Guest Reviews
- Evgeny (10/5): - Wonderful stay! Clean, we could use some kitchen facilities. Perfect for a short stay! Nothing.

- Paloma (10/5): - A anfitriã foi muito acolhedora!
- Chris Matthews (10/5): - Perfect location, Maru is an absolute gem and beautiful hospitality. Walking distance to everything needed.
Highly recommended. Nothing was perfect for me and my partner.

- Gabriele (9/5): - Die Vermieterin war ausgesprochen nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Versucht alles möglich zu machen.was sehr hilfreich war.
- Chandani (9/5): Great place to land - Great place to land after a long flight. The area is very quiet at night and I found the bed comfortable and felt safe being in Maru’s home. There is a great fish restaurant round the corner called Pescaditos and just across the main roads is Jugos Quetzales to get fresh juice in the morning. The staff are super lovely at both. Easy to get a Uber from here to the port or ADO bus station. Maru was very helpful with any questions I had. It’s not super central but that worked well for me as I wanted somewhere quiet to sleep off the jet lag!

- Anida (10/5): Exceptional - This stay was perfect. A very very nice and polite host. It is a bit remote, but for people woth thr car easily reached and safe to park outside.
- Itzik (1/5): I feel like it’s a fraud, I never expected that the owner will stay and live in the house while we’re staying there - Nothing The owner lives in the house,
you get only a small bedroom ,
no privacy.
- Oleksandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Saad (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing host, very kind and helpful, great location in downtown
- David (9/5): Superb -

- Philipp (10/5): Very friendly host! - The host was outstanding friendly, waited for us to check-in even though we arrived very delayed at night and gave us helpful advice. Simple but clean room, good value for the money! Nothing
- Maleen (10/5): Would stay again - Maru was very kind and we had a peaceful night. I would stay here again.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Bradford (10/5): Perfect jump point to Cancun. - I like staying in someone’s house when it’s like this.
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Célia (10/5): Exceptional - I had a perfect stay at Maru's place! She is the most welcoming and kind person, communicates very well, gives a lot of advices. As a solo female traveler, I really appreciated that she offered to pick me up herself from the airport in exchange for a fee. Would warmly recommend!
- Ashleigh (10/5): Exceptional -

- Hammer (10/5): Exceptional -

- Chiara (10/5): Great for a short stay in Cancun - The owner was super friendly and available to answer all our questions.
- O (8/5): Perfect for a brief stay. - Lovely and kind host who was very patient when my flight was delayed. The room is perfect for a brief stay - a little bit away from main part of Cancun.
- Relek (10/5): Maru is a lovely person, she helped us with everything we needed during our first stay in Mexico, s -
- Gutierrez (8/5): Very good -
- Hernandez-reyes (10/5): Excelente estancia - Our staying was amazing, the Ms. that attended us was very attentive and nice.
- Francisco (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (7/5): Simple room to stay the night before/after your flight. - Simple amenities, yet very thankful for the A.C. Found ourselves within walking distance of at least one (& reports of two) delicious vegan joints. Host's shuttle service not available on Sunday. Learn from our mistake and take the ADO bus to downtown Cancun, located an hour's walk away from the BnB. Take a ~$150-200pesos taxi from there (not the airport, where the taxis charge an extortionate $1350pesos & lie about the time /cost from the bus station).
- Sarah (9/5): Maru is a fantastic host, would stay again - Maru, the host, was so lovely, she did a shuttle service from Cancun Airport which was brilliant and way cheaper than a taxi so would recommend asking her for this. Her home Casa los verde is amazing, perfect for what you need and she made us feel so welcome and at home. She has loads of brilliant recommendations for Cancun (off the tourist routes), we were so sad we only had one night with her! Nothing
- Anonymous (10/5): perfect way to end a trip in Mexico - Marus home was gorgeous and homely and in a lovely gated community of Cancún, away from the hussle and bussle of the city, she was so helpful and welcoming and offered a lovely family environment nothing
- Thomas (9/5): Really nice earth - Really nice person with a good heart. When we left, she gave a little present to my wife which is pregnant.
The room had a fan and an air conditioner and Maru speaks good English for non Spanish speakers.
I do recommend this place, thanks a lot.
Regards
- Niamh (9/5): Superb -
- Isabel (10/5): Exceptional - We were so lucky to stay here on our first night! We ran into some trouble with our credit cards and ended up with no money to begin our trip with. Maru was incredibly kind and even lent us money to buy dinner until we managed to sort things out. In the morning, she provided us with some fresh fruit :)
The neighbourhood felt very safe (the place is part of a gated community) and our room was clean and comfortable.
We would definitely stay here again. Nothing!
- Maksym (9/5): Good place with good host. -
- Jennifer (10/5): Comfortable, smooth, convenient. - This was perfect and convenient for an overnight stay in Cancun while in transit to the airport early the next morning. Maru was very helpful and accommodating, and helped with transport to the airport. The room is clean and comfortable. Nothing.
- Theresa (9/5): Superb - Maru is a very kind host. She gave good recommendations where to grab a bite to eat (great vegan restaurant in walking distance). She also gave us a ride to the airport early in the morning (5 am) for 500MXN, which is the standard rate at that time and for the distance.
It is a private room within Maru's house, so not the typical hostel/hotel, rather like an Airbnb but definitely a very good option! You have your private bathroom and are allowed to use the kitchen (even though we didn't make use of it since we only stayed for a night). Everything was great! For people who might want to explore the city it might be located too far out of the center and away from the beach strip but for people who are looking for a place conveniently located to reach the airport, this is a good option.
- Sarah (10/5): Maru is a super nice and lovely Host! -
- Anne (8/5): Very good - It’s a room in a woman’s house, what I typically book on Airbnb (not Booking.com), free coffee in the morning and possibility to refill water.
- Adam (9/5): Superb - Owner was very polite and helpful. She gave us a lot of advices.
- Alina (9/5): Superb - Close to the airport, very clean, friendly and helpful host.
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional - everything was perfect. super host !!!!
- Mahaut (10/5): best deal - Maru is the best host possible in Cancún
- Leonie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tereza (8/5): Great first night in Cancun, welcoming host and safe neighborhood - The owner was super nice and welcoming. There was filtered water and some fresh fruit. She also gave us tips to where to go swimming (Playa Chac Mool). The location is great, not far from the airport and from that public beach. The room was quite hot but there was a fan so quite ok. It’s in a residential area so you can hear the neighbors doing all sort of things throughout the night and dogs barking but it is a safe area.
