Room was clean and all you need was there, especally whene travelling only with a hand luggage. I booked this hotel specifically because it had an outdoor pool. No one informed us that it was supposedly under construction. We could clearly see the pool from our window — it looked clean, full of water, and there was no visible construction happening at all. It made no sense that guests were not allowed to use it, even just for relaxing or sunbathing. The whole situation felt very strange. The hotel was even showing videos in the lobby promoting the pool area as a nice place to stay and relax, yet guests were not allowed access. One staff member even went to speak with the manager, but the answer was still no. We were told the pool was "under full construction," which simply did not appear to be true.

The boys at the reception helped us all the time, they we're very nice Food was excelent, delicious and with a Big variety of dishes. Sauna was great and clean. Thoug it has a shopping mall right in front, the place is calm, perfect to rest after a working day. 100 out of 100.......congratulations. God First, we Will come back😀😀😀

- 熊宇周 (8/5): 值得推荐 - 1.Wifi好评，非常稳定；2.酒店早餐不错，选择还可以；3.酒店地理位置很好，对面有个商场，超市购物或者吃饭，小坐都很方便。距离IFM展馆也不远，可以地铁到达。这点对出差的人非常重要。 1.酒店设施稍微老旧，可以明显看出来木制装饰的痕迹，还有洗手台的磕碰；2.酒店的电梯不知道什么原因，有2天时间只有1台能用，希望改进；3.卫生打扫不太彻底，第一天的行李标签，直到第三天才被清掉；4.插座规格有点区别，床头的插座只有比较新的转换插头才能用。

- Karima (6/5): For a five star hotel, it didn’t have the five star quality. - Close to the dentist The shower was poorly designed, water was flushing everywhere in the bathroom. They didn’t have enough toilet rolls in the bathroom, we had to keep asking for it. We got the iron , but next day they took it back and we had to ask for it again. They took the bath robes and we had to ask for it. The curtains were broken and floor was very dirty.

- noureenr367 (10/5): Good for comfort - The hotel is next to starcity mall, and close to different bus stops. If you want to go to see Hagia Sophia, grand bazaar, Galata tower, keep in mind that it takes more than an hour by bus from this hotel. The staff are very friendly and respectful including Asiya, she greeted me everyday during breakfast. I would say for the breakfast buffet, it would be nicer if they could switch out some of the items everyday because it started to get a bit boring and repetitive seeing the same food. Also more hot foods would be nice. Also make sure to bring sneakers if you want to use the gym because they kicked me out.

Se escuchaba todo de las habitaciones al lado y del pasillo! Por la mañana al despertar no podía entrar en el lavabo, la puerta se había auto-cerrado(ni llave habia)...he tenido que llamar a recepción a las 8am para que mensaden alguien arreglarlo. MUY desagradable.. he tenido que esperar 15-20min a alguien para poder entrar al baño de mi habitación! Jamás me había pasado algo así, y esto que viajo cada mes. El desayuno un desastre, no había mesas libres y todas sucias. Al levantarme para buscar 1 café me retiraron los platos, muy desordenados y una falta de coordinación increíble. Café malisimo.. Se puede encontrar mejor por este precio.

The sauna and the steam baths were under renovations, only the indoor pool was open,the water temperature was 31°C ,but it was cold. Far from the city center. - elenamQ3187YY (10/5): Very pleasant stay - I stayed there during Istanbul World Dance Congress. I was impressed by remarkably amiable and caring personnel. They kept asking me if everything was to my liking or if I needed something. I enjoyed delicious breakfast (baked cheesy zucchini was my favourite dish) and lovely background music in the restaurant. Cosy rooms, comfortable bed, quiet surroundings and light blocking curtains - all that is needed for restful sleep after night dance parties. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

- victorine (10/5): Overall, I had a great stay with excellent room cleanliness and welcoming staff. However, improvemen - A more dynamic and culturally inclusive breakfast menu would make a significant difference for international guests staying multiple days. One important consideration is the location. The hotel is situated quite far from downtown, which made commuting to main attractions and central areas time-consuming and less convenient. If you plan to spend most of your time in the city center, transportation logistics should be factored into your decision. A disappointment during my stay was that the spa was under construction. I was really looking forward to exploring and using the spa facilities, as this was one of the features that influenced my decision to book the hotel. Unfortunately, this was not available during my visit. It would have been helpful if this information had been clearly communicated prior to arrival so guests could plan accordingly.

Great location right oppersite Star City Mall The Spa was having refurbishments, so was unable to use the soa facilities, but the gym was available, and the pool reopened a day before we checked out. Breakfast options were the same every day.

The property is absolutely beautiful, and our room was very large, comfortable, and well appointed. The bathroom and shower facilities were especially nice—spacious, modern, and spotless. Everything throughout the hotel was extremely clean. The staff truly made our experience even better. Everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, handling all of our requests quickly and professionally. We also used room service for a few meals, and the food was very good and delivered promptly to our room. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with an excellent variety of fresh and delicious options each morning. The staff at breakfast were attentive and even offered helpful suggestions on what to see and do while visiting Istanbul. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend Istanbul Gönen Hotel!

I especially want to mention Asiya from the staff — she was so kind and helpful, always smiling and ready to assist.
