitely the hospitality of the owner, Thuy An. Before our departure to Hanoi, she sent us multiple texts asking about our arrival time, whether we needed a taxi to her place (she booked one for us because she said her taxi was cheaper), how heavy our luggage was because she wanted to see if we could have the room at the higher floor. Talk about hospitality! We was constantly updated throughout the journey by her. Upon arrival she warmly greeted us and showed us to our room. It was basic but very clean and had everything we needed - air con, hot water, soap, shampoo etc. There was a TV in the room but reception wasn't great but who goes to Hanoi to watch TV to be honest. While unpacking, Thuy An sent more texts recommending where to eat around the area and informing us about the supermarket that was just a 2 minutes walk away. The place itself was just a 20+ minute walk away from the main walking street and a stone's throw from the famous Train Street so it's pretty convenient. The stay itself was uneventful. The room was comfortable and we really had no complaints. If we had to nitpick, there was only one small pillow per bed so we had to ask Thuy An for extra which she happily provided. In the end, staying at NHÀ NGHỈ THÀNH THU felt more like staying at a friend or relative's place rather than a guest house. Thuy An definitely made the stay a warm and pleasant one. She gives going the extra mile a whole new meaning. We'll definitely be saying here again whenever we're in Hanoi! I can't think of anything to be honest. The TV's bad reception perhaps.

• Matej (4/5): Cheap solution for one night near to the city centre - Great location, just a few minutes from the train street and with easy walking (or grab) connection to the city center. We were able to come late at night, keep our luggage on the second day and the lady was super helpfull! Get the taxi to the airport if needed, it is about 2/3 of the grab price. Very hard beds, not functional air-condition and a lot of mould all around the room…

• Sean (8/5): Very good - Overall it was a great deal for a place to stay in Hanoi. We wanted a private yet affordable room reasonably centrally located from the attractions. The host family are super friendly and welcoming which made our stay more comfortable, the room itself is basic but all you need really. The beds were quite hard, however we are used to hard beds in Vietnam, it's normal here. There was no bum gun in the bathroom, only toilet paper.

We are currently backpacking and wanted a cheap private room for the night before a long travel day, this met all our expectations. Beds were comfy, shower was nice and hot.

• Ignacio (10/5): Fantastic!!!! - We rented the room twice because it was super good and suitable for us (so you'll se a doble review😅) Room is super big, amazing location, near everything and there is a supermarket in the corner. The woman who run the hotel and her family are amazing, polite and respectful people.
• Emilia (6/5): For a quick layover - Very close to the main train station, walking distance to the Old Quarter. The room was clean and a very polite host offered to clean it everyday. The only window was tiny and facing a wall so it was very dark and, due to lack of proper ventilation, wet to the point where water was literally dripping from the ceiling. The room smelled of mold and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. Keeping the A/C on helped a bit. I assume it gets better in dryer months.

• Shanda (9/5): Great place, great location, great host all equals great value. Would stay here again. - Our host was very nice, helpful and friendly. The rooms were just what we needed for a quick overnight stay near the Ha Noi train station. We had everything we needed, clean beds for all our guests, wifi and clean private bathrooms. The beds are very hard but we are finding that is the traditional beds here so, live like the locals! The more we use them the better we are at sleeping on them.

It was close to the main street but couldn't hear the beeps at night. The bed was pretty hard but fine for a couple of nights.

The building has genuine character, and doesn't feel like a weird Ikea hotel, as so many other places do. The owner Thuy was very accommodating and welcoming. The room was super simple, a bed, small table and bathroom. No ugly unnecessary decorations, which is totally how I like it. Very clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable, quite firm. On a really cool quiet street nearby some interesting government buildings, very safe. Walking distance to the "action" in the Old Quarter, and 2 seconds from a big supermarket and lots of restaurants. Thanks again for the stay, Thuy!

The room is modest, but it has everything you need: hot water, bed, towels, fan. The owner is very hospitable and kind!
• Unna (7/5): Good - The owner is responsive and very friendly and helpful. It's not far from the old quarter and it's easy to move around. The staircase is narrow and it's quite hard to carry big luggage upstairs. Towel was tiny and the door knob was nearly falling out. The owner had been to the room without telling me about it while I was out (it wasn't cleaning but a couple of items had been moved), which I didn't like. The floor was a little dirty.
• Robert (8/5): Great one night stay - Great value for money, we needed a one night stay close to the train station and this is perfect. Very simple in terms of facilities but the bed is comfy (pretty firm) and the shower is strong. The owner is very accommodating, we arrived at 2am on a bus from Ha Giang and she was still up to greet us and let us in. Air conditioning wasn't the strongest, but gradually got the room cooler. A bit out from the old town, better for those getting a train from Ga Ha Noi - perfect for us.
