Guest Reviews
- Inocencio (7/5): Good place - The place is clean and the owners are helpful. Thai breakfast is good. However, the place is very far from everything. It is also not easily found. Recommended for those who wants peace and solitude but not for those who loves exploring areas. Garden is besutiful. Location
- Saada (8/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Baan Boon. Sani and her family were kind and helpful. The garden's greenery was soothing. Loved the thai breakfast. It was nice to eat outside. The cleaning lady is appointed only once a week. But we could ask for new linens or towels as need.
- Denis (10/5): -
- Bruce (9/5): - The personal service provided by the hosts. Lovely food at breakfast, fresh from their garden.

- MattFM (9/5): - Lovely place. Nice, peaceful garden setting and lovely local-feeling neighbourhood. Room was a good size and comfortable. Really enjoyed the free yoga practices. Breakfasts were excellent, different every morning and we really appreciated the hosts catering to our veganism. BTS is a short walk away and takes you right into the city centre. Wifi was a bit slow and patchy. Cleanliness was generally very good, though some walls/surfaces in the bathroom could have done with wiping.
- Didier (10/5): Formidable!
A recommander absolument! Rien!...
- Jackie (10/5): A tranquil oasis in the bustle of Bangkok. Clean and comfortable with excellent breakfasts. - Very clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfasts. Close to public transport. Nice and quiet. All great

- NEAL (10/5): - garden
- Tessa (8/5): - Great breakfast. Super clean. Good area of Bangkok (but not in the touristy area/s - but close to a train station). We were a little sad to have missed the usual host as she was on holidays. But the other hosts were friendly.
- Christelle (9/5): -
- Karin (10/5): Loved it! - Beautiful oasis in busy Bangkok. Great for people who want to be a little more of an authentic experience. People in neighbourhood were lovely and friendly. Easy bus and train transport to city. Nothing.
- Maurice (8/5): Unkompliziert und ruhig - Ruhige Lage
- Matthias (10/5): -
- Rishaad (10/5): Wonderful hosts who go out of their way to help in any way they can. We always look forward to our stay at Baan Boon! -
- Arig (10/5): What a charming, lush green, local, quiet pocket in the bustling city. It was nice to see another side of Bangkok! - After a day out on the town, this was a great place to come back to for a peaceful rest. It was also a real treat to start the day with delicious homemade breakfast in the front garden. The room was immaculately clean. The home owners were very kind and helpful. The neighbors friendly, and helpful as well.
- Christie (9/5): Would definitely return if I have the chance - The place was lovely surrounded with nature. The neighbourhood is a local neighbourhood you get to see how the true local live and be part of them. The room was good, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast prepared by the hosts were really tasty and delicious. I wished the the bathroom was bigger, or at least have some glass shelves near the mirror to put contact lens cases, face wash, tooth paste etc. now we only place them around the basin.
- Pui (6/5): fare with the price - narrow road to homestay, a bit far from station...if you feel want to away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this homestay is good choice for you. every morning take a cup of coffee...I like one person static static seat am in daze...feel relaxing
- Sartys (9/5): Don't be afraid, try it! - We chose Baan Boon as our first place to stay in Bangkok and we liked it right away. When we saw other hotels in Thailand at a similar price, we liked them even more. Baan Boon is located in a non-tourist district and you can walk the streets where everyday life of average Thais takes place. The room is in the house with a total of four rooms. The room with basic equipment is clean with working air conditioning, the bed is quite comfortable. Breakfasts are served in the garden, owners serve something new every day. For example, we ate Tom kha Kai and some broth with minced shrimp meat and rice. In addition, bread, jams, coffee and juices are available every day. There is free filtered water and a washing machine and dryer for a fee. 3-4 minutes to the BTS station (the basic means of rapid transport around the city). It is worth walking a bit across the canal to the small market in front of the Wat Krachap Phinit temple, where you can eat for 50 baht. In the bathroom, a shelf for cosmetics would be useful. You need to buy a mosquito repellent, because the walls of the house are not airtight and mosquitoes fly in. At least a minimal barrier would be useful on the mezzanine
- Iya (10/5): Beautiful place with great hosts - The property is very clean and spacious! The hosts are amazing and can’t do enough for you! They made sure I had vegetarian food for breakfast and also let us join their yoga class across the yard! There’s way more plants etc making it feel more enclosed and homey.
