VOLVERIA NOS HOSPEDAMOS EN LA CABAÑA 12, QUE ESTA PEGADA A LA 11, YO CREO QUE ES TODA UNA CABAÑA Y EL PISO DE ARRIBA QUE ES DONDE ESTA LA HABITACION MATRIMONIAL ESTA SEPARADA DE LA HABITACION DE AL LADO (CABAÑA 11) SOLO POR UN DURLOK, PORQUE ES INCREIBLE COMO SE ESCUCHA LA CONVERSACION DE AL LADO, EN MI CASO LLEGARON A LA 1AM Y ME DESPERTARON CAMINABAN EN SU HABITACION Y VIBRABAN LAS MADERAS DEL PISO DE MI HABITACION. • Laura (10/5): - La ubicación de la cabaña es perfecta, a media cuadra del centro, 2 cuadras del super, todo muy accesible. Tenía un patio hermoso donde disfrutamos con mi hija. Tenía todos los utensilios para cocinar. La calefacción andaba muy bien. Lo mas destacado es la calidez y atención del personal, siempre atentos a todo....fueron muy amables

Nos olvidamos comida cerrada al vacio en la heladera cuando salimos a acampar por varios dias, avisamos a las pocas horas y nos dijeron q la "habian tirado". No intentaron ayudarnos....

• Marcela (8/5): Excelente ubicacion - La ubicación y el servicio de guardado de valijas al ingreso y a la salida, ya que te permite disfrutar mucho mas la estadia en calafate. Yo ya me había alojado en otra oportunidad y conocía las comodidades. No hay algo que no me haya gustado, es muy bueno en realicion precio calidad.

• edornelli (10/5): - Nos hospedamos en Cabaña Matices y fue una experiencia excelente. La cabaña es muy cómoda y acogedora, ideal para descansar después de recorrer El Calafate. Lo que más queremos destacar es la atención del personal, siempre cálida y dispuesta a ayudar. Nos orientaron con muy buena predisposición en la organización de excursiones y actividades, lo cual hizo que nuestra estadía fuera aún más disfrutable. Sin dudas, un lugar para recomendar y al que volveríamos.

• Anonymous (10/5): Brilliant Property Near Main Street - I loved this place very much! I booked for an "apartment", and it turned out to be a very spacious hut for me! Radiators were installed to make room warm. Staff were nice and polite. Matices operates both hotels, hostels and tours. They will send you offers for airport transfer and tours to attractions nearby. Their advice and offer are helpful. There is a good supermarket nearby and you can save money by cooking at the kitchen of this property. Restaurants at the main street are expensive. If you want to dine out, please check google map and you should find some good restaurants with good value for money nearby.

• Lauren (10/5): Fantastic! - Amazing location - right in the centre of town. Beautiful cabins, hot water, comfortable beds and really friendly staff! The receptionist, Flo, was amazing and so friendly! She gave us so many recommendations and we were very grateful.
• Jose (10/5): Awesome place with everything nearby - The communication was incredible since the reservation was made, where they reached out to start validating details and looking to help out on tours, transfers or anything we might need for our trip. The location is great, right near many restaurants and shops. The room temperature and the hot water and its pressure were great too. Will be making sure to stay here every time I visit El Calafate. Only detail would be that in the second room we stayed in, the main room was upstairs. But, this wasn't an issue for us, just something to make sure to ask about if a person does have an issue with going up a set of stairs.
• Dylan (8/5): Nice stay - The property is just a short walk away from many restaurants and shops. Reception staff were very helpful throughout stay. The room was quite large with an upstairs containg more beds. There was a small area for cooking and also a fridge. We recommend leaving the heater on at all times as the room gets extremely cold. We arranged what we thought was a private taxi at reception to bring us to the airport. The taxi made a stop at a sister property to collect another couple making the drive extremely cramped with all of our bags. The cost of the journey was not spread out amongst 4 (I assume the other couple also had to pay full price). May be best to arrange the transport yourself.

• Danijela (9/5): Superb - Comunication with the owner was great. The cabana was warm and clean. Good location in the city. It is wooden structure. The bunk bed downstairs is shaky. Not so comfortable martresses overall.
• Zoë (7/5): Basic but a bargain - Very good value, excellent location in the centre of town, friendly and helpful staff who are easy to contact on WhatsApp and who can help book tours etc Unfortunately, our boiler was broken for the first 2 days so no hot water. Also apartment was old/basic- a few things broken, such as drawers and one of the hob rings. There was no oven as seen in the photos. It was basic but for what you pay, it's fair enough.

• Gregory (4/5): Not restful - The property itself was a good value for the money and right in the e middle of town next to lots of restaurants and shopping. Look at the picture shown closely. I stayed in unit #12 at the end adjacent to a large wall of the back of another building. The next morning I went around the front and the facility appeared to be a large gym. I don’t know exactly what they were doing in there, dropping weights or construction or it was Fight Club night, but there were very loud noises coming from there until 2:00 am. I got 4 hours of sleep before I had to get up.

