Guest Reviews
- Anita (10/5): Exceptional - The room waa basic clean and comfortable I prefer an en suitr but for tye price anf location it was an ideal place for a decent nights sleep
- Simeon (7/5): Great value for the money we paid! - Staff was good and the location was perfect! Lots of pubs nearby, 10 min walk from the underground and 15 min walk from Portobello market. There was mold on the walls and the rooms were a bit cold. Otherwise sheets were clean and bed was comfortable.
- Kriszda (6/5): Pleasant -
- Abes (8/5): Very good -
- George (5/5): You get what you pay for. Pray for hot water. - It is what you'd expect. Walls quite thin - and neighbours can be noisy. Room had strong smell - which I found unpleasant - but that's what windows are for I guess. Kitchen is great (and has a nice view)! Oh and *make sure you're at the right door* there are many doors nearby and Google Maps drops you off a few doors down. Hot water for shower on first night, and then no hot water for the next 3 days.. not really acceptable but sh*t happens.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good - Close to nothing hill Share bathroom
- Roselli (7/5): Good -
- Signe (3/5): Poor - The check-in was fairly easy. There were dark spotted areas in the bathroom and the room. It was not clean (not the room or the bathroom). The tightly rolled towels were damp and therefore smelled funky. So I used a tee-shirt for wiping hands and face. The area did not feel very safe traveling alone.
- David (5/5): Passable -
- Sandra (2/5): Not comfortable at all unfortunately - Nothing really Too small. I felt suffocated . It looks bigger on the pictures . Too loud even though the window was closed . The locks were annoying to use .

- Una (6/5): Dirty and not cozy, especially toilet. Smelly. Bedrooms has nothing and the bedding was quite dirty. Maybe it was reason - Dirty and not cozy, especially toilet. Smelly. Bedrooms has nothing and the bedding was quite dirty. Maybe it was reasonable with the price but I just had an experience of a good room with the same price at another host with better location.
- Belén (8/5): Nice - Easy access to underground.
All was correct, the bathroom was crean and also the room. Was not the room i reserved.
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Alice (7/5): Good -
- Nan (8/5): Good location close to metro station! - The location was super convenient (a few minutes walk from train station), the staff was very kind and allowed us an early checkup (as given circumstances allow it), while the shared bathroom could get a bit busy sometimes, the rest was very convenient. Self check in and out available! I do recommend for the budget-price.
- Laura (4/5): It was near work. - I liked the wi-fi connection The bathroom had black mould around edgings of floor tiles. The bedroom floor was not clean and the walls needed repainting. The mirror had large crack. Only one plug outlet.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and just a great stay, A+
- Christian (6/5): Pleasant -
- Olugbenga (9/5): I love the place. Calm and conducive to be honest. - The neatness. Nothing
- Courtney (4/5): Disappointing -
- Gabby (6/5): Pleasant -
- Hatem (1/5): Bad -
- Hatem (1/5): Bad -
- Joachim (1/5): terrible, definitely do not recommend - i was sent a video which was unavailable, the directions to where the keys were located was extremely bad, tried calling the number i was given but never got through to anyone
- Pauline (1/5): DO NOT BOOK STILL TRYING TO CONTACT FOR FULL REFUND ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING - Absolutely nothing we left as soon as we could get other accommodation and have had serious issues trying to contact booking.com and the accommodation rooms Seriously unsafe
Absolutely putrid and dirty unclean
The stairs no lift and lighting that was automatic but didn’t come on till you were nearly at top of stairs
Locks on rooms faulty so we wedged cases between door and bed to try and sleep because we were sick
No staff at facility at all couldn’t contact anyone to get help assistance or refunds
- Abigail (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fadi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brown (7/5): Good - Close to the train station and was easy to get around to the city centre. The shared washroom was cleaned both days I was there. If you drive there is no public parking near
- Maria (7/5): This place was very decently price for us, I really liked the location and it was easy to connect to the subway and plen - Location is great and in a safe area - staff will come clean every day The working table inside the room was really beaten up - a bit sad - the bathroom was clean but could use a little love
- Soraia (6/5): Good for those who just need a place to sleep. - It's a good location, there are a few options of bus and you can find supermarkets, off-licence, pizzeria and coffee shops around there. It's a simple room, you can hear all the noise from the street, the bathroom is shared and the bed is not comfortable
- Azevedo (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - Easy access to Camden Town with busses near by and the train not to far either. Nice room great price had brilliant stay come go as you please There was nothing that I didn't like
- Ionel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bhavya (7/5): Good - Room was clean and tidy.Bathroom was good cleaned up everyday. Pillows were flat and bed was little annoying.