- Hwai (10/5): You have to come to enjoy the REAL Bangkok life - A friendly family set up home stay .. during my visit encountered some unexpected emergency and the host supported me to solve me issue . Really touching and appreciate their support . A real local experienced during the stay with local delight breakfast. the stair case light can be brighter so that safer for visitor at second floor . others all good
- Graham (10/5): Choose Baan Boon. You know it makes sense. - This is our second stay here at Baan Boon. There is nothing not to like. The welcome from Sani, her husband Nope and her mum and brother. It's lovely. Lots of fruit from the garden, Daeng Mo the dog skipping around. Two minutes from the BTS, great wee community all around.
Easy to walk to Talat Phlu, or other locations to get a bus (if you like walking in the heat).
We are looking forward to a third visit Nothing. All is superb
- Quynh (9/5): Definitely worth your stay - It might seem far from the city centre, but the sky train station is just a short walk away. The taxi fare to the centre is not bad either. Local shops are friendly. The atmosphere around is nice and the place itself is homey. The walls are thin, so you kinda have to talk really soft. But not so thin that you can hear people outside.
- Jing (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Great homestay, very friendly staff and easy access to the train station. 🚉 - Great homestay, very clean and comfortable. very friendly and helpful staff. Good location to the station. minor ideas, to have a safe in the room.
- Samuel (10/5): This place is an oasis amidst Bangkok - BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING NA
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly host and staff, delicious breakfast which varied each day and a great location; close to BTS and shops
- Paing (5/5): Passable - Quiet and Clean and comfort Facilities
Not refrigerator in the room
- Landsman (10/5): Perfect place - Everything was perfect, the room and the team,
special place, not in the center of the city, green environment, we love it Nothing
- Corde (10/5): Exceptional - Good location, nice cosy place, breakfast different every day and in the garden. Super nice staff !
- Andrea (9/5): Superb - Small, cosy B&B with four essentially furnished but clean, very quiet, functional rooms in the midst of a small, well maintained garden. Very good home made breakfast. Very kind owners. Do not be afraid of the immediate surroundings. Living in a "popular" quarter provides a much more veritable experience than an anonymous chain hotel in a tourist district. Besides, connections to the city center through the fast monorail are very efficient. Nothing.
.
- Oswaldo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helene (10/5): I WILL COME AGAIN - ANY TIME !! - I like the cosy room, very quiet and super clean. Functional too !
The tropical garden is a guenine oasis in the middle of BKK.
Sani is a very friendly host and provides many useful tips about Thonburi. Thank you !
Off the beaten tracks, away from the skyscrapers, back to the traditional BKK !!! I like everything !
- Floyd (10/5): Exceptional - We love staying at Baan Boon (this was our second time and we would stay again if in Bangkok). The facilities are excellent, chilled drinking water in the fridge, washer and dryer, breakfast in the morning, lovely family running the place, and excellent location! It's a 2 min walk from BTS Station, and at the same time it's a little oasis in the city.
- Tran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional - The garden was absolutely delightful.
Breakfast was healthy and good quality.
Hosts were friendly and helpful.
An oasis in a peaceful area. Everything was great.
- Floyd (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, quiet and local neighbourhood which felt like an oasis within Bangkok and it was a 3 min walk from the BTS station so very well connected. The room was very comfortable, clean and had all the amenities we needed. There was a communal fridge and washing and drying machine. Breakfast was different every day which was served in a garden which was a nice spot to chat to other guests.
- Elza (9/5): Superb -
- Abhishek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Corde (10/5): Beautiful homestay, countryside in the city. - Very nice staff, breakfast cooked and different every day with fresh ingredients, room very convenient, comfy. Perfect location : 5 minutes from BTS station.
- Olivier (8/5): Very good - The place and the calm
- Satyajeet (10/5): Exceptional - Shower area in bathroom was very small: barely enough space to stand.
