Guest Reviews
- Eduardo (7/5): - La situacion Para entrar en la habitación escalón de 20cm.
- Jay sheikh (10/5): - -The staff are nothing short but amazing - we became friends straight away like family.
-Good AC and wifi
-Great atmosphere and style
we absolutely loved it The breakfast was a joke- very tiny quantity
I'd rather them offer a proper breakfast for extra money . but that breakfast was like sample tasting
- Cyrielle (2/5): Établissement à la hauteur du personnel ! A FUIR!
Hangulatos a környék. Török felszolgált reggeli volt, finom volt. Személyzet segítőkész .
- Khar Yhan (1/5): VERY BAD HOTEL - Nothing that we like We checked in at 9 pm something. The receptionist kept wanting 150 Lira from us and said because he was not supposed to bring the extra bed for us because we booked for four person room and the room has only three beds. We refused as this is not our problem thought. After coming back from outside around 10pm we found out very strong smoking smell and smell of pee in the room, we strongly believed it was a revenge!!! We talked to another guy as the previous receptionist went off and got another room three beds! Still the facility and cleanliness was not as described!!!!!!! Not recommend!!!
And also they kept saying we havent paid and after we paid we saw there was already a transaction from them, and now we have to settle with our bank because they don’t know how to settle!!!!!!!!
- Julie (6/5): -
- Daniel (3/5): Katastrophe - Lage Hat gerochen als wäre jemand gestorben im Zimmer, Sauberkeit keine spur davon
- simona (1/5): - Davvero sconsigliato.
- Darren41 (1/5): The worst nightmare of our lives - Nothing. It was the worst scam we have ever had. When we arrived to hotel, they said they have no free room and we were taken to an another hotel which I doubt have a licence to even operate. It was a terrible place with extremely small room. When we told them that we booked a family suite and there is no way we would accept to stay in this small room in a strange hotel, they said booking.com made a mistake and they have no family suite available. So, they offered us a standard room and refused to refund the price difference between a family suite and a standard room. We had no other choice than accepting it because we arrived late at night with luggages and did not have anywhere to sleep. Of course we left the hotel next day in the morning and booking.com refused to support us as we accepted the hotels alternative offer of staying in a small room. If you want to be scammed and left without accommodation during your holiday, this hotel is the best place in Antalya.

- Wendy (8/5): Very good - The staff was great and very helpful Especially Gem and the chefs. Gem went beyond his duties to assist us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Location was perfect. Just a pity that when we booked, a quadruple room was confirmed for 4 people but it only had enough beds for 3. When I enquired before arriving I was told an extra bed would be added, only to discover it was a stretcher with no matress not a bed which we were promised .
- Ingrida (7/5): Good - The hotel is very small, like most in the old town. The location is especially good, in the middle of the old town, everything is very close. I had to sleep for 4 nights. The staff was especially helpful, very nice to welcome us. Many thanks to them. Large courtyard with a huge tree, which will provide shade in the summer. Very hearty and delicious breakfast. The hotel itself is in great need of updating the rooms. The window in the room did not open, so fresh air could only enter through the door. It is good that it was on the side of the courtyard. There is no place to put things, no hooks in the bathroom.
- Sunil (10/5): Exceptional - Very good hosts
- Ronalde (7/5): Central location with good breakfast - Centre of old town; parking lot very close. Appears to be an old Turkish home that has been died into small rooms. Courtyard has two lovely old trees. Floor and rug not so clean.
- Partha (7/5): Good - Location of the property is good. It is close to the beach and the clock tower. We booked two rooms. During check in, we found insects (ants or bugs) on bed. Lighting was poor in the rooms. When it was shown to the staff, they said they have no spare rooms. They have shifted us to another hotel very close (1 min walk). This hotel had very small rooms. The rooms have TV and fridge but no power points. We found only one socket in rooms. The bathroom was pathetic. It was so small that one may have to stand upon the commode to take a shower. Fortunately, the air conditioner was working. No lift in either of the two hotels.