- Kodie (3/5): I will not be staying here again - The location The cleanliness of the room, the size and overall the lack of space
- Shokhrukh (8/5): Very good -
- Ionel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nadia (5/5): Easy check-in and center location to get to the city. The kitchen is well-equipped and clean. - It’s in a good location with easy transport and even has a 24-hour bus ride. The shared toilet.
- Anonymous (2/5): Very poor - The bathroom did not have soap or toilet paper for two days of our visit. There was also no heat in the bathroom and only a space heater in the room which dried out the room and made it uncomfortable to sleep.
- Munevver (5/5): I went by reading the reviews and my expectations were low, but even the mattress of the bed was crooked! It was not cle - Almost nothing From the bed to the cleanliness, from the soundproofing to the facilities, it was a nightmare. I didn't use the kitchen but I couldn't sleep because of the noise.
- April (1/5): Nightmare, avoid this place - We didn't like any of it..
As soon as we entered the room, I could see the difference from the previous place we stayed. The bed frame is too creaky. The martress was not comfortable, and it's old as it was not level. Me and my husband and I had to sleep from both ends.
The curtain was dirty, and there was dried blood. Pillows were too thin.
The rooms were not the same from the ad, and
I emailed the host as she lives abroad. Asking if we can occupy another room .All she
can say was " same room as the ads
From the ads, it says that there were alcohol gels in every entry, and staff are 24 hours.
We stayed on the second floor, which there were 3 rooms and shared bathroom and small kitchen to share with all tenants of 6 rooms.
I can see only one toilet roll and need to buy our own.. location is 1 hour away from citty of london. The prices, if you will think of it, good value of money . But in this case, it is a total waste of money.
Don't dare book your stay to this property.
It is better to pay extra. We stayed for four nights, and we only used the same towel from day 1 to day 5. Emailed the host and asked about the cleaning, and I was told that it was £30 extra. Bed, pillows, and mattress weren't comfortable, and linen started becoming itchy and had to avail blanket.
This stay was total noght mare. Avoid this accommodation or will make your life miserable. We had to leave early and come back late due to this. We didn't even think or bother using the kitchen utensila as same. The non-stick pan is too old and rusty.
The hot water in the shower is just hot water. There is no other way to adjust the temperature. We had to use the water from the sink and get a bucket to fill water.
Everything was not right in this place. Everything
- Lu (1/5): Terrible - Dirty bathroom with no cleaning. Lots water on floor at all times that can cause slippery. Not enough toilet papers and pees on the toilet ring at all times. No reply from owner when you send them a message. Not worth the money, would never go again.
- Benedetta (6/5): Pleasant -
- Veronika (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean, Nice location, fair price for what we got The doors were broken - u can’t open them fully, also in a hallway - it was freezing sp going from a shower/toilet was hell
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phoebe (7/5): Good - The price was good! And bed was comfy Window was broken so it was very noisy when trying to sleep, as the rooms are on a main road above a shop
- Fatima (1/5): Bad -
- Andreea (6/5): For a two nights stay on a budget, it was not great, not terrible. - Location is ok and the check ins/outs are easy. It's alright if you are on a budget and only sleep there.
Although it was not very comfortable, the room was clean. There was a certain smell in the room so we spent most of our stay with the window opened. The pillows were literally flat, the mattress was rock hard and even if it is a small room, I think there could be some improvement in the quality of it.
- Lahcene (7/5): Good - The Self check-IN and the Self check-OUT Double Bed , no desk in the Room, No washing machine
- Alex (8/5): Very good -
- Zeynep (6/5): Good price value match good location - Cleaning lady is the best she helps with everything smiley and positive
Location is perfect one bus to everywhere
Bed and room is ok Too noisy, shower without water btw 7.30-8am
No bin bag in the room as no cleaning until you check out, management is good but quality is moderate with tv without good reception, guests cooking horrible spicy smelling food and leaving kitchen door open to give the smell everywhere!
