• Jonas (8/5): Good value for money stay - Stayed in a spacious 10-bed dorm with balcony. Both the bed and the personal locker integrated in the bed were quite big too. Same goes for the bathroom. The location is good and the WiFi stable. There is no lock on the dorm doors so basically everyone can walk directly from the street into the dorm. Furthermore, there is no locker suitable for a big backpack. On the walls there is quite some mold.

• Jack (8/5): Highly Recommend - I had an amazing stay at Andy’s house! The staff were super friendly and the hostel had a nice warm vibe about it. The dorm rooms were clean and very spacious. The beds were super comfy and quite big too! The hostel is also a bakery so it always smells delicious in the common area. Not a very social hostel, so if you want some p&q from the hustle and bustle of HCM Andy’s House is perfect! Nothing.

• Aimen (8/5): It's a chill place, I enjoyed my 5 days stay over there! - Reading the reviews on Google maps make me think that I am going to the worst place ever, but when I arrived I really liked the place. The bed is very nice with a small closet and shelfs. The AC works all the day. The most things that I liked is there is a common space In the lobby where you can work or chill, with a big balcony. They have 3 cute cats ) and an equipped kitchen if you want to cook. I really liked my stay there! Things that can be improved is : painting the dorm wall, there is some mold on it, and it's better to change the bed sheets to other color better then the white one because it gets dirty fast.

The room is nice, there is a sofa inside and a balcony. The AC temp is good. Toilets are nice and clean. The common area is also nice, there are a few electric sockets and you can work on the laptop. • Yaiza (1/5): Menudo engaño - Nuestra estancia en este apartamento no fue satisfactoria. El alojamiento no corresponde con lo mostrado en las fotografías de la página. A nuestra llegada, encontramos el apartamento en malas condiciones de limpieza: había pelos y objetos olvidados, presencia de insectos y larvas en la habitación, además de sábanas visiblemente sucias. A esto se sumó que la entrada al apartamento se realiza por un bajo en el que había numerosas cucarachas, lo que incrementó aún más la sensación de falta de higiene y mantenimiento. Estas circunstancias hicieron que la experiencia resultara incómoda y poco higiénica. Consideramos que este alojamiento no cumple con los estándares mínimos de limpieza y mantenimiento, por lo que sería recomendable que Booking revisara la información y condiciones del establecimiento antes de seguir ofreciéndolo en la plataforma.

• Julius (9/5): Comfortable week long stay in HCMC - We booked 2 rooms for our trip. It wasn't as pristine as the pics but they were all clean, spacious and comfortable. The internet was stable - good enough to work remotely. Well worth the price we've paid. The bedroom with a king bed and a small kitchen was perfect for enjoying some take away food when the weather isn't cooperating. It was very spacious and a nice place to chill. The 6-bed dorm room had an en-suite private bathroom and came with 3 lavatories outside the main bathroom - perfect for the ladies in our travel group to do their skin care routine and make up without leaving the boys to wait. I also like the location. Very close to places of interest and very easy and cheap to get a Grab car. The staff was very accommodating. They were very considerate to allow us to do a very early morning (1-2AM) check-in. There is also a small cafe in the reception serving breakfast at a very reasonable price. I love their sourdough bread. None worth a mention.

• Pia (8/5): Recommend as a comfy and affordable stay in HCMC - The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Spacious bunks, good location and lovely staff. Not so much as a didn’t like, but wasn’t aware that there are no keys for the dorms, or to enter the building via stairs/elevator. Did leave a bit of a sense of unease that the doors are unlocked to the public essentially. Just something to be wary of as a solo female traveller. In saying that, I didn’t encounter any issues.

• Ayeisha (10/5): I will always book this place for my first few nights Ho Chi Minh - I booked 3 nights here from landing in Ho Chi Minh so I had enough time to control my emotions and get amongst the area. Staff here were simply lovely. One night I woke up at 3am after a night and order maccas, the shutters were closed because of lock out but the whatsapp number I called the lady came down within minutes. I felt so bad for waking her but I think that says more enough about the staff and hospitality. My room was literally the photos I seen online, I really enjoyed the nook/corner with the big chair, allowed me to be with myself, journal and recoup. Honestly everything I could’ve wanted for my first 3 nights in South East Asia Once you figure out the streets it’s probably a 5 min walk to Bui Vien Walking Street It’s not a social place, not a drama for me because of the reasons I booked, that’s exactly what I wanted but if you’re looking for a somewhere that’s pumping this isn’t it

