Guest Reviews
- Marina (10/5): Warm Hospitality and a Great Location - It is a lovely house. I liked the comfortable room, soft pillows, and cozy blankets. The guest lounge has a cozy sofa and a beautiful view of the hills.
The host, Jullia, is a lovely lady. We had morning chats, and it was always great to talk with a local person and get advice on what to visit and see.
We forgot to bring an adapter for the British plug sockets, so future guests may want to remember one. Luckily, the host kindly lent us one, which really saved us during our stay.
We had a car and were able to park for free on the street easily, as there are plenty of spaces because most residents park on their own property.
It’s a great location — just a 20-minute drive from and the waterfall. Just keep in mind that it's a typical Irish tiny house, not much floor space to do morning push ups 😀.
- derek (10/5): Really enjoyed my stay in Julia's home...would recommend - Had a lovely double bedroom at rear of property overlooking large garden..in a lovely house with a great host Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): Great option for any traveller. The leafy environment is so lovely - The cleanliness, warmth of the house, the friendly atmosphere, and the accesability Nothing not to like
- Ahmed (10/5): quietness - location was good, I didn't have any breakfast.
- Yannick (6/5): - Manque d'intimité .
Pas d'accès à la cuisine.
Pas d'accès à la terrasse

- Thiri (10/5): My host Julia was exceptional in maintaining the property. Loved my stay there! - Location was superb. Very close to the bus stop and easy access for taxis. Julia was very accommodating and so helpful. I had a very good sleep and the room was warm and quiet. The neighbourhood was peaceful and I had an amazing view from my room. Julia even had a mini kitchen which had coffee, snacks and necessary kitchen equipments. Its very good for solo travellers or small groups. Highly recommended! Nothing.

- Rebecca (10/5): Warm welcome to a comfortable place - The house is opposite a huge park with 2 main bus routes into town either side (one via dun laoghaoire). There's a clean shared bathroom and little kitchen with drinks and breakfast. Small but comfortable room with good bed. Julia is a very friendly, chatty host. Great value.
- Stanisava (9/5): -
- dight (9/5): Loved it, there's a sauna at killiney beach. So a great way to finish my stay with a cold dip - It's a great location, arriving really open space and there’s a cafe next to Tesco (10 minutes down the road) that cooks a great breakfast. At a really good price. The bus driver wasn't helpful, I got to the last stop and didn't know were i was. When I asked for some directions, she just said you have to use Google maps. Nice touch 🤨
- paul (9/5): -
- Nihat (9/5): -
- Wendy (10/5): Pleasant - Convenient location
- Angela (10/5): Lovely spot across from a lovely park. Enjoyed my stay! - Location and cleanliness. Dog friendly big plus! Nothing

- Stephan (3/5): Rude landlady, cramped conditions. Julia was too unfriendly, the room was too narrow for two adults - We were attracted by the location and the very appealing exterior appearance of the establishment. The bathroom was in a very good condition and had obviously been completely redone. The breakfast cannot be called a breakfast in the classical sense. There was the possibility to heat up water so that one could have hot tea or hot coffee. Then there were also some cereals or cornflakes and some milk available, which we didn't touch however. We brought our own instant coffee. On the counter surface in the 'kitchen' there was a leaf from a shrub or a tree. That didn't make a very friendly impression. On the first breakfast day, the spoons were missing, on another breakfast day, one of the two cups that were there was still dirty on the inside. Julia, that's apparently the name of the owner and landlady, was extremely unfriendly. During our entire fourteen-day Ireland round trip, we didn't experience so much unfriendliness.
The bathroom was a shared bathroom. And the landlady used the shower, maybe also the toilet, during the times we weren't in the house. Or also in the mornings. Once it happened that she was showering. And so we had to wait.
One morning she cleaned her blue car interior using a vacuum cleaner. The car was parked very close to the entrance of the house, and the car's floor mats were lying between the door of the house and the car, so that one could barely get by.
One evening we came home and the front door couldn't be opened because her key was stuck in it. The landlady knew that we weren't in the house. And she said, she had simply forgotten to remove her key.