• Ngot (7/5): Okay stay, but the property can improve. - Location is perfect! We had a nice garden and space in front to chill, which is very nice. Excellent staff and hospitality. The smell is very bad. First they covered with a diffuser smell, but after we smelled a very bad drainage smell. All facilities are old and almost broken. There were flies everywhere as well.

• Hernawati (4/5): Good luck with your stay - Location is close by to the shop Disappointed with the management, when the booking was confirmed 3 weeks ago asked about my arrival time and told them that i will be arrive at 1 pm. on the day for check in time arrived at 1.10pm , made a payment and finished for the check in paperwork. Reception lady said check in time 2pm, i can’t let you in the room is not ready. 🙁 stayed in cabana no.11 for 3 days and 2 nights. First night, cabanas no 11 and no 12 had share plasterboard walls each other meaning you will be hearing noises. the guest in cabana no.12 came at 11 pm with the noise they made and smoking in their room. i can smell them as bedroom is in the top level and next each other. second night, The guest in cabana no. 12 had a BBQ with their car parked in front of my top window and turn the music ON as we are having music festival until 11 pm. I made a complained to the receptionist via whats app chat about their smoking in their bedroom and loud music 🎵 ON. replied from the management was : “yes, we know that!!”. what a pity !! ☹️

• Alexander (7/5): Good - Location is pretty convenient, the staff is very helpful and available when needed The place was in a bit of rough shape but did the work, however the heating did not reach several parts of the cabin, like the bathroom or beds in the ground floor do it was a little uncomfortable and we had to move things around and sleep together upstares in order to stay warm, not ideal
• Jndsan95 (6/5): Pleasant - Really nice staff. Warm and cosy cabin The noise. Firstly, the walls are paper thin. There was a family with a baby next door and so when the baby cried in the night I could hear everything. The cabin i stayed in is built right next to an indoor football pitch as well with its roof attached to the building. The football pitch is built with corrugated iron only and so every time a ball hits the iron the bedroom vibrates. The footballers played until 2am each night I stayed and so with these two things combined I barely slept.

I do not recommend this hotel. - sink is not working properly - there is not enough hot water - they tried to charge 15% for credit card payment. we paid in USD, have not received an invoice. - the walls are thin, you can follow the conversation of the neighbors. we have reached out but they did not reply to our message.

• Marta (4/5): Don’t if you’d like to have some sleep.. - I only liked the location. Everything.. it was old, no hot water in the bathroom sink but the biggest problem was noise. Loud banging till late at night, papier thin walls , you can hear a conversation next door. Thr Cabañas is very dated.
• Ilse (5/5): Passable - Excellent location, in the hear of El Calafate. Good communication from hosts. For this great price I guess we should have known not to expect too much. If you are only looking for a place to stay and planning to be out the whole day it will be fine. Kirchen only has very basic utensils and odds and ends with no counter space to prep meals. Outside random food was lying around on the grass to feed stray cats.

• Guya (5/5): Passable - The cabana is in a great position and its a great cheap option, but it looks very old, water leaked from bathroom toilet and sink, shower drain was blocked, the house was very cold and a bit dirty

• Charles (5/5): Owner tried to help, but you get what you pay for. - We really like the location of this Cabanas. Very close to commercial street - only half of a block. Close to everything you would need: restaurants, shopping, travel agencies, and you name it. Also the owner came to pick us up at the airport and also arranged transportation to the airport when we left (both with fees - totally reasonable). The owner is responsive and willing to help and the price is good - however, you get what you pay for :) My wife and I stayed in family-owned cottages and hospitality facilities many times in the past and we knew there were always some surprises and our expectations should be a bit open-minded. I have to say that the condition here did not meet our expectation. Actually, far from it. There are a lot that can be improved, facility wise, that is. It listed as a multi-bed unit, but did not mention the major bedroom that has a double bed and a twin is on the second floor without bathroom. There is a bunk bed squeezed right in front of the bathroom on the first floor. It is hard to image for a family of five to live in the property. Hot water supply could not meet the demand for even one person - hot shower for 5 minutes, then it run out. You had to stop and wait for it to be hot again. And you had to be sure no one in the kitchen uses the hot water at the same time. There was no shampoo in the bath room was also a bit of surprise. The stuff in the kitchen were also very primitive and "beat-up". Though it could be expected because the cost is not high, but still, it could be better at least for the basics. The owner tried hard to help though. So I give a "fair" grade. Or otherwise, it would be a "disappointment".

• Shirley (10/5): Exceptional - wonderful location, value, and service. most importantly, it's clean. the entire team is fantastic, they picked me up from the airport and dropped me off at the bus station. communication was easy via WhatsApp. my heater broke during my stay, but the staff attended to it quickly and showed me how to use the backup portable heater. i had everything that i needed, including a microwave and electric water ketttle. the cabins were spacious and a comfortable place to stay after a long day of trekking the sink dribbles water onto the surface if the stream is too low and i had slight issues with the trash can and toilet paper holder. however, these are all things i can live with
