Guest Reviews
- Nicola (7/5): Great location, loved staying in the apartments but they are in need of some tlc. - Good location and we preferred the apartment to a generic hotel. Although we liked the apartment (not the steep stairs!) a lot could be easily improved to make it so much better.
There was a huge pile of unopened post and an old door lock on the floor as soon as you go in. I appreciate the stairs are shared but they were very dirty and at least the last set up to the 2 apartments could be cleaned/vacuumed. Once you got to the top there was a broken table - either mend it or bin it. There were other various miscellaneous things (broken?) above in the eaves & on top of a washing machine (in a cupboard that wouldn’t shut) unsightly but at least they weren’t in the way. Inside the apartment the window film in the bathroom was peeling away and the window latch was broken/not secure. Lastly the bedding (pillows/duvet) were lumpy and could do with being replaced.
Having said all this we did enjoy staying in the apartments but a little effort to improve things could go a long way.

- Claudia (5/5): - Posizione centralissima e molto comoda! Musica altissima e urla fino a tarda notte.
- Evelina (7/5): Good option if you want something in the centre, you can lift your luggage and don’t care about noise. - The location is very good! Right in the center and close to bus tram stops.
The heating was also great and it was clean in general. The noise at night was unbearable.
It was like you were in the bathroom if a loud club.
The bed was uncomfortable. And the bathroom even though was clean and had been renovated it had a mould smell.
Keep in mind that it’s 3 floors up by very narrow and difficult stairs.
- Zhaddi (7/5): -
- Aleksandra (8/5): - Location, atmosphere The problem with the water pressure in the shower
- Uvdloriaq Mikael (8/5): Location is key - Location is awesome. Night life is very active, sometimes loud.
- RAYMUND (6/5): -
- Nurcan (10/5): Merkezi konumda konaklayın 😁 - Merkezi bir yerdi. Her yere yürüme mesafesinde. Alex Hanım'a çok ilgiliydi, sağ olsun. Güzel bir konaklama oldu bizim için. Sevmediğim bir şey yok.
- Raphael (7/5): - L’emplacement Voisin trop bruyant, manque un micronde essentiel.
- Decker (10/5): 10/10 would stay again! - Great location! Nothing. Fantastic place!

- Asha (9/5): Lovely short stay - The property was in a great location and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner made us aware of what was in the property beforehand so we knew what to expect. The owner was lovely and helpful as well.
- Elena (10/5): -
- Enes (6/5): Konumu güzel. Gerisi at çöpe. Bu fiyata değmez - Tesisin tek iyi yanı konumuydu. Temizlik kötüydü. Odalar fotoğraflardakiyle alakası yok. Yazan mt2 aldatmacalı.
- Dariusz (8/5): - Very close to everything perfect location good contact with owner Nothing
Opgang beskidt.
- Sophia (9/5): A very comfortable and cosy studio apartment - right in the centre of Amsterdam! - We think this is the perfect place to stay! It is located a 1-2 minute walk away from the Rembrandtplein tram stop, meaning you can easily get around, especially to and from Centraal station. The Rembrandt area itself is lovely and has lots of options to eat out - as well as being a short walk from the main shopping streets. There is also a very big and well stocked Albert Heijin (popular Dutch grocery store) nearby! The apartment is furnished in a cosy way and has a fridge, kettle, coffee maker and crockery/cutlery which allowed us to eat in some nights. We also enjoyed the spacious bathroom. The bed was comfortable and you get a lot of natural light from the windows. Checking in and out was quick and easy, and Anouk was very friendly! We will definitely come back again. It was a bit noisy at night being so central - but with the earplugs Anouk provided us with, this didn’t bother us! If you have mobility issues, you may have a problem with the steep stairs, but for us, both of these weren’t an issue at all.
- Jonathan (9/5): Perfect for short cheap stays - Great location, great value for money! You’re surrounded by bars, so a bit noisy at night…. But it’s Amsterdam!
- Stefan (5/5): Passable -
- Joanna (10/5): Lovely! We would happily come back - The property was beautiful and clean! Was perfect for what we needed It wasn’t an issue for us but the stairs are no joke! But we loved getting the extra steps in! It was also a little noisy at night but again we were so tired it didn’t matter as we passed out
- Sally (7/5): Cosy and a good location. - A very cosy little studio and very centrally located. Unfortunately the coffee machine didn’t work, it was one of the reasons for selecting the property.
The room was very clean but the outside stairwell could have done with a good vacuum.
- Natalia (10/5): Exceptional - Great localization! It was cozy and comfy The stairs in Amsterdam are crazy xD
- Alex (6/5): Pleasant -
- Marie (10/5): Very good location and very comfortable! The host is very nice and helpful. - Very good location and very comfortable!
- Xiaohan (8/5): Very good - nice location very noisy outside especially after 11pm
- Marnix (7/5): Good -
- Eze (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kyriakos (9/5): Superb - Good location, polite staff and great guidance! Wasn't told about the construction noise opposite
- Jason (9/5): Brilliant location, great for Solo traveller or couple. Communication with Anouk was excellent and he made sure I was ok - Location was excellent. Nothing - all good.
