• Kathrin (9/5): Schöne Unterkunft nahe am Meer - Sehr freundliche und überaus hilfsbereite Eigentümerin. Die Nähe zum Strand und zur Promenade ist toll. Die Unterkunft ist mit dem Auto nicht direkt erreichbar. Ein Parkplatz ist unweit fußläufig und ab da muss man das Gepäck tragen. Den Ort und den Strand erreicht man über mehrere Treppen. Im Schlafraum ist eine Exit-Lampe angebracht, die nachts extrem hell leuchtet.

• Brittney (10/5): Couldn’t have picked a better spot to end our trip! - We had an amazing end to our trip in Himare at First house. Very helpful and attentive owners. The location was perfect. Just down a few stairs to the main strip/road. Off of the busy and loud strip but a very close walk. You can hear some street noise from the patio (expected) but with the door closed it’s fine and ends around 11:30-12 PM. Gorgeous property with the best view. The bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious and you got the best sunset view from the cozy patio. There’s an in room fridge and a very nice communal use kitchen space. The bed was extremely comfortable. The parking was close by. I would 100% stay again if we came back to Himare. Not the properties fault, but I do prefer an extra blanket provided in rooms in case you and your partner sleep at different AC level comforts.

• Eric (9/5): Nice place to stay! Do not drive there until reading instructions. - READ BELOW. First house is a great choice for your stay in Himare. It’s right at the top of the small hill off the beach, and the stairs to get there are very charming. Please, the restaurant right at the base of the stairs has an amazing sunset view and tremendous pizza. The room itself is very clean and the property is nice. If you’re driving there, DO NOT follow Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps, etc., to the property. They recently build a road which is what those apps will bring you down, but one of the property owners didn’t sell land for them to keep going on the road, so it is a DEAD END. These streets are narrow and you will have to back up for blocks, with inches on both sides of your instead. Instead, make sure to read Tito’s instructions and stop at the cafe and church before you go any bit up the hill. They have a chained off parking lot on this road, where you can park.
• Sammy (10/5): Incredible location, room and hosts! - We loved first house! The room was super clean and modern, big king bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony was amazing. The communal kitchen area was also well kept and supplied with cakes and coffee in the morning, as well as things like honey and oats to prepare your breakfast. The free washing machine was also amazing. The hosts were so lovely, even when we had to change our dates last minute they were so accomodating. The parking was also excellent, they had a free private parking lot a few minutes walk away. This was helpful as it’s very difficult to park in Himare. The location of the hotel was also very central, a short walk down some steps to the beach There was some noise / music from surrounding bars every night till about 12pm, but that can’t be helped

• Simone (9/5): Beautiful place and over all great experience - We stayed for one week in the room with the big balkony and it was amazing! The view is marvellous and we really enjoyed our stay. Parking was no problem and there is a great kitchen with everything you might possibly need and also a washing mashine, which you can use. In the morning there is always fresh coffee and some muffins. The ownsers are very nice and helpful. It‘s true that the beach and the center with all the restaurants is very close, but you have to walk a lot of stairs, which can be quite exhausting 2-3 times a day with 30+ degrees and it definitely takes longer than 1minute to go there, as described. One thing we also want to mention is that it‘s very loud EVERY night. Until midnight the club plays loud music which is very annoying and even closed windows and earplugs won‘t help to sleep. That is of course not the fault of the owners, since it’s not their responsibility and there is no place/accomodation in Himare where you could escape the noise. We just thought it‘s important to mention since Himare is always described as a peaceful place.

• Caroline (9/5): Superb - Beautiful views from the balcony and well equipped communal kitchen. The bed was comfortable and the beach was a short but steep stroll away. Plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from and check in and out was a breeze with assistance parking our rental car. We slept soundly with ear plugs but music can clearly be heard until early hours from neighbouring bars.