On the day of departure, we had our breakfast. And meanwhile the used towels from the first floor (bathroom) were already being moved to the ground floor. In doing so, she also threw some towels - accidentally or intentionally - we don't know which - at us. It wasn't exactly amusing for us. Moreover, we could neither wash our hands nor brush our teeth, or freshen up after breakfast, and had to leave like that.
The photos that were published on booking.com were apparently taken from inside the house, but attention: the photos of the room that was rented to us can only be found from the image 23 onwards (state 09/01/25) on the booking.com homepage. The room that was rented to us is extremely narrow, so that there is perhaps only half a meter between the two beds. There is also a wardrobe and a very small table, but there is basically no space to put down the suitcases. For two people, for two adults, it is simply too cramped and too narrow in this room.
- Sile (10/5): Comfortable and Connected. Cosy and contented. - I liked how friendly and helpful the hostess was and made friends with the other guests and intend to meet up again next year. It was quiet at night and the bed and the room was very comfortable. There was a self-service breakfast in the lounge- living room which I liked. The venue was great - I had a wonderful view of the park and the Dublin hills and it was very close to bus routes, etc. I hope to come back at some stage again.
Thank you Julia
- Andrew (7/5): -
- Parul (6/5): - Location was really good, clean washroom and room Tiny twin sharing room, we had to use the space outside our room to open luggage. Basic necessity in kitchen was missing - no water tap/sink in kitchen. We had to depend on host for water (We received after asking though)
No induction/gas in kitchen.
- Graham (9/5): - Very nice . Will come again
- Benjamin (8/5): -
- mary (8/5): Stayed 4 nights. Tea and coffee available as well as toiletries at no charge. Lovely host. - The accomodation was good for transport links and easy to find. The accomodation was exceptionally clean and the host very friendly and welcoming. I have no complaints about this accomodation and would return here again when I travel to Dublin again Can't say anything was bad .
- Horton (10/5): Wonderful! - Julia is a wonderful person and an amazing conversationalist. She was so accommodating to me and my fur baby as we navigated moving to Ireland and looking for a place to live. I found her home to be inviting and an exceptional place to relax. The rooms were wonderful! Clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast nook downstairs was great to be able to sit and enjoy a morning coffee. Absolutely consider booking with Julia in the future!
- Trish (7/5): Good -
- Jim (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Josh (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very friendly and extremely helpful. Bus stop just round the corner which made getting into town really easy. Nearby Tesco made it easy to get set up.
- Ryan (10/5): Great value, great location, great host - The host Julia was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very neat and tidy and the location was great. Nothing

- Elaina (10/5): Ideally located close to excellent community facilities. - Excellent location

- Wojciech (10/5): Exceptional - Great welcoming atmosphere!
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Costanza (8/5): Nice house situated in a quiet area, easily connect to the center of Dublin. -
- Carmen (10/5): Exceptional - very nice property outside of Dublin, clean and comfortable :)
- Jerry (8/5): Good price and cute house. - Nice lady. Cute place. The WiFi isn’t very good and it takes an hour by car to the center and 1 hour 20 minutes by a combo of bus, train and foot. The house is only 13km from the center, but the public transport is is a mess in Dublin.
- Neil (10/5): Relaxing and pleasant - Excellent facilities, very generous host
- Mclaughlin (10/5): Very grateful for Julia letting me stay and her hospitality was brilliant - The rooms were very cosy and it’s very quiet N/A
- Shelley (3/5): Wouldn’t stay again. - Close to transport Staff talked too much. Stairs. No kitchen available with water. Just a pokey room with fridge , kettle and no water. Don’t know how it passed actually.
- Gordon (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location. If you have a car you can park in the quiet street. If you rely on public transport the bus stop is a few minutes walk away - buses to Dun Laoghaire centre and Dart Station and buses to the centre of Dublin. Shops and cafes are a few minutes walk away. Nothing.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - Room was very cosy and clean, peaceful location. Julia is an extremely kind and helpful host who went out of her way to help us in whatever we needed.
- Aine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joann (7/5): Good -
- Mihnea (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly owner. Great facilities, nicely decorated. Great price for Dublin area. Was located very close to where I needed it to be. Ample parking space on the street in front of the house. Nothing really.
- Pascal (10/5): I had a three-day stay made fantastic by the exceptional hospitality of Julia. -
- Clare (10/5): Perfect - Felt like being at home, had everything I needed and Julia is a lovely host. Nothing
- George (10/5): Very pleasant. The owner of the property was most accommodating. - Very nice neighbourhood in a nice location. Nothing.
