Guest Reviews
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Filip (1/5): Bad - The owners tried to be helpful but lied about the bed bugs in the apartment. Watch out for bed bugs! In this apartment I met adult bedbugs and their eggs near the bed.
The staircase smells musty and sewage. In front of the front door lurks a cloud of mosquitoes. We were bitten the first night, then the owner gave us mosquito repellent.
The owners claim there are no bed bugs, but if I see something that looks, moves, lays eggs and bites the skin like a bed bug it is most likely a bed bug.
- Elena (1/5): Worst experience ever - Location was good Extremely Dirty and cheap place, very unpleasant and rude landlord. Terrible experience
- Ali (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is very comfortable and its location is excellent. The problem is with the external key. There are several boxes and everyone can open them. It would be better if there was one box for the apartment on the door.
- Marta (6/5): For one night it was fine -
- Fisher (8/5): Very good -
- Paolo (8/5): Very good -
- Joanna (8/5): Very good -
- Bryan (9/5): Superb - The room was cozy and nicely decorated. The shared common area have good facilities which feel homey. The location of the property was great and very accessible. I would stay here again! There's a lack of signage to the property although we have no issue because we researched the location earlier. The entry instructions could be better as it can be confusing. The main door can be loud in opening/closing.
- Andrés (8/5): Very good - Great location close to the Acropolis. Check-in was flawless and the property is close to shops and restaurants. Not the fanciest facilities but meets all expectations for a short stay where you're out most of the day. No issues with other people staying. AC and Wifi worked well. Shared shower was a bit confusing to operate but we figured it out nonetheless.
- Rahmi (8/5): Very good -
- Orla (8/5): Very very stressful trying to rece the code to gain access. Booking.com kept repeating my email addr - Location was excellent, very safe & close to everything Booking.com were impossible to deal with & no code was sent to me until 7pm when I was actually at the premises
even though I made every effort to communicate with them over the previous 2 days
- Sharon (6/5): Pleasant - Location is good The shower is really bad. The shower itself is very hard to operate and hot water takes 20+ minutes. There are 3 populated bedrooms (6 people) so it means you wait a long time. We got there at midnight after a flight and had to take a cold shower…
Also the place is not well maintained and there are long notes and instructions posted everywhere- every wall covered with long and confused instructions. Not a great experience
- Mostafa (8/5): Very good -
- Panoraia (9/5): Superb -
- Swanya (8/5): Very good - Location was amazing! Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. To share a washroom. Sometimes I would see hair left in the skink that I'm assuming someone had shaved or so. Also there were dried up sponges on the ground. The heater was filled with dust. Otherwise, everything was working perfectly fine.
- Lang (8/5): nice - good location, warm interior decoration. checkin process is a little tricky.
- Kiara (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable and clean Confusing lock system
- Nicolò (9/5): Superb -
- Magali (8/5): Very good - Nice place, good location, comfortable and cosy room Bathroom maybe too basic to share with others
- Philippe (10/5): Great stay! - The host was flexible on check out and check in
- Evelyn (10/5): Exceptional - Very good treatment, comfortable apartment, everything is super clean, awesome location!
- Víctor (1/5): If you arrive late, this is not your place! Very bad check-in - The room and the flat in general was okay for the price of the flat. The room is spacious and the flat has a kitchen, if you like to cook. If you don't have problems with the check-in and getting the key of the building it's very nice. It is also well located, 15 minutes walking from the Acropolis. Unfortunately, all the people that stayed with us in the apartment had problems with the check-in... We arrived at 11 pm from the airport. When we were in front of the building, we realised that the owner didn't send to us the code of the keys of the building. We tried to contact them but no response. One neighbour that had the key of the building opened us. 45 minutes later they contacted us but we spent so much time, at midnight, in the street. The check-in process is a disaster. You cannot let people outside at night without the possibility of entering the building!! They didn't tell me also what of the 6 key boxes of the entrance was the correct, because there are 6 key boxes of other touristic flats.
