• Uri (10/5): - Excellent location, just a short stroll to everything. Right next to train station. Very spacious modern, studios , with free wifi. I got free upgrade to high level within city view. Staff were very friendly, professional, accommodating and check in was easy. I will definitely stay here again, very happy with everything and had a wonderful comfortable stay. Parking was available for extra fee in same building which was great, as street parking is metred.

• Josh (1/5): Not good, would not stay again. People were smoking in the rooms next to ours, uncomfortable beds - Host was very pushy about giving good reviews before seeing the rooms. Adjacent rooms had people smoking in the room, beds were very uncomfortable, unclean beds and basic.

There was room for small dining table and chairs, but none provided, so eating in was difficult. Only two small pillows provided, and they weren't the most comfortable.

• Belinda (2/5): Very disappointing stay with cleanliness issues and no hot water.It did not meet basic expectations. - The location was convenient. We stayed one night in February and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The room had significant dust buildup under the bed and the fridge was visibly dirty. The floor also felt unclean when walking barefoot. During the night I had an allergic reaction to the dust and needed to take medication. In the morning we discovered there was no hot water, which was particularly difficult as I had recently undergone spinal surgery and was hoping to use a hot shower to relieve pain. The room layout was also very different from the photos shown on the listing and felt much more cramped than expected. While the property returned our deposit, the issues during the stay were not otherwise resolved. I hope the property improves its housekeeping and maintenance standards.

• Majella (7/5): Enjoyable and close to transport. Good staff, friendly and helpful - The location and the staff member I deal with were both excellent. The property has reasonable security and relatively quiet at night. My room was superficially clean but could have done with a proper full clean. The inclusion of tea towels, laundry powder would have been good.

Service could be a bit sharper - Quiet, clean, modern, and tidy, good location The room and kitchen was quite bare - a toaster, laundry powder, and cooling implements would have been helpful. Took a bit of following up to get payments sorted and deposit returned. Disappointing that they offered discounts for favourable reviews.

Sketchy property managers, dirty, and unsafe. - Good location, although 100% not worth it. *Would NOT recommend (unsafe and disgusting) (Asked us to not leave them a review at the end of our conversation too :D) Warning to any future travellers who would want to stay here, I wouldn't. Note: Check Google reviews for more photos, and other bad experiences. Ignore all the "very real" and definitely not paid 5 star reviews that pop up all at the same time after a bad review is made, and see the many the 1 star, and bad experiences real stayers have. Our experience - Whilst checking in over the phone, the property manager asked us to do her a “favour” by starting a free cancellation process with no refund through the Booking.com app — while we still had access to the room during our planned stay. This felt extremely suspicious and likely a way to avoid platform fees (or she planned to give us a bad room and get us to cancel to avoid any fees) It also didn’t seem compliant with standard terms. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there: * The bathroom was clearly not cleaned properly — visible dirt on the floors, marks on the counter, and the toilet seat was neglected * Bed sheets didn’t fit properly and had stains * The room had a damp, musty smell from the moment we walked in * The smoke alarm was covered with plastic (which honestly was unsafe and probably illegal) * The balcony door locked but didn’t matter as you could still open fully — being on the first floor, was a major security concern * The freezer was dirty and also some kind of yellow residue left inside We arrived late and even had to pay for parking since we didnt arranged beforehand. After seeing the condition of the room and feeling genuinely uncomfortable, we decided it wasn’t safe to stay. We ended up leaving and staying at a friend’s place instead. We had originally booked for 5 nights but requested a refund due to the overall condition and safety concerns. This was the worst experiences we’ve had, especially as regular travellers.

• Boris (10/5): This was the second time I stayed at St Lukes square, will always return here when I am in Sydney. - It was spacious for me, it was clean. The location is one of the best in Burwood. I came to check in 9pm and the reception was still opened which was good. They even look after my bag after I checked out because I had an appointment. I wished I had a higher level to see a better view at the balcony.

• Emily (4/5): Disappointing. - Convenient location The bed was awfully hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were terrible. The bath towels were thin. No hand or face towels were provided. No tissues were provided.

The pillows were inadequate. And I've had no response to my complaint!

Dommage !! - Emplacement + Lave linge et sèche linge Conditions d'accueil déplorables : l'accueil fermait officiellement à 23h, nous avions prévenu que nous arriverions à 21h30. A notre arrivée, l'accueil était fermé, nous avons dû attendre le passage d'un habitant pour pénétrer dans l'immeuble. Nous avons appelé le contact que nous avions qui nous a demandé de faire un virement et de lui en envoyer la preuve avant de nous indiquer comment récupérer notre clé. Tout cela à cette heure tardive après la fatigue du voyage et le stress de nous retrouver devant porte close, alors que cela aurait pu être géré à l'avance dans nos échanges. Quasiment pas de vaisselle : un fait-tout sans couvercle et au revêtement très abimé, 1 fourchette, 1 couteau de cuisine à bout rond, 1 mug pour le petit déjeuner, pas de torchon. Après réclamation nous avons obtenu un torchon à la propreté douteuse, 1 fourchette + 1 couteau + 1 mug, en bref pas de quoi utiliser la cuisine devenue inutile faute d'ustensile et de vaisselle. Linge de maison propre mais tâché : draps du lit, ainsi que serviettes de toilette (1 serviette chacun pour le séjour de 8 jours) : peu engageant !!
