Guest Reviews
- Nikita (8/5): - Pili and her family are lovely and generous, and it was great staying with them for a few days. Pili helped us organise our visit to Ushuaia and personally did our airport transfers for a low cost. The bedroom was very comfortable and the house was located a short walk from town. We had a great stay and felt it was really good value for money. Do pay attention to other reviews - this is essentially a home stay and other than the private bedroom, you will be sharing other spaces with a family (and their friendly dog, Adolfo). The shower water never got hot, only warm. You weren’t allowed to use the kitchen so other than breakfast which is provided, we did need to eat all other meals out.
- Alejandro (10/5): -
- Yazmin (10/5): Hermosa estancia!!!
- Josh (9/5): -
- Mayorga (7/5): precio calidad acorde.
Bohužel nelze platit kartou a výběr z bankomatu v Argentině není legrace.
- Kinga (8/5): Bardzo polecam pobyt. Odpowiadającą jakość cenię. - Najlepiej oceniam właścicieli, którzy ułatwili i umilili nam pobyt w Ushuaia.
- Julien (10/5): -
- Claudia (10/5): - La cordialidad de los dueños
- Asogan Loganathan (10/5): - Friendly host, and help I had to leave
- Riccardo (10/5): - Staying at Casona Los Arri does not feel like staying in an Hotel. It feels like staying in a family. Nothing
- JOSUE ISAAC (10/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): - We really enjoy this place and stades 6 days !
The place is really nice, confortable and you even have the view on the sea and the mountains. The owners are the cutest people in the world! They are helpful, kind and welcoming. They even drive you to different places to go hiking if you need.
The breakfast is excellent, we had the chance to taste their homemade bread!
- Tatiana (10/5): -
- Catalin (9/5): -
- Orozco (10/5): - La hospitalidad y atención al detalle
- Maj (5/5): - Clean, good breakfast, good wifi The hostess said she offered the cheapest transportation so we accepted. In the end, she gave us a price that was 2x more expensive than Uber. She charged 80,000 pesos for 4 people to get to Laguna Esmeralda and back, while Uber would have cost 32,000 pesos for 4 people.
- John (8/5): Excellent Hosts - Robert and Pili are excellent hosts. They're very friendly and helpful. Excellent continental breakfast.
Our room was small with two single beds, so no storage. Bathroom was shared with another room, but was kept clean by the hosts.
- Remko (9/5): Great stay at friendly family home - Pili and her husband Robert were very friendly hosts with lots of tips. The room was comfortable and facilities were clean. We also liked their adorable Labrador Alfonso. Good place if you like to experience Argentinian life.
- Christopher (10/5): Absolute must stay in Ushuaia - nos vemos! - Honestly lost for words at how kind and caring the hosts are. Pili and her husband are such genuine people who will look after you and provide all the information you could possibly need to explore Ushuaia. Their place really feels like a home and is so cosy and warm. The showers are hot, bathroom is spacious. The place is small enough that there are only a few guests so you only share the facilities with a couple others so you never have to wait! They are the sweetest, chattiest people at Casona Los Arri and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Ushuaia.
The breakfast is lovely, good fruit salad and home made bread for toast with spreads, juice, tea, coffee. The room is comfortable and spacious, pretty sure the mattress is memory foam?? Needed after all the hiking in Patagonia. The dog Adolfo is adorable.
They have maps, recommendations, tips on all of the activities, hikes and parks in Ushuaia. Pili is happy to drop you off and pick you up anywhere in town, the airport or to the start of the hikes for a cheaper price than Ubers/taxis. The walk to the city centre is only 15 minutes max. There’s a huge shopping centre and supermarket nearby just a few minutes down the road.
I can’t recommend this place enough, gracias por todo 🫶
- Liubov (4/5): Disappointing - Good Wi-Fi. Located 20 min walking to the center. They provide excursions. The place is heating too much. No oxygen at all. "Sauna" We opened the small windows, didn't help. The room was facing the road. Very noise. Dogs barking, vehicles passing. Breakfast, unhealthy.
- Dorien (10/5): Exceptional - Pili and her husband are super simpatic persons.
If you want to know all about Ushuaia.
You should go to there.
The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was good.
Next time I will come back.
Me incante mucho. Nada
- Jacopo (8/5): Very good -
- Amelia (6/5): Nice family home - not a hotel. - Friendly hosts. This is not a hotel and the ad is misleading. It is a family home - they are lovely, but it doesn’t have the facilities it claims. You are only allowed to shower at limited times of the day. There’s no mini fridge in the room or kettle etc like the ad says. There is no 24 hour reception although the family is very responsive over WhatsApp. Even though it was warm we were not allowed to turn the bedroom heater off and so the room was boiling hot, with the windows barely able to open.
