• Mathias (9/5): jederzeit gerne wieder, wir haben direkt unserem Sohn das Hostel empfohlen - Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an einer Strasse, dementsprechende Geräuschkulisse ist vorhanden... Das Zimmer war sauber und das Bett gemütlich. Das Hostel liegt schön nahe am Strand. Das Personal war extrem freundlich. Es gibt an der Rezeption direkt die Möglichkeit Freizeitaktivitäten und Ausflüge zu buchen. Top. alles top

• Julia (8/5): - Das Personal war unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit und hat sehr sauber geputzt. Meine Kreditkarte funktionierte anfangs nicht und sie waren sehr geduldig und ich konnte später bezahlen. Auch beim Planen von Touen sind die Mitarbeitenden behilflich. Die Aufenthaltsräume sind liebevoll gestaltet und schön. Betten sind sehr bequem. Das Frühstück ist lecker und es gibt sogar Mandelmilch. Die Lage ist direkt am Meer. Das Hostel st relativ hellhörig. In unserem Zimmer hörten wir die Klospülung und besonders das Füllen des Spülkastens deutlich und das war besonders nachts etwas nervig. Die Klospülung ist etwas kompliziert zu bedienen und m.E. nicht sehr hygienisch - wir mussten in den Spülkasten fassen und den Stab nach oben ziehen. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber zum Schlafen ok.

Helped with booking tours and proactively made breakfast earlier to accommodate tour departure times which is a nice touch. It’s quite expensive, as nice as the staff were I don’t think it was significantly different to any other hostel offering at a cheaper price.

Very nice atmosphere, very very helpful, especially Mati at the reception! The location is amazing and watching the sunrise or the beach from the kitchen balcony is so nice. Also the breakfast was really good!

• Jessica (10/5): A fantastic hostel for a world class town. - We had the most wonderful stay at Chepatagonia. The staff are amazing, so helpful in organising well-priced tours and helping us get what we wanted. Mattie was very patient with my endless questions. The location could not be better, you can see whales from the kitchen at breakfast. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and warm. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality. The flush on the toilet took some getting used to and the shower was temperamental - however, the shower was fixed as soon as we mentioned there was a problem - so we should have said sooner!

Enough space in the room with lots of storage space for luggage and very comfortable beds. Easy to meet people. Nice courtyard where you can spend time. The kitchen and the common room are well equipped. Good breakfast (the cookies are to die for!). Great location, practically right by the sea. Restaurant, bars and laundry nearby. They also offer various tours and activities. I was there for 5 nights and would have loved to stay longer. Thanks for the great stay!
• Valeria (9/5): Great place near the beach, friendly staff, good for solo travelers - Staff members are very nice and help with all questions. They organized an excursion to the peninsula Valdes for us as well as snorkeling with sea lions - a highlight of our trip for sure. We saw so many animals and the landscape is amazing. The hostel itself has the vibe to meet new people, since the common areas are big and comfortable. Perfect for solo travelers. It is also very close to the beach and has a nice balcony. As a plus, there are 3 very cute dogs that will greet you! The excursions are a bit expensive, this is nothing that the hostel can influence since they work with an agency and they all have the same prices, but still important to mention. The hostel itself could have organized some more activities, I had read online that they organize an asado a couple times per week but unfortunately that didn’t happen. I would still recommend the place though.

• Luis (10/5): Exceptional - Once you enter the hostel you are automatically welcomed by a crumpy but at the same time friendly dog, the staff receives you and explains everything you want and need about the area and its surroundings. Volunteers, employees, and owners are all extremely friendly. You will find yourself eating empanadas or asado with them right after finishing your check-in. The hostel is super chill, and has rules like "kitchen close at 11 pm" but if you are not a moron and know how to behave, they will let you do whatever you want at whatever time. Cleaning is done daily, even the dog brights! PS: One of the best breakfasts I've ever had in a hostel (they have free Tabasco).

• Tomas (9/5): Great stay in Puerto Madryn - Great place to stay in Puerto Madryn and the staff is amazing! I had to leave earlier because of a change in my schedule, and the staff helped me a lot to look for things to do in Puerto Madryn. Thank you! The co-working place is also very nice.
• Eric (9/5): An enjoyable place. - The staff were super friendly and helpful with everything. Maty and Fedico were wonderful. They helped me plan my activities and gave me directions to places I wanted to visit. The kitchen facilities were fine and the breakfast was decent. There are many places to hang out and have your own space if you need it. They happily had breakfast ready early when I had to make an early tour. It is also located right across the street from the beach, which was nice. Close to many restaurants too. As a bonus they spoke English which was very helpful to me, as my Spanish is not very good. Nothing.