- Leobiz (3/5): Dirty place ! Give yourself a present and go to a better place :) - The breakfast is well served. The room was quite dirty. When I was doing my check in at 5pm, the room was not ready, so the receptionist offered me a tea and asked me to wait for 10 minutes. She went upstairs and basically just changed the bedsheets and gave me the keys. I went to the room just to drop my bag and notice how dirty the place was. It seems that they never did a deep clean in the room since they constructed it. One can notice layers of dirty on the floor and the mirror and windows were also disgusting. After I went all, I told the other staff member that the room was dirty ( I went to him cause the first one barely speaks English), he said that he would clean it. I came back few hours late and I am almost sure no one went there. I asked him to come up and I showed him the conditions of the floor. He at least mopped the floor but it was not enough since there was a crust of dirty. He promised that the clean lady would come the next morning to my room. Again, I don't think no one ever came. I have some pictures after I talked with them 3 times. Also, the hotel has a restaurant that loves to play loud music from 11am until 11pm. Good place to relax with the toilet/drains stinking and basically no windows.
- Jan (9/5): a cute and cheap hotel with a friendly atmosphere - The bed was very comfortable. The ceiling was very high and the room was big. The breakfast were great and you could ask for a specific time for it. It was silent and safe. It was all pretty old but had a nice vibe. There was a cosy yard and a terrace where you could eat. It looked a little run-down. Some things like high door steps or little doors made it harder to move around. The lighting was not enough for the big rooms. The furniture was not fashionable and didn't match.
- Maxwell (8/5): Very good -
- Crystal (10/5): Exceptional - I don't usually leave reviews but this has been such a lovely hotel that I've had to!
The hotel itself is a traditional old Turkish mansion, it's got a beautiful courtyard, a lovely balcony and bags of character. Breakfast is delicious and nutritious. I haven't yet had a main meal with them but it looks excellent.
But the real gem of this hotel is the staff, they have been so kind and welcoming and really gone the extra mile. My mothers flight has been canceled twice so we've stayed longer than we thought and they have had no problem accommodating that. I also am studying while I travel and had a particularly stressful exam to do. I sat on the balcony to do it while my mum made use of the room and the staff where so lovely, one man brought me tea and offered to bring me food. And then when the young woman saw I was still working at 1.30am she brought me a cup of coffee and a blanket so I wouldn't get cold. I then needed the room to make a recording so mum went out on to the balcony while I did that and the same woman brought mum a cup of coffee also.
To the average review reader that might not seem like a big thing, but anyone who knows the stress of remote study will understand these small kindnesses make all the difference and gave me the energy to make a last push to get it in by the deadline (time zone differences is why I was working so late)
I have stayed in many hotels, hostels and b+bs all over the world but the warmth and hospitality of this one is amongst the best I've had Nothing
- Craig (9/5): Relaxed & quiet, perfect location - It’s very old & traditional & the location is perfect in the cobbled streets of the old town.
Metin & his staff were very friendly. We didn’t ask much of them but they made sure we had everything we needed. Bed was very comfy! I think it needs a bit of love here n there & it would be an amazing traditional place.
There’s nothing I didn’t like though
- Xxx (8/5): Very good -
- Fleur (8/5): Good budget stay at the heart of Kaleici for not very demanding travelers. - Property is in very good location. Room was spacious. Very nice courtyard and terasse it can be viewed from. Staff can bring you coffee just right there. Disregarding some flaws for the paid price it was very ok accommodation. When we checked in, it took quite a while to explain that we are not going to pay in euros or liras as this reservation was already paid, i even showed him payment confirmation. He told ok ok but he kept asking for payment. We took couple of beers there, on the menu board there was one price and when we paid at the check out price became higher. It was impossible to close the door without locking it, this was indeed very uncomfortable. We had to take shower together in turbo mode, because there was not enough hot water for two people to take shower separately. The room was dark. I assume we probably could ask for additional light bulbs, but we didn't. The bed was strange it was put together from a bed and some other furniture so there was a huge gap between mattress which could not be moved and end of the bed. We solved it putting pillows from other bed and windowsills into this gap. But if there would be 3 of us, it would become a problem. One window could not be closed as well, it was kept closed by a pillow on the windowsill. Otherwise would not be a problem, but there was storm at the time.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haralds (8/5): Very good - The location is super. And the local staff is very friendly. Initially, we had disputes with the owners. Owners didn't seem to care very much for their guests. The staff was very nice though.
