• Amanda (10/5): Great value in El Chalten - It’s a really unique little place near the river on the edge of town. The owner was always easy to reach and helpful. The cabin was warm, the shower was hot and being out of town meant we had a better view of the peak than those staying closer in. The town is very expensive so it’s nice to have a more affordable option, highly recommend! The area around it was a bit cluttered since they’re building new units.

• roziio (7/5): Un poco de silencio en vacaciones - La habitación resultó muy cómoda y el departamento se encontraba bien equipado, con todo lo necesario para cocinar. Si bien no hicimos uso de la cocina, ya que el alojamiento fue utilizado únicamente para dormir, el equipamiento estaba completo. La conexión a Internet funcionaba correctamente y el dueño fue muy amable y atento durante la estadía. La falta de privacidad durante la estadía fue un aspecto central del inconveniente, ya que una empleada ingresó al departamento mientras nos encontrábamos durmiendo. Si bien el ingreso estaba destinado a tareas de limpieza, en ningún momento fuimos informados previamente ni advertidos de que el personal podría ingresar al departamento sin aviso. No adecuado para el descanso. Desde las 6 de la mañana se registraron ruidos constantes, dado que el departamento se encuentra ubicado junto a la lavandería. A esto se suman conversaciones en tono elevado desde ese mismo horario, lo que hizo imposible descansar correctamente.
• Geertje82 (8/5): Net appartementje met prachtig uitzicht - Een prachtig appartementje aan de rand van het dorp met prachtig uitzicht. Het appartement was voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. Het was schoon en netjes. We werden hartelijk ontvangen. De douche was heerlijk! De stoelen zitten niet echt lekker.
• Rachel (10/5): Perfect apartment in El Chalten - We stayed in apartment 1B. It was perfect and had exactly what we needed for our stay in El Chalten. Great kitchen facilities, hot showers, comfortable bed. The apartment was warm and cosy, a perfect place to be after a long day of hiking. Hair dryer provided. It was spacious enough for us. Close to the bus station. A 10min walk to the main street in El Chalten. Host was always available for any questions. We were able to leave our bags when we checked out. Would 100% recommend! Some of the lights in the bathroom were broken / not working but this didn’t bother us as there was still one working light. It’s a little further away from some of the bigger trailheads (an extra 10-15min walk) compared to other places in town. Again, didn’t bother us as we like to hike but worth noting.

• Alexander (7/5): Practical stay in El Chalten - Great location near the bus terminal with a cute coffee around the corner if you have to wait. The accommodation we had had a nice room, toilet and kitchen. Everything was clean and very practical. The kitchen worked well and it was not cold at night. The owner is quite cool when you do the check-in. The staff did not check on us once although we stayed 4 nights. They did not replace the toilet trash once... Also, one day we were inside and one of the staff members tried to enter by frenetically trying to force on the door. Knocking would have also worked out but this was somehow too much to ask.

• Tamara (10/5): - Eine wundervolle Unterkunft, die auf kleinstem Raum alles bietet, was man für ein paar gemütliche Tage braucht. Vom Einchecken bis zum Auschecken und der Bezahlung hat alles reibungslos und unkompliziert funktioniert. Wir hatten hier wirklich sehr schöne Tage und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Vielen herzlichen Dank wir kommen gerne wieder!

• Ludwig (1/5): Arnaque taudis - Rien C’est bien la première fois que j’ai l’impression d’être arnaqué. Pourtant étant backpacker je ne suis pas difficile. J’ai choisis cet hôtel pour les notes mais attention il semble avoir des notes de 10 qui ne peuvent pas être vraies. Je m’explique, environnement vraiment sales, c’est dans une casse avec une énorme antenne en son centre. Salle de bain, chambre cuisine dérisoire, je vous laisse regarder les photos. Draps pas changé, il y a encore la trace du client d’avant , voir photos. Propriétaire qui pense qu’à encaisser sans discutions. À FUIR et si vous me croyez pas je vous laisse faire le prochain commentaire. C’est une honte.
• Emma (9/5): - Amazing value for money. Great little apartment nestled by the mountains. Lovely coffee shops nearby. Very convenient for the bus station and Mirador de los cóndores walk. Loved having our own kitchen and lovely outdoor space. Staff were very friendly and helpful (and had very cute dogs and cats!). Would absolutely stay here again if I am lucky enough to come back to el chalten. The hob and microwave take a very long time to cook anything, and no oven in our apartment. But we were still able to cook everything we needed. Also, be aware the WiFi in all of el chalten is temperamental so paying by card can be difficult if the WiFi isn't working!

• Monica (8/5): Nice place to stay probably cheaper than in the Main Street - Located close to the bus station and not far from the main fare. We stayed in a cozy apartment. Good to have a good heater. Even had tv. The WiFi is spotty but probably would be the same anywhere in town
• Christine (8/5): Beautiful comfy place in a good location to go hiking straight from there. I would go there again 😊 - The place was as I expected after the Fotos, the owner came right around to let me in, although I was a bit later than planned and made just the curfew at 23hs. She was nice, showing me everything, turning on the heater. The kitchen was better equipped than other places I was. When we set up my stay via messages, I asked, if I could pay via credit card: they did not mention, that that than cost 5% more- wished I would have known beforehand. I would have liked a doona on the bed - although summer it was only 6° at night and the blanket was a bit thin, so I had to use the provided heater - but would have preferred to save energy costs.
• Stefan (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect! The staff was very polite and friendly. Our apartment had all the amenities we needed for a short stay in El Chaltén, it was cozy and warm after a long day of hiking. We did not experience any issues with the WiFi connection. It was much more stable than in our last accommodation in Chaltén. Also, the view of Cerro Torre, Fitz Roy, and Aguja Saint-Exupery towering above this beautiful little remote town was visible from the backyard. We would stay at Don Galle's again If we ever happen to return to El Chaltén.
• Shawna (9/5): Decent accommodation close to the bus station - The room was clean and had good facilities for cooking. The bed was comfortable. Also its very close to the bus Station which was convenient. Outside the room was not very clean.
• Markéta (4/5): Extremely overpriced. - Location was nice. Quiet part of the town with a mountain view. The toilet never flushed anything. Not even pee. And not even writing about other things to flush. We had to flush the toilet with a pot from the kitchen. The shower was extremely hot and it always took ages to reach the right temperature not to burn ourselves. The dishes - we made scrambled eggs the first night and the food was full of black scrubs from the pan. When it rained the kitchen was full of earthworms in the morning. The toilet door makes horribly loud noise when opening - not hard to fix, we believe. The bench in the garden is full of nails and quite old, not what you see in the pictures. Just so you are aware.
