Guest Reviews
- Ben (10/5): Comfortable and reasonably priced - Comfortable bed, good air conditioning and shower facilities. Location was good walkable to the war remnants museum and other prominent sights.
The lady who runs it is absolutely lovely and has a very cute cat! N/a
- Alexander (8/5): - Great location, the room ist small but sufficient and the owner is very warm and welcoming. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable, kindly showing me around and even taking me to several temples in and around Chinatown.

Môžete prísť a odísť kedy chcete. Dakujem. Vrátim sa 👍 -
- Mantas (9/5): - Labai patogi lokacija, visur galima nueiti centre pėsčiomis, kambaryje naktį visišką tyla nesigirdi jokio gatvės triukšmo. Lova patog,i buvo šiltas vanduo, didelis šaldytuvas mini virtuvė indai viskas ko reikia. Kambarys matosi šiek tiek nudėvėtas gerai būtų perdažyti sienas.
- kaiserjeong (10/5): Best homestay in ho chi minh city - This peaceful and beautiful homestay is the most radiant accommodation in Saigon. I spent five days here feeling very, very happy and joyful. The owner of the accommodation is the kindest person in the world.

- Scarping (7/5): Prezzo buono, qualche miglioramento sarebbe possibile.
- Mariusz (7/5): Cena / Jakoac - OK - Pozwolono nam zostawic bagaze przed rozpoczeciem doby hotelowej. Klimatyzacja dobrze chlodzila
- Dien Huy (9/5): I was really sastified with my stay there. - Good location and very friendly host The neighborhood is loud sometimes
- Oliwier (9/5): -
- Barry (8/5): Very helpful host. - Host was very quick in accepting my booking, it was at the last minute, due a mix up with another booking. She even took me to a restaurant and gave a free tour the next day. Only issue was the light outside the bedroom, would come on if anyone or a cat went past, the door had a glass panel, so it shined in the room.

- Andrew (8/5): - Close to everything. Good value for money. Host Thuy was fabulous. Answered all our questions in person and via message before we arrived. Room was quite small and the room and bathroom could use a good cleaning

- Steve9542000 (10/5): Exceptional - The homestay is situated a little away from the busy and noisy city centre.
It's a lovely spot, and the lady Houng is the perfect hostess.
She made me welcome and took me out to see some sights, no charge as she actually enjoys it,
Friendly dog and cat, too. Everything was good and people living nearby were friendly. 👍
- Nabil (10/5): Excellent - Nice place great location which is very central the host is very friendly and speaks good English and offers a very clean room. I suffer from quite some allergies (mainly dustmite) and i can say the room was really clean and i slept like a baby 👶 Niets
- Lantez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nguyên (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marian (9/5): Superb -
- Ben (10/5): Budget friendly, clean, convenient. - Great value. If you’re on a budget this is all you need, nice and clean and reasonably close to places. The owner is very nice and helpful It’s still a 15 minute walk into the main areas of district 1. The area around the Homestay itself is pretty dirty but that’s no fault of the owner themselves and no different to a lot of the rest of Saigon.
- Yianni (10/5): Exceptional - Great place very nice host, good location in the city. Away from tourist hot spots, real local vietnamese experience
- Wesley (10/5): Exceptional - The lady who owns the homestay is extremely kind and helpful! The room has everything you would need and everything was very clean! Only a short walk into the city so perfect location as well!
- Mckenzie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful home and a great host. She went above and beyond for myself while I was there. It's a lovely home in a great location with beautiful pets. I will use this place every time I visit ho chi Minh The kettle didn't work in the room
- San (10/5): Exceptional - It was a perfect stay. Very clean and nice Apartment. Landlady (owner) was very helpful and nice.
I would like to book again for my next trip...
Cheers
- Iuliana (9/5): Totally worth staying. If I go to HCM again I’ll probably stay here again. - I loved the place! Location is good, walkable to city centre, quite, lots of food around etc. landlord is absolutely lovely! It felt like home. Place is very modest, small, but there is everything you need, even a fridge, washing machine, etc. I highly recommend staying here! A bit hard to find at the beginning but once you find it’s totally fine. The place is not too clean, but overall fine. Good place!
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional - I had such a lovely stay, I felt very welcomed and looked after. My room was clean and cozy. There were many delicious street food stalls nearby.
- Beth (9/5): Would return! - Property was so well equipped - dish soap, shampoo etc, microwave, fridge, free water, cooking utensils and laundry facilities. Owner was so friendly and helpful! The room was a little on the small side but it didn’t impact on our stay greatly.
- Oleg (8/5): Good place for short stay. Can recommend - Good location, quiet street, good internet, all needed facilities. Shampoo, towels. Only 2 things I slightly didn’t like.
1. AC was very weak. It never made room cold and it took it hours to cool temperature at least a bit. So it was hot all the time. Even fan would be better.