We know that one woman that was using the apartment at the same time as us suffered the same thing. She managed to enter to the building because one neighbour opened her the door, also at midnight, and she stayed more than two hours waiting in the living room, because they don't let the key of the room on the door but under a vase!
To conclude, they are a disaster at the check-in. If your flight arrives late, you will be without help in the street at midnight. If you arrive at different hours, I suppose you will have the luck of getting in contact with them.
I cannot give more than a 1 because this situation was very stressful. This is the first time that I see that kind of things in a touristic apartment.
- Amanda (7/5): I would recommend for anyone needing/wanting access to full kitchen or the ability to do laundry - It is centrally located and clean and very comfortable. The check-in was not easy.
- Kate (6/5): Great location for someone in Athens for a short stay who wants to be close to tourist attractions, shops and restaurant - Once I found the property I had a pleasant stay. I like the self check in service and having access to a kitchen and washing machine. The property had everything I needed as a solo traveller. Finding the location was stressful. DO NOT type in the name of the property, rather type in the actual street address. I got extremely lost (because of the inaccuracy of the properties location on google maps) and it was not a pleasant experience, especially after a big travel day, being on your own. Once you get there, the information provided by the host is easy to follow.
The wifi is pretty temperamental.. cuts in and out a lot and isn’t overly good.
- Ionel (9/5): Superb -
- Meke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amer (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anette (8/5): Very good - Best location, friendly host and it went smoothly and reliably.
- Lasha (9/5): Superb -
- Rylands (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leigh (8/5): Very good -
- Dimitris (7/5): Good - i can not say anything about the property as i finally did not stay. too complicated acces system. couild not find any info about the code to the main entrance and nobody to help or assist. i needed to go and find the first hotel free in the hood . so i have nothing good or negative to say about the room as i have not stayed. you need to make the info and acces easier.
all this new system they confuse people more than help them. absolutely awful expierence as i left my check in for very late and i was too tired to find a way in. the info is too long message and the code that you need is right in end through lines. and when i got it it did not work.
- Ismo (10/5): Exceptional - Spatious room (biggest of the three),
small window but all clean and nice. An idea for future development : a sink in the room would be great.
- Beita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandy (6/5): Pleasant - Location in Syntagma was best thing about this place and the bed was comfortable. The whole experience of access to building and the apartment was a nightmare, from no keys in lock box outside building entry to the " Nukilok" system used to get out of apartment itself!! What happens if there's a problem with it, there's no way of getting out of apartment in case of fire etc! Also bathroom smell really off and only one 🪝 hook to hang towel /clothing. No natural light as shuttered window unable to be opened. Lists of rules everywhere would be appreciated if they were at least presented professionally not scribbled on pieces of paper taped everywhere.
- Vassia (10/5): Good - The location I haven’t realised that I booked a room in shared apartment until the booking was made and I received the email, and my expectations for a shared apartment where higher for this price
- Surendra (9/5): Superb -
- Lea (7/5): Good - Great location so central! Bathroom was quite dirty, bedding was dirty
- Maine (10/5): The place is near restaurants. I just walked to Acropolis for 20mins. Very accessible. The bed was so comfortable. Place - It was very clean and organized. Comfortable bed and the whole vibe feels like home.
- Pavlos (8/5): Very good - Great location Cleaning lady came into the apartment 10 minutes before checkout to clean
- Ibrahim (9/5): Superb -
- Jan (8/5): Very good -
- Adina (3/5): Poor -
- Amir (2/5): A very disappointing stay with rude irresponsible hosts - Central Don't be fooled by the nice picture (I was). They invest in the looks, not substance. My room was nicely designed but had only one small window.
The bathroom is a joke. The shower is ugly though and doesn't work smoothly. They even put notes with instructions how to operate the handle instead of just fixing/replacing this old failing system.
By the way, there are many notes all over the walls and surveillance camera in the common areas (shared by guests from four rooms).