The property is absolutely beautiful — well-maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning views. The facilities were excellent, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay, including use of the well designed kitchen, and laundry machine. The location is perfect: close to the beach, shops, and restaurants, but still quiet and private. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our visit. Thank you Timo! They met us, told us how to get there, provided us with a free parking space closed, and in Himar it is hard to get there. The room fully justifies its cost. Great view and huge balcony overlooking the sea, which is only a two minute walk away. I would like to say a special thank you for such a varied and hearty breakfast and such a good attitude to guests -

• Wissam (10/5): Our stay at First House in Himare was wonderful, with warm hospitality, a perfect location, and great attention to our n - We had an amazing stay at First House in Himare! The hotel is cozy, exceptionally clean, and perfectly located – just a few stairs away from the main street, which is a big plus for the area. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to assist whenever we needed something, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights was how accommodating they were with breakfast. If you have any dietary restrictions, don't hesitate to mention it to the lovely lady working there. She was more than happy to adjust the meal for us! Parking in Himare can be a challenge, but thankfully, there’s a parking area just a few stairs up from the hotel – super convenient and such a relief. While they kindly helped us with our luggage, I would suggest avoiding heavy suitcases like we brought, as navigating the stairs with them could be tricky. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend First House. We would happily stay here again if we return to Himare one day! The shower tended to clog, causing water to overflow into the room. While the staff cleaned daily and tried to manage it, it was still a bit of a headache during our stay.

We had delicious breakfast on the terrace which is a very nice gesture. They also gave us beach towels and beach umbrella, which was very practical. The area is very easy to go around and it has everything within reach. Most definitely would recommend. /

Property only has 6 rooms, our ‘Delux apartment’ had partial views and was near the steps. If you’re lucky enough to book a ‘terrace’ room, you will have fantastic views, large terrace. Breakfast was wonderful, complete with homemade pastries. Many restaurants nearby and fabulous beaches. 92 steps hard on a 75 year old’s knees

• Tiia (9/5): Tiia P. - Clean, beautiful apartment and environment. Nice hosts and a very good breakfast. All our wishes were met. :) A lovely small and quiet place to stay. We were delighted to be provided with a beach umbrella as there is a public beach within walking distance. We appreciated the opportunity to do some laundry for free. Balcony was also a nice bonus. When we arrived (by bus) in town, there was some miscommunication with hosts and we had to wait quite a long time for a ride. Later we found out that we could have easily walked that distance (there are a lot of stairs on the way, but it's doable at least with backpacks). Btw Google maps doesn't know the shortest route to the accommodation. Pillows are quite thick, but it's same in every accommodation I think. And when I asked about thinner one, they provided that for me so this wasn't really an issue :) Also, be sure to bring cash for payment!

The double room has a view of the sea as well, the terrace is smaller (we stayed in both rooms over 3 nights). It’s only a few min walk to beach and overall feels very special. The owners are very nice.

The location was perfect- 3 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the main restaurants/ shops. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. What made our stay unforgettable was the lady who manages the property, she was so lovely and friendly. Her cooking was amazing and she made the loveliest breakfast every morning. Her cakes were so tasty! She helped us with any queries and was very caring. The lady felt very motherly and was extremely kind. Would go again not only for the view and beautiful room but also for the lady of the house.

• Louisa (10/5): Best place we’ve stayed! - The whole place has such a lovely and relaxing vibe from the moment you step in the gate. The rooms are beautiful and the balcony’s have a great view. Lovely hosts who were so kind and so helpful throughout the trip. Breakfast was very tasty! This was the best accommodation from our whole trip ☺️ Himara beach clubs can be a little noisy at night - not the host’s fault, this would be the same wherever you stay.

• Anonymous (9/5): Beautiful place to stay near the beach - The location is ideal, just five minutes (up about 60 stairs) from the beach and shops/restaurants of Himarë. The room is spacious, clean and beautiful and the balcony is perfect. Beach towels and umbrellas were a nice addition and saved us having to hire sunbeds! Lovely breakfast and free use of the washing machine was much appreciated. We would stay here again if we came back to Himarë. The staff used a slightly disadvantageous exchange rate which meant that it was a bit more expensive than we expected when paying in LEK, but if we had paid in euros this wouldn’t have been an issue.

