- Nicola (10/5): Fabulous base for a city break - Excellent location, walkable distance to most attractions, host was really helpful in suggesting things to do and places to eat.
Really comfortable and a good size, particularly for the price in the centre of Amsterdam!
- Constantin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jason (7/5): Great location - Great location Stairs to access the apartment where very steep and small.
- Whave (7/5): Good - The location is very good, easy access to all the transportation Stairs are a challenge for seniors !a bit noisy at times, TV not working.
- Ety (10/5): Exceptional - Great location
The room is big and clean
- David (5/5): Passable - The location The standard of the accreditation plus the difficulty in liaison with the staff.
- Dziabek (10/5): Nice and quiet place to stay, thank you - was easy to find and localisation great to me. Very simple self check in/out. Air conditioning system not effective - hot
- Kacper (8/5): Everything fine, cozy room, very good location. - Everything you need is in area around 2 km so perfect location. Metro and trams around but I suggest walking and exploring the city.
- Andrey (4/5): The apartment was disappointing due to loud construction, poor noise insulation, lack of natural light, cleanliness issu - Location is fine Our stay was disappointing due to several issues. There was ongoing construction in the building across the street, starting as early as 6 AM, making it nearly impossible to sleep. The apartment has no noise insulation, so you hear everything from both outside and inside the building.
The photos are misleading in terms of lighting—being on the first floor and surrounded by buildings, the apartment is much darker than it appears online.
Upon arrival, there was a strong smell of mold at the entrance. The staircase is extremely narrow, and the carpet on the stairs is visibly filthy and seems like it has never been replaced.
The apartment itself was just okay, but it lacks a kitchen, has only a tiny sink, and to our surprise, one of the plates was left dirty and hidden under the clean ones.
The coffee maker was dirty and had no coffee pods.
Would not recommend unless these issues are addressed.
- Tammen (9/5): Superb -
- Himanish (8/5): Cosy stay. Good and communicative host. - Very good location from the Central Station and neat. A cleaner staircase
- Joanna (8/5): Very good -
- Ryan (8/5): Very good -

- Jaime (8/5): Very good -
- Myat (6/5): Ok if you don’t bring big luggage - Location and the host is very friendly No lift, and very narrow stairs. I struggled with our luggage. Small bed.
- Mrs (9/5): Superb -
- Aleksandra (10/5): Awesome stay, I would highly recommend it! - The location is great, we walked to every destination we wanted to see, because it’s near, but there are tram stations in front of the apartment. The apartment is in the center but yet, the street is quiet. It’s also clean and really nice!
- Birsen (8/5): Very good -
- Paolo (10/5): Exceptional - The studio is perfectly located in the city centre of Amsterdam. It is a very cozy studio, located in a historical building. Perfect stay for couples or two people visiting the city. Totally recommended!
- Sofoklis (6/5): Pleasant - location, big apartment the mattress, it was cold and the sound insulation
- Joanne (6/5): Studio apartment in central location - Easy to take in hand, good contact with the renter, pleasant studio apartment Dirty entrance, one small hand basin, minimal facilities
- Middlebro (8/5): Very good - Loved the location it was perfect, there were so many great restaurants and things to do and see. It was very close to Amsterdam central so getting around was super easy and accessible. Not much.
- Barbara (4/5): Disappointing - Karol, the young woman who helped us, was very nice and exceptionally kind and helpful. The studio wasclean. The stairs were extremely narrow and winding and dirty. The railings were not on all parts of the stairs so we were forced to put our hands on the filthy carpet. The studio was very bare, no amenities at all for over 250 euros a night. It does not deserve four stars
Two stars would be right.
- Johan (9/5): A great homey apartment in an excellent location - The host was excellent. She was friendly and laid back, felt immediately like chatting with a friend and invited to stay in a real studio home.
Location was superb; it’s literally in the middle of the city, where everything is by walking distance & close to Amsterdam Centraal.
The unit is situated on a cul-de-sac, an undiscerning looking building, just one floor up. It gives a sense of privacy & it is very quiet. Some reviewers complained about the sound coming from surrounding units but honestly it’s nothing you’ll go crazy about.
Overall if you enjoy feeling like going back to a home with easy access to everywhere but a slice of quietness in busy Amsterdam, you might like this place. One of the windows faces a street lamp, and with no curtains nor blinds on that particular window, it can get quite bright at night. But you could just wear a sleeping eye mask or sleep facing the other end of the bed to avoid the glare in.
The stairs are very narrow too, but it’s just a floor up.
- Johannus (8/5): Very good - The location is easy walk from Central Station, and in the heart of the old town.
Easy check in.

Appartment is clean and nice!
