Incluso en el anuncio y correo de confirmacion de Booking está claramente establecido. Como me negué a pagarlo, me dijeron que cancelara la reserva.

Y tienen unas manos increíbles que se reflejan en los platos. La comodidad de las camas individuales y las compartidas son un mil!! Increíbles, la ubicación del hostel es perfecta, en pleno centro de Salta, a la vuelta de la Balcarce. La dueña es muy amorosa, carismática y simpática. Los empleados son lo más!! No me alcanzan las palabras para describir que fue mi salvación!!

The location is great, within walking distance from main square and just one block away from the train station! you can easily commute everywhere, also, near the bus that takes you to the beautiful hiking route in San Lorenzo. If you feel like having some drinks, you are half a block away from"Balcarce Street".

Les salles de bain sont vraiment en mauvaise état. Ce qui est encore plus dommage quand on voit l'architecture et la déco de l'établissement; il y a un gros potentiel.

• Valeria (9/5): - La ubicación es excelente, podes salir a caminar tranquilamente, si contratas servicio de excursiones pasan por la puerta, tiene todo lo esencial para un buen descanso, dejar tus cosas seguras y lo mejor de todo es la comida, menú variado, alimentos frescos, porciones abundantes y riquísimos para finalizar un día de paseo recomiendo comer ahí, muy buen ambiente!

• Ana (1/5): Completely full and honest review. - POSITIVE ONLY IS THAT THEY HAVE WIFI and it is a somewhat CENTRAL LOCATION. The bed is FIRM and comfortable for those that sleep on their back. The bottom sheets are fine but the doona/cover makes my skin itchy and it looks so old and not sure if clean or when it was last washed.. The capsule bed space has a locked shelf so you can put your stuff inside and lock it with your own small padlock. it also has a curtain for some privacy, its somewhat sheer so you can see who is outside. the bedspace also has its own light and ONE powerpoint to charge your phone. no direct USB port. you would need an international converter plug. The showers have a soap dispenser but no liquid soap, its empty. no mention of towels or offering one. The bathrooms are OPEN, there is no DOOR, NO PRIVACY.. they overlook the restaurant and tables outside, the toilets ofcourse have a door, but are so so noisy and make an awful sound when you open and close it, needs to get fixed. One of the sinks in the bathroom LEAKS, the floor had water puddles when you turn on the tap. Its very uncomfortable trying to wash hands or use the tap whilst the public is looking at you and walking past....  they have an electric kettle but no mugs. they have a water filter for hot and cold water but again, no cups or mugs on site. tourists beware : 5000 pesos CASH for the KEY/ DAMAGES DEPOSIT. The bed i got given didnt specify how many people in the room. i shouldve checked! 18 people. 4800 pesos per person for one night. Keep in mind that this is a hostel inside a restaurant... the customer service wasnt the best. was kept waiting when reaching out to the hostel staff. They didnt offer to write a tax invoice or hand written receipt as proof I had stayed in the hostel and paid X amount of CASH - instead they said they would send it via whatsapp, which they NEVER did. They told me when i checked in that their eftpos machine BROKE and they only accept cash. yeah right! all business do that, so easy to say it broke and they get cash. they also use a specific argentinean bank to get their daily rates... i used google and i thought it was 3800 pesos, but she said no, its 4800 pesos... very unhappy customer. would not sleep here again.
• Roger9898 (1/5): Scammers: a terrible experienxe - Nothing On Airbnb, Google and via the phone it was confirmed that I could bring my dog which I need to bring since I travel with him. After the booking, the staff told me that the owner changed her mind and didn't want to receive the dog. That's okay of course. The problem started when I asked them to cancel the booking. Like a child they ignored me and didn't want to cancel the booking. After writing a honest review about that the place is not pet friendly, they suddenly replied to my message. They want me to delete my review about the reality that the place is not pet friendly. I don't think I can get my money back. Just a bunch of malandros who cannot communicate in a professional way and who also keep your money. Besides that, when you make the reservation via Airbnb, you can stay with your dog they told me. I don't want to lose more money since you're staying with malandros. In the pictures you can see more.
• María (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff, pod beds, and probably the cheapest hostel in Salta Restaurant is right in front of the dormitory doors and it closes by 1 am. Toilets are shared with the restaurant.
• Banan314 (6/5): Pleasant - It's a few squares from plaza de 9 julio, which is the main square of the city. Potable water was free from the machine and there is a restaurant inside the hotel. I had a scorpio under my mattress. It came out, I sprayed it and it went back underneath.

• Anonymous (1/5): Stay away from it. - Nothing. If you care about the quality, I suggest you to stay away from this property. The given room, with its bathroom, was full of mold and humid. The wood access door had a big noticeable crack by which made it hard for the heater to heat the room. I wish I could post images of what I describe here. We found a big spider in the room on top of the bed of my daughter. At a first glance, you realize that these folks don’t invest enough in maintenance of the facilities. In addition, a few days before arrival, but after the cancellation period expired, they called requiring a partial payment in advance to secure the reservation, which I tried to refuse since I had my card in booking securing the reservation. But they told me that if I don’t make the payment in advance I might get charged in US dollars rather than local currency, at a higher rate than the one set in booking. I never knew if that was true because didn’t want to take the risk. Honestly, I think booking should monitor much closer what properties are listed in it and what type of service the give to the guests. They are not cheap at all compared to other properties and the quality is very low.

• Martina (9/5): Superb - Nice quiet hostel, simple breakfast, very big rooms and plenty of space to relax just one block away from nice Penas - restaurants with local food, dance, and other performances. Definitely worth the little cost they charge per night ! :)

After check-out they let me stay for the whole day because my bus left at night. Breakfast is okay. Showers are not very comfortable. I missed a kitchen. I could only pay in cash.

• Chelsea (10/5): I would never stay anywhere else in Salta. I love El Chabot. - The two outstanding things about El Chabot are the architecture and the location. I love the building, patio, garden, high ceilings, etc. And I went to the Tren to the Nubes and Las Peñas nearby. No privacy in the showers. The tile work is pretty but nowhere to hang your clothes while shower or privacy when changing your clothes.

• Daphne (4/5): Disappointing - I didn’t feel comfortable staying at this hostel: there was a someone living in this hostel in my room, who was drunk all the time and his bed was also really dirty. So I didn’t feel safe. Luckily I could move to another room after I asked for it, but they gave me a top bunkbed that was really unstable. The manager told me to watch out sleeping in this bed as well, as it was so unstable.
• Jodie (8/5): Gorgeous place; a bit dysfunctional. - It's an incredibly beautiful old building being worked on constantly. The two main women at reception were wonderful and helpful, and the waiter very sweet. Happy for the fan in the dorm. Good breakfast included, tho when the coffee machine broke they only offered instant. Small tables for dorm people were hardly ever wiped off; garbage cans in the dorm were not emptied. They allowed a "local" (?) to live there & basically party loudly with his friends; he was up at all hours with drugs & drink - - I believe it was him who stole my beer out of the common fridge (inside my bag with other food!) Lots of mosquitos in the tiny boxes for the toilets for dorms.
• James (8/5): Very good - Very nice hostel vibes, good breakfast There's a few people who stay there regularly, and they tend to party and drink a lot, so don't expect quiet anytime before midnight. The beds feel like they could break at any moment. Any movement by your bunk mate feels like an earthquake. The rooms are stiflingly hot, and only one fan and no windows able to open in the first room. The bathrooms and showers are infested with mosquitoes