- Rahul (8/5): Very good - The location of the property is right in the centre of Kaleici and Old Town and easy access to Antalya Marina. The budget room hasn't got any ventilation. There was one window opening towards to entrance so it was not good for a couple
- Elena (3/5): read the reviews, very loud in the night, not for family stay - location is good, they also helped us with ordering taxi to the airport. since breaskfast starts at 9 (!), we asked for a breakfast box, they brought sandwiches in the evening we were travelling with a baby, and our room was facing the main street, where loud music was on till 1 in the night.
also hot water was not working, but that they fixed in 10 mins. just a sound proof door would make it very different experience.
- Ali (7/5): Good -
- Sue (8/5): Nice Ottoman Hotel in the old town close to everything - Lovely restored Ottoman hotel in the old town. We had a very large family room with shared terrace overlooking restaurant courtyard. 24hr desk. Aircon, wifi. We left early so missed breakfast but were given a takeaway breakfast pack. Fridge. Stairs to upper floors. Property accessible by taxi. Helpful, friendly staff Some noise at night from shops below. Lighting was very poor.
- Sylvia (8/5): Very nice place in old town - Location No opinion
- Wilma (5/5): The hospitality there could use some improvement. - The location was good. The door to our room did not close. We had to lock it from the inside or it would stay open all the time. There were no blankets for the beds, just a light bedspread. Breakfast was to be served at 9 o’clock, which is very late as we are early risers. When we would get there at 9 o’clock, nothing was ever ready. We had to ask for coffee several times before it was served and we were lucky to have our breakfast by 9:20. At check out there was a disagreement with the young girl there as she wanted to charge us for free coffee at breakfast.
- Arnold (7/5): Good - A homely feel to a home. Beautiful old tree with branches spanning over the courtyard It needs attention. Old decorations and old dusty pictures and niknaks standing or hanging around. Dead plants, etc. It needs care. Someone to love it.
The breakfast is the same. No attention to finesse. Small little plates with roughly cut vegetables clutter a very small table. Omelet served in the frying pan. Wish someone would ask me to run the place! 😢
- Alireza (7/5): Good - Location
Personall
Beatiful
- Hassan (8/5): Very good -
- Jeff (8/5): Great stay for the non beachy, history people - It was great to stay in the old town, and be a part of it all. Nice comfortable accommodation. Noise wasn’t a factor. Bathroom door height is dangerous for tall people
- Volodymyr (9/5): Superb -
- Petre (7/5): Historic house, offering some charm and close location to port the port. - The hotel boasts a fantastic location in the heart of the old town, just steps away from the charming old port, making it perfect for exploring the historic sights. Despite booking one family room with early check-in included, the hotel insisted on standards 14:00 check-in. When I pointed out that my booking stated 12:00 my concerns were not addressed and they repeatedly stated the later time. It should be taken into conidiation that this is historic house in the old city and they do their best to renovate it, however, for example, AC does not work well in a room and toiled was not fixed well.
- Mioara (1/5): READ GOOGLE REVIWS! WILL TRY TO SCAM YOU IF POSSIBLE - The location was alright, however it's difficult to find, considering it's in the middle of the bazaar. It can get very loud at night. At least it had air conditioning, however it did struggle to cool the room at times. They attempted to scam us!!!
Booked a room for 3 nights, however due to an emergency, we had to leave a day early. I tried contacting the property immediately to explain the situation, they said that they have changed the dates, however this was not amended on Booking. I have contacted Booking, who have informed that the date change was not possible, however they have contacted the property. I have not received any further reply from either the property or Booking, so we resigned to having paid for a 3 nights stay.
Upon check in, we have confirmed with the owner of Sari Konak that the checkout date was indeed the one we have initially booked, which he confirmed, however, on the second day he called and informed me that we had to vacate the room, as the dates had been changed. Mind you, we have never received a refund for a night's stay, or official confirmation that the dates have been changed. We informed him of all of this and after he had pushed that it was Booking.com's mistake, we held our ground. Finally, he, oh so graciously allowed us to stay for the dates we have paid for in the room we have paid for.
