Guest Reviews
- Nachum (8/5): - דירה מאד גדולה 2 חדרי שינה
2 חדרי שירותים, מקלחת אחת
מטבח מאובזר מחוץ למרכז (7 דקות הליכה)
מיטה זוגית קטנה מדי
- Bernhard (8/5): Very good - The apartment was incredibly large and well equipped (apart from the missing corkscrew). Obviously the living-room is often used for bigger parties. So wine glasses, cutlery, fridge, everything is abundantly offered. Two bathrooms, two bedrooms, beautiful sight of Lago Argentino, a walk of 8 minutes to the bus terminal and ten to the city centre.
We can really recommend the apartment.
Toilet water not running in one of the two. The incredibly big livingroom cannot adequately be heated. Host was absent and could not always be reached to solve problems.
- Jacquelyn (8/5): Very good -
- Anthea (6/5): Convenient for bus station -
- Leslie (8/5): Spacious comfortable apartment, great value - The apartment was quite spacious and had a huge wall-sized BBQ plus an outdoor BBQ. The other kitchen facilities were limited to a hot plate, microwave and water kettle, a full-size refrigerator/freezer and another full size freezer! There were a few condiments, tea and mate available. We mostly ate out or brought take-out home. The rooms and bathrooms were very nice and and clean with a view of the mountains from the living room, wrap around balcony and the main bedroom. The living room had comfortable couches, a full stereo with big speakers and large TV, though we didn't really use them. There was a large dining table and another small one with enough to seat at least 12 people The entire common space was spacious enough to have a large party, but of course we didn't do that either. The location was an easy 15 walk to the main part of town and easy walking distance from the bus terminal where we arrived after flying into the Calafate airport. Laura was very hospitable and communicative. She even shipped my rain coat and pants to me in Buenos Aires (COD) because I forgot it in the closet! Her family was very respectful in the shared property (they live downstairs with an adjoining stairway) and the cat was very friendly! The kitchen could be better equipped with a stove and sink more centrally located in the kitchen. It was more of a bar set-up for throwing large parties. But we didn't really need it since we purchased prepared food. We liked that the location was more removed from the busy downtown area and we also enjoyed the walk, but others may prefer to be closer to town.
- Kateryna (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was very nice and spacious with beautiful views. The host greeted us personally so check in went smoothly.
It was a big pleasure for us to stay there. It is a bit far from the city center but close to the bus station which we used often, so good from that point
- Giu (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was extremely nice and kind. The house is very big. A bit outside of the city centre (but you can easily reach it with a 5 min taxi ride / 20 mins by foot)
- Andrew_audley (9/5): Superb - The apartment is huge (i was travelling alone). Plenty of space, comfortable beds, well equipped and lovely view. The apartment is conveniently located for those coming from the bus terminal. It was rather cold inside, WIFI was good in the main room, but patchy in the bedrooms. The owner hadn't provided any toilet paper or soap. The location if wanting to go to the centre isn't so great, but still perfectly manageable on foot.
- Oksana (9/5): Superb - Great place, close to downtown, in the walking distance to the main street with many restaurants, travel agencies, and shops.
We enjoyed time in this pretty house with beautiful view on the Argentina lake. Laura was wonderful and
I very helpful. Thank you for holding our luggage !
- Larissa (7/5): It’s fine for a short stay, but not very welcoming or cosy. - The property had two nice bedrooms, as described. It is spacious. It is quite a long walking distance from the town centre (10-15 mins) and when it rains, the road near the house gets quite muddy. The host didn’t speak English and it was difficult for us to communicate (fortunately, my friend spoke a little bit of Spanish). The flat is on the top (first) floor of the house with the owners living downstairs. This wasn’t disturbing in any way, but felt a little strange. There are motions sensors in every bedroom, which shine bright blue light every time you move at night. Also, the crockery needs some upgrading, we managed to find two odd cups, but the rest were glasses for some reason.
