• Denis (10/5): Lovely place for stay - I booked Raam Studio for my trip to Amsterdam at the end of March. The accommodation is very conveniently located, close to the main attractions and shops. The room is small but very cozy. It has everything you need — dishes, towels, a kettle, a coffee machine, and a large bed. The staircase to the room is a kind of attraction in itself 😊 The room was warm; sometimes I even had to open the window at night. Special thanks to the host — all the necessary information was sent right after the booking, and they kept in touch the whole time.

• Simatkovic (10/5): We are definitely coming back here next time we decide to visit Amsterdam. - The location is excellent, you don’t need to use public transport to visit Amsterdam’s famous spots, everything is at walking distance. The studio is modern and clean and has everything that you need for your stay.

• Kasandra (5/5): Bad smell to much stairs not clean - Staff welcome us to help with bringing the suitcase upstairs and location Not the same room as same as the picture… To many stairs for travellers with suitcases did not mention In the description. The smell of the bathroom was horrible had to hold our breath to go in.. We found crumb in the bed…
• Litchfield (8/5): Great location and lovely host. - Location was great and the host was very lovely and very responsive. Yes - there are a lot of steep stairs to get to the room but I’m not sure what people expect given it’s in Europe and is listed as a “studio”. We had the room with the loft and it got very hot and the fan doesn’t really work. It would also be nice if there was somewhere comfortable to sit in the downstairs part of the loft. There were only 2 folding chairs and 2 hard plastic ones. A comfortable arm chair or small sofa would go a long way in making the room more comfortable. Wouldn’t be an issue for a smaller stay but we were there for a week so it was just something we noticed. Also the pictures could do with updating because it’s a little different than pictured. There was no clothes rack or full length mirror as in the images.

• Amber (1/5): Bad - If your planning on staying in Raam studio be really to climb ALOT of stairs with suitcases the bed was very uncomfortable there was dirty bedding left in a small cupboard mouldy & mould on the walls the stairs up to the bed are completely unsafe after asking if we can change rooms we had no other option but to leave 3 days early location is okay short walk to Amsterdam central
• Ville (8/5): Great place in the area of Jordaan to get to known to Amsterdam - Great location to get known the most parts of the city. Nice clean & modern bathroom. All and all pretty nice accommodation. Mattres was a bit squirky + two plankets would be better.
• Andrea (4/5): Not a studio! Bathroom and bedroom smelled very bad. Stairs very steep and dangerous. - Location was good and the people seemed very nice in the messages. It is definitely not a studio! It is an ensuite bedroom. There is no kitchenette or living area. They put a coffee machine and some plates and cutlery on a side board and told me to use the bathroom for drinking water. It was on the the floor with very very steep stairs. But the worst was the stench from the bathroom. It was like blocked pipes or stagnant water and it made the whole bedroom stink also. I emailed them about this but they did not respond. This was disappointing.
• Jeanette (4/5): Guest experience could be made much better by finding a permanent solution to odor issue. - Location is great. Room accommodations were okay. Coffee maker and water cooker worked well. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Room was cleaned when we arrived, although the floor was not clean. We read reviews from other guests before booking this property and several previous guests commented on an unpleasant odor in the room. We contacted and asked the owner about this prior to the trip and he assured us that issue had been resolved. Based on that assurance, we booked the room for twelve days in early May 2023. The odor issue has NOT been resolved. Upon our arrival, we could smell a foul odor mostly within the bathroom but also emanating into the bedroom. After several text conversations with the owner, he told us that the odor could be mitigated by leaving the bathroom exhaust fan on all the time, and leaving a bedroom window open. While this did help reduce the odor at times, it did NOT resolve the underlying issue. Leaving the bedroom window open to reduce odor caused the room to be too cold some evenings. After reporting this to the owner, he told us that “We tried a lot of different things but it seem to be something in the street or so” After the first week of dealing with the foul odor, I attempted to find the source myself. In about five minutes of checking around the bathroom, I determined that the odor is coming from the shower drain. I am not sure why the owner has not identified the bathroom drain as the source of the odor and has not had it fixed. Cannot recommend while this odor issue persists.
• Zandalee (7/5): Great location and good enough for a couple days. - The location of this stay was perfect for us! Wr are big walkers so we didn't mind some of the further walks but it is very close to the 9 streets for shopping and close enough to the Red Light District and lots of great food and so many canals! The host was very kind and checked in after our first day to ensure everything was okay. It also fairly spacious inside which is great. The bed is just a foam topper, not really a mattress. It was fine for a couple nights but not super comfortable after a long day of walking but good enough! There is also many stairs up to the apartment that are quite narrow. This is normal for the area but just be wary if you have some mobility issues. There was also a strange smell in the bathroom after one day of being there, we couldn't figure it out and weren't overly bothered about it because we were out most of the day and then couldn't really smell it when the shower was running but if you plan on spending time indoors it could be a bother, I am sure this will be resolved for the next person as the host is quite responsive.
• Randi (9/5): Excellent location, tiny studio, perfect for short trips - Perfect for anyone not spending much time inside. Location is excellent, we were able to get everywhere via transport or walking without any issue. Apartment was quiet as well. While we knew it was small, it has zero storage space so bags and clothes are on the floor (this isn't a problem for us, but may be for some). Also no AC (as Im sure most places are) but as a top floor unit and with the bed so high up, we were very warm.