- Reine (7/5): Good -
- Raj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bermudez (9/5): Perfect for solo/couple travelers looking to explore Amsterdam - Great location, cozy studio
- Israel (7/5): Good -
- Alessio (4/5): Nice location, bring earplugs and eye mask. - Love the location.
The lady who greeted me and handed key was very smiley and nice. There's a club facing the room that play loud music until 2am (mid week inclusive). The party goers are loud and with the music blasting combo it is impossible to have a good relaxing sleep. I wore earplugs and this was not even enough. I felt that I could only sleep after 2am once the club shut down and party goers left. I live in NYC and I am no strange to street sounds but this was too much. The windows are not double pane, and the curtains are not light blocking (the club has a very strong red light glow light) .... So sound and light comes through.
- Jessy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sinja (9/5): perfect for exploring Amsterdam on the weekend! - Top location! 1 Minute from rembrandtplein. everything’s really close and very walkable! Room was very cute and everything you needed was available. Anouk made it possible to pick up the key because we arrived pretty late, so very nice contact and really helpful 😊 Kind of loud because of the proximity to Rembrandtplein, but we used ear plugs and didn’t hear anything, so it was perfectly fine!
- Atmaca (3/5): Disappointing Studio Apartment Experience in Amsterdam - - Convenient location with easy access to public transportation and attractions - Not as clean as expected
- Smaller than advertised (not 30 square meters)
- No storage space for belongings
- Inadequate natural light in the apartment
- Evangelia (9/5): Really great! - Friendly owner, beautiful little room but it was perfect for a place to sleep. Perfect location to get to everywhere you need to go. The stairs were very steep, and the noise of people partying outdoors, but no one is at fault for that
- Gordon (9/5): Great central stay - I had a really pleasant stay in the apartment. The location is really good, right next to Rembrandtsplein where you can connect to public transport. The apartment itself was nice and cozy on the top floor, perfect for one or two persons. The host was really kind and the check in was convenient as well. I forgot my charger and they sent it to my home which was much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again!
- Mark (10/5): Pretty amazing experience! - The location was excellent. Extremely convenient to everything we wanted to see and experience. The room was clean and perfect size for the two of us. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. We will definitely rebook this room when we return to Amsterdam and highly recommend this stay.
- Neale (9/5): Host Anouk is excellent. Communicative, helpful, responsive. Would stay again. - Great location and great price.
- Cameron (9/5): Superb - Super central and at a great price. The host met us and showed us in and everything went perfectly.
There’s a nespresso machine and plates/cutlery as well as a small sink for cleaning up meaning we managed to save on the extortionate restaurant meals every so often.
Host checked in on us a couple of times and seemed very keen to help had we needed any (which we didn’t!)
Would 100% recommend people to stay here. WiFi was a little spotty but suited us well enough.
The area can be a bit loud at night but that’s just staying in the centre of Amsterdam.
The stairs were steep but manageable but definitely worth noting if you’re not particularly stable at the best of times.
- Trudy (9/5): Cute, loft room in central location. - Central location so easy to get to various areas of the city on foot.
Cute, traditional apartment & great views from on high.
Kettle, coffee machine & refrigerator all welcome. The stairs are very steep but that comes with this traditional building so nothing can be done about that! (This isn't a complaint!)
Some kind of cooking facility would have been a bonus, just to heat some food.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, cosy little space. Couldn’t believe how central we were. Anouk was so helpful with everything, will definitely be back.
- Léa (7/5): Good -
- Mcnamara (10/5): Exceptional - It was cosy quiet but central was great not to have a tele as we talked more to each other.
Really enjoyed stay will definitely stay here again . The stairs but to be expected as all properties in Amsterdam have steep narrow stairs.
- Jack (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (9/5): Authentic Amsterdam experience - The location was perfect. Rembrantplein is filled with restaurants and nightlife, and is a short walk from pretty much all of the major sites - the museums, red light district, Vondelpark, etc. The apartment is on the top floor of an authentic style house, so you really feel that you are staying "like a local." With any top floor apartment in one of these Amsterdam houses, there are a few not-as-nice things that come with it - lots of super narrow stairs, no A/C, beams that you can easily bang your head on. Also, with being in a great location for restaurants and nightlife, there is some noise at night and in the morning that you can hear from the apartment.
- Drayer (9/5): Superb -
- Grigorios (5/5): Passable - The location It’s much smaller than what they say , it’s probably 10cm2 not 30, the stairway it’s really narrow and difficult to climb with the luggage
In general what they show in the pictures it’s not so much closer to reality ,they only offer you one room not the whole studio as they make it look like in the pictures
- Rickan (8/5): Excellent location and stay, will definitely return - The location of this apartment is amazing - right next to Rembrantplein and a 1 minute walk to Muntplein.
The host is extremely friendly, accommodating and responsive to any questions.