It is about a 20 minute walk from the main town - along the beach which is not a very nice walk.
- Yong (10/5): Exceptional - Pili and Robert are great hosts and they make every effort to make guests feel at home. Highly recommend the accommodation to anyone who doesn’t want to spend a fortune on hotels. Adolf, the dog, makes you relaxed and welcomes you as a member of the family.
- Alin (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts are very welcoming and helping you with anything you may need, making your arrival and staying really easy. They are receiving you like a friend, not guest :) easy communication via whatsapp.
Plus the room had a nice montain view.
- James (9/5): Lovely stay in family home - Very friendly, well heated accommodation. It's a room in their house which is very clean. There is a kitchen which I think we could use but we didn't need to. Despite our lack of Spanish, communication was good! Friendly and chilled dog. Nice view of a mountain from the window. It's a bit further out - 20min walk from city centre or 4mins in car. Still very doable.
- Oscar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anja (10/5): Like a home stay - You really feel like you are at home! Nothing
- Pablo (10/5): My boyfriend and I stayed at Casona Los Arri for 4 nights and to be honest I wish I had stayed many more days! Pili, Rob - The room, the hostess, the dog😍 Nothing. It couldn’t have been better .
- Annemarie (9/5): Superb - It’s a great place run by really nice people. We adored the dog! Location, it’s a little for from the center but it’s easy to get an Uber or walk (25min)
- David (7/5): Affordable HOMEstay - It was very affordable. It was homely. Fine for a short stay will no frills. Room description said that the rooms have kitchenettes, they don’t. It is one kitchenette to be shared by all rooms. We weren’t allowed to turn off the heating. The description makes it sound like a B&B but it is definitely a homestay with associated sounds and sharing of facilities. Overall it was fine just not what we had anticipated.
- B&b (9/5): Superb - Lovely stay, hosts help a lot.
- Mazal (4/5): It was ok. I like to have my privacy when I travel. - The owners were very friendly, warm and welcoming. The description was not accurate. It was stated that it was a hotel. The owners live there and the bathroom is shared with the owners and other guests. There is another room on first floor with a very small bathroom. Breakfast is very minimal.
- João (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nadja (10/5): Exceptional - Very helpful, honest and lovely people! Feels like beeing at home.
- Maximilian (7/5): Homestay in Ushuaia - - Big room
- Comfortable Bed
- Always found a spot to park our car nearby
- Friendly host (Spanish language only) - Small shower with low water pressure
- Shower/Bathroom really, really small and narrow below the stairs
- If you are allergic to dogs, you should look for a different place
- 15 minutes footwalk to the city center
- Sparano (10/5): Exceptional - Excelente la atencion
- Romel (10/5): Very welcoming and accommodating hosts. - Pili and Robert are both very knowledgeable about the area and they recommend things to do with precision. Their services are very affordable, and usually what they are very friendly. I stayed in the room with private bathroom.
- Joanne (8/5): An affordable, homely stay in Ushuaia - Lovely hosts, so friendly and kind. They even offered to pick us up from places around the town and they dropped us off on a few occasions. The hosts make you feel like you're at home within their home. Shower was warm and the facilities clean. Breakfast is good too. A short 20 minute walk to the centre which was great for walking off dinner and we felt completely safe whilst walking as well. This stay feels like a home stay and you're made to feel extremely welcomed by everyone. We really enjoyed it! We liked everything however be aware that where our room was in the house was next to the shared bathroom which meant we could hear every time someone used the room. All part of having a shared bathroom so didn't bother us too much
- Iona (10/5): amazing hosts! - Pili and Roberto were amazing. They are so kind and made us feel completely at home. They had excellent advice on what to do and helped organize a boat trip and the train to the end of the world. They also picked us up from the airport and drove us out to lake Esmeralda for a small charge. They also were very patient with us as our Spanish is not amazing and made us feel so relaxed. The breakfast was also delicious! . I would 100% recommend staying here! Nothing
- Edward (10/5): Made Ushuaia even better. - Pili and Robert were lovely hosts. They made us feel so welcome into their homes. The room was lovely and always warm - modern, clean, and we were provided towels. Roberts cooking was delicious. Pili gave us so many tips on what to do in Ushuaia such as the hikes and the boat journey. Pili also gave us a real insight into Argentine which made into a real wholesome experience. They have an amazing dog as well. Location is further out but we didnt mind that.
- Carlos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tostaky (9/5): Nice family house - It's a private house so you share it with a family. Very nice owner but speaking only Spanish. I had a room with a double bed, shared bathroom. The room was very clean and warm. A bit outside of the city center, 30 minutes walk. Breafast could be better.
- Gordon (9/5): Superb - The hosts are warm and considerate. Breakfast is quite good.