2. I arrived 3h earlier to drop my luggage and my room was already empty and clean. Usually in this case many hosts would allow to checkin but in this place owner asked for half day fare even everything was ready. Well it’s business I understand but was a bit strange.
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed here for three nights and had a pleasant stay.
The home stay is in a cute little side street and a convenient location where you can explore a lot by foot.
The room is equipped with a wardrobe, desk, kettle and a small fridge.
The hostess was very friendly and we also could leave our baggage after the check out until the evening, before we left the city.
The owner has a lovely cat and a dog.
Can absolutely recommend if you are looking for a simple home stay on a budget for a few days to explore Ho-chi-Minh.
- Lauren (9/5): Hidden gem in the city centre - Super comfortable bed and very clean property right in the centre of Ho Chi Minh, host is a lovely lady who gave us a booklet of food/things to do in the area and other useful information Hard to locate at first the map is a little bit off, it’s through a few alleys in a local suburb but once found it’s easy
- Lasse (8/5): Good value for money but small rooms - Friendly host, cheap homestay with ok location Room and bathroom was very small
- Samoht2156 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (9/5): Superb - Host was excellent! She even helped out with a medical issue and took me to a doctor in HCM peak hour traffic. A gem!
- Alex (9/5): Great stay with a lovely host - The host was amazing- lovely and enthusiastic. Made us feel at home The bedsheets weren’t great and the location wasn’t the best
- Stefan (10/5): Exceptional - A teally cute person, thank you so much!
- Kirsten (8/5): It was great staying off the Main Street amongst the homes of locals - So friendly, easy going, cheap.
- Bert (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was ok!
- Karim (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy stay, nice doggy and cat. Great location. Will book again if coming.
- Marissa (3/5): Disappointing and felt very unsafe - The owner, when available , was lovely. I feel bad leaving a bad review but I felt so incredibly unsafe staying here. The room also wasn’t clean when we arrived with dust everywhere and hair on the floor. The main issue was that the Homestay is down an alleyway - which is common for Homestays in Vietnam and I’ve stayed in so many - but the neighbours dog, although it’s very small - is untrained and was off the leash growling and barking at us. This made me really scared of being bitten. There were so many dogs down the alleyway growling, barking and chained up I became quite frightened of being bitten or returning in the dark because of the dogs. When I contacted the owner regarding this she told us to let her know 15 mins before we were due to return which was very kind but all the times I messaged her she wasn’t available so it felt a little pointless (we only returned once each day so not like we were coming and going loads). One evening when we returned, the entire road next to the Homestay had flooded with no way in. I tried calling and texting the owner and had no response at all. We were stranded with no idea how we were supposed to get back to the Homestay with the entrance being flooded. Whilst I know this isn’t the owners fault, clearly flooding is not a new issue and we should have been told how we could return when it flooded. Really disappointing.
- Dietmar (8/5): Excellent - Very helpful and cheerful host lady. The room was absolutely ok, clean. Shower, toilet ok. The narrow staircase, Haha. But as a European of 1,88 you can't expect perfect conditions for your size.
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional -
- Camony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mariano (10/5): Really nice homestay! - Felt welcomed before even arriving. Host took great care of us. Dog and cat are lovely. Location is convenient, 15 min to main attractions, plenty of local food stalls and restaurants in the area. Room is simple, small but functional, with a fridge and AC. Shared toilet also working great. None
- Andrei (9/5): Superb -
- Wai (8/5): It is better than backpackers hostels & 2-3 Star Hoetels. - This is different from a hotel because it is her home. Extraordinary. Here has so many essentials, microwave, dishes, cutlery, fridge, washing machine & key important vacuum cleaner & scale. So travellers can know how heavy are their baggages & compress it. I reheated purposely over-ordered snake meals for a few days because it was quite far away & time consuming to buy. Air pollution & noise was a little bit better than on the main street. Thanks for proximity to the river, the streets in this area are flooded twice everyday. From the smell I can tell, the drain water is blended with sewage & whatever. Travellers with baggages should check the tidal time before deciding when to Check-in & Check-out. Car cannot drive into little alleys so to reduce walking distance, choose the 'dry hours'. Rooster(s) next door annoyed me every morning. 1 room has window facing inside, so as the toilet for 2 rooms to share.
- David (9/5): Super nice stay - She was so friendly! We had to take the night bus and even we didn't book for that night, we could shower and leave or bags there. It's like living with your grandma, love it!
- Léa (10/5): Exceptional - The homestay is kept by a very lovely lady, she also keeps the place pretty clean and inviting for her guests.
You also have access to everything you need WiFi Wich is good enough for streaming even, AC, towel shampoo, laundry for an extra fee etc..but if your needs aren't fulfill you can always ask her and she'll do her best to help you out. Also recommending you places. ( As I was there during Tet holiday, was nice to know where the action was taking place)
The location is pretty ideal too, as you are walking distance from the main streets, but just far enough so it's a bit quieter. .