The rooms were dirty, the free, sealed slippers provided already had holes in them, as if eaten by rats, the bathroom sink kept leaking everywhere. The walls had holes and marks all over. The towels provided were also stained and I found the sheets to be slightly torn.
Also we have seen cockroaches in the downstairs "restaurant" area.
- Fernando (7/5): Good - Good location Poorly insulated from outdoor noise
- Michelle (7/5): Good location, friendly staff in Old Town - Good location in old town. Friendly staff. Rooms are fairly basic but sufficient. Probably unavoidable due to its location and not due to the owners, but there was loud noise until at least midnight on our 2 nights. We had busy days so were tired and could sleep through it.
- Giacomo (8/5): Very good - Very nice location and hotel. Probably the bathroom could be improved but for a short stay is ok.
- Kateryna (7/5): Good -
- Nuraiym (10/5): Exceptional -
- Houssam (4/5): Disappointing - Cleaness was mediocre, room doesn't safety, breakfast don't include coffee and milk.
Bad experience
- Sabili (9/5): Superb -
- Dr (10/5): I will stay in this place again, to enjoy the caring service of the staff - The vibe of the place is incredible. The room is big. The staff are very warm, welcoming , friendly and very helpful. I will go again to this place bcoz of the staff. The open area outside the rooms is very traditional and very romantic. Please put a low volume exotic music to increase the mood of the place. The bathroom has a slight smell.
- Zainabhm (4/5): Beautiful location but not recommended with someone with small children. - The hotel is located in the centre of the old town of Antalya. All the souvenir shops, restaurants and shopping streets were nearby.
Rooms gave a feel of "chalets". Wooden structure.
Only one of the staff members was very nice and always talked to us with a smile. We booked the family suite. Not as big as it looks on the pictures.
Room: Not comfortable with two small children ( matras did not fit the bed, bed was too high from the ground). During day and night there was always very loud music on the streets and you could egen hear the people talking. Rooms were cleaned when asked but after two days we found a alive coackroach in the room.
Location: The location was not handy with someone with a stroller (very heap streets) and also not for taxi's or cars (small streets).
- Jean (10/5): Great value for money - Great value for money, it was clean and location is perfect for exploration and cultural experience
- Carlos (7/5): great locaiona and value for money, - very central location , nearby paid parking, great value for money very old furniture, but you get what you pay for.
- Carol (8/5): Very good - Didn’t have breakfast. Loved the iced coffee. Cute old building.
- Mohammad (1/5): Not at all suitable to stay for a family with kids. - Nothing is likable. It is on top of a roadside restaurant at old town kaleici. Extremely noisy till late at night (heard sound of music in the next door bar till 1AM). The room smells stinky. There is no water in the room. No room service. The hotel owner took us to a tour company next door to arrange a day tour at Pamukkale, he openly took his commission from that tour company. The tour company “Kaleici Yayching Tour” was extremely unprofessional, they told us to wait at the bus stop for the tour bus to pick up at 5:30 am ; the tour bus picked us at 7:15am. Even the tour company kept us waiting at the entrance of Hierapolis Old City for one hour (the tour guide was not given the money for our entrance).
- Catherine (5/5): Passable - Excellent location, staff accommodating to requests
- Cheryl (8/5): Very good - The hotel served a very nice Turkish breakfast and it was right in the middle of Old Town. We really enjoyed the courtyard where they served our breakfasts. The mattress fell of its platform, and the shower head broke with normal, gentle use.
- Jimmy (3/5): Low budget accommodation, but for mid range price. Dirty and loud. Staff is nice. - Location Very loud. Hotel plays their own music very loud all day long until the late evening.
Also found a huge cockroach and bugs in the room.
- Ciaran (8/5): Very good -
- Polina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Xuefei (7/5): Good - Well loczted, near to touristic places; the courtyard is nice. the staff can not understand english ; the room is small
- Simau (6/5): Pleasant - Supportive staff and great location at the heart of kaleiçi. Good breakfast area. Cleanliness needs work for the place. We saw a lot of cockroaches in the facility. The room is exceptionally small.