The bathroom is very modern and clean, and the room is lovely, cosy and comfortable. The area can be noisy at night however that is expected given the central location. Steep stairs on entry like most places in Amsterdam.
- Bar (4/5): Disappointing - The location was really good Aprtement too small,
lack of electronics.
Wasnt wroth the value at all
We coudent make the towel warmer to work
Hairdrayer was really cheap the air wasnt even warm
No TV which was very annoying
The water in the shower was really weak but atleast it was warm
- Matthew (10/5): Such a beautiful, wonderfully cosy little space right in the centre of everything. - Such a cosy space right in the centre of everything. You still feel like a part of the city even when you’re at home.
- Tyra (9/5): Great stay! - Great location, very helpful host too. Extremely comfy bed
- Lucy (10/5): Loved the place! - The location was perfect, loved the area! Easy check in and check out, even let us check in early and was availble throughout our stay on what’s app if we needed anything/had any questions. The bed was super comfy and we enjoyed the walk in shower!
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeta (8/5): Very good -
- Paola (5/5): Not for a calm trip - The apartment is nice, it has a lot of potential The hall to access the room was really dirty, the room is located in an extremely noisy area, the light entered since 4pm since the curtains are really thin and you can hear everything that’s happening on the next room
- Lino (9/5): Superb - Great location It was a bit noisy at night, especially as we had to keep the windows open due to the heat, but it is to be expected given the location.
- Michael (4/5): Disappointing - Superb location, close to Rembrandt square. Quirky apartment format was nice. The room was very small, The facilities within the apartment were severely lacking, we had a kettle but no cups!! Boarded up window pane in the room had obviously been there a long time. Broken bathroom window mechanism. Large amounts of rubbish in the communal areas.
- Anonymous (3/5): will not come again - 1. supermarket and restaurant nearby until late at night. convenience.
2. the representative was nice and helpful. 1. very very steep and narrow stairs, which the width is only half the sole of the foot. terrible for travelers with suitcase.
2. “fully equipped bathroom” - can’t agree at all when there is transparent glass in the bathroom! we need to find something to hide it while having shower. the heating is not work.
3. coffee machine available but no coffee provided.
4. the bed is very small and not recommend if you are not as slim as a model.
5. the window is out of function and can not be closed. Noisy and drunk people yelling outside every night.
- Audrey (9/5): A teeny tiny slice of paradise :) - Location was beyond amazing, could not ask for more. We walked everywhere the whole week. You are right in the middle of Rembrandt square and a 15 min walk from main museums. Also for how small the kitchen area was it was well stocked with items, tea cups and wine openers, utensils, etc. the host was very pleasant and communicative. There was a washer and dryer available as well! We ran out of toilet paper! The doors were difficult to get locked/unlocked, there was only one towel per person available, there were no extra garbage bags for the garbage. Also not having a microwave meant we couldn’t save any leftovers. Truly minor things that are easy to change and would make it a little more convenient!
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Hannah (6/5): Comfy bed, great location. Dirty communal hall, lack of toiletries/facilities, unfair 40 euro charge - Great location for exploring Amsterdam and the bed was really comfy. Bathroom was spacious and clean. The entrance to the place isn't explained on the advert - it's a communal hallway with extremely steep stairs up to the place and there is clutter and stuff everywhere and it's dirty.
There were no toiletries at all in the bathroom, not even hand soap.
There were green tea bags but nothing else, no normal tea or coffee.
The owner insisted on a 40 euro charge because our flight landed after 8pm though I read on here that other people negotiated the fee down - but they didn't do it for us.
The room is smaller than the photos indicate, and we also didn't get given the room we saw advertised in the pictures.
It's pretty noisy outside at night due to the central location.
- Rachel (8/5): Great location friendly owner - Location was absolutely amazing and staff we encountered to collect keys from were very friendly and helpful in identifying areas of interest in the local area. Bed was very comfortable and just enough room in the room for two people with minimal belongings. There were quite a few steep stairs to get to the room, so if you have particular difficulty with stairs may be a challenge but otherwise was fine and like many of the other buildings in Amsterdam. I would definitely stay again.
- Filipfpv (8/5): overall not great, not terrible - location and cosy bit dirty and cold, heater didn’t work
- Simona (7/5): Good -
- Marcelo (8/5): Very good -
- Murati (3/5): Poor - only the location was perfect the stairs were terrible, the cleanliness was poor, especially the bed. the room is smaller than in the photo.
- Mariame (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tlansford (3/5): Never again. - location... was excellent except that the location was also VERY noisy. The street below as full of cafes and bars with many people until 4am - 5am on Friday and Saturday night. Everything. Called a studio, but there was no real kitchen. The fridge was miniscule. The photos make the space seem much larger than it is in reality. It was very hard to organize my things in the room due to the small space. It was impossible to work in the room unless just lying on the bed with my laptop. The common space / stairs were filthy. The room itself was acceptably clean, but not great.
- Gaelle (9/5): Superb - Very cute studio
Abd perfectly located
