Guest Reviews
- Boylan (1/5): Would not stay here again. - Location. The only thing going for this motel is its proximity to the hospital. You would be better off staying elsewhere and getting a taxi/Uber to the hospital. Cleanliness was poor.
The bedding smelt like dirty linen.
The AC cannot be adjusted.
The intercom system was out of service.
The shower head leaked and was dripping continuously.
No onsite staff to assist.
- Rok (9/5): - Čisto in urejeno Klima piha proti postelji, ne da se je ugasniti
- Sharyn (4/5): Property was not ready for check in until nearly 5pm. Owner did communicate disruption although for the price you pay a - Location was great to St George Hospital No tea and coffee in room, no cloth or detergent to wash up.
- Barbara (7/5): Could have been cleaner, drink splashed up the door, dusty light switches - The code wasnt the right number, but Michelle sorted it out pretty quickly The rooms weren’t that clean to be honest
- Matt (8/5): 8 out of ten - Location Mattress
Street lights
- Robert (7/5): Location, location, location - Location just around the corner from St Georges Private Hospital made this ideal for us.
- trevor (10/5): - Convenient to restaurants, train station shop, and a few minutes walk to St George Hospital
Calibre of service, cleanliness and available, professional, and competent management
Would strongly recommend
- Dustin (6/5): Good location, but very ordinary accomodation - Location Very small room, there was rubbish in the room, and the the facilities were tired, used and not working correctly.
- smith (9/5): Great location for hospital access - Fantastic location for easy hospital access. Very clean and nice. There was a plumbing issue on 2nd nite which caused the smell of urine to invade the hallway
It is expensive to stay here and parking has to be paid for in the adjoining multi storey car park
- Marcelo (4/5): - There were no towels, I was all day out and when I came back home in the night, I couldn’t take a shower because there was nothing I could use to dry myself with, I’m hugely disappointed with this situation. How could it be possible that there is not even one towel, I’m not sure if this was a mistake by your side but it was a very bad experience not being able to taking a bath after a full day of outdoor activities.
- Hung-Ling (Lilian) (6/5): -
- Bridget (8/5): - so close to the hospital proximity to hospital
- Amanda (5/5): -
- Julie (5/5): Fair , convenient - Close proximity to the hospital Very dirty under the bed, no teaspoons, no bin liners, only one bowl and 1 mug , door swipe not working, could only get one channel on tv
- Beth (8/5): It was very close to the hospital - Very convenient to the hospital Was late being able to get into the property.
Couldn’t contact manger when our plans changed even though I rang several times.
The room could have gone to someone else and perhaps we could have received a refund. The tv had only one channel
- stephen (7/5): Great location if you need to access St George Hospital either as a visitor or day patient. - location great, next to St George Private Hospital Air conditioning controls.
- Nicole (6/5): - Location was great. Close to the airport and cafes and shopping. The bed was small and the room was not as clean as I had hoped.
- Joanne (7/5): Good location, poor experience with bedding. - Great location to the hospital and eateries, quiet, good room facilities. I found a previous guest's public hair on my sheets. The pillowcases and sheets appeared not to be fresh. There appeared to be some dandruff on the secondary decorative pillow. This impacted my overall comfort level and not something I'd expect for the good price I paid.
- Glen (8/5): Short & sweet - Close accommodation for our needs The compendium had incorrect information but ringing to finally get onto someone she was very helpful & didn’t know about the inaccuracy of the books so was fixing the problem ASSP.
- Paul (8/5): - Location
- Harris (10/5): - Comfortable and close to hospital
- Nicholas (6/5): Average - Location No tea bags
Noisy toilet
- Emilio (7/5): confortable -
- Jake (9/5): -
- Karina (3/5): Great for Those Wanting To Catch An Infection - Staff is helpful and nice. Very convenient location, a minute away from both public and private hospitals. The overall impression of the place: absolutely filthy. It’s clear that not even the most bare-minimum level of cleaning was done. While the bedsheets and towels did appear fresh and the bathroom was semi-decent, the rest of the place was horribly unhygienic and definitely unsuitable for anyone staying there after having surgery - lest they want to end up with an infection. The walls, doors, blinds, and furniture were splattered with mystery stains, which I suspect were either bodily fluids or blood. Honestly, I felt sick looking at it because it was horrific. The carpet is old, dirty and heavily stained with another mystery substance, making it unsuitable to walk on without shoes. Bathroom vanity drawers had more blood stains, and there was so much dirt, crumbs and filth just brushed away behind the desk. I wish I could add more photos to this review. It’s clear that proper and thorough cleaning hadn’t been carried out in a very long time. And unfortunately, I don’t think anyone cares either. This is a real shame because this accommodation has a lot of potential. The location is great and very convenient. It would have been reasonable value for money if maintained and cleaned properly. Because the hygiene is dismal, it’s incredibly overpriced at $200 per night for this absolute dump. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again and I cannot recommend that anyone else does either because of this.