Would definitely recommend especially if you're a solo backpacker on a budget and don't want to get a dorm, places in that area can be a bit expensive but this one is still on the cheaper side.
Forgot to mention shower is probably the best I had so far pressure and temperature wise, doesn't go from freezing to burning you can actually adjust it ahah.
- Rienk (10/5): Great value - The owner of the place is incredibly welcoming, she even took me ‘sightseeing’ around the city centre 🙂 Also, the room was really clean.
- Stephanie (8/5): For budget-minded travellers, this place covers all the basics. - This is a great place to get a true feel for the local Vietnamese lifestyle. The host's house is in a residential alleyway, with other similar types of homes, and you often see the neighbours out and about, talking and doing their daily routines. The host is very friendly and helpful, and her dog and cat are very cute, friendly and quiet. The rooms and bathroom are clean, and the rooms are well-outfitted with double bed, desk, cupboard and fridge. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children, and we ended up really enjoying this place.
- Ula (4/5): it was passable if you don’t need wifi - the lady was very nice, she gave us water, the room was alright and the bathroom as well it was burning hot, you couldn’t be in the room unless the ac was on full blast. the wifi didn’t work at all and it was annoying because we had to work online.
- Lisa (9/5): Lovely real Homestay - Lovely Host with a cute little puddle (and normally i don’t like dogs that much ;-)… The dog is very calm and stays on the groundfloor by the host. I did not recognized any dogsmell.
The two rooms to rent are both on the 2nd floor with the shared bathroom only for guests. The bathroom got cleaned every day.
We get 1 laundryservice for free (because we stayed 4 nights), plenty of Showergel and Shampoo and free drinkingwater as well.
The room we booked had a doublebed, chair, table, tv, towels, a hairdryer and a cubboard.
You get a Keycard to get in the house, and a key for your room.
- Grace (8/5): Very good - The hostor is very helpful and informative.. None
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - Had a very enjoyable stay here.
My room was clean, comfortable and private. You are sharing the bathroom with one other room so it feels like you have it to yourself.
Location is pretty good. Heaps of restaurants nearby and about 15 min walk to some attractions.
Would stay again ! Nothing !
- Lotte (9/5): Superb - Perfect location and very friendly owner!
- Anatolipapa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Khánh (8/5): Very good -
- Janelle (9/5): Superb - Lovely clean room with huge bed,! Fast wifi, hot shower, cool aircon and a kettle! The area was only a 10 min walk to the Bui Minh party street but enough out of the way to get some peace and quiet (although you'll get woken up by roosters starting at 4.30am if you're a light sleeper like me!) You get a 500ml bottle of water for free each day you stay and shower gel and shampoo sachets too which is a nice touch! Only sharing the bathroom with one other room so never had to wait to shower etc! Always toilet roll stocked up and cleaned every morning. We were allowed to arrive before check-in and leave our baggage which was handy! There's even a microwave and cutlery for use outside of the rooms. We booked an extra night since we were enjoying our stay so much! Kettle and mugs are supplied but would have been even better if instant coffee sachets were for the mornings! (Ended up buying some for cheap anyway but just an observation!) The walls are very thin in between the 2 rooms so you can hear your neighbours quite clearly but luckily they were respectful, as were we so only some talking and coughing and sneezing could be heard! Wasn't an issue at all! Could have done with more plug points since the fridge and lamp are in the extension, only leaving 1 spare plug! The hallway light is left on outside the rooms to access the bathroom during the night so make sure you bring an eye mask since there is an inside window in the room and unfortunately no natural daylight. Towels were tiny - just 2 hand towels each provided which don't even wrap around your body. Again, not a major issue at all - just reccos for improvements ☺️
- Paula (10/5): Loved everything about this homestay - what a great place to stay while in Saigon! The host is absolutely lovely. She took me out one evening to a cool bar with live music. Another day she took me on the water bus to see Saigon from the Saigon River. She is truly kind. She a couple of adorable dogs and a cat that were really friendly. the bed was very comfortable and the WiFi was fast. She even does one free load of laundry per stay.
- Emilio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): great place - we stayed here for 4nights and it was a great location, very clean and had few perks like kitchen utensils, microwave, kettle. our host was so nice, so helpful and sweet.
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional - Host was very nice and helpful. Took me on her motobike to a shopping area because I asked for a specific product.
Room had AC, fridge, water, and towels. What more could you ask for in a budget room? everything was great. a bit hard to find at first since it's in an alleyway, but check in was easy and communication was consistent.
- Alexander (9/5): Superb - Friendly hostess Good value, not expensive but in the very center
- Maria (8/5): Very good -
