• Saniuta (10/5): - A very pleasant apartment — cozy, clean, and warm, you immediately feel comfortable. There were no issues during the stay. I would especially like to mention the host — Jan is a very polite and friendly person, everything went smoothly and easily. The location is excellent: it’s convenient to get to different parts of the city. The room is quiet and faces the courtyard, so there is no street noise — perfect for resting and getting a good night’s sleep. I highly recommend it!

• Igor (9/5): Excellent! - Yan is a very welcoming host who respects your privacy. The room has everything you might need, including a sink, kettle, and dishes. The toilet is shared, but it's located close to your room door. The building is located on the banks of a canal and it is so picturesque. All the city's main points are close as well. The stairs are a bit steep but it is OK.

• Paige (10/5): Great cosy room for a quick getaway - A lovely cosy room with all the amenities we needed! A nice place to come back to after a long day out. Yan couldn’t have been a better host!

• Lenore (10/5): Lovely host, room, and area. - We enjoyed the stay very much! Our favorite part about the room was the balcony. It was in a central area of Amsterdam and we were in walking distance to everything we needed. My only concern about the property is something that is common in most of Amsterdam the stairs! They are very steep and we were on the third floor I believe. This property would not be accessible for people that cannot navigate steep steps and a lot of them.

For example, coffee, tea, quality pads and most importantly various city guides. And he did all of this of his own account. He knew and respected about the privacy and as it should, expected others to respect tooHe was the best host we had.

The apartment is in one of the coolest spots in Amsterdam, and honestly, I didn’t want to leave. Pure magic from start to finish!

• Sue (8/5): Every thing we needed for a short stay. - Yan was a lovely host, very friendly and helpful. The room is in a great central location in the city and also the sun streams into it in the late afternoon, early evening (when we were there at the beginning of April). Having to share a bathroom. It's a spiral staircase up 2 floors to reach the property. This was fine for us but some people would struggle.

The main famous places and museums can be reached on foot in 20 minutes at a leisurely pace. The owner of the apartment Yan is very attentive and caring to the guests. Recommended.

We were met on our checkin and farewelled on our departure.. a wonderful Bed and Breakfast type experience. Everything was great! The room was cozy and typical of an inner Amsterdam building. The stairs were steep ( but that is what makes Amsterdam a unique place to stay)

The room is very clean and has all the facilities you need to enjoy your stay. Yan is a very friendly and accommodating host and I can't recommend his lovely flat highly enough; it's perfect place to base yourself and enjoy the beautiful city of Amsterdam. There was nothing I didn't like, I really enjoyed my stay.

• Jose (10/5): Great cosy room - The host is friendly and welcoming, and the room is very cosy and complete (private balcony, fridge, sink, microwave, coffee machine). The bathroom is shared with the owner but it is literally one step from the bedroom door, so you still have privacy. The location is great, around 10 minutes by tram (or 20 minutes walking) from Amsterdam Central Station.

• Maud (10/5): we had such a special time as it was our first time in Amsterdam, would 100% recommend staying with Yan. We rented bike - The location was perfect, everything very close. Comfy bed, enjoyed watching sunset on the balcony! great that the sink is inside the room and the bathroom two steps opposite the room. I suppose the only thing was that Yan stays in the bedroom right next door, his window looking onto our balcony so at some times it didn’t feel private, but we were prepared for it to feel like that.

We found everything we needed for 4 days of self-catering. Sharing a shower and toilet with our host was most acceptable. Our scores take into account the budget price we paid.