- Simon (6/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - Able to walk to hospital , shops and train station
- Emmett (5/5): OK - location bathroom step dangerous
- Emmett (5/5): OK -
- Fiona (7/5): Good -
- Colin (8/5): Stay was for surgery, excellent location to hospital. - Location excellent, very helpful caring person ready to help with arrival and departure access as well as meet requirements. Michelle went over and above in service. Nothing.
- Rachel (8/5): Very good -
- White (5/5): This place was clean tidy but very over priced for what you got will not be staying there again sorry - Close to everything Over priced
- Debbie (7/5): Good - It was nice and close to both St. George Hospitals. We had stain sheets, so we slept on the top sheet and didn't end up with the studio apartment I paid for. The neighbours were really noisy. The staff were very helpful when the hospital kept changing their minds.
- Anderson (9/5): Great place to stay near the hospital, easy access using public transport. - Proximity to hospital. Fairly updated rooms
- Warren (5/5): Passable -
- Arna (1/5): Would not recommend. - I had nothing but issues with this place! The air conditioning in my room wasn’t working, the WiFi wouldn’t connect, and I was locked out of my room when the batteries in the door-lock system ran out, only to be fronted with terrible customer service when trying to rectify the issue after working hours. Did not feel safe or valued. I left prior to my stay finishing.
- Lisa (2/5): Terrible experience - Close to the hospital. Not as advertised. Had to step up to the bathroom, the toilet was very low to ground (not high), NO grab bars, very dirty. The sheets look liked they had been slept in before we arrived, the carpet not vaccumed & definitely NEVER dusted. The towels were stained with some sort of blood or something gross. The blanket had been vomited on & just rolled up & left in the only closet. Bag of rubbish left at front entrance for days. Had trouble with taps called for help & no response so emailed for urgent help and it took 13hours to respond. Wifi NEVER worked in the room. Could connect to network but no internet access. Complained but never got sorted (& as I was out of hospital I needed to be able to entertain myself, ONLY had anntena channels).
I have travelled the world and this was the most dirty & worst customer service experience I've ever had. If I had more money I would have left & gobe elsewhere, but I'd already paid $1500 to stay here. NEVER again!!!!
The rooms were small which I was prepared for, but NO terrace as was advised. And the recliners in the shared lounge were unusual. If you can get them out it's impossible to push back in and get out of. After surgery I was not able to even sit in them. This place for not appropriate for a person after surgery. Or for anything really.
- Clive (7/5): Good - Very close to St George hospital. Handy to shops, food outlets and transport. Small room for a long stay.
- Laura (9/5): Superb - Love it!!
- Richard (5/5): Passable - Close to where I needed to be. Traffic noise while trying to sleep.
- Cong (7/5): Good - good site About Air conditioner, I could not change the temperature, so cold at night!
- Karoline (10/5): Michelle was very friendly and accommodating. Thanks for everything! - Very clean and comfortable. N/A
- Sharon (6/5): Great location but cleanliness was poor and had trouble with keys and fob not working correctly. - Location was excellent Cleanliness was poor
- Narelle (8/5): IT SUITED MY NEEDS, CLOSE TO HSOPITAL - CLOSE TO HOSPITAL , SUPERMARKET AND TRAIN STATION NO COMFORTABLE CHAIRS
- Nicole (9/5): Great location, very clean it all you need for the stay - Location was good close to the hospital public and close to restaurants We only had one toilet paper roll for two nights and the bed was hard not enough padding it’s not soundproof as you could hear the tv next door well they had there tv up loud which my friend couldn’t sleep while I was in hospital the next night
- Rollin (8/5): I spent most of the time in hospital, my wife enjoyed her stay and the convenience of visiting. - No food provided or available at cafeteria. Position was excellent, being a short walk to the Private Hospital. The room was clean and quiet despite proximity to highway. The absence of reception staff has its downside. The code worked and dropped down a key, but we tried for ages to access the building, then when someone else opened the door we still couldn't get the lift to work. We assumed it was our fault and tried re-reading the instructions and following them repeatedly. Eventually we called the after hours number and a helpful lady said the key was probably faulty, sent another code and the second key worked perfectly. It was fortunate we had enough time before hospital admission to allow for these delays.