- Bucher (10/5): Exceptional - Great accommodation and welcoming owners. Beautiful garden. It's like a hideout of green inside a megapole of concrete. Not far from the SkyTrain. Excellent location. Authentic.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the calm atmosphere and the kindness of our hosts ! It is a piece of heaven !
We had a wonderful time there
- Mike (9/5): Thank you Sani (and mum) for looking after us at the start and end of our trip, a great base to explore Bangkok, particu - An oasis in the city, always filtered chilled water in the fridge Nothing
- Mike (10/5): Great place, location and host, thanks Sani - All excellent Mossie nets on the windows would be good addition
- Kim (9/5): Superb - The host, the room, the location, the atmostphere are great.
If you prefer a quiet, tranquil place, this would be a good place. Nice, clean, Close to the Pho Nimit station. The aircon didn't work well, and the breakfast is okay. But it's worth with the price so I didn't expect much.
- Altaf (10/5): Exceptional - It's spacious, cozy and very clean. Felt very private and I enjoyed the garden Not much places to eat around, but grab worked well.
- Smriti (9/5): Superb - The place is great to stay. it's spacious beautiful and clean. It's also close to BTS station. It has eating joints nearby. The facilities are amazing
- Vicki (7/5): Good - Clean and good peoples there, location not so close to sightseeing, transport convenient

- Yuk (9/5): Superb -
- Sho (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniela (10/5): Silent environment, accessible to several places and. Breakfast is prepared with organic nutrients. -
- Graham (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (9/5): A haven in Thon Buri - We chose Baan Boon precisely because it was out of the way a little and we wanted to stay in Thon Buri the next time we visited Bangkok. The photos certainly do it justice. When we arrived Sani, the owner was there to welcome us and show us our room and around the property. We had one of the downstairs rooms and bearing in mind we ended up staying for 6 nights rather than th 5 nights we originally booked. Our room was spacious, quite minimalistic and the bed was super-comfortable and large. Excellent WiFi. Great shower room and good storage space. Lots of bottled water freely available, good AC, laundry facilities.
Breakfast is freshly name every day and a different but typical Thai dish plus fruit. Much of the vegetables and some of the fruit come from their kitchen garden. Fresh coffee and Thai tea help you start your day.
Let Sani show you round the garden and meet her mum and Mo, her soi dog. The gate at the end of the garden leads onto a klong. Look out for the Water Monitors. Sani is a wee ray of sunshine. She is incredibly easy to talk with and she is a great source of local information e.g. sending us off to Talat Phlu market, local restaurants etc.
It's an incredibly peaceful haven in a huge and busy city. The neighbourhood is very Thai and if you're a western foreigner, like we are, you will stand out but don't feel odd about it. Just go with the gentle flow of the neighbourhood's rhythm, greet people, stop and speak to people. BTS Pho Nimit is 5 mins walk away or depending on what you're doing, it's a brief walk through the neighbourhood to Somdet Phra Chao Tak Sin Road where you can get buses, scooter taxis regular taxis (the drivers do use the meter) & tuk-tuks. Public transport is ridiculously affordable for tourists. It is do cheap especially in comparison to the UK.
We know we would stay there again whenever we get the chance to go back to Thailand.
Thank you Sani. Our only significant suggestions are,:
1) I'd like to have screens on all the windows so you could sleep with them open. I don't want to always rely on AC.
2) Have a bedside reading lamp on either side as the ceiling lights are a bit bright.
- Iris (9/5): really nice stay at Baan Boon. I like the neighborhood and Sani, the host, is the best ever - the garden and the breakfast are amazing
- Petra (9/5): Excellent choice for a stopover - Perfectly clean 10 out of 10. Bed very hard - we enjoyed it but it may not be for everyone. Free water available at all times. Very nice design, cozy. Lush garden. Close to centre though for taxi drivers hard to find. Great choice for 1-2 nights stopover. Bathroom really tiny, water pressure lower and slow. We didn't manage breakfast at any day, would have been nice if the host at least offered some fruit takeaway as a gesture. No house insulation, you could hear everything around incl.neighbours dogs barking etc.
- Toh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Urinthorn (9/5): Superb - Comfortable, convenient, relaxing, very accommodating, and a lovely garden.
