• Kathrin (10/5): Tu casa - wie dein Zuhause! Das stimmt zu 100% :) - Der Empfang am Abend nach einem langen Flug war sehr herzlich, man hatte das Gefühl, direkt zu Hause zu sein. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr sicher und man fühlt sich ab der ersten Sekunde wohl. Der nächste Morgen begann mit leckerstem Obst-Müsli-Frühstück und guten Gesprächen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Lots of drink & food options at the beach across the street. Only a 10min walk to the ferry terminal to Isla Mujeres. As a solo female traveler I always felt safe.

• Edvardas (10/5): Better than we expected - Perfect location. Safe, because its close territory, if You need to drive or come in You must go throw security. Has parking place just under the windows. Beach in two minutes by walk. Close is everything you need - beach, bars, market, ferry to Isla Mujeres (10 minutes by walk). Very helpful owners. Gave us very valuable recommendations about local things, as for example, recommended wild beach which was one of the best places we visited in Mexico. Healthy and a hearty breakfast.

• Oscar (8/5): - After searching for several budget friendly hotels in the Cancun area I thought that I had picked one for my wife and I. When we arrived, we were surprised to find that it was a shared residence. At first we didn’t know what to think but since we are open to new adventures, we thought what the heck and gave it a go. We were pleasantly surprised. Our room though small had its own bathroom. The host, Octavio was super friendly and helpful. He recommended a few places to eat and visit which turned out to be awesome. We met his mother, Abril the next morning who greeted us with fresh baked banana bread and coffee. She was super friendly as well and she has very cool art work throughout the residence. We really had never given a shared residence a second thought. If I had not made the mistake to book a shared residence, we would not have never known how pleasant it could be. With that said, if you are like my wife and I where we only use the room to sleep and shower, then this is not a bad option. If its extreme comfort and lounging in the room, then this is not for you. This is a gated community and the public beach was about 100 yards (had to go around through the guard shack). There were a few sea food restaurants along the main road and uber and taxi services are readily available. The ferry to take you to Islas Mujeres was only about 15-minute walk. The bed was small (full, I believe).

Lots of tips provided for the local area and even for other places we visited on the peninsula. Delicious breakfast served every morning. The accommodation is across the road from a fantastic beach, with bars and restaurants. Highly recommended!

• Catherine (2/5): Not recommended - Close to the beach/ restaurants, great little breakfast, easy Uber ride to town Ended up feeling unsafe / uncomfortable after a confrontation from the host regarding our messages below- which had gone very positively (I thought). I was happy to stay and move to a room with AC (as this was my error in booking) but I also would have understood if the penalty was paying the full stay. When he got home that night and I popped out to discuss as he asked- he became quite hostile saying he and his mother were no longer comfortable with my presence. At this point I had become uncomfortable and after long back and forth of me trying to understand what went wrong I said I would leave (I was solo traveling and pregnant so my safety came first, at whatever cost). I paid the two nights I stayed plus that night in cash. They demanded my door be kept open and I was given 30 minutes to pack. At one point he started taking bags from my room and just continued to berate me for being a terrible guest etc etc. Meanwhile I’m shut down and crying at this point berating myself for choosing this accommodation. When I went to collect my bathing suit from the line, the backyard lights were turned off on me. I asked for a few minutes to stay on wifi to book an uber / hotel which was rejected and I was escorted to the street. He ended up forcing the cash back at me and then marking me a no show on booking?Luckily the security guard on the street was kind enough to let me use his hotspot, but it was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve ever had traveling. I lost items in the rushed process (pants, comb, hat). Now that I’ve looked there are other similar reviews so please be mindful of same if planning to book.

O anfitrião foi bem receptivo e nos deu várias dicas de lugares para visitarmos! Vá preparado para pagar a acomodação em dinheiro porque eles só aceitam isso por lá :) Achei só que faltou uma coberta no quarto. Fora isso, tudo foi bom :)

• Christina (10/5): - Super nice host, easy to reach, gives many recommendations and makes you feel very welcome. Felt very safe as a female solo traveler in my first night in Mexico here. You should know that the bathroom is divided by just a curtain to the mainroom, but that was no issue for me.
• Giuseppe (6/5): Non ci tornerei nemmeno pagato non capisco come si fa a dare un voto alto a questo posto è valutato più di 9 imbarazzant - I proprietari sono molto accoglienti ed amichevoli si dorme comunque a casa a fianco alla loro stanza da letto Il bagno è davvero imbarazzante piccolo il lavandino è un sottovaso in terracotta, la porta del bagno non c’è é una tendina. Letto piccolo e arredamento da recupero. La colazione consiste in una tazza di yogurt e frutta secca con un tè o caffè. Le finestre non esistono solo delle persiane in vetro e sembra di dormire fuori!
• Sjoukje (10/5): Leuke accommodatie! - Octavio en zijn moeder waren erg aardig! Octavio gaf ons veel informatie en begroette ons heel vriendelijk. Zijn moeder maakte heerlijke ontbijtjes. De locatie was dicht bij het strand en op een rustigere plek. Je zit in huis bij hun maar dit was prima en gezellig. Ook kregen we strandlakens en konden we telkens water pakken Niet veel. Mijn vriend is 1.92m en voor hem was het bed iets te kort en de douche te laag.