Stairs carpets need to be cleaned
- Shirlsdaniel (7/5): Good -
- Adam (6/5): Pleasant - Cleaning staff were very friendly, quick and professional. Black mould build-up in bathrooms due to no ventilation, pillow quality was poor, so we had to use jackets.
- Mark (5/5): Passable -
- Orest (1/5): Bad -
- Kafferine (3/5): This is my second time in london but i would rather stay in Ibis in hounslow for a better service, facilities, comfort, - It has a kitchen. Almost everything. It did not have anybody to assist you. It has a weird smell. The shared bath is not cleaned everyday. It run out of tissues. It is not ideal to bring heavy luggages since it does not have a lift. The bed is uncomfortable and the pillows are flat. The room is too small. I gave this a try thinking that it is more accessible since it is in central london. But this is not that accessible. Too far to the tube station. Though there are bus stations nearby you still have to ride 2 buses to get there.
- Elie (2/5): Very poor -
- Tameeka (8/5): Carnival weekend. - The room was ok but I felt I had no space.
Maybe change the layout of the room like the picture. Way too many stairs 😑 😒 😐
- Glenn (5/5): Could've been worse, we guess... - The area the apartment was located in was nice for food and it was also close to public transport. To begin, upon our arrival, we were initially provided with only one small towel for two people, despite the booking indicating that towels would be provided. Although this issue was eventually resolved the following day, it did cause some inconvenience, especially after a hot day of travel.
Secondly, during our stay, it was evident that some recent painting had taken place in the room or perhaps the closet. The lingering scent of paint persisted throughout our entire visit, despite our efforts to dissipate it by keeping the window open. In fact, the persistent odor even caused us headaches on one occasion.
Additionally, the room's door only opened halfway due to it sticking to the floor, which proved to be quite frustrating.
As time passed, it became apparent that we were sharing the apartment with other guests who occasionally exhibited noisy behavior (which occurred on two out of the four days of our stay) and left the shared bathroom in a less-than-tidy condition. Furthermore, it was disappointing to discover that toilet paper was not initially provided, necessitating us to purchase our own.
- Sunni (4/5): Okay - There was a charge for ‘extra’ pillows and towels. The pillows were flat. The curtain was broken. The furniture looked old and randomly placed together. The bedroom got extremely stuffy, with no air condition and no breeze coming in. The kitchen was modern but there was no tea, coffee or sugar which is uncommon for guesthouses. The bathroom was ok, although there was no window so got stuffy.
- Asim (5/5): Passable - I stayed 4 days. There was no cleaning service I stayed 4 days. There was no cleaning service
- Gerald (5/5): Comfy bed and great location. no management on premise, and - The location is great, which is one of the reasons I got it. It was within walking distance to bars, restaurants, and the Knotting Hill Festival. When I needed an adapter for my Americancharger, I conveniently got one just a few minute walk down the street. Everything was clean too. They provide complementary towels and toilet paper, which you should leave in the community bathrooms before you leave, for future residents. The phone# Booking gave me didn't work, and the messages sent by them via Booking did not have a number or either, so I had no way of contacting them. Apparently, someone contacted the owner, because one day, there was someone screaming help, so I went out, and it was management who showed up to fix the internet - he didn't need help. He thought I was the one who contacted him, and he said the internet issue was because someone hit reset on the wifi adapter. If someone did that though, I think it'd be because there were already issues with it. My experience with the internet was that it was heavily throttled - no video possibleduring my 2 day stay. Perhaps the software does not have the latest updates, but IDK.
There was no hand soap in the upstairs bathroom, and the shower was scolding hot. I was having to put the water in my hand, or a cup they have there, and then use it to burn me anyway. Also, just an FYI for American travelers as maybe this is normal here, but there is no complementary toothpaste or soaps. However, these are easy to obtain up the street.