It is an International breakfast mixed with some local products (burek, salami, eggs, yogurt and cakes). Amazing and relaxing viene. Everything was wonderful.

• Maddie (9/5): Gorgeous place to explore Ksamil! - Really comfortable rooms, with a great location up some stairs from the main strip. Great breakfast and views from the balcony. Really helpful & friendly staff also. Our balcony was quite close to the kitchen so didn’t have much privacy but still lovely views.
• Bas (10/5): Amazing stay with breathtaking views, walking distance from the center - Amazing location with the best views of Himarë. The owners are extremely helpful, willing the help you with everything you might need. A varied and tasty breakfast is served daily, and all rooms are cleaned every two days. From the apartment it only takes a 5-min walk to be in the center of town. During our stay we enjoyed the beautiful corner apartment, which is definitely a recommendation when visiting this location. Overall, nothing negative to state about our amazing stay at First House! Would highly recommend staying here when visiting the Himare area, and we will certainly rebook this apartment for our future visits. Only points that might have you reconsider this location are the lack of parking options (no on-site parking is available as the location is quite high in the hills, and it's a hassle to find a free parking spot, especially in the weekend. Alternatively, you can opt for private parking, which will set you back 500-1000 Lek / Day based on the location) and steep climb up to the apartment, which might not be up for everyone. As the parking is properly stated on the booking.com listing, and the climb didn't mind us, these points do not negatively affect our review.

• Jorge (8/5): Pleasant stay. - Rooms are comfi and have a terrace kitchen is available for use of guests, also washing machine hosts are welcoming and nice need to go up many stairs payment is only accepted in cash. that is not warned anywhere when booking.
• J. (8/5): sweet place at a reasonable price - The place is clean and stylish. the proprietress is lovely and the breakfast good. The fire alarm light in the room is so bright…hard to get the room dark if you need that to sleep. Also, currently the apartment building is up a long flight of outdoor stairs—difficult when hot or you have a lot of luggage, but they will help you!
• Rudine (10/5): Exceptional - This place is exceptional!! Great view, perfectly clean and the hostess was very friendly. The hotel has only 6 rooms and a great kitchen you can use during the day which felt like home🌟 We originally booked for 5 nights but wanted to prolong the trip and the owner was very kind to accommodate us in such a short notice. Definitely visiting again!

• Joshi (10/5): Stunning views, lovely room! - The room was amazing and the balcony had a stunning view! Everything was clean and the host, Timo, was extremely helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Wish we could have stayed here longer! Since we drove and there was no on site parking, we had to park at a nearby private lot.

• Vivienne (9/5): Lovely stay with nice breakfast and view - We loved this place. we had a beautiful view over the bay. The place was nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. There was a good breakfast that we enjoyed very much. We were welcomed by the owner and after that we could ask the personnel that lives in the same building for everything we need. We even managed to do our laundry because the lady was so kind to put it in and take it out for us. The owner said we had to go to Taverna Lefteri. It was a very nice place, run by locals with nice local food. At night the boulevard gets crowded and quite loud but at our apartment it was super quiet. Definitely a perfect stay. Two very small but neglectable things: Since the building can only be reached by stairs, there is no parking next to the building, so we parked our car in the town in a local parking, which was perfect. So not really a problem. Secondly there was a bit of a smell in our bathroom. But when the water started running it disappeared.

Only negative comment would be that the price of the accommodation combined with the lack of a credit card payment option made it tricky to get the money to pay for the stay. Most cash machines couldn't support the amount needed to be taken out
• Sigurlin (10/5): Perfect stay in a perfect place. - Timo and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful in every respect. From helping us get the best parking in crowded beachfront to tips on the surrounding , breakfast with a smile and a chat. No downsides for us. Great place! Perhaps just a watch out, parking can be a bit challenging in the area so just be aware.