I wouldn't be so outspoken against the hosts. I travel a lot and don't want to hurt anyone's business, but these hosts were completely arrogant and actually rude, when they refused to take responsibility for the noise caused by construction work in the building. The fact that the guests cannot sleep late is not their concern and they refused to give a modest refund as compensation and said it's basically not their problem and the Greek law permits it. If a host cannot take responsibility of hosting when there are constructions in the building, I'm not going to ignore it (the way they do when I reached out or when Booking's rep contacted them).
So this place is highly unrecommended even with the low prices. The rates are low, but not outstandingly low. I stayed in many properties in Athens, much nicer and sometimes cheaper.
- Bruno (8/5): Unbeatable price for such an amazing location! - Amazing location! Super close to most local attractions. The room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. The host was very quick when answering my messages. No complaints!
- Fran (8/5): Very good -
- Brian (9/5): Superb -
- Jun (9/5): Superb - Great location, very relaxing and upscale neighborhood. Very very quiet room, I really enjoyed sleeping in after a long day walking in Athens. Self checkin at night was stressful. There were a lot of details about keys, passcodes, app,to download, etc. I was a bit frustrated by the tone of the host as well. It would be great to simply the instruction and include some pictures
- Dorottya (10/5): Exceptional - The location was excellent! The room was clean and tidy.
Tia & Mike were super helpful, while we had some difficulties with the self check-in and we could drop off the luggages before the check in time.
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teya (8/5): Amazing location in the heart of Athens. - Location was amazing. Room was big, had aircon and everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked and hosts provided a lot of helpful information, including a suggest itinerary to see the sights. The bathroom was a bit unclean, but not too unpleasant. There were really no other issues at all.
- W (8/5): Very good -
- Hannah (8/5): Very good -
- Sophie (8/5): Very good - Good location - relatively easy self check in. Nice room and size
- Muhammed (10/5): Exceptional - The location of the apartment is awesome, the staff is nice and always helpful. Shared bathroom.
- Amaryllis (7/5): Good -
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bronte (4/5): The room was large and nice but for the price, it felt like I was in a hostel. I would’ve preferred to pay €20 more to h - It was a nice location and relatively easy to enter I thought the shared bathroom and kitchen left a bit to be desired. The shower floor felt like it needed a good clean and was a bit slippery.
- Rebeca (5/5): I would not repeat - Location I contacted them to ask if I could leave my luggage before check-in and they didn't answer me, I phoned them and they answered me rudely and shouted at me (if you are interested, they don't let you leave your luggage before or after).
The flat is full of notes everywhere, you would need a whole year to read them.
It's all very impersonal, you have the feeling that they just want to get money out of you.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (9/5): Comfortable and affordable in the heart of the action - Very well located near the big sites and lots of nice bars and restaurants. It’s a shared apartment with a few other rooms and a shared bathroom, but I only say another guest once. My room was very large, the shower is nice and hot (you have to turn on the boiler in advance so plan ahead). Wifi was great for working. The Room had no real windows (but AC worked nicely and it bc as bright and large just zero natural light. The lock box to get in was difficult for me but I have long nails, thankfully someone was coming out bc there is no one on site.
- Catherine (8/5): very relaxing stay in the middle of a very convenient location - The location of the room was perfect, full in the middle of a very lively neigboorhood. The room was quiet big, we even had a sofa. Too many notes to read to understand how everything is working.
- Grace (9/5): Superb -
- Riemer (6/5): Lovely location! - Perfect location in the best neighnourhood. Owner really helped us well with the shower. As we had to share the bathroom, it was not clean enough. Cleaner did not clean well. Toilet waste bin was full. While cleaner was finished we still had to ask to clean the bathroom.
- Lancellotti (5/5): Passable - Location We really can't relate to the many excellent reviews. We had the feeling we were inside an escape room without our consent, trying to follow the thousands instructions for every single thing. Getting in the apartment was the first challenge, finding the key box and understanding what was the message we should follow, since we got about ten messages and also different box codes! Then inside the apartment at every corner post-it notes with instructions, some of them saying to read the instructions (!). To take a shower you have to turn on the boiler (of course following the instructions on the walls) and wait 15 to 20 minutes. Not welcoming at all.