- Slawomir (9/5): Superb -
- Megan (9/5): Perfect - just do it! - Brilliant! Everything was spot on! Great communication, great check-in, comfy bed, central location down a quiet dead end lane, so no thru foot traffic - only a bike hire place. Recommend to all
- Dan (8/5): Great value for money in the best location - A great location, the nicest host, and the best value for money. The bed/mattress is super soft and feels almost like a camping bed.
- Cynthia (10/5): We had a great stay, in a great location. Would stay again! - Location We liked everything
- Kelsie (10/5): we really enjoyed our stay & look forward for staying again in the future. - The property was bright & airy and in a fabulous location.
- Genevieve (10/5): Highly recommended - Great location, good clean apartment with plenty of room. Loved my stay at Apartments Romance!
- Katerina (9/5): Nice and cozy - Apartment was very nice, near to train station and in city centre. Very kind host, nice street, great area, nice room. Great plus is fridge and table. Bed was very soft and sink too small. Other things are great
- Byrne (7/5): Central, compact and comfortable. - It was central to the city and the main train station. Comfortable compact apartment. One window with a light blind let the light in from a street lamp at night. A little disturbing trying to sleep.
- Renske (8/5): Very good -
- Nicholas (4/5): Disappointing -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Latoyah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Irena (10/5): Excellent location, comfy and beautiful. Staff is very friendly as well. - Location, comfortable and friendly staff A bit too pricey in my opinion
- Rolland (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rosie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erwin (8/5): Nice apartment in a great location in Amsterdam. - The apartment is in a very good location in the center of Amsterdam. Parking is in Q-park (100mtr), shops and restaurants very close. The apartment has a nice fridge, small table, a coffee machine and water boiler. For the cold evenings there is an extra heater available. The bathroom gets moist when you shower, there was no shower curtain installed. There was also at one moment noise for a washing machine from the neighbours above. So you can hear some noise from the neighbours.
- John (10/5): It’s Amsterdam it’s exactly what is says on the tin. Something for everyone and renting the studio just added to the exp - I loved it was so close to the station. It’ was authentic feeling living in a studio rather a hotel or hostel.
Just my thoughts. I loved There’s wasn’t anything I knew what I was I was getting and it ticked all the boxes. Happy deals are round are the best.
- Enia (9/5): Superb -
- Karthikeyan (10/5): Exceptional - So good
- Craig (6/5): Pleasant - Location, comfortable bed. The noise from room above that kept us awake most nights, stairs not for elderly people.
- Mcnamara (10/5): Perfect and hazey - The location was right in the city centre which made it perfect for venturing out at any time, the staff that greeted us were also very nice and accommodating
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Hannah (9/5): Perfect location, very helpful hosts. - The location is absolutely perfect. Quick walk to shops nearby, 5 minutes to central station, and if you wanna go a little farther there's a tram stop right outside the alley. The hosts were also very kind and sent messages to check on us a few times throughout the trip. Would definitely recommend and will look to book here again in the future. There's also an AI gallery and bike rental right outside if you’re into/need those kinds of things! There's some construction outside the alley that starts pretty early in the morning but the hosts obviously can't help that so they shouldn't be faulted.
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant -
- Susan (6/5): Clean, close to Central Station, and transport -once you find the apartment. Not ready for PrimeTime - The apartment was clean and the location was close to Central station--once you found the path/alleyway. Access was difficult because there was major construction blocking the entrance to the pathway, not an actual street, and the pathway itself was in the process of excavation with exposed pipes and piles of sand. The spiral staircase to the apartment was extremely narrow, even for Amsterdam. The room was light and appeared to have a breakfast area, but the only sink was in the bathroom and it was in inches 10"x7" and 3" deep- too small to wash a coffee cup, if there had been any soap! Proprietress was very pleasant, but the apartment is not yet ready for "prime time" Street construction made access difficult. Room was light, but windows faced walkway construction and an airshaft. Room was chilly, and proprietor provided a heater, but its cord was not long enough to reach either of the 2 electrical outlets in the sleeping area. If you used the heater and charged your phone, you had to do without a lamp since the outlet had only 2 sockets. Bed was a regular double with both head and footboards--awkward for tall person. Bottom sheet was gauzy and looked more like a mattress cover than a sheet. Its provenance as B'n'B is questionable since there was no way to prepare or clean up after any meal. Price was high for what was provided.
- Nicholas (9/5): A light and airy studio located in a quiet alley right in the city centre - Only a few minutes from the station, but in a quiet little alley with some characterful buildings, and bike rental place just beside the apartment buidling.
A nice comfy chair to sit in. The bathroom sink is rather tiny!
Bright street light outside front window.