- Yuchen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katelyn (10/5): Exceptional - The stay was very accommodating. Julia the host was very nice, thoughtful and willing to talk and tell stories. It was a great stay in the middle of our journey through the UK.
- Nataliia (10/5): Exceptional - Staying at this accommodation was amazing! Especially due to the hospitality and generosity of Julia (the host). She tried to make our staying there as good as possible. The rooms in the house are not big but very cosy. The location is quite good, there is a supermarket in 5-7 minutes walk, and a direct bus to the city centre.
In general, we had a great experience meeting Julia and leaving at her house. Definitely recommend this accommodation to people travelling to Dublin!
- Enora (10/5): Everything was just perfect!!! Thank you! - My parents’ stay at the house was splendid, according to them the room was perfect and very comfy, and the overall state of the place was spotless. Thank yourself!!! Everything was perfect!! :)
- Eastlake (8/5): Very good -
- Sheila (10/5): Exceptional - A really really welcoming, kind and helpful host. Exceptionally clean, and comfortable place to stay while I attended a conference in the busy city center! A lovely guest lounge space meant I could relax and enjoy tea, coffee, snacks, before heading out in the morning and on my return in the evening!
Easy to travel in/out from the city center on bus routes 7/7a bus from O'Connell st, or the Luas line a short car journey from the property.
God willing, I'll definitely request to stay again when I have to be back in Dublin for business or pleasure in the future!! Nothing at all!!
- Melanie (8/5): Bright n cheery - Friendly hostess, convenient location, pretty room and comfortable beds.
- Loy (1/5): Bad - The location was good and it was a quiet place which I enjoyed very much and it was close to where some of my family live so it was easy for me to visit them. The place wasn't clean. And I was not made welcome I was treated badly this person wasn't nice to to me. I have stayed at other places which were better. I was very disappointment as I was looking forward to staying there. There were things that was supposed to be available to guests which were not. she said to me that she shouldn't let people stay in her home. and I agree with her. the people who open their homes to others need to be helpful to their guests and nice as well. she needs to up date her website I told her that. I don't know what problem she had with me. no one else where I stayed had a problem with me.I would not recommend anyone staying there. I will not go back again.
- Clive (9/5): Superb - Spotlessly clean in all areas, looked after by a friendly, hardworking landlady who responded to all messages really quickly. Nice quiet residential area with travel options into the city and handy for local parkruns.
- Skye (10/5): Loved it! - I had the absolute best time staying at Julia's place! :) The room is lovely and clean with a super comfy bed (I was out like a light!), and it has a real pretty view. The bathroom is spotless and the shower is amazing! There's also a guest lounge which is cosy and comfy to sit in, equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, along with a microwave, fridge, etc. The wi-fi is superb. The house is in a beautiful quiet location that is well-connected to the local buses. There's a park across the road, giving awesome views. There are two bus stops a couple of minutes walk away in either direction that takes you straight to the coast or the city centre. The local Tesco is only a short walk away too, which also has other shops and takeaways around it.Julia is the most wonderful hostess! She is ever so friendly and kind, and you can have the loveliest of chats with her. I felt right at home, it was like staying with a friend that I've known for ages. She answers every question, makes you feel comfortable, and is always there to offer a helping hand. You'll not regret staying here, it's absolutely exceptionally fabulous! :)
- Vargas (10/5): Beautiful, comfortable and clean. - the room is beautiful. It is clean, has lots of light and an incredible view of the garden. The bathroom is also beautiful and clean. Julia is very kind, cheerful and she always answers your questions with patience. Dublin doesn't have a subway. Only train (in a few areas), tram and bus, so it is a little far from the city center. but very well connected by bus, so that is not a problem. She welcomes you with drinking water and fruits in the room. I really enjoyed being there. Julia worries that you are well, she is very sensitive and peaceful. During my stay there, a slightly disrespectful couple arrived, who canceled their stay there and left a bad comment about her and her house. She was a little disappointed, I can only say that Julia is a very good person, calm and respectful. Obviously it's her house and she makes the rules (you have to take off your shoes to walk inside the house, like in many houses in Europe, it's a cultural thing). I recommend it 100% very comfortable and very clean. :)
- Desmond (10/5): Very pleasant, no interference in what I was doing or not doing. Yes, I would stay with Julia again. - I think coffee / tea were available, and perhaps breakfast, though I did not avail myself of any breakfast items. Very Quiet, indoors and out, so I had real rest and good sleep. Street parking was available, and on a low traffic road. I do not actually have any complaints !!