• Rashel (10/5): Chepatogonia and the very lovely people I met there will always have a special place in my heart. - The staff were excellent and very helpful in all aspects. They made time and effort to help me book flights, figure out my itinerary, and even helped me with my phone issues haha. If I ever return to Argentina, I will surely look to book with chepatogonia hostel in puerto madryn.
• Thomas (10/5): Excellent hostel and helpful staff - One of the best hostels we've stayed in on our 3 month trip. All of the staff were friendly and helped us with tours and reccomendations of places to eat etc. Hostel is clean, well equipped, safe and has a good breakfast. Highlight of our stay was going to see penguins at Punta Tombo with the hostel owner and people staying in the hostel too.

• Dan (10/5): Great location & people - Excellent location next to beach. My favorite cafe Casa Hulpe and favorite dinner restaurant Cantina el Nautico are both within a block away. The hostel has a nice outdoor courtyard and an indoor living room area. They also have a shared kitchen upstairs. The breakfast is simple - toast, cereal, fruits, milk, tea and coffee. The shared bathrooms are clean. But the best part is the kindness of the owner Frederico and especially the amazing Matías. Matias is probably the most friendly, helpful person who made our trip special with his assistance. Matias speaks excellent English too. They can help with tour info, car rentals and taxis. I will happily return! Nothing.

• Morag (10/5): A home away from home. - I was delighted to find an affordable hostel right next to the beach. It has an assortment of indoor and outdoor areas in which to meet new people or to do some work, or just admire the views. It is a restful place, and the breakfast is ideal. The staff are all lovely. They're friendly, welcoming and very helpful, which for someone travelling alone, a bit injured, and not very good at Spanish made an enormous difference and enabled me to really enjoy my visit. I plan to return soon because it is an excellent base for this area. Can't think of anything!

• Veranika (10/5): Cozy and well designed hostel with perfect location and amazing staff - Beautiful hostel with very attentive administrators and staff. We really liked the location as we were 1 minute from the beach. Sometimes we saw whales right from the balcony! The hostel has a lot of common areas: 2 kitchens, a balcony, a workspace, clean bathrooms and a very cool BBQ area. On one of the days of our stay, the owners of the hostel cooked a Chorizo Barbecue for everyone. It was a very pleasant evening! Highly recommend this hostel and will definitely come there again when I'm in Puerto Madryn.

• Facundo (10/5): Great location, staff & atmosphere - Super clean place - Hostel location is great, just a few steps away from the beach and within walking distance from the bus station (a 15/20 min walk). Staff is super friendly and was very helpful; they can provide you with all the information you need to enjoy your stay in Puerto Madryn. It´s also possible to arrange activities and trips to tourist attractions at the reception desk. The hostel has a really nice and relaxed atmosphere. It is a super clean place, rooms and common areas are cleaned every day. The room I stayed in was spacious and had a locker with a key provided by the hostel. Nice breakfast (includes hot drinks, fresh fruits, two types of bread, jam, butter, yogurt, cereal, homemade cookies, etc.).
• Thomas (4/5): Disappointing - The location of the hostel was fantastic and the staff were wonderful. During our staff the building next door was literally being knocked down with the adjacent wall to our room. No forward notice was given, or explanation while we were there. Also, no offer of discount was extended to make up for this.

• Jellyfish500 (8/5): Great place for several nights in a city center with a great staff - The location is really great and is close to the city center. The rooms are private, it's a bit unusual for hostels. The staff is excellent. They booked tours for us at the moment of our arrival. When we had an issue with night noise in our room, we were immediately provided with another more quiet one. Breakfasts are typically Argentinian - sandwiches with butter and jam, cookies and coffee with milk, muesli with yoghurt. I don't really like Argentinian breakfasts but they were good. It was a rainy day when we checked out, the host rode us to the bus station because we could not catch a taxi. Thanks! The bed sheets were old and worn but still clean. WiFi. I have heard it's common for Patagonia to have slow internet. I totally get it, it's not a country capital after all. But it was almost unusable. On the other hand, we never planned to stay at the place for whole days watching youtube.