- Vicki (7/5): Good -
- Olivia (9/5): Superb - Good location - about 15 min walk to the Acropolis and then only a block away from shopping. Had everything we needed. There were only 2 power plugs in the room and one was behind a big standing wardrobe so we had to move that out of the way so that both of us could charge our phones. The instructions to get into the place were also confusing and could have been made simpler for guests.
- Mona (10/5): Exceptional value - Pretty and clean very good value I guess a separate shower and toilet room would be nice but the bathroom was clean
- Mariya (9/5): it was a good stay for a short period of time - location was good, you share a bathroom with 2 other rooms, but it didn’t annoy me i woke up at 7am from the sound of construction and they couldn’t do anything about it. it was distributing
- Tiarne (8/5): Great location for short stay - Location was perfect! Could walk to everything. Restaurants, cafe and super markets. Also the tourist attractions. All within walking distance
Was good for our short stay before flying out from Athens Bed wasn’t very comfy but was very clean and tidy room.
- Zoe (9/5): Superb - The most perfect location. Very close to Plaka, felt safe at all times.
- Reha (9/5): Superb - The apartment is located in an excellent location. You are located within walking distance of many restaurants, bus stations and markets. The location is lively even past 11pm, which makes you feel safe and well-surrounded even when you are out late. The apartment itself is great. The shared kitchen and washroom was okay. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a lovely place to come to after long days of exploring Athens City. The unit has an AC which made it very well worth it for hot nights in Athens.
- Wenyun (9/5): good stay at a reasonable price - great location, great price shared bathroom
- Reeves (8/5): Very good - The location can't be beat, it is squarely between Syntagma Square and Monastiraki. It was also very clean and quiet. There was just a small hiccup where the host changed the code for the lockbox the day of and I didn't receive the update before I arrived. But I called and Tia was very responsive!
- Clara (3/5): Poor - great location. WE WERE LEFT WAITING ON THE STREETS FOR AN HOUR AT NIGHT TIME WITHOUT ACCESS TO THE APARTMENT. This was an awful experience. We had been sent 4 emails with an overwhelming amount of information prior to our arrival. The first email provided us the check in instructions. However, when we arrived, the code provided did not work. We were unable to get in contact with our hosts for over an hour as they were not answering their direct lines of contact (of which they only provided 1 phone number), and so we had to wait on the side of the road at night time. Once we finally got in contact with the host, we were told that they had not sent us the new access code as we never provided our passport details (which was requested at the bottom of one of the other emails, which we hadn’t seen). We understand that passport information is required, but we didn’t see this request and so the host should have contacted us when they didn’t receive it. The annoying thing is that the apartment was set up for us with our names on the door, so they knew we were coming, but they also knew that we didn’t have access to the building. Therefore this whole
situation could of been easily avoidable. We had a awful experience due to the hosts poor communication and organisation.
- Yanick (10/5): great - everything was perfect!
- Scott (10/5): Nice clean room in a shared apartment near Syntagma - Just spent the night before flying out of Greece. The room is near the express bus to the airport. Clean, cute room. Shared kitchen, common space, and bath. All the other guests were friendly and quiet. This is a self-checkin. The code that I received didn't work. Fortunately another guest let us in so it wasn't a problem and I didn't need to text the owner. Perhaps the owners sent an update that I didn't see. I would double check the code the night before next time, just to be safe.
- Jaspal (6/5): very good value for someone on a budget as location is five stars - Location is 5 stars
The apartment is reasonable value for money.
You get what you pay.
otherwise pretty decent for a couple on a tight budget, The only main complaint is that the room is in a side street and the sound of birds chirping very loud indeed woke us up at 6am. If you are a light sleeper then bear this in mind. We spoke to the owner who offered a refund but it was difficult to get a room last minute
- Emanuele (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gaynor (9/5): Perfect spot for a visit to Athens - The room was comfortable and well equipped. it was close to everything I wanted to see and the transport links were excellent nothing
- Zohya (10/5): Great Room in Central Athens - Clean, spacious, great value. Location could not be better - v central but quiet too
- Orlando (9/5): Superb -
- Christine (9/5): Super Cozy, Great Location & Great Communication! - Host is super quick to respond and very helpful/friendly! The room was beautiful, I didn't want to leave the room because I was so comfortable in it and loved the design, decor, comfort etc.