- Sandie (10/5): Exceptional - Julia keeps the accommodation very clean. Beautiful view from my room. She was very helpful and kind. The location and price suited me very well.
- Catherine (10/5): A wonderful stay at Julia's comfortable and cosy home! - Julia is a wonderful hostess, so welcoming. She was so helpful from start to finish. My room was very comfortable, and the desk was very useful as I had evening work to do most evenings during my stay. WiFi was also very strong. Lovely, clean accomodation, and the shower pressure was perfect! I will definitely be staying again. The location was perfect too, very accessible. Thanks again Julia.
- Ranbir (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean amd organised, the host was very friendly
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was excellent great place to stay
- Harry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ann (9/5): Superb - Comfy room, quiet and clean, friendly and accommodating host, easy access to the bus routes, privacy
- Megan (9/5): Superb -
- Silvia (9/5): Superb - Great place to explore Ireland...bus stop 4 mins away...went to Bray seacoast town (great food & guiness @ Harbor Bar) and from there took Kevin bus to Wicklow mountains - Glendalough lake which was amazing- would recommend that for nature lovers...definitely would recommend to buy leap card for traveling to Dublin and around..enjoyed morning coffee & evening tea
- Mathieu (10/5): Wonderful - Amazing house and delightful host!
- Gerald (10/5): A home away from home for an incredible value! - A warm welcome from a very friendly hostess. Very clean and comfortable with a brand-new bathroom. Beds and ample bedding ensured a full night's sleep. Peaceful location away from the zoo of Dublin but an easy bus ride to the action. A sanctuary! I liked everything.
- Didier (3/5): 300 € for 0 night - The person answered rapidly. When I realized it was very far away from Dublin (more than one hour public transportation says Google maps, the person pretended 30 minutes), I had to take another hotel. I tried to cancel, but since I was a few hours too late (less than one day), I was charged for the full 4 days where one day was logical. ((Remark in a firs version I wrote I think I was charged 400 € in place of 300 €, but this was a mistake of mine)). I introduced a complaint (first time I ever did so since about 10 years I use Booking), but I am still waiting for an answer ((Booking is making automated answers not helping, I had to call)).
- Alicja (9/5): Very pleasant, definitely would want to come again. - Julia was lovely and very welcoming. I liked the room and very appreciated that I could use the properties' kettle and microwave. -
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional - The room was spotless and well appointed. The bed was super comfortable and well needed as the training course I was on was quite strenuous. The host was super helpful and very friendly. Overall a great stay and would definitely avail again.
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional - The host is remarkable friendly, helpful and courteous. We’ve had real interesting conversations and staying at this charming place enriched my stay in Ireland.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Julia was a wonderful host, really friendly with lots of information and lovely to speak to. She made us feel hugely welcome along with her lovely dog Bonnie. The house is near a beautiful park with my daughter who loved it and is close to public transport.
We slept so well. The beds were super comfy and the house was quiet and peaceful.
Julia was exceptionally kind and it felt like staying with your favourite Aunty! Thank you so much for our brilliant stay. Nothing we didn't like. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Riikka (10/5): Exceptional - 10/10, wonderful homestay! Thank You, lovely Julia.
Great bed, linen, towels, pillows. Pretty bathroom. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fridge for visitors.
Great for everyone who appreciates a homely bed&breakfast.
- Keval (6/5): Pleasant - Room is good and pretty. But this is good for a leisure purpose not for business. This is a home stay. I would think again for leisure as well as it is far from city and Bray beach. The owner was rude and biased because she had a previous bad experience from a Indian guy. Location is far for someone who is new to Dublin and not much restaurants. Expect this is as a home stay where you have to share bathroom and other rooms.
- Dean (10/5): Absolutely fantastic - Everything, i was made to feel very welcome and julia the owner couldn’t do enough for me ,
