Leegp (5/5): Lovely place, wrong location - "The place was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. The owner was very accommodating. It's more than what we expected." Although the place was lovely and clean, its location in a rough neighborhood made us feel uneasy at night. Unfortunately, we weren't aware of this when booking. However, our main concern was with the housekeeping service. Upon returning to our room, we found it clean but our belongings had been rearranged, making it difficult to locate our items. It seemed as though our things had been gone through, and unpacked without our consent. We understand cleaning is necessary, but we would have preferred staff to refrain from touching our personal belongings. The next morning, finding simple items like a comb became a challenge, as they were placed in random locations (e.g., shoe bag). The staff was friendly, but this particular experience left a sour note.

The shower(head) in the room I booked was into wasn't functioning properly - sprayed water inconsistently and over the shower curtain. The room lacks ventilation. The bathroom's basin tap's water pressure was extremely low. And, lastly, we were unable to pick up a WiFi signal on the premises.

Kgakgamatso (1/5): The owner didn’t seem to care about the inconvenience she caused. - Nothing The owner: Checked in at 21:45 with low phone and laptop battery only to be told that they haven't had electricity for a week due to cable theft. Which is something that should have been communicated before hand. I needed my laptop and phone for work the following morning, and all the owner could tell me was that electrician will come and fix in the morning. The entire time there's was no electricity, the owner didn't even bother to arrange back up or to check if I'm okay.And all she could say was that the theft affects all of us instead of admitting she was wrong for not communicating days before, to give me an option to book else where. As I was trying to let her know that I was not really happy about the situation, she then ask if I want to check out. It was almost 10pm, I should have been given that option days before. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. And also she tried to cover it up trying to make it seem as if it's something that just happened recently not knowing the daughter already mentioned it that it's been 7 days. The place: As I was crossing the room spider web landed on my face. The clothing cupboard is a disaster, nearly fell on me as I was trying to grab a blanket, I think it was supposed to be built in because it's loose from the ceiling. I didn't expect much considering the price but also did not expect it to be a safety hazard.

Hesthea (8/5): Overall we had a lovely stay at Cheryl's and would recommen it to anyone looking for value for money - The Staff or Cheryl's fortress are the friendliest people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting at a guesthouse. They made such an effort to make us feel special as we were traveling for our honeymoon. The room we had was private and secluded, however the property does not have air-conditioning or electric fans in the rooms which made it a bit warm and stuffy. The Wi-Fi was not working for some unknown reason.

Khauho (5/5): The place was decent and in a relatively safe area. - I hadn’t any breakfast on the property. I liked the comfort and quietness. When power went out, a battery light was provided. The advert said that the property has WiFi and not once was that provided for me and no alternative was provided too. The room does not have a sink to wash dishes, nor does it have washing liquid. Of my two weeks, my room was only ever cleaned twice. My linen changed twice of the 14 days there. Water outages weren’t attended to and as a result I had went to work having not washed up.