- Jeffrey (6/5): overall it done what was needed. That was have surgery , rest, go home - location was great air conditioner stayed the same if we switched it on or off
- Sabrina (8/5): Very good - Excellent rooms. Easy access and instructions
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Crepaldi (8/5): Very good -
- Terri (9/5): Superb -
- Sachiko (3/5): Nothing like pictures and no air conditioning - Not like pictures. No individual kitchen or laundry like it was promised.
- Debbie (8/5): It was great for my sisters to stay at whilst I was in hospital - The beds were comfortable and it was a great location to get to the hospital The step into the bathroom is a bit high
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Serena (7/5): Invalid contact number on website - I liked the room it was comfortable, not big but had everything I needed , well , nearly ..shower had good pressure and bathroom good size . I didn't receive the pin code to get in as there was a mix up with my contact number ??? I arrived very late and just wanted sleep after driving for 7 and a half hours but couldn't get my key , the number they provide in emails for contact didn't work , the number I got off the company I booked through didn't work , I tried emailing etc with no response to that issue . When I finally got a number that went through , the lady on the other end as very helpful and nice . Finally got to my room though to find off milk so no cuppa after such a horrible day and night plus I found mouldy flat bread in bottom of draw . Besides those little hiccups , everything else was great 👍
- Jayne (10/5): My friend and I stayed 2 nights. we didn’t see any staff but they contacted me via text, I received a text before our ar - It was minimal yet everything we needed It was great for what we needed if I had to pick anything it would be a few more tea spoons would have helpful 🥰
- Jessica (6/5): The location of medistay was great. The hotel room itself was clean, very small and no change of towels even after a 3 n - Location Bed was not comfortable. The blinds did not block out the sunlight, towels are not changed over daily. I had to email to get new towels.
- Gita (6/5): For 4 nights accomodation the size of the room was quite small for 2 people staying - Close to the hospital How tight the room size was
- Robert (8/5): Would stay again - Neat, clean all good Room 6, needs curtain on window additional to blinds as too much building light comes through at night disrupting sleep. Hot water takes a while to come through, not big issue.
- Oleg (10/5): Perfect for the short stay -
- Peter (8/5): Great location, after hours staff excellent. - Location was great for us. We were a 7 minute walk to were our son lives. The coffee and tea was out of date and there was no spare rolls of toilet paper. Having said that our contact Michelle rectified the problem that night.
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stacy (9/5): Superb - In a perfect location for hospital and close to shops and restaurants No car park facilities and a double bed
- Sengwaketse (8/5): Very good -
- Angelika (9/5): Superb - Since I do not have an Australian phone number, Michelle contacted me before to make sure that I have the code for collecting the key. All very uncomplicated and pleasant! The free WiFi was good enough to have some online meetings with several people at the same time.
- Sharon (10/5): comfortable, great location and very safe - fantastic location so I could get to the hospital quickly especially when my dad became critical late at night a little pricey for just the facilities without access to cafe shop/ Restaurants. especially with no daily service.
- Rizwan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Matipaishe (9/5): Superb -
- Stuart (8/5): Very good -
- Mahaki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maureen (5/5): We chose to stay here because of the close proximity to the hospital. won’t stay again. - Close to hospital The step into the bathroom was high. The position of the television wasn’t good, the corner of the screen was cut off because of the cupboard. There was only one chair so the other person had to sit on the bed. The smell of food cooking comes through the air conditioning and can be very unpleasant at times. The property is overpriced for what you get.
- Aleksandar (8/5): Very good - parking
- Jaime (6/5): Pleasant - close proximity to shops and hospital the blinds did not shut out any light so at 5am it was so bright in the room. when you are here for a procedure or operation like we were it wasn’t ideal
- James (3/5): Poor -
- Stuart (4/5): Disappointing - Clean, modern room Unmarked step up to bathroom caused a fall. Very small, cramped room. Owner gave little help with problems. One side of mattress went up.
- Gian (8/5): Very good -
- 孙 (6/5): Pleasant - air con sucks
- Anne (1/5): Devastating, we checked out 30 mins after arriving - the property did not meet the expectations of the photos or description. the lounge shown in the pictures is a community lounge room. in our booking we requested a double bed, which was confirmed, however on arrival the room was twin beds. the room was very tiny, it is hard to move around to get to bathroom & relax. no wardrobe for hanging clothes. This is not suitable accomodation for tourists/visitors to Sydney. We were so disappointed we didn’t stay. We found appropriate tourist alternative options 11 kms away at Cronulla.
- Cody (8/5): Medistay staff were great and the place perfect for the hospital trip we had to undertake. - Very modern with everything needed and in a great location. A short walk to anything you could need. A king bed would of been fantastic but not sure if it would fit. the water pressure in the shower was very poor also.
- Adrian (8/5): Very good -