Was lucky to share the apartment with 3 friendly guests - we all got along and were sad to say bye to each other. Kitchen and fridge definitely came in handy! The "2 in 1" washer/dryer also comes in handy although I didn't use it.
Location LOCATION!!!! Steps away from everything!!! The room I had didn't have a nice window view BUT the birds singing beautifully every day made it up.
- Rebecka (9/5): Overall great - Lovely apartment with three bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and bathroom with provided soaps! My bedroom was cosy and beautiful, and the location is perfect! Couldn't find my bedroom keys upon arrival. They had been hidden in the apartment, and I wasn't told where. The same thing happened with another guest, her keys were in a different hiding spot.
Also, it's written everywhere that checkout is at 11am, and I had an afternoon flight, so planned to stay in my room until 11, but the maids arrived just after 10 and walked right into my room and started cleaning, so I was forced to leave early.
- Rasa (7/5): Good - Location is perfect. The room was nice and clean. Apartment is very noisy. Even If you try to close the doors as silence as possible, it's still very noisy. Bathroom was not clean, many dusts and other dirty spots.
- Irene (8/5): Very good - The bed was super comfy! It’s just like a hostel only anonymous, not social.
Just one bathroom for three rooms, sometimes had to wait.
- Indra (10/5): Exceptional - The location is great, everything you need to do is in walking distance. I cannot see what I did not like. Athens is a great city and it met all my expectations. Great city and I am looking forward to visit again sometime.
- Melanie (10/5): Excellent, cosy accommodation right in the middle of the city. - Incredible price & location. The host, Tia, was lovely and responsive. Shared areas were cleaned daily and we barely saw the other guests staying at the property, it felt very private and safe. Not much - if you're happy to share a bathroom, you won't regret your stay here!
- Jason (1/5): overall their service was disgusting , the property was ok - location was good, bed was soft, facility was ok. #1 i thought I was overcharged, by either booking.com or by the property, wrote in a few times to both, they replied but didn’t respond to my question. ( I was charged higher than what we had agreed on)
#2 I couldn’t find my key at about 6pm so i couldn’t get into my room. Wrote to the property and they wanted me pay EUR300 in advance in order to send in someone to me with a new set of keys( my room rate was 20EUR)
#3 there are unfriendly notes too many times in the flat. I wish they could fix the minor problems like broken handlers @‘kitchen / bathroom, leaking water heater etc instead of putting so much efforts on these nasty and inconsistent notes.
#4 check-in info in regard to retrieve the key was dated, I had to call , and they didn’t answer phone calls at all.
- Amra (4/5): Location top with comfy rooms - clean, nice staff, lots of descriptions, comfortable rooms, top location Shared apartment there are 2 other rooms and bad isolation, there’s a reason why ppl travel alone and here you can hear everything in other areas/rooms, birds neighbors other guest’s snoring… construction workers start early and finish late… terrible for sleep; in the kitchen only plates cups glasses and so on but not for cooking even though there’s an oven; bathroom too small for 3 rooms like imagine every room is filled with max capacity? no way! 8 ppl for this bathroom? toilet in the bathroom too so you have to wait when free.. men don’t put the toilet thing down… more for Airbnb purposes not very professional for booking
- Redon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Florian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael2006 (9/5): Superb - Really well located right in the old city of Montsaraki. The room was specious, good wifi for HO, quiet guests, well equipped kitchen.
- Anastassia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Siqi (10/5): The price is cheap and the location is excellent. Super safe. Roommates are very polite and quiet. Everything you could - Well equipped, everything you want nothing
- Baha (10/5): Exceptional - thanks for everything.
- Anna (9/5): Superb -
- Jack (8/5): Very good -
