• Francis (10/5): Een authentieke ervaring op het Albanese platteland. - De boerderij is bijzonder idyllisch gelegen, in een vallei tussen twee bergketens. Het is een zalige en rustige plek, weg van de drukte van de overvolle stranden. Gjirokastër is niettemin vlot bereikbaar en ligt op een twintigtal minuutjes rijden. De eigenaars doen hun uiterste best om het naar je zin te maken. Hoewel de communicatie met de eigenaar heel vlot verloopt, was er toch een misverstand waardoor onze accommodatie eigenlijk te klein was voor ons gezin. Maar men kon bijzonder snel een plooibed installeren, waardoor we toch van deze mooie plek konden genieten. Eigenlijk was alles zoals verwacht. Maar je hebt vanzelfsprekend wel een auto nodig.

• Suzi (10/5): AMAZING - The farm is located in between the mountains with incredible view and this sense of tranquillity that isn’t found anywhere else. We loved our stay, the farm was quiet at night, animals make some light noise but it did not bother us at all and had a wonderful sleep. The family almost cooked us a delicious dinner which we were so grateful for. The hut was beautifully decorated and has a comfortable bed. Everything was clean as well. What a beautiful place to stay. Highly recommend!

• Deborah (10/5): Fantastisch verblijf om te ontspannen op de boerderij - We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad in het kleine huisje op de boerderij. De familie heette ons een warm welkom en is ontzettend gastvrij en vriendelijk. De communucatie over de aankomst verloopt via de app, wat vlot en erg prettig werkt. Ook overige vragen of verzoeken kunnen via de app gesteld worden, als er niemand aanwezig is of als je zelf onderweg bent. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien en het bed sliep heerlijk. Tijdens je reis in Albanië is dit een perfecte locatie om even te ontspannen, dit kan bij je eigen huisje of in de hangmat, hangstoel, zitzakken of stoeltjes in de schaduw van de bomen. Als je wilt, wordt er elke avond (uiteraard tegen betaling) een fantastisch menu voor je klaargemaakt met producten van de eigen (biologische) boerderij. We hebben hier ontzettend van genoten en hebben alle avonden op de boerderij gegeten en ons telkens laten verrassen door het eten. Ook het ontbijt was voortreffelijk en zeer uitgebreid. De verse melk van de koeien was echt het hoogtepunt. Misschien nog wel het aller leukste: terwijl je lekker aan je eigen tafeltje voor het huisje zit te eten, wordt je vergezeld door de rond scharrelende kalkoenen en parelhoenderen. Wij hebben deze locatie gebruikt om overdag op pad te gaan (je rijdt vanaf hier in 15 min. naar Gjirokaster, in 30 min. naar de blue eye en in 80 min. naar park Butrint) en savonds heerlijk te ontspannen. Voor ons vertrek hebben we nog een rondleiding gekregen van een van de dochters (van 9 jaar) op de boerderij. Ze heeft ons alle dieren laten zien en we hebben leuke gesprekken gehad. Voor het eerst hadden we echt geen zin om hier weer te vertrekken (na 3 nachten). Als we nog eens naar Albanië gaan, komen we hier zeker terug! Het verblijf is best prijzig, maar het is het absoluut waard!

They offer you a homemade meal and it was simply delicious. Breakfast was equally as wonderful. All food from the farm. This is a wonderful experience. It’s glamping as we would say in the uk. Go, take yourself a couple of beers and some bottled water and head there ( they will also sell you supplies). I will never forget my visit here, totally different. Follow their directions and you will be just fine ( don’t use goggle maps). Sh4, then Sh96, then stop using your phone. They have put up signs also. I was nervous about finding it but it was fine. Nothing
• Jasmin (10/5): Highly recommended - much nicer than staying in a town , the included breakfast is wonderful and the family are delightf - Beautiful quirky spotlessly clean little houses with views of the valley and just the sounds of sheep bells and chickens around- only 20-30 mins to Gjirokastër . The family are so kind and helpful , serving food out on the tables in front of the houses. There is air conditioning which was welcome when we first arrived . Both houses have a small fridge and in the bigger one there is a tiny camping stove . Everyone mentions the food because it really is delicious and plentiful- we had fresh figs and plums, eggs and fresh milk from the cow , homemade cornbread and delicious pies and salads . Breakfast was a feast! We would have liked to stay longer to spend more time on the farm itself . Nothing - it was perfect

Nice quiet location.... lots of animals on farm which we walked around to see. Had amazing homemade dinner for extra €27 for 2 people... loads of food & good quality. Perfect stay! Nothing bad about cabin or farm. Would have loved opportunity get more involved in farm work after reading other reviews. This was reason for choosing farm stay plus ensured arrived early in day rather than sightseeing so could spend as much time as possible there. However fully appreciate it is working farm so don't necessarily have loads of extra time for tourists all the time.... hence would still give 10/10 for stay itself :)

• Angela (10/5): Exceptional - From start to finish this 1 night break was brilliant. Good communication via WhatsApp from staff. On arrival we felt part of the family. The accommodation was so cosy and relaxing with only the sound of nature and farm animals. We were shown around by a young girl and her friend. We were introduced to the farm animals and shown a bunker. The lady from the house with the bunker even picked us fresh cherries from the rest for us to try. After reading previous reviews we chose to have evening meal cooked by grandma and it was all set up outside the chalet on a table for the time we chosen. All fresh food and they did their best to accommodate us as we are not big meat eaters. After eating the locally guy came over and made us a fire to enjoy the lovely evening. No matter where you walked around the farm everyone spoke to you and smiled. Breakfast was again lovely with all fresh produce from the farm and warm milk. The family couldn't do enough for you. There is always someone on site but you can have as little or as much contact with the family as you please. Would definitely want to go back to the farm and would 💯 recommend to friends and family.