- Sharoon (6/5): Not recommended for families. - Location is good. Cleanliness, state of rooms, pricing of drinks, breakfast etc
- Drews (4/5): Disappointing - Beautiful backyard, great location Room smelled bad, particularly the bathroom - there were a lot of bugs in the room and there is a bench right in front of the window facing the inner courtyard, where people were smoking and talking until 3am, which was quite loud and didn’t smell good in the room
- Maximilian (8/5): Very good - Nice hotel with beautiful courtyard. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. They prepared as an extra breakfast with no problem because we had to leave early to the airport.
- Izzati (7/5): Good -
- Ivaylo (8/5): A very nice place to stay, thank you! - The staff were amazing, they've cooked us dinner even though we arranged to quite late, and the food was delicious. They advised us on the travelling with public transport etc etc. thank you guys!
The location is just perfect, literally in the heart of the old center. The floor wasn't the cleanest, it was noisy in the morning, but for our surprise there was no loud music from the bars nearby, at least nothing too much.
- Johanneke (9/5): Sari Konak is an excellent place to stay, which we would recommand to everyone!!! - We will thank Galip, Oktay and Emrah for their hospitality! They were always very helpfull! They always help us carrying our wheelchair in and out their hotel. When we left Galip arranged a taxi for us. I forgot my mobile phone ,we already left by taxi and Oktay came running after us to bring the mobile phone. Thanks a lot, Oktay!!!
They are very honest! There is always somebody in the hotel, so everbody and also all the luggage was very safe.
Their breakfast was very tasty! Sitting everymorning in fairytail yard was a pleasant stay for a good holiday. Oktay and Emrah were serving the breakfast with Turkish tea and always a friendly smile. The hotel has a nice quite atmosphere for such a noisy and big an beautiful city. Sometimes you hear noise in the evening from the bars in the area. You live in the middle of a big city, so that's normal. They use net curtains on the windows and there is air conditioning. If you open the windows, the net curtains do not close 100% against mosquitoes. Maybe a good insect screen would be nice to put in sometime.
- Robert (10/5): Great location - Location was great. The staff were also extremely helpful. Would stay here again Nothing
- Wiem (5/5): Passable - Location Zero sound proofing : you can hear every noise in the street and of the other residents in the rooms talking so early in the morning.
Presence if spider webs in the ceiling lamp
- Matthew (10/5): A great place to stay for our short stay in the city of Antalya - Fabulous location and a beautiful building
- Dorothy (10/5): Pleasant - Hotel location, good breakfast, comfortable beds and room size There is no closet in the room
- Salman (4/5): We did not enjoy our stay at Sari Konak - staff was not welcoming and helpful at all staff and location
- Liezl (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (4/5): Disappointing - We were disappointed enough to move to another hotel after a few nights. Room was very basic and indeed other clients were correct when they mentioned the loud music and we were there out of season so I dread to think what it must be like in the summer... The aforementioned....
- Anneli (5/5): More or less corresponded to the relationship between price and quality - I liked the location and the smallness of the place. The room was clean it was a lovely little boutique hotel that badly needed a feminine hand and care:). Starting from dusting to making the atmosphere cozier with candles or other details
- Eldiias (6/5): Worth the money, but definitely passable - Location is pretty central. A few minutes walk to the port, a bit more until the nearest 'beach'.
It is inside of the old bazaar, so has a particular vibe. There is barely no insulation. We were staying during the last night of Ramadan. I could hear the karaoke, live music and just people singing all night long.
Bathroom and interior design could be better.
I can sense the absence of female touch in the hotel. It has everything you need, but it's just not right.
7€ breakfast -> I spent 150 liras for 2 people (2€ per person) in 5 minutes walking.
- Erin (8/5): Very good - Hosts were lovely, offered us some free turkish tea and coffee on arrival. Location is great, really close to the centre and old town. You can get the tram to the bus station and airport, the tram stop is just a 5/6 min walk. Really sweet little hotel and was a nice base for our trip. As the other reviews said there was a loud bar nearby which you can hear through the windows but I still managed to sleep fine so wasn’t really a problem at all.