- Marina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cameron (10/5): Thank you so much Pili and Robert, you made our stay unforgettable by being the most amazing hosts. Would recommend ever - Pili and Robert made our stay so special from the moment we arrived, from advising us on the best activities to partake in, to dropping us to locations based around Ushuaia which made our stay that much more enjoyable, as it removed any worry when trying to find transport around town. Thank you both for making us feel so welcome and comfortable in your gorgeous home!
- Elaine (9/5): I feel like home when I stay with them. - I like the host, they are supper friendly. I feel like I have a family in Ushuaia, They pick me up from the port and send me off to the airport. I love their breakfast, especially the home baked bread. None
- Maggie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maggie (8/5): Very cozy private room in a family house - Pili and Robert are amazing and kind hosts. They were always eager to help out, give us restaurant/activity recommendations and advice on how to move around. Pili is more than willing to help booking tables at local restaurants and other activities like boat rides or city tours. They also cook meals at the house and offer rides to and from popular trails or the airport at a very low price which was super convenient. Breakfast was good, including toast, croissants and fruit salad. Location is great, 15min walking distance from city center. The house has three guest rooms and is shared with the family that lives there. We got the room downstairs which was right next to the living room and front door so it could be very noisy at times. We requested a double bed but we got two separate ones put together. We had a private bathroom in the room but its more like a stall with the shower in it as well. So everything got wet when we showered and we had to dry it afterwards. Its not too bad but its inconvenient. (not sure if the upstairs rooms have the same issue). The hosts did mention they are planning on renovating this part soon so hopefully this will be improved.
- Verosac (7/5): Good - Very friendly helpful couple running the bnb.
Warm & clean
Comfortable bed 20 minutes walk to central Ushuaia. Great place if you have a car
- Jocelyn (9/5): Superb - Very friendly hosts that offered their services for some day trips. Breakfast, especially their home baked bread was amazing. Cute dog. Location was a little far from the central area.
- Reuben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linzi (8/5): Lovely hospitable host in a clean and comfortable B & B. - Pili was a very welcoming host and suggested things to do in Ushuaia.
- Traveler987 (10/5): Exceptional - THE PLACE TO BE!!
We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed it so much! The rooms are really clean, the bed is really comfortable, the breakfast was great!
And not to forget: the hosts were amazing! We felt like part of the family, they were so friendly and helpful. They invited us watching a football game together and we were just sitting together and cheering for the Argentinian football team. They so offer transports to the airport or in the national park for fair prices. It's a 10 min walk to the city center of ushuaia - for us perfect for a little walk in the evening for having dinner. The area is really safe, so no need to fear.
100 % recommended!! Thank you for this great stay!! :) Katharina y Jan -
- Maria (8/5): Nice stay - The localisation was good, close to the city and the biggest supermarket Anonima. It was warm in the room. The breakfast was prepared freshly every day and it was enough for us. The shower in the room was Hongkong's style, so it means that after use everything in the bathroom was wet. Although the shower was not great the hosts compensated it by their hospitality. During our stay we learned how to prepare yerba mate. And when our driver who was to take us to the airport didn't come (don't make our mistake and don't use Civitatis and their local provider Tiempo Libre!) the host took us to the airport. It was the only place during our trip to Argentina where I was asked to pay in dollars, not in pesos.
- Martina (2/5): Avoid if you can - The hosts are very friendly, and gave us some info on places to see/ where to eat. They also helps if you need to call a taxi. They have a very nice and friendly dog. Unfortunately that’s about it on the positive side. The bedroom is right next to the dining room, so we have been woken up very early by other guests who wanted to go for a sunrise walk/leave early. Also, if someone is watching tv in the evening/night, you’ll hear everything as the tv is just outside the bedroom. The room is by the street, so you may be woken up by cars passing by during the night.
The bathroom was not a real bathroom - there is no shower box, so if you want to take a shower you’ll wet everything in the toilet. Also, the bathroom “door” is smaller than the door frame, so there is literally no privacy when you are in the toilet.
Also, owners want payment in US dollar, so you’ll need to carry dollars and won’t benefit from the exchange rate.
- Inge (10/5): Exceptional - The whole family was involved in running this property and they were wonderful-very nice people. One day took us to the National Park and we had a great time. The room was fine. we slept well in the king size bed. Breakfasts were good and varied.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - This was like a home from home, a very big welcome from the host, N/A
- Arka (10/5): Excellent, will recommend - Overall accomodation & hospitality of the owners NA
- Tim (9/5): Superb - Lovely stay with the Arri family. Super helpful, giving tips about activities and helping organizing everything. Perfect stay in Ushuaia. On a short walking distance from the center (1,5km)