As there’s only 2 cabins on the entire estate, it’ll always be very quiet and peaceful. The amount of times I hit my head on the boiler after using the toilet was a little annoying, but a minor issue only.

All the animals were great too and the entire family was just wonderful. Clean , tidy accommodation. Tasty home made food from produce only from their farm. A real treat to have stayed there. Cannot recommend it enough !!! The only thing I can comment on negatively was the dogs barking through the night. Didn't happen every night but such is life on a farm with animals :)
• Mara (10/5): Amazing accommodation - Our favorite accommodation on our Albanian trip. It's literally on the farm so you see all the animals, plus they have a dog and a cute cat. Make sure to get dinner because the food is amazing, everything is homegrown and homemade. The hosts are also super nice and friendly. True relaxation for the body and soul. Would love to come back! The bathroom shower is a bit tricky because there's no curtain so the bathroom gets wet but you have slippers to use.

Or the most amazing and cosy tiny house we saw in whole Albania. Or the food made by the family. Or the fire they made for us while having diner. Our stay at this place is definitely in our top list of things we did in Albania. Sounds corny to say that we wished we stayed a night longer, but we definitely wanted to stay a night longer!

We walked to the cafe for an espresso and the owner invited us to their house for Ouzo, we learned so much from her using a translate app. She gave us two bags of almonds and a bag of grapes. Another neighbor gave us a watermelon looking pumpkin as we walked by and little old lady invited us into her yard to pick figs and herbs. On the way back the host brought us cold beer when we were walking in the hot sun, which was very thoughtful. The children were fun to hang out with, took us horseback riding, made us catch bunnies lol and answered a lot of our questions about Albanian culture. The couch on the front porch and the kitty were our favorite part of the cabin. It was interesting to see the inside of the bunker and get a 12year old’s perspective on communism. It was a scary but neat experience to milk the cow. And finally the fire you built for us was perfect. Thank you for making our time here so memorable. Xo Leaving

Beautiful Gjirokaster is a great daytrip. 12 year old Valmira took us on a beautiful trip around the village and our kids could milk the cows and ride the horse. • Μυρτώ (10/5): JUST GO! - A picturesque location and house hidden in rural Albania. This family owned farm is run with total appreciation to nature and animals. You truly feel the hospitality of these kind people that are even willing to prepare home cooked meals for you. Couldn’t recommend it more it’s rare that you find such well made and beautiful houses. Can’t find a single drawback to this property.
• Katalin (10/5): Unforgottable experience in the middle of a wonderful nature - This place is one of the best thing it could happen to you in Albania. It is a lovely silent place where you can find your peace. The place is clean, bed and pillows are super comfortable so you feel like in a cocoon nest. If you are interested in some „life on the farm“ you can join the family and try everything around ( milking cows or sheeps, picking your own fresh fruits/vegetables etc.). You can easily make some trips around to a popular places or you can just stay on the farm and enjoy the place. The breakfast and dinner are just super delicious and fresh from the farm. Anyhow, follow Google maps till the last hundreds of meters (till you get into that last small lost village, otherwise google sends you at the end the wrong way) then start to follow the signs on the streets (Life on the farm) which show you the right path. One small thing: we missed a bit of a cutlery. But no complains at all. ❤️
• Annette (10/5): Perfection, relaxation, wonderfulness - If you have the chance to go here, you must. It was the experience of a lifetime. The family are absolutely gorgeous, the Nana makes the food which is absolutely delicious, the setting is stunningly beautiful, the rest of the family are so friendly and kind. We helped to milk the goats and the cows, to feed the chickens, and to thresh the beans and harvest some vegetables. And we rode Candy the pony. The sweet granddaughter Valmira and her friend Angie showed us round and were so lovely The accommodation was perfect, sweet little cabins built by the family with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would go back in a heartbeat Nothing. It was perfect.
• Markus (10/5): Amazing xx Pure enjoyment and relaxation in Nature - The unique atmosphere, being close to nature, involved with day to day life, seeing all the various animals, getting a wonderful tour and explanation by the younger daughter and the kindness of the whole family running this working farm. The quirky little house had some nice touches, was spotless clean with comfortable beds resulting in a great night sleep. Having 42 degrees outside it was amazing to have Air Conditioning too. Finally the food was just special, tasty and wonderfully cooked from own organic resources. We loved our stay and would book again without hesitation. ...the cute, but " demanding" cat being out of synch with the breakfast time......she was an hour early....

If someone likes communing with nature and animals, I think this place will meet their expectations. The whole family that runs the place was wonderful. We got a delicious dinner and breakfast made with fresh and local ingredients by the owner's mom. I heartily recommend.

South of Albania is the most beautiful part and the people are very kind and generous. We had a great stay thanks to Ali and his family. The breakfast was delicious and it was really enormous. It's also nice that the farm is growing and the brand new building is ready for visitors!