• Daniel (10/5): I had a wonderful experience of Mexican hospitality and culture in a short 2 day stay. - The location just a few minutes walk from the beach in the centre of Cancun was fantastic. Restaurants, shops, historical sites and the ferry to Isla Mujeres all within walking distance. Octavio and his mother are very warm and welcoming hosts, the bed is comfortable and the room is private; the house has a very peaceful and creative atmosphere full of beautiful art. I wish I could have stayed longer!
• Jennifer (10/5): Perfect landing in Mexico 🇲🇽 - A cozy home where we had a room with an external bathroom just next door. Abril and Octavio live in the same house with señor pepe, their dog - they are all very lovely and super helpful. The house is super clean, we could use the fridge and they provide drinking water and delicious breakfast bowl with homemade bananabread. We felt very welcome and comfortable there was calming background music and soft incense smell😍 The beach ist just across the steet, super clean and safe, a lot of locals live here. You can get everywhere easily with collectivo #1 from the gate for 10 pesos. a perfect place to land in Mexico we will definitely come back 🙏 If all their rooms are occupied it could get a bit tight in the living areas if all are there at once, but we were always just the 2 of us 🙏

Disponibilissimi ad ogni richiesta, ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa, dato consigli ed aiutato in qualsiasi cosa avessimo bisogno La camera era piccolina ma accogliente e pulita, letto comodissimo, il bagno privato era esterno ma aveva tutto il necessario! Colazione buonissima e salutare, la casa si trova a due passi dal mare e dal porto per prendere il traghetto per Isla Mujeres Consiglio a tutti di prenotare in questa struttura se siete in zona così vi sentirete un vero local! 🙂♥️ Grazieeee Niente
• Raquel (7/5): - El alojamiento es una casa familiar donde se alquilan algunos cuartos. Es pequeñito. Nos gustó la ubicación pues es una zona tranquila y está cerca de los ferris para isla mujeres. El baño era grande y cómodo, si bien estaba fuera de la habitación, la cama algo pequeña pero confortable. El desayuno nos pareció escaso, era un bol de granola y un bizcocho, necesitaríamos algo de proteína.
• Nancy (1/5): - Nothing. The house and location were both depressing. The host, Octavio, screamed and yelled and kicked me out of his house at 11:45 PM. I was in my pajamas, sitting on the bed. He was furious because I politely asked (via text message) for a lowered rate--since the room I got was nowhere near as good as the room I booked (I sent him a screenshot of my reservation). Clearly he has serious anger-management issues! I apologized (though the apology should have come from him!) and asked him to forgive me (so he wouldn't kick me out into the street, at midnight, with nowhere to go, in a seedy part of Cancún--nowhere near the hotel zone). Then, after he drove me to another hotel (because I BEGGED him not to put me out on an unfamiliar street at midnight), I got a text from Booking.com, saying that Octavio told them I was a no-show! After HE KICKED ME OUT AT MIDNIGHT. Worst hotel experience ever--and I travel all over the world. I will be following up with Booking.com about this unacceptable incident.

El alojamiento está en una urbanización privada con una seguridad para ingresar.

• Sandra (10/5): Un lugar muy sympatico y acojedor afuera del centro urbanizado - Super établissement à deux pas de la plage de Playa del Niño, locale et très sympathique, et du ferry pour Isla Mujeres. L’accueil des hôtes a été formidable, beaucoup d’infos sur la zone, c’est au calme et il y a un joli petit jardin intérieur, des surprises gourmandes au petit déjeuner. Muchas gracias Octavio y tu madre para todo, volvere con mucho placer ! 🙏🙂 Rien, plutôt peut-être opter pour une chambre avec climatisation à l’étage 😉

• Yianna (9/5): great hosts and lovely stay, overall. - very welcoming hosts who did their best to help us feel comfortable! fairly good location, although not much more around apart from the local beach and the local port to travel to isla mujeres by ferry. breakfast was great! location. bathroom size was quite small but fine for 2 nights.
• Susanne (9/5): - Die Lage war toll, eine ruhige Straße in einer gesicherten Wohngegend keine 5 Minuten vom Strand. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Bett bequem. Gekühltes Trinkwasser stand im großen Kühlschrank in der Küche immer zur Verfügung. Wir wurden mit einem sehr leckeren Müsli-Frühstück verwöhnt. Octavio und seine Mutter waren sehr nett und Octavio hatte auf alle unsere Fragen eine Antwort, sowie viele gute Tipps - danke dafür. Parkplätze gab es ausreichend in der Straße. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

• KEUM SAEM (10/5): - 이른 시간에 출발하는 절 위해 커피와 케이크를 미리 준비해줘서 아침마다 든든하게 여행할 수 있었어요. 공간 또한 프라이빗하고 작은 마당도 있어서 쉬어가기 좋았습니다. 바로 앞에 해변도 있어서 좋았어요. 그리고 호스트가 굉장히 친절해서 머무르는 내내 행복했습니다.

• Joel (10/5): Perfekter kurzer Aufenthalt nach der Ankunft in Mexico - Der Gastgeber Octavio und seine Mutter waren so freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie haben mir sehr viele Tips für Aktivitäten gegeben und das Frühstuck war sehr lecker. Es war alles sauber und gut ausgestattet. Ich wurde dann sogar noch an das Busterminal gebracht, was perfekt war. Ein bisschen laut, durch den Verkehr, aber sonst war alles super.

• Amanda (10/5): Beautiful homestay with generous hosts - Abril and octavio thought of everything. They even let me borrow a little bag and snorkel for the beach. They have thought of every detail.
• Victoria (10/5): Most perfect stay! - The hosts were so beyond nice. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. Room was clean and comfy. An absolute 10/10 for us. Nothing!
• Edin (9/5): A quiet stay with wonderful hosts - Octavio and his mom were awesome hosts. We felt at home and he helped us in all the ways he could. The house is quiet, in a gated community, with Mexican Marines nearby (very safe). ATMs and shops are nearby. The location is far from the hotspots in Cancun, but that was what we wanted. Ferry to isla mujeres is very close to the house (10 min walk). The beach restaurants in front of the house closed very early (around 8 pm) so we had to buy some sandwiches nearby.