- Jose (7/5): Good -
- Joao (10/5): Exceptional - good rooms, excellent kitchen downstairs house, clogged, Samira's sewer, sink and shower, all clogged
- Maximiliano (8/5): Very good -
- Salem (1/5): Bad -
- Wei (1/5): This hotel is a fraud hotel, hope that the Booking.com can carefully review, revoke their business qualification, so tha - It was a terrifying experience. There was no front desk or any staff. After checking in via app we found that after walking up the super narrow stairs, the boss had given us the smallest of the four twin/double rooms, Room2. It could only put one double bed and there’s no room for legs for going to the other side of bed. The only power outlet in the room is at the back of the bed, which requires two people to move the bed 15cm away from the wall. And the room I paid for was a normal double room, definitely should not be like this one. I wanted to change room because other rooms are vacant. But only through the app platform, the boss's reply is always a repeat of the edited content. One day the clock of door didn’t work. Communicate with boss, there’s messages saying they are off work. Communication was extremely poor and the problem could not be solved.
The bathroom is communal, the sewer is always blocked, and the water fills up when you take a shower. The floor in front of the toilet is always covered with yellow urine. There's often no toilet paper.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (5/5): Passable -
- Ilona (7/5): Good -
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Ian (2/5): It was dreadful. - It was handy for Lord’s cricket ground The shower was permanently scalding, the curtain rail held on with cup hooks, the neighbours were arguing loudly late at night and slamming doors, there was washing in the corridors and the decorating standard poor. I won’t be staying here again.
- Yaghouti (5/5): Passable -
- Eleri (6/5): Got what we paid for - Comfy bed Bathroom wasn’t cleaned, had no soap. Broken mirror
- Kristin (5/5): Passable -
- Anna (4/5): It’s cheap. And you get what you pay for. - The room was clean. It was a 10 min walk to two underground stations. Lots of restaurants near the place. The shared bathroom ran out of toilet paper. I had one roll in my room that I left in the bathroom and then that was gone within one day, then there was none left. I had to use the bathroom downstairs for their toilet paper and I felt as if I was invading other guest’s space because of that. When I messaged the property, there was no reply.
The kitchen is shared and it was pretty messy the whole stay. There’s no signs up to clean up after yourself (nor was that mentioned in the welcome message) and I guess that’s why other guests decided they didn’t need to keep that space clean.
Also, there was lots of black stuff on the ceiling of the shared bathroom. Mold?
- Brendan (6/5): Just a bed for a night - It was very quiet room, bed was comfortable, washing machine & drying rack were handy. The 2 pubs were close. The bedding was on the floor, wasn’t sure if it was clean. 2 towels hanging up, wasn’t sure if they were from the previous guest or clean. The bin in the room was full, overflowing from previous guest. The shower on top level was set at 100 degrees, so couldn’t use, not sure how to adjust, I tried twice. The shower downstairs was nice. No tea/coffee supplies & couldn’t get anything on the tv.
- Robert (1/5): Bad - TV not working, shower not working properly and had to share with too many people Stairs dirty and unsafe
- Alex (1/5): Bad -
- Amna (3/5): Poor - Location was good, close to metro and bus stations. Room was okish Bathroom is dirty, not cleaned, moldmon the ceiling on several places, smells bad. I did not feel comfortable showering here.
Also no hairdryer or anything similar.
- Isis (6/5): Pleasant -
- Miguel (7/5): Good -
- Neville (2/5): Very poor -
- Alfred (1/5): Bad - I had difficulty opening the door and there was no one readily available to contact. The person who responded to help also misled me buy telling me to turn the nob to the left when it actually opens when it is turned to the right. The washroom was not clean as well. I didn't like the fact that there was not physical person available to reach out to for help
- David (7/5): Good -
- Hernan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Pauline (5/5): Passable -
- Daniel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lucas (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (2/5): Very poor -
- Karoly (3/5): Poor -
- Philipp (7/5): Great affordable accommodation with great location. - Great location, easy check-in, really does the job for a couple of nights and super affordable. Shared bathroom wasn’t very clean, room quite bright in the morning (darker curtains would be nice)
- Joseph (3/5): Poor - The room was a good size There was a wardrobe with no hangers in, the toilet ran out of toilet roll on the first night and even though I messaged the property manager there was still none put in by the time I left on the 4th morning. Bins in the kitchen weren't emptied the whole time I was there and it's also next to a very busy road which is load the whole night I understand that can't be helped but the rest is a bit ridiculous.