- Salem (9/5): Superb - all was super, Marco and Karl were very flexibel and friendly! nothing
- Assaf (3/5): Stay Away ! - Great Location
Good size of apartment for two people
has a fridge The place area is under construction
the entrance and hallway were very dirty and looked BAD!!!
narrow stairs to get to the apartment.
the curtains were ripped and dirty, didn't feel welcoming at all.
Not worth the Money
unfortunately, I lost the keys I got. couldn't reach no one all night to get any help so had to spend all night out,
although the Apartments owner lives on the first floor.
had to pay extra 50 Euros to get a new key.
wouldn't Recommend unless they do a really big improvement.
- Robert (6/5): Pleasant -
- Amit (8/5): Very good - Host is very helpful.
Nice guy is renting bicycles in the next building. Price. Stairs
- George (6/5): A good position but overpriced for few facilities - Not a bad spot. Comfortable bed. Basically in a construction Zone. No Tv, no cooking facilities, Shower curtain disgusting. Very bright streetlight outside window with no curtain.
- Borra.matteo (9/5): Superb - Position, Price and Appearance;
Owner super polite....
- Joanne (8/5): Very good -
- Morgan (8/5): Very good -
- Adelina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Quentin (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Jon (9/5): Superb -
- Wael (5/5): Passable - Location Check in process
Tight stairs that made moving luggage up very hard
- Jessica (6/5): Location was excellent - Amazing location. Pictures are accurate. Walls are paper thin, all noise from downstairs tenants can be heard.
- Gordon (10/5): great base for a few days in Amsterdam - great location and format
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - great location, spacious apartment
- Mollie (8/5): Perfect location in dutch apartment - Location was amazing, right off the central station and near shops and restaurants Dam square etc. Studio apartment good size and has everything you need for a couple of days. Fridge, bed, nice shower ☺️ The walls are very thin so be prepared with some ear plugs as you can hear noise in the building and from main street. A microwave or something to allow for cooking would help make the apartment better for longer stays.
- James (9/5): Within walking distance of all the hotspots in Amsterdam & the apartment is nice and comfortable to go back to! - Perfect location, quiet, private, allow late check ins with a fee (€60) We expected the apartment to be a little bigger / more spacious than it was only judging from the pictures - but it was still roomy and comfortable.
There wasn’t any body washes, hand soaps anything like that provided so be prepared either take your own or to go shopping.
Very slim & steep staircase up to the second floor & the shower is very dark - again just some things to be aware of.
Wasn’t as clean as we’d of liked it to be, especially the staircase that had dirty carpets and sweets on the side which was a shock considering the €240 cleaning fee we saw in the T&C’s.
Lots of roadworks around which obviously isn’t the hosts fault
- Illia (7/5): We was unpleased with our staying there - The apartments was close to the center and this is the one good thing about it. The apartment need a repairing: the cups was damaged and broken, there was not a cooker or even microwave(we understood that the kitchen stove was dismantling but the pans and frying pan was in the kitchen so where to cook with them you could not find), the paint on the table was peeled off. There was not even soap or any liquids to wash hands. From the first day of our staying there the boiler was broken so it was really cold in the apartment and we called the master to repair it( one person came but it did not help and the boiler still was not working....so during our stay for 3 days we had to live in the cold apartments - it was October and it was shiver and cold there). I don't recommend this apartment
- Jonathan (3/5): Promised so much and delivered so little. - The location was very good: central. The bed was comfortable. Stairway was dirty; only one plate; only one usable mug; no teaspoons; (I provided a mug and teaspoons myself and left them there for others to use); no washing-up bowl or plug for the kitchen sink; TV only worked with subscription; no cloth/sponge for surfaces; no dustpan and brush; toilet seat faulty; no bin in bathroom; no plug in bathroom wash basin; there was an all-nighter on the Friday in the next-door apartment until 06.30 am. We got no sleep. (Not sure this wasn't the owner himself!) The whole place looked tacky/shoddy. If the owner had actually read previous reviews he might have acted on some of these things.
- Lynette (5/5): I would not call this place romantic. - The location was great
Had good wifi
Shower worked well Major rail construction happening. Lots of early morning construction noise and dust and dirt everywhere. Due to the road closure I think the council had difficulties in picking up rubbish. At least 50 or more garbage bags strewn across the path. Obviously not the property fault but not great to see especially when there is climate issues. The construction will go in for another 2 years.
The property itself is very basic and furnished with minimal essentials. The host should read previous reviews as there is a pattern happening here.
- Rayaan (9/5): Excellent location and cozy - The location was excellent and the host was really nice. Cozy place too, with a nice bathroom and comfortable double bed.
- Yulia (8/5): Very good - The location is great. The bed was comfortable. We missed many things in the room: there was only one normal mug, the second one missed the handle; only one flat plate; no teaspoons. No micro.
- Xanthe (7/5): Good -