Stickers peeling off the walls, mould on the ceiling in the bathroom, damp marks on walls and calling in bedroom. Kitchen counter covered in stains. Really loud, can hear the road all night. Aircon did not keep to room cool. Reception area not the most welcoming and smelt like house cats. Entrance to hostel not inviting, it is out the back of a motorbike rental shop.
• Sylvain (10/5): You can book it without a second thought. - Well, I don't often post reviews, but this hostel deserves to be known because : 1) The staff is really nice and available. 2) Single beds are made for 2 people. And I'm 1.90m tall. 3) You've got a personal wardrobe at the bottom of the bed !!!!! It is insane !! 4) Bathrooms are cleaned every day and always ready to be used. 5) AC works just fine and so does the elevator too 6) Location is nice, district 1, 10min walking from the main street of Ho Chi Minh. The only bad part is the "curfew" ... gates close at 2 am until 6:30am .. you can call and wake someone up to open you but you know... I just waited 6:30 personally.
• Suresh (9/5): Value for money - My stay was good, but there's not much social life here. However, it was clean, the beds were quite broad, and there were nice cabinets inside. The washrooms were very clean. Yeah, if you're looking for peace, you can stay here. But if you're a solo traveler seeking social life, this might not be the best place, as everyone seems to be in their own world. One good thing, though, is that there's a nice balcony, and, interestingly, There's a balcony for some fresh air. Overall, considering the price, this is a good property and a good option

• Yongjian (2/5): Very poor - Andy’s house is located within a walking distance of the major sites of HCMC. Close to the bus station and many restaurants. While the hostel looked cute initially, we were disappointed by the lack of proper maintenance. The floors were dirty and there was an ant infestation in our room. The most disgusting thing was opening the water kettle and to find over 200 ants in there ! When we brought up the concern to the staff, they simply showed no signs of apology and simply handed us another one. We understand that bugs can be a problem in old buildings , but the indifference attitude that the staff showed was simply unacceptable. During the three nights we were there , ants crawled all over the place and even went inside the fridge and on our bed. It’s such a shame that this is such a cute property with a lot of potential, but ruined by incompetent management who outsourced to employees who demonstrate a lack of professionalism. Ever since we traveled to other cities in Vietnam , we have stayed in some amazing places that hard more “basic “ hardware but compensated with friendly staff, cleanliness and professionalism. Please step it up!

Unfortunately the room we booked was not available but instead we got another room with a private bathroom and many free toiletries (e.g., toothbrush, razor, soap). You should try the milk shop at the entrance & you have the possibility to store your luggage for free. The mattress was quite hard.

• Anthony (9/5): A welcoming place to stay if it's your first time in Vietnam. - For context, I booked a private room! This room was well cleaned and spacious! And it's stocked with what you need for a long stay. A decent sized fridge, hair dryer, etc. The bathroom was spacious enough, though the water pressure was low so just keep that in mind. The bed was comfortable and I had no issues with the mattress. Sheets felt very clean. AC was strong enough that you could cool off in a decent time. My room looked accurate to the photos they have on their listing. The staff were helpful, friendly and flexible! They were flexible with my check in time, and patience when I needed extra time to withdraw cash to pay for the room. Laundry services are offered and priced fine. Cost is determined by weight (they have a scale they use). You drop your clothes off and pick it up later in the day (all folded nice and neatly). The location felt convenient, there's quite a few cafes nearby. And most of the touristy attractions are within a reasonable walking distance. The communal dining area was well lit, with a cute balcony. The staff sometimes bake bread they sell (?) I didn't have a chance to try but it looked delicious. Sometimes you might see their cats walking about, super cute bunch. There is an elevator! So you don't have to worry about hauling your luggage up those flights of stairs. And please take advantage of the taxi shuttle services from the airport. It makes navigating into the city that much more convenient. Nothing really!

• Kathryn (8/5): Lovely chilled out and clean place to stay - Dorm rooms are really clean and have great facilities. I loved how each bed had individual wardrobe and shelf space! It’s really quiet so not ideal for most backpackers, but suited us to have a place to chill at in such a busy city. The reception don’t help with tours or buses etc like other hostels would.