- Frederica (3/5): Hotel in the Old town and old hotel shabby, in all adpects - The staff was helpful
The mattress was firm and good quality No hot water in the hand basin and very lukewarm in the shower for 5 minutes only
Above the hand. basin the light did not work and could not be mended no place to put toiletries or mug for tooth brush
The doors in the bathroom and toilet were shabby and did not close
No kettle
No cupboard to hang clothes or coat
Very loud booming music from near by bar till long after midnight every night!!
- Ekaterina (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was excellent! The personal is so helpful and kind! Thank you so much!
- Daria (10/5): Exceptional - The personal is so helpful and kind. Thank you for all.
- Prenci (9/5): Superb -
- Ya (7/5): Average place for 1-2 nights stay - Location is good, staff is friendly. Didn't expect the room is facing straight to the street, so it's a bit noisy at night, almost whole night due to nearbh pubs' music. So if you're a person who can't stand any noise while sleeping, it can be very uncomfortable.
- Jade (5/5): Passable - Breakfast was nice but starts at 9am so not very useful if you have a tour booked as these typically leave before 9am.
Location is good in terms of accessibility to old town and the harbour but is very noisy.
The room was a good size and beds were comfty but w Wifi was bad, only accessible in one corner of the room and the bathroom had a horrible persistent smell.
Very noisy
Late breakfast times
- Deepak (3/5): Not a good experience. - It was clean and close to the airport. I recently stayed at this place, and while it was clean and conveniently located near the airport, I was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. The staff’s attitude was arrogant, and their behavior towards us was unacceptable.
Despite smoking only on the balcony, the staff arrogantly instructed us not to smoke inside the room. While it’s possible they detected a scent, their attitude was unwarranted and disrespectful. It’s disappointing to be treated this way, especially when we were following the rules.
Adding to the frustration, the house rule of removing shoes outside the building during chilly winters was particularly peculiar. This requirement, while aiming for cleanliness, felt impractical and uncomfortable, especially in cold weather conditions. It’s disappointing when such rules prioritize minor inconveniences over guest comfort.
To add insult to injury, the next day I received an email stating that my stay at the place had been cancelled by the owner, claiming I never stayed there. It’s evident they were trying to prevent me from leaving a review. Well, rest assured, I made sure to leave one anyway. This kind of shady behavior only adds to the disappointment of an already unpleasant experience. No wonder the rating is good.
It’s clear that if the owner is so insecure about their property, they should reconsider listing it as accommodation for travelers. Guests deserve to feel welcomed and respected during their stay, not scrutinized and unwelcome. Such insecurity only leads to a negative experience for everyone involved.
- Наталія (8/5): For a short stay, or for lovers of night entertainment - great - Close to all attractions and restaurants. Unusual layout of the room, comfortable beds. The hotel is located in the very center of the city, so be prepared for loud music until late at night.
The bathroom was cleaned, but the surfaces of the furniture in the room itself were dirty.
While we were leaving the room for a walk, little red ants crawled into our candy. So don't leave your food in this room)
- Ammar (7/5): Good -
- Min (6/5): Pleasant - The room was large enough and located in the old city. It was noisy at night. I was unsatisfied with the meal plan in the hotel for it was not consistent with the description in my booking. In my booking, breakfast, lunch and dinner should be 0.10euro per person per night, but the staff said no meal plan like this, they wrote those prices just for an example, they only provide services. Eventually, we paid 180TL per person for the breakfast, no lunch and no dinner provided.
- Kheng (5/5): Not to consider during winter or cold period. - I was attracted to this property based on the photo in the website. In actual fact, during my stay the restaurant below is not operating at all. It was winter period and no kettle or hot water in the tap except for the shower Room heating facilities was poor.
- Андрей (7/5): Good - Location is pretty good. There is an area for chilling out. We were there in Feb, that's why it was cold at the room. The condition didn't heat enough.
- Pearl (9/5): Superb - Bed was amazing. Room was a very good size. In the heart of old town. Outside loud until 1 or 2 because you are in old town.
- Ahmad (10/5): Exceptional - In the middle of downtown but Very quiet place..
Good hospitality.. very kind Owner

- Julia (3/5): Poor - location it looks much better on the picture than in reality.
