• Gavin (10/5): Great base in Fier for visiting archaeological sites in the area - I had a great four-night stay at Sazani’s Place. The 1BR flat is comfortable and bright, the kitchen is well equipped, there’s plenty of hot water in the shower, the WiFi is strong, and there’s a nice sofa in the living room. A Big Market supermarket is nearby for groceries, and the centre of Fier is a 10-minute walk away. But best of all were the hosts, who live next door and are always available to answer questions on WhatsApp. I didn’t have a car and they helped me with public transport every day as I visited Apollonia, Byllis and the Ardenice Monastery.

Un caloroso benvenuto dai genitori della Host che ci hanno fin da subito fatto sentire come a casa nostra. Le appassionate parole della signora hanno accompagnato le indicazioni e la presentazione della casa. Anche il signore, molto educato, ci ha edotto di tutte le mecessita e le indicazioni da seguire per una serena serata in casa Il bilocale èarredato per ogni necessita con mobili nuovi; la pulizia è impeccabile. Edificio dotato di televisore, modem ed aria climatizzata sia in salone che in camera da letto. Il bagno come nuovo , pulito e dotato di asciugamani. Ci hanno offerto una bottiglia di acqua ed una colazione tradizionale con Burek ed una focaccia, davvero deliziose. Era anche disponibile del caffe in moka. Che dire… provare per credere!!!!!!

• AniiKa (8/5): Nous avons apprécié notre séjour à Fier. - L’appartement est très confortable, calme et bien équipé. Il est à dix mn à pied du centre-ville. Les hôtes sont adorables. Pas mal de commerces à proximité. Bouteilles d’eau et plateau de fruits frais à notre arrivée. L’immeuble est un peu vétuste et l’appartement situé au 3ème étage.

The owners were so welcoming and kind, they went above and beyond even offering us delicious lemon tea and bottled water. The place itself was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed for a restful night, and just a short walk from the center. The room was spotless, cozy, and comfortable. Definitely a place we’d return to because Sazani's place is a hidden gem! A fantastic experience and highly recommended!

• Leflef (8/5): Hidden gem at the center - Spacious apartment at the city center, really close to everything someone might need, well equipped kitchen facilities, feels like a true Balkan home. Friendly and smiley hosts, they speak Albanian and some Italian. Good communication via WhatsApp nevertheless. Clean and warm. Really nice mattress on the bed and a big comfortable sofa. Good WiFi access to the Internet. Although there is free Parking outside the building, someone might block you, typical Balkan situation, so you can always leave it at the main Street. Some tricks of the apartment might sound awkward to Western Europeans, but..welcome to the Balkans! There were only 2 TV channels available, a thing that has to be improved. Apartment is on the 3rd floor with no elevator, so somebody with restricted mobility will have to reconsider.

Recommend! - Nice location a few streets back from the city center itself, and a minute or so from a busy weekend market for groceries and fresh goods. Super friendly hosts, really responsive through Whatsapp and a pleasure to meet! Really good air conditioning and mosquito blinds on the windows for a restful night. A few parts of the nearby roads were under construction (though this will probably be completed not long after we left) which made it a bit hard to navigate the last few minutes, since we happened to be arriving when it was already dark - but only an issue because of our late arrival time. One of the hosts was even there looking out for us on the corner of the apartment street

• Kleandra (1/5): I wouldn’t return! - I recently stayed at this accommodation, and while it's centrally located and offers a comfortable bed, my overall experience was far from satisfactory. The surrounding area seemed unsafe, and I recommend checking Google maps before making a reservation. One major concern was the payment process. The staff was not trustworthy, accepting only cash with no receipts. I was unpleasantly surprised when they demanded an additional 7 euros for the third person, despite my initial booking confirmation for three. This left me feeling insecure, especially with unexpected midnight requests for extra payments. The cleanliness of the place was disappointing, with mold in the shower and short black hairs scattered around. It's evident that hygiene is not a priority. Despite the tempting low rates, I strongly caution against staying here. Opting for a 2-star hotel in the area might be a better choice; they typically accept cards, provide receipts, and offer a safer and cleaner environment.

The room was super clean and organized. 100 out of 10 and totally recommend it for everyone.They have also a kitchen too! Which is amazing for long stay.

Big size bed ,big cupboard and a kitchen where you can cook easily whatever.You can find whatever you may need and wifi for free.!It is only 3 min.( by foot )from the centre of the city and also close to super market,bakery,bank etc. Mis.Fiona is very kind and her lovely parents helped us with whatever we need.They also offered us cold water and watermelon when we arrived. Everything was perfect👌

The location was not convenient. Hard to find tucked around laneways. There we a lot of steps! We speak no Albanian and host had no English. It made life difficult. Host was very friendly. Neighbour gave us wrong info re forward travel.
• Edna (9/5): A confortable short stay - It is very central, very clean, with a comfortable bed and pillow. The kitchen is well equipped although I didn’t do any cooking. The owner was prompt in communication and there was a lovely neighbour who took me through the apartment on check in. A short walk to the city centre and a slightly longer walk to the bus station to Tirana. Especially appreciated is the map provided that detailed places of interest and transport hubs after I confirmed booking. Nothing.

• Lindsay (10/5): Spacious apartment with convenient location - A very spacious apartment, with one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in! Also the couch is pretty big and comfortable too. The apartment has everything you could need for your stay. Good location close to center. And the hosts are incredibly kind and great communication. We would be happy to return!
• Vdraceil (9/5): Excellent comfy and cozy apartment - Large comfortable bed with a working aircon. The place has a nice kitchen but I didnt cook anything though - a nice to have for most people, I guess. The whole apartment was very clean and well maintained. Location is excellent too - walkable to the bus stop to Pojan/Apollonia (the most likely most people come here), restaurants, cafes, etc. They also have a couple printed out sheets for travelers to know where & how to go to places of interest (restaurants, bus terminals, attractions, etc.). Owners were very friendly and helpful. Fiona's English is great and you wont face any communication problems. Overall a very pleasant stay. The shower pressure was too low for me - felt like drizzling, but thats really minor and fixable.

Just a couple of minutes to walk to the downtown area of Fier. the bed is large and VERY comfortable. the heat & hot water worked great for us. the living room is a great lounge area to sit back and relax. Fiona was great throughout our stay and was always quick to respond to us. Highly recommend!

Family was very friendly, offered us a drink upon arrival and explained everything. Daughter speaks good English. They gave us some local nuts when we left, very kind. The Sunday Market is just around the corner. Not many places to eat at night in the centre. We had to get used to throwing the toilet paper into a bin instead of the toilet but it’s apparently more common in Albania. No big issue. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
